Barstool Sports founder and President Dave Portnoy has raised over $18 million for struggling small businesses that have continued paying employees despite financial devastation caused by crippling government lockdowns.

Nearly 80 businesses have already been supported by the Barstool Fund after Portnoy became fed up with unjust lockdowns and no relief. “I can’t believe in this country that what I consider the most basic right of them all, the right to earn a living, the right to earn a livelihood, is now being stolen,” Portnoy said. “And they’re saying that they protect us. Let us protect ourselves. You’re not protecting a family that you just destroyed.” . . .

Unlike when citizens blindly hand over tax dollars to the government monolith, Barstool Fund donors know their money will really be helping people. The countless testimonies posted on Portnoy’s Instagram are a perfect example of why private-sector support is more effective, efficient, and trustworthy than big government.

Pentagon Study: Flu Shot Raises Risk of Coronavirus by 36%

On March 12th, 2020, Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta held a global town hall on “Corona Facts and Fears.” During the discussion, Anderson said to the viewing audience, “And, again, if you are concerned about coronavirus, and you haven’t gotten a flu shot…you should get a flu shot.”

Setting safety and efficacy of influenza vaccination aside, is Anderson’s claim that the flu shot will help people fight COVID-19 remotely true? The short answer is no.

In fact, the results of many peer-reviewed, published studies prove that Anderson’s recommendation may have been the worst advice he could have given the public.

COVID Curfew Violators Arrested — Including Prominent Restaurant Owner

Police arrested at least a half-dozen people — including a prominent restaurant owner — in Key West, Florida, for violating the city’s New Year’s Eve COVID-19 curfew, the Key West Citizen reported.

. . .The paper said Joe Walsh has been a vocal opponent of several city COVID-19 restrictions, including a mask requirement, and that on Thursday he emailed City Manager Greg Veliz stating he wouldn’t close Fogarty’s, his bar and restaurant.

Turns out Walsh’s business was the only one that failed to heed the city’s curfew, which required nonessential businesses to close at 10 p.m. every night through Sunday, the Citizen reported.

“He said it was not a real law,” Veliz added to the paper regarding Walsh’s objection to the curfew.

Report: Cheap Hair Lice Drug May Cut Risk of COVID-19 Death by 80 Percent

A simple treatment for COVID-19 could be cheaper than 20 bucks — and familiar to most grade school nurses.

Head lice drug ivermectin is being explored as a potential treatment for the coronavirus following a promising new study that showed an 80% reduction in hospitalized COVID-19 patient deaths.

Just 8 out of 573 patients who received ivermectin passed away, compared to the 44 individuals out of 510 who died after being given a placebo.

An earlier study of the antiparasitic prescription drug, which costs between $17 and $43 for a course of treatment, according to GoodRx, revealed promising results in April — by removing all viral RNA within 48 hours of a single dose.

Liverpool University virologist Andrew Hill has called the new study “transformational” in the search for a coronavirus therapy. His findings, based on data from over 1,400 patients, were made public in a video posted to YouTube in which Hill discusses his results in a previously aired livestream. How Elites Are Leveraging COVID to ‘Reset’ the World

Looking back at 2020, it’s undeniable that this has been one of the strangest years in American history – from January’s sham presidential impeachment, to the coronavirus pandemic and economy-destroying national lockdown, to widespread hysterical demands to “defund the police” while Marxist mobs burned and looted American cities, to Big Tech scandalously suppressing journalism it doesn’t like, to Big Media openly siding with the senile and corrupt Joe Biden while portraying President Donald Trump as a mentally ill, racist would-be dictator, to November’s breathtakingly rigged election – likely the most crooked and corrupt in our history.

In between these wall-to-wall crises, blue-state mayors and governors still found time to close churches while keeping strip clubs open, destroy as many small businesses as possible while encouraging rioting, and threaten law-abiding citizens with arrest and imprisonment for having too many people in their home for Thanksgiving or Christmas. . .

What we cryptically call “the left” is, of course, always trying to “reset,” “reform” or “transform” the world, as it is a fundamentally revolutionary worldview. Barack Obama, just prior to being elected president in 2008, famously said, “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” Today, Joe Biden likewise insists he wants to “transform” America. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, breathlessly anticipating the upcoming Georgia runoff races that will determine control of the U.S. Senate, announced with a flourish: “Now we take Georgia, and then we change America!” . . .

