Poll: Only 36% Of Democrats Are Proud To Be American

A Gallup poll revealed Monday that only 36 percent of Democrats say they are proud to be an American, down from 87 percent in 2001. Meanwhile, at least 84 percent of Republicans have identified themselves as proud Americans throughout the last 24 years.

According to the poll conducted in early June, 87 percent of Democrats in 2001 identified as “extremely” or “very” proud to be American, compared to 36 percent in 2025. Meanwhile, 92 percent of Republican respondents said they were proud to be American, an increase from 90 percent in 2001.

A respondent is identified as a “proud” American if they report being either “extremely” or “very” proud to be American, as opposed to “moderately,” “only a little,” or “not at all.” “Proud” answers were the norm for Americans before the most recent decade and remained consistently high across the political spectrum from 2005-2015, ranging from 81 percent to 85 percent. However, the first significant nosedive was seen in 2017, when only 75 percent of respondents said they were proud as opposed to 81 percent the previous year. Enthusiasm has continued to fall since then. In 2025, American pride among respondents sits at a record low of 58 percent. Most of the variation is found in the answers of Democrats and Independents.

Democrat respondents’ pride appeared to be more affected by which party held the White House, a factor which may play a role in the recent plunge. The first and second Trump administrations coincide with both major dips in Democrat patriotism. In response to these statistics, Brad Smith, law professor at Capital University Law School, suggested in a post on X that Democrats’ pride hinges more in their success as a party than consistent loyalty to the nation as a whole. Dems’ Main Fundraising Committee So Cash-Strapped It’s Considering Borrowing Money

Democrats’ main fundraising committee is losing big donors and so cash-strapped that its officials have discussed borrowing money just to keep the lights on, with one source spilling to The Post that if things don’t turn around before the 2026 midterms, the party is “f–ked.”

“We are six months in and we’re drowning,” a source close to the Democratic National Committee told The Post about the current rate of contributions. “The RNC was so cash-heavy and hitting us day after day after day when Biden was president.”

“We have no clear path or plan,” they added. “The midterms are going to come before we know it, and then we’re going to be really f–ked.”

The DNC’s struggle to message against the Trump administration and rather public leadership infighting — including the recent departure of former DNC vice chair David Hogg — has also led some of its largest donors to taper off their contributions, the New York Times first reported.

This has dovetailed with high-profile donor defections, such as Pershing Square Capital Management CEO Bill Ackman, Jacob Helberg, and prominent former Democrats backing President Trump in the 2024 cycle.

In response to the reported cash-borrowing discussions, DNC Chair Ken Martin told the Times, “That’s certainly not our plan right now,” adding, “I don’t know if we’ll have to at this point.” (Read more from “Dems’ Main Fundraising Committee So Cash-Strapped It’s Considering Borrowing Money” HERE)

Dem Senator Ditches Wife for CEO of Democrat Media Operation

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) has become more vocal, exposing voters to his insufferable tendencies. Elitism thy name is Murphy. The guy is a left-wing blowhard who doesn’t do much but whine. If it’s not that, it’s leading attacks against the Second Amendment. You don’t need to do much to be elected from Connecticut as a Democrat. Yet, Mr. Murphy might be another example of the Democrat-media complex at work literally.

He recently left his wife and shacked up with the CEO of a pro-Democrat news operation. Both parties declined to comment for Semafor:

One of the Democratic Party’s most notable digital media leaders is dating one of the party’s most media-friendly lawmakers, according to a Washington Democrat and a pointed Instagram post.

Tara McGowan, the CEO of the network of digital media sites known as Courier Newsroom, has been linked to Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy, who recently separated from his wife. McGowan posted a selfie of the duo last week on her private Instagram, captioned “not postponing joy,” which was shared with Semafor.

In recent months, Murphy has become one of the most visible Democratic lawmakers, speaking out against President Donald Trump and Elon Musk in television and digital media interviews and posting his own vertical videos across social media — taking a page out of a media playbook that McGowan and other Democratic digital strategists have pushed since Trump’s victory in November.

Study: Congressional Democrats’ Stock Portfolios Spiked 31 Percent in 2024, Far Outpacing S&P 500

Congressional Democrats appeared to greatly enhance their wealth in 2024, despite only earning a yearly salary of $174,000.

