Violence Erupts as COVID Protests Expand Across Europe

Violence erupted at demonstrations in Belgium and the Netherlands over the weekend as tougher Covid-19 restrictions to curb the resurgent pandemic led to angry protests in several European countries.

Ten of thousands of people marched through central Brussels on Sunday to protest against reinforced restrictions imposed by the Belgian government to counter the latest rise in coronavirus cases. The march, which police estimated involved 35,000 people, began peacefully but descended into violence as several hundred people started pelting officers, smashing cars and setting rubbish bins on fire. Police responded with teargas and water cannon.

“We have injuries but we cannot yet say how many,” said Ilse Vande Keere, a police spokesperson. It was also unclear how many people had been detained.

Demonstrators had earlier gathered to protest against the government’s advice to get vaccinated and any possible moves to impose mandatory shots. Shouting “freedom, freedom, freedom!” and singing the anti-fascist song Bella Ciao, protesters lined up behind a huge banner saying “together for freedom” and marched to the EU headquarters. Signs among the crowd varied from far-right insignia to the rainbow flags of the LGBT community.

It followed a second night of violence in the Netherlands on Saturday, when five police officers were injured and at least 40 people arrested. Dutch authorities deployed water cannon, dogs and mounted police to dispel crowds of rioting youths who lit fires and lobbed fireworks in The Hague and elsewhere, after more than 50 people were arrested in Rotterdam on Friday. Scientists Are Dumbfounded That COVID-19 Barely Exists in Africa

COVID-19 has faded into the background of daily life in Africa, and scientists are unable to figure out exactly why.

With a population of 1.3 billion people, Africa is the world’s second most-populous continent, trailing only Asia, and it’s also the world’s poorest. But despite the gap in resources — Africa has much less access to vaccines than places like the Americas and Western Europe — the continent has experienced the second-lowest number of deaths from the virus of any of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) six designated regions.

Nearly 152,000 Africans have died of COVID-19 since the global pandemic began, according to the WHO. The Western Pacific region has seen just 136,267 deaths, but otherwise Africa has had the best pandemic outcome in the world. In the Americas, more than 2.3 million people have died from the virus, and in Europe, the number is nearly 1.5 million.

Scientists acknowledge that sparse reporting systems and poor data collections play some part in the low numbers, according to The Associated Press. But the astronomical gap between the region and the rest of the world is too substantial to simply chalk up to poor record-keeping, they say. Report: More Than 100,000 Americans Died in Past Year From Overdoses

More than 100,000 people died of drug overdoses in the one-year period ending in April of this year, according to a report from The Associated Press.

Based on available data from death certificates, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that between May 2020 and April 2021, 100,300 Americans were killed by overdoses. Since reports of drug overdose deaths can take months to be finalized, the count is not official, only an estimate made based on the 98,000 reports the CDC has received so far this year.

The CDC reported about 93,000 overdose deaths in 2020, according to the AP. That number was the highest recorded in a calendar year, but Robert Anderson, the CDC’s chief of mortality statistics, said calendar year 2021 would end with over 100,000 deaths. “2021 is going to be terrible,” Dr. Daniel Ciccarone, a drug policy expert at the University of California, San Francisco, told the AP.

Deaths from drug overdoses have been steadily rising for more than 20 years, but they have accelerated in the past two years and jumped nearly 30% in the last year, according to new CDC data. Drug overdoses now account for more annual deaths than car accidents, gun violence, and even respiratory illnesses like pneumonia and influenza. The never-before-seen number is also rapidly approaching the number of deaths from diabetes, currently the seventh-most prevalent cause of death in the country. Pfizer Seeks FDA Authorization for COVID-19 Pill

Drug company Pfizer has submitted its COVID-19 pill treatment to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for authorization to be used for certain people.

On Tuesday, Pfizer announced that “it is seeking Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of its investigational oral antiviral candidate, PAXLOVID™ […] for the treatment of mild to moderate COVID-19 in patients at increased risk of hospitalizations or death.”

“If authorized or approved, PAXLOVID would be the first oral antiviral of its kind … that could be prescribed as an at-home treatment to high-risk patients at the first sign of infection, potentially helping patients avoid severe illness which can lead to hospitalization and death,” the announcement noted.

The Wall Street Journal reported, “Initial supplies of Pfizer’s pill would be limited. Scientists Stunned by COVID Findings in Deer Population That Could Extend the Pandemic

Scientists studying coronavirus infections in deer said they were stunned at their findings and cautioned that deer may complicate and extend the pandemic.

Veterinarians at Pennsylvania State University found active SARS-CoV-2 infections in at least 30% of the deer tested from Iowa in 2020. The findings were published online in a study last week.

“It was actually quite stunning to us,” said Penn State veterinary microbiologist Vivek Kapur. “We were very surprised to see such a high number of positive samples.”

FDA Recalls More Than 2 Million Biden-Funded COVID-19 Tests

An at-home COVID-19 testing kit that the Biden administration spent $231.8 million to produce was just recalled, due to “higher-than-acceptable false positive test results,” according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The 2.2 million faulty kits were manufactured by Australian company Ellume, the company that produced the first over-the-counter antigen test. It was granted emergency authorization use on December 15. Ellume was also the first company to garner FDA approval for over-the-counter COVID-19 tests, on February 11.