The first and most pivotal phase of the Great Reset plan under cover of COVID is, of course, winning the 2020 presidential election through a dizzyingly multifaceted attack on the integrity of the U.S. election system itself, on top of a unified campaign by Big Media and Big Tech to elect Joe Biden at all costs. . .

Indeed, right now, the elite class in America and around the world is planning – in fact, openly bragging about – the “Great Reset,” whereby they intend to leverage the COVID era’s widespread public fears and government’s rampant emergency powers to “reset” the world’s economic, social and governmental systems to institute a “more just” global socialist utopia – run by them. New Bill Would Allow State to Detain People if Deemed a Threat to Public Health

A bill being introduced in the New York State Assembly would allow the governor and other health officials to detain anyone suspected of being a “carrier” of a contagious disease, like the coronavirus.

The legislation is sponsored by Assemblyman N. Nick Perry and was previously introduced in 2015 due to Ebola virus, but never passed. The bill’s language says that if the governor “declares a state of health emergency due to an epidemic of any communicable disease” then the state can take steps to detain any individuals sick or suspected of being sick.

“Upon determining by clear and convincing evidence that the health of others is or may be endangered by a case, contact or carrier” the governor may, after consulting the health commissioner, “order the removal and/or detention of such a person or of a group of such persons by issuing a single order, identifying such persons either by name or by a reasonably specific description of the individuals or group being detained.”

Those detained can only be released if the state proves the person is not a threat to public health.

Persons detained would be held in a “medical facility” or another “appropriate facility or premises designated by the governor” for no longer than three days, but could be held longer. (Read more from “New Bill Would Allow State to Detain People if Deemed a Threat to Public Health” HERE)

240 People Diagnosed With COVID Despite Receiving Vaccine

Among the nearly one million Israelis vaccinated against coronavirus so far, some 240 Israelis have been diagnosed with the virus days after getting the shot, Channel 13 News reported Thursday.

The figure underscores the need for individuals to continue to protect themselves for weeks after being inoculated, as the body takes time to develop effective antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19.

The Pfizer vaccine is not made with the coronavirus itself, meaning that there is no chance anyone could catch it from the shots. Instead, the vaccine contains a piece of genetic code that trains the immune system to recognize the spiked protein on the surface of the virus and create antibodies to attack if it encounters the real thing.

But this process takes time, and studies of the vaccine so far have shown immunity to the virus rises only some 8-10 days after the first injection — and then only to around 50 percent effectiveness.

This is why the second dose of the vaccine, given 21 days after the first, is critical: It strengthens the immune system’s response to the virus, bringing it to 95% effectiveness and ensuring that immunity lasts. LA Healthcare Workers Refuse to Take COVID Vaccine

Up to 40% of front-line healthcare workers in Los Angeles County turned down taking the coronavirus vaccine despite receiving priority.

“I’m choosing the risk — the risk of having COVID, or the risk of the unknown of the vaccine,” April Lu, a 31-year-old nurse at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, told the Los Angeles Times.

“I think I’m choosing the risk of COVID. I can control that and prevent it a little by wearing masks, although not 100% for sure.”

State Senator Dead From COVID-19 Complications

Virginia state Sen. Ben Chafin died Friday from COVID-19 complications.

Chafin’s office confirmed his death in a news release obtained by WJHL, saying the 60-year-old lawmaker had been hospitalized for the past two weeks at VCU Medical Center.

The senator is survived by his wife and three children, the report said.

WATCH: Joe Biden Estimated 250,000 COVID Deaths This Month. He Was off by 178,000

President-elect Joe Biden spiked coronavirus hysteria early this month, warning Americans the nation would suffer 250,000 additional deaths from the novel Wuhan coronavirus by the end of the year. . .

At that point, The Atlantic’s COVID Tracking Project reported nearly 262,000 Americans had succumbed to the virus, making Biden’s prediction a near doubling of the nation’s nine-month death toll within a 30-day period. According to the latest data from the COVID Tracking Project, however, the U.S. death toll stands at nearly 334,000, meaning Biden was off by about 178,000 with 72,000 deaths in December.