Democrat stock portfolios in 2024 far outpaced the S&P 500, a study by Unusual Whales found Tuesday, spiking on average 31 percent, seven points higher than the S&P 500 (24 percent) and five points higher than Republican colleagues (26 percent).

Unusual Whales estimated each member’s stock portfolio performance by calculating the value of each stock from the beginning of 2024 to the end of 2024.

The biggest Democrat offender was Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), whose portfolio spiked 142 percent, the report found:

Wasserman Schultz sits on the Environment, Manufacturing, and Critical Minerals Sub Committee and bought shares in Hecla Mining Company ($HL), which peaked at +45 percent.

The congresswoman, who also sits on the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction, also bought shares in Viasat ($VSAT), a military company. Viasat stock price rose 41 percent since her purchase.

Another ‘Prominent’ Never Trumper Accused of Soliciting Sex From Underage Boy

What is it with Never Trumpers and underage boys? Because here we go again…

“The Alachua County [Florida] Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) continues to investigate the case of Archer resident and Newberry education activist Joel Searby after a judge denied him bond in a pretrial hearing on Tuesday,” reported local news.

“Searby was arrested [June 20] for [alleged] lewd and lascivious behavior, obscene communication to lure a minor, and obscene communication to travel to meet and lure a minor,” the report continues, adding: “The arrest report recounts Snapchat conversations between Searby and a 15-year-old boy in which Searby solicited the victim for photos and sexual acts.”

The breakdown of Searby’s alleged messages to lure and abuse this kid are beyond the beyond. Police say Searby, who intends to plead not guilty, knew the boy was only 15. . .

Remember back in 2016 when a bunch of fake Republicans tried to get Hillary Clinton elected by running former CIA operative Evan McMullin as an independent presidential candidate? Not to get too far off-topic here, but let me tell you something: There is nothing more neocon than running a CIA operative for president. Democrats Save Johnson: 163 Votes to Continue Johnson’s Coalition Government

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) officially owes his gavel to Democrats.

An overwhelming 163 Democrats chose to continue Mike Johnson’s coalition government with the essential co-Speaker Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), voting to table a motion from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) to strip Johnson of his gavel.

The historic 359 to 43 vote likely cements Johnson’s speakership – for now.

The final tally included seven Democrats voting present and eleven not voting, along with ten Republicans who did not vote.

Ultimately, only 32 Democrats proved unhappy enough with Johnson’s stewardship of the House to vote to enable Greene’s gavel-stripping resolution to move forward. (Read more from “Democrats Save Johnson: 163 Votes to Continue Johnson’s Coalition Government” HERE)

Dems Dealt Yet Another Blow as Congressman Jumps Ship, the Third to Switch to GOP in a Month

Democrats were dealt another blow from within their own ranks this week as yet another state lawmaker declared he was leaving the party.

According to a Monday report by The Advocate, a Louisiana-based newspaper, state Rep. Jeremy LaCombe announced he had left the Democratic Party and would be registering as a Republican.

It was not immediately clear what prompted LaCombe’s departure, however he is now the second Louisiana Democrat in less than a month to switch party affiliations, and the third nationwide after another state lawmaker in North Carolina did the same.

Last month, Louisiana state Rep. Francis Thompson gave Republicans in the state House a supermajority after he switched his party affiliation, and earlier this month, North Carolina state Rep. Tricia Cotham gave Republicans in the state House a supermajority with her switch as well. If Republicans Win, They Will Burn Your Home, Steal Your Possessions, Take Your Lives, and Laugh When They Enslave Your Children

. . .I’m sure, by now, you’ve heard that the end is near-ish. About a week away. Sure, there were rumblings it was coming when we passed net neutrality. Those who survived were subjected to the fiery lake of burning sulfur known as the Trump tax cuts, which Nancy Pelosi had presciently noted was “armageddon.” “People will die if Trumpcare becomes law,” she warned. Then came the overturning of Roe v. Wade — a decision that “released the whirlwind.” And, now, here we are at the midterms of 2022, the most momentous election not only in your life but perhaps in the history of mankind.