“Ellume is recalling certain lots of the COVID-19 Home Test because they have higher-than-acceptable false positive test results for SARS-CoV-2,” said an FDA press release. “The reliability of negative test results is not affected. For these tests, a false positive test result shows that a person has the virus when they do not have it.”

In February, the Biden administration authorized a $231.8 million deal with Ellume to speed up the production of at-home tests. “Making easier tests available to every American is a high priority with obvious benefits,” White House senior adviser Andy Slavitt said in February. 42 Fully Vaccinated Indiana Residents Have Died Of COVID-19 Over 1 Week; Matthew McConaughey Says He Wants to ‘Find Out More Information’ Before Mandating Vaccines for His Children

By International Business Times. More than 40 fully vaccinated residents have died of COVID-19 in Indiana over the past week as breakthrough infections continue to rise, according to state data.

Indiana health officials recorded 42 cases of breakthrough COVID-19 deaths among the fully vaccinated between Oct. 29 and Nov. 4. The state has now reported 623 deaths among the fully vaccinated, which represents 0.018% of its inoculated population.

At least 89% of the breakthrough deaths involved fully vaccinated individuals aged 65 and older, with an average age of 78, according to the state’s COVID-19 Vaccination Dashboard.

During the same period, the state also recorded 2,994 new confirmed COVID-19 cases among the fully vaccinated. The state has reported a total of 59,228 breakthrough infections since the beginning of the pandemic, representing 1.753% of its fully vaccinated population.

Breakthrough COVID-19 hospitalizations also increased over the past week. Between Oct. 29 and Nov. 4, health officials recorded 84 new admissions. There are currently 1,268 inoculated residents admitted with the novel coronavirus statewide. The figures represent 0.038% of the state’s fully vaccinated population. Speaking at The New York Times’ DealBook summit, the 52-year-old actor expressed hesitancy to require his children to get the vaccine.

Yeah, talk about being dead wrong. He was wrong about the Wuhan grants. He was wrong about masks. And he did an ace job destroying the credibility of the vaccines by acting as if they don’t work. Biden’s Monumental Game of Chicken

Throughout 2020, America’s doctors, nurses, paramedics and other medical professionals were celebrated as heroes – courageous frontline soldier-healers, selflessly battling a fearsome new pandemic called COVID-19.

Just one year later, in 2021, tens of thousands of those same “frontline heroes” are now branded as rebels, conspiracy theorists, extremists – and yes, potential terrorists, at least according to the Department of Homeland Security. Considered so dangerous as to merit termination, their professional and personal lives turned upside down due to their decision not to be injected with the experimental COVID vaccines, they are forbidden from working in their field of hard-won expertise and forced to take any job they can get – or go on unemployment. Many are compelled to sell their homes, relocate their families entirely and try to start over. This is happening in massive numbers, right now, all over America.

From hero to untouchable – what a difference a year makes. A year in which America has been ruled by a corrupt, dishonest and cognitively disintegrating puppet of a president totally subservient to secret handlers and even-more-secret anti-American agendas. . .

The same fate is being imposed on America’s police, its firemen, its border patrol agents and other key protectors and defenders of civilized society; its airline pilots, air-traffic controllers, plane mechanics and others essential to America’s transportation and distribution systems; plus all federal government employees, multitudes of teachers and college students, and all employees of private companies employing more than 100 people – all ordered by Joe Biden to “GET VACCINATED” or else. Then there are the forced vaccinations for the entire Armed Forces of the United States, populated largely by young people at an age and fitness level that render serious COVID-19 outcomes extremely rare. Indeed, as of Oct. 8, only 62 out of 1.4 million members of America’s military – approximately 0.004% – had died of COVID.

In reality, what the Biden administration has put into motion resembles a monumental game of “Chicken” between the “government-medical complex” and tens of millions of Americans who simply choose not to be vaccinated. It’s a harrowing, death-defying contest to see which will happen first: Either millions give in and allow their bodies to be injected with the controversial experimental medicines, or the entire nation loses as many as a quarter of its most essential workers who are forbidden from working, causing the nation to grind to a halt – crippling everything from law enforcement to airlines to commercial supply chains, even hospitals. The shutdowns are already happening – from an obstetric hospital wing in New York to a neonatal intensive care unit in Maine to nursing homes announcing their imminent closure. Doctors Gather at Summit to Warn Against Vaccinating Children

Following the CDC’s approval of the Pfizer vaccine for young children, scientists and physicians at a summit in Florida warned against a rush to vaccinate a population with very little chance of severe infection from the coronavirus.

The Florida Summit on Covid in Ocala on Saturday addressed three big questions, reported Mary Beth Pfeiffer for TrialSite News. Do young children need vaccination against COVID? Are the vaccinations safe? Are unvaccinated children a threat to adults?

On each question, the physicians and researchers challenged the federal government’s conclusions, pointing to studies and data.

Dr. Robert Malone, inventor of the mRNA technology employed by the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines: Inoculating 28 million children 5 to 11 years old could lead to “1,000 or more excess deaths” while the risk from COVID-19 for healthy children is “about zero” and appears to be lower than the seasonal flu.

Paul Alexander, a clinical epidemiologist and former senior adviser on pandemic policy in U.S. Department of Health and Human Services: “We’ve been fed a lot of misleading information … children don’t get severely ill … children don’t die from this infection.”
