By Townhall. . .Trump was not happy with the amount in the relief checks. He wants a bill with $2,000 payments and has threatened a veto. Yes, I like the veto threat, but it’s probably a symbolic gesture. Trump could whip out the pen, but these current spending and relief bills passed with veto-proof majorities. Should this happen, it will be overridden. I don’t know. I’m not a big fan of harping on moral or symbolic victories. Yet, in his video address regarding these bills, Trump brought the 2020 election into focus, warning that the next administration will have to handle COVID relief, and that administration might be him.

Trump Demands Congress Add $2000 Direct Payments To COVID Bill

By Breitbart. President Donald Trump demanded Tuesday that Congress amend the coronavirus rescue package and government funding bill before sending it to his desk. . .

Trump criticized the bill for extending direct coronavirus relief payments to family members of illegal aliens, getting up to $1,800 each. . .

The president did not say he would veto the bill but demanded that Congress amend it before sending it to his desk.

“I am asking Congress to amend this bill and increase the ridiculously low $600 to $2000, or $4000 for a couple,” he said.

White House Doctor To Retire After Embarrassing Travel Scandal (VIDEO)

White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator Dr. Deborah Birx announced Tuesday she plans to retire after it was revealed Sunday she defied her own COVID travel guidelines over Thanksgiving.

Like numerous government officials, Birx insisted that American families not travel and limit Thanksgiving celebrations to “your immediate household.” However, the day after Thanksgiving, she was caught traveling with multigenerational family members out of state to one of her vacation properties on Fenwick Island in Delaware. Birx told the Associated Press everyone on the Delaware trip was part of her “immediate household,” even though those involved live in two different houses.

Birx had been seeking a position in a potential Biden administration but, after receiving harsh criticism from the American people and her colleagues, she decided to resign instead, saying the experience has been “overwhelming” for her family over the last couple of days. . .

In an interview with Newsy, Birx said she wants to help the Biden administration transition into office but she then plans to retire. “I want the Biden administration to be successful,” Birx said. “I will be helpful in any role that people think I can be helpful in and then I will retire.”

Brazilian President Fears a Horrible Side Effect From COVID Vaccine… It’s Not What You Think

. . .In the film, “I Am Legend,” scientists re-engineered the measles vaccine to cure cancer. It instead wipes out most of humanity. Most of those who didn’t die in the aftermath mutated into vampire-like albino creatures. The rest, a small sliver, to say the least, were immune but consumed by the vampires. Will Smith, who plays Dr. Robert Neville, explains it better in the movie. That’s what Brazil’s president thinks will happen with the COVID vaccine…sort of.

President Jair Bolsonaro thinks the shot could turn people into alligators (editor’s note: he was joking, see below). Now, from the transcript, he sounds like he’s just trying to give an example of a side effect before hitting on his main point, which is that Pfizer could have legal immunity if anything goes terribly wrong from some people who take it. (via NY Post):

Brazil’s president Jair Bolsonaro shocked even his staunchest supporters this week with an expletive-filled tirade against the COVID-19 vaccine, despite 7.1 million cases of the virus in the country and over 185,000 deaths.

“I’m not going to get [the vaccine]. Some say I’m setting a bad example. Hey a–hole, oh idiot, what are you saying about the bad example, I already had the virus, I already have antibodies. Why should I get the vaccine again?” Bolsonaro said in a speech captured by the news service UOL to a crowd in Porto Seguro. Bolsonaro contracted COVID-19 earlier this year. . .

“And another thing that has to be made very clear,” Bolsonaro charged. “There in the Pfizer contract, it is very clear that we (Pfizer) are not responsible for any side effect. If you become an alligator, it is your problem. … And what is worse, tampering with people’s immune systems.”

WATCH: Nurse Faints While Talking To Press About Getting COVID-19 Vaccine

This is the scary a moment a nurse who had just received the coronavirus vaccine at a Tennessee hospital told reporters she was feeling dizzy and then fainted.