Last night, the President of the United States, a man whose pathological lying has been ratcheted up to surreal levels lately, gave one of the most transparently toxic partisan speeches in memory. Biden, quite paradoxically, warned that American “democracy” could only survive if the nation functioned under one-party rule. Despite historic early turnouts, the president lied about widespread attacks on voting rights, preemptively engaging in the kind of election denialism he contends is “un-American.” Biden has probably forgotten that virtually every major Democrat was an “election denialist” not only in 2016 but in 2000, as well. . .

No one is innocent, of course, but there is a popular myth that maintains the left generally engages in prudent, thoughtful, scientific, non-inflammatory rhetoric, while the right does little more than incite violence and luxuriate in its “sadism.” The “cruelty is the point” is the kind of vacuous phrase that brainless partisans living in hermetically sealed bubbles think is smart.

The media will be out scouring the land to find some nuts who are mocking the Pelosi attack to prove that one side is hankering for violence while largely glossing over the outlandish rhetoric regularly spouted on our biggest platforms. Most Democratic voters surely don’t see the world in these Manichean terms. The “election-denying” left-wing punditry class and media, however, who spy Hitler lurking behind every milquetoast Republican governor, have no problem smearing all those with a slightly different worldview as fascists. In this world, there is no policy debate; there is only alarmism and crass projection from those who desire a one-party state. Democrats: The Only Way to Save Democracy Is One-Party Rule

At this point, it would save everyone time if Democrats could simply point to a policy agenda item that isn’t going to save democracy — if such a thing exists.

If Republicans vote, they are killing democracy. If they don’t vote, they are killing democracy. The only way to “save democracy,” writes The Washington Post’s Max Boot, is to empower one-party rule — a position that probably sounds counterintuitive to anyone with a middle-school education. “Now you need to vote to literally save democracy again,” contends President Joe Biden, or we will lose our “fundamental rights and freedoms like the right to choose, the right to privacy, the right to vote — our very democracy.”

Chilling stuff. But it doesn’t end there. You will remember that by failing to “reform” the filibuster, which would entail authorizing the thinnest of fleeting majorities to shove through massive generational “reforms” without any national consensus or debate, we are also killing democracy. This has been the position not only of left-wing pundits and the New York Times editorial board, but also senators tasked with defending their institution. I wonder if they will support this democracy-saving fix next session, as well?

Then again, if we don’t nationalize the economy to avert a climate crisis, we are also killing democracy. “We’ve got to save democracy in order to save our species,” Jamie Raskin explains. And if we don’t empty the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to temporarily keep gas prices low to help Democrats win in 2022, we are killing democracy. “We find ourselves in a situation, where keeping gas prices low is key to preserving and strengthening the future of our democracy,” MSNBC’s Chris Hayes says.

We must allow the president to unilaterally create trillion-dollar spending bills and break existing private sector contracts by fiat. For democracy. We must pack the court to “save democracy.” We must create a Ministry of Truth to help with “strengthening democratic institutions.” We must vote for a Pennsylvania candidate who can’t cobble two consecutive coherent sentences together because the “fate of our democracy” is at stake, says our former president. Democrat ‘Dark Money’ Network Exposed

Democrats have complained about so-called “dark money” for a decade, but they benefited from $1.5 billion in “dark money” spending in the 2020 election, compared to $900 million for Republicans, according to a recent New York Times analysis.

“Dark money” is money spent by groups outside campaigns and political parties that do not have to disclose their donors — either because they are organized as “social welfare” organizations under section 501(c)4 of the federal tax code, or as 501(c)3 charities receiving contributions from donor-advised funds that allow many donors to remain anonymous.

Democrats have claimed for years that Republicans are the primary beneficiaries of “dark money,” ever since the Supreme Court decided in the Citizens United case in 2011 that the Federal Elections Commission could not censor an anti-Hillary Clinton film before an election because people organized as corporations, no less than individuals, have free speech rights.

Clinton and almost every Democrat since has run on a pledge to revise the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution to limit the ability of corporations to spend on elections. Meanwhile, however, they have built a dominant “dark money” machine. (Read more from “Democrat ‘Dark Money’ Network Exposed” HERE)