Nurse manager Tiffany Dover received the Pfizer-BioNTech jab at CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga on Thursday and was giving a press briefing when she began to trail off, according to WTVC-9.

“All of my staff, you know, we are excited to get the vaccine. We are in the COVID unit, so therefore, you know, my team will be getting first chances to get the vaccine,” Dover said.

“And I know that it’s really … Sorry, I’m feeling really dizzy,” she continued.

Half a Million Americans Have Received COVID Vaccine

More than 550,000 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered in the United States with more to come, just as Congress approves another round of aid.

The U.S. government began its massive vaccination rollout last week, starting with administering the first doses of the Pfizer vaccine to front-line healthcare workers. So far, at least 556,208 doses have been administered, a number that is expected to balloon as more doses of the Pfizer vaccine and first doses of the Moderna vaccine are administered to healthcare providers and long-term care facilities.

The first 5.9 million doses of the Moderna vaccine shipped out over the weekend and arrived at some hospitals Monday morning, in addition to another 2 million doses of the Pfizer vaccine. Moderna said it will be able to deliver 20 million doses of the vaccine by the end of December and another 80 million in the first few months of 2021.

President-elect Joe Biden and incoming first lady Jill Biden were given the first of two doses of the Pfizer vaccine in Wilmington, Delaware, Monday in part as a way to help increase confidence in the shot. (Read more from “Half a Million Americans Have Received COVID Vaccine” HERE)

Doctors Put Us Under ‘Do Not Resuscitate’ Orders Without Our Permission During Pandemic

Jon Marsh was helping his elderly mother recover from a bout of ill health when he found the document that made his stomach turn.

Hospital records showed that pensioner Diana Marsh had been placed under a Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) order in hospital without her family being informed.

This meant that medics would not attempt CPR to save her life if the 85-year-old stopped breathing or her heart failed. . .

She is now recovering but her son is worried the DNR order is still in place despite his demand that it be torn up.

State Senator Dies From COVID-19 Complications

A Minnesota state senator who recently contracted COVID-19 died Friday of complications from the disease.

First-term Republican Sen. Jerry Relph tested positive for the virus after having close contact with an infected colleague, the Star Tribune reported. . .

Report: Washington Is Inflating COVID Death Tolls, Even After Getting Caught Once Before

A new report discovered Washington state’s Department of Health (DOH) is inflating its COVID-19 death totals “by potentially hundreds of deaths,” despite being reprimanded over the summer for similar errors.

Analyzing more than 2000 death certificates from as early as September, investigators at Freedom Foundation found that 170 so-called COVID deaths listed no reference to the virus, while another 171 death certificates simply listed COVID-19 as a “possible contributing factor,” but not a direct cause of death.

These results follow a Freedom Foundation report from May which noted that the state was overreporting COVID-19 cases by up to 13 percent by counting anyone who “tests positive for COVID-19 and subsequently dies” as a coronavirus death.

While the DOH and Gov. Jay Inslee originally denied the allegations, calling them “disgusting” and “malarkey,” the DOH “announced it would remove some deaths from its tally and start providing more detailed information about deaths attributed to COVID-19.” The overreporting, however, continued despite promises of change. Congress Reaches COVID-19 Relief Deal

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced on Sunday that a deal for “COVID-19 relief” valued at “nearly $900 billion” of federal government spending had been reached by congressional leadership.

McConnell’s remarks on the Senate floor regarding a “major rescue package” “with targeted policies to help struggling Americans” did not include any mention of lockdowns of shutdowns — ostensibly for public health purposes — of businesses or other operations.

McConnell said the spending bill would “provide huge sums for the logistics” of distributing vaccines for the coronavirus.

“Speaking of vaccines, we can’t nullify the success of Operation Warp Speed by falling asleep at the switch on distribution,” McConnel stated. “So this agreement will provide huge sums for the logistics that will get these life-saving shots to our citizens as fast as possible.”

McConnell and his staff tweeted:
