Democrats Want to Pull Back Penalties for Drive-by Shootings (VIDEO)

Washington state Democrats are seeking to pull back penalties for drive-by shootings in the state in the name of “promoting racial equity in the criminal legal system.”

Washington state Reps. Tarra Simmons and David Hackney introduced H.B. 1692 this month in an effort to keep charges related to drive-by shootings from escalating to an aggravated first-degree murder charge. The lawmakers, according to Fox News, are seeking to remove a 1995 provision that classifies murders “committed during the course of or as a result of a shooting where the discharge of the firearm … is either from a motor vehicle or from the immediate area of a motor vehicle that was used to transport the shooter or the firearm” as aggravated.

Simmons told Fox she believes “it’s clear that [the original law] was targeted at gangs that were predominantly young and Black” even though historical reports suggest that at the time of the law, “the state was experiencing a surge in gang-related crime.”

“Murder is murder no matter where the bullet comes from but locking young people up and throwing away the key is not the answer,” Simmons said, suggesting that the original provision is an example of “systemic racism.” (Read more from “Democrats Want to Pull Back Penalties for Drive-by Shootings” HERE)

Is Voting Democrat an Evil Act in God’s Eyes?

Is voting Democrat an evil act in God’s eyes? That question rose from a recent Sunday-school lesson on 1 Kings 21, where King Ahab wanted Naboth’s vineyard, but Naboth would not sell. Then without the king’s participation, Queen Jezebel arranged a plot to kill Naboth. Then she took possession of his vineyard and gave it to the king who willingly accepted it. Though the murder and the initial taking of the land were done by the queen, God held Ahab as responsible as Jezebel for both.

The question raised is a most serious question, especially for those who seek to follow Jesus. Before getting into that, consider what this narrative teaches about the nature of God and His views toward humanity, both as individuals and as civilizations.

The God of the Bible is a God of justice. God values people as individuals, not simply as a collective. Godly order includes individual property ownership and even a king has no right to someone else’s property. While a person’s property includes material property, it also clearly includes earnings, creations, designs and even our conscience that guides how we live. Taking a human life is not only an act against the person, but it is an act against God, the creator and redeemer of all human life.

Like so often with teaching on Biblical narratives that relate to government, this lesson missed important applications for citizens in a nation where citizens are part of the government.

Nations are set up by God and are under God; America is no exception. American governing authority is derived from the people, not from a king. As such, those we elect are agents we empower to carry out the governing tasks.

As seen with Ahab, God does not give a pass for government to commit evil acts. Neither does He to those who empower government bad-actors. Yet every election, politicians who advocate for policies that embrace what God calls evil are elected to public offices by the votes, or lack of voting, of millions of Americans who claim to be God-followers.

The cost of this neglect is incomprehensible as adult Americans have thrown aside self-governance and sought self-indulgence. Among other evils, over 60 million defenseless pre-born Americans have been legally murdered while future generations have been shackled with staggering debt. Seduced by promises that government will make life easier, tens-of-millions of Americans willingly vote thieves and murderers into public offices throughout our nation.

How can we be surprised when so often it feels like a choice between evils? The road to better options requires that we study our candidate options, including the political party that winning will empower. A party is simply a vehicle; who controls the vehicle and where they a driving it is of utmost importance.

While human-rule will never deliver utopia, and candidates that embrace evil ideas can be found in any political party, it is the ideas presented in and through party platforms, conventions, and top candidates that make clear the acts that our vote will empower.

Today’s Democratic Party completely rejects Biblical teaching on morality and human nature – that man’s fallen nature cannot handle great power. Rather, it embraces pagan ideas, including the state being supreme. As such they work to shift power (responsibility and control) away from the smaller governing spheres of individual, family, church, community, etc. to higher and higher governing levels, including unaccountable international bodies.

The Democratic Party platforms and actions present an agenda that includes:

Abortion with no limits.

Doctor-assisted suicide for those deemed as not worthy of normal legal protections.

Rejecting of God’s design of marriage and creation of male and female, thus exploiting and
indeed creating sexual and gender confusion.

Destructive life-altering hormone and surgical procedures in children of all ages.

Creating destabilizing unrest and divisions among Americans, with current efforts dividing by
wealth, skin color, gender and sexuality.

Disenfranchising legal voters through weakening voting laws

Greater state control of individual healthcare decisions.

Suppressing the Christian-informed conscience.

Producing godless citizens through public schools where children are essentially drafted into the front lines of their war against God.

So while there are politicians of every party that we must stand against, how can voting to empower such evil not put one in a place very much like Ahab? It would be a grave mistake to pretend that the God who called Ahab to account for the evil he empowered would overlook evil we empower with our votes and other support.

Ahab repented and God relented. Indeed, God is a God of mercy, but God’s mercy was a response to Ahab’s repentant heart. While Jesus did not condemn the woman caught in adultery, he did say: “go and sin no more.” A pathway for a new beginning is both unique and core to Christianity. Only those who do not have faith in the work of Jesus to completely cover their past are trapped in their past.

While some may claim that this column advocates for a theocracy, a theocracy goes much further than using a religious book as a guide for morality and good governing practices. A theocracy dictates religious beliefs and practices. The fact is it is the Democratic Party that is all too eager to force and coerce its pagan beliefs and practices on the entire population.

PATHETIC: Dems Who Fled Texas Now Begging For ‘Care Packages’ Like They’re Deployed Troops

The group of Democratic Texas legislators who fled the state for Washington, D.C., to block Republicans from proceeding on an election integrity bill is now requesting “care packages.”

“Our Dems in DC said they’d appreciate care packages from home. Before 5pm Tues, we’re collecting Dr. Pepper, salsa, hard candy, hairspray, travel toiletries, hand sanitizers, sewing kits, first aid, and/ or $ to pay shipping. TY!” the account for the Dallas County Democratic Party tweeted.

Conservative commentator and author Dinesh D’Souza mocked the requests for snacks and toiletries. However, Dallas Democrats fired back, calling D’Souza a “Republican airhead” who doesn’t want “Black Texans voting after church.”

The group of more than 50 legislators fled to foil Republicans from moving forward on an election security bill during a special legislative session. A quorum of two-thirds of lawmakers must be present in order to conduct business in the legislature, according to state law. Every Senate Democrat Voted Against Amendment to Prohibit Federal Funds for Colleges That Discriminate Against Asians

Senate Democrats voted against an amendment Thursday to prohibit federal funds for colleges that discriminate against Asian Americans.

Amendment SA 1456 was proposed by Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz as an addition to the “COVID-19 Hate Crimes Act,” proposed by Democratic Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono. Hirono’s bill seeks to “designate [an] officer or employee of the Department of Justice (DOJ) to facilitate the expedited review of COVID-19 hate crimes and reports of COVID-19 hate crimes.”

Cruz’s amendment sought to prohibit federal funds for higher education institutions that discriminate against Asian Americans. The amendment states that no school may receive federal funding if the institution has “a policy in place or engages in a practice that discriminates against Asian Americans in recruitment, applicant review, or admissions,” according to the amendment text.

Every Senate Democrat voted against Cruz’s amendment, which failed to pass at a vote of 49-48.

Study: Murders SKYROCKETING In Democrat-Run Cities

In 12 American cities run by Democrats, the murder rate is skyrocketing, according to a study by the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund (LELDF).

Nationally, the murder rate has hit a 26-year high.

The LELDF study sees a direct correlation between the Democrat party’s anti-police rhetoric and how Democrat-run cities have turned that rhetoric into action through police budget cuts, mandates that reduce policing efforts such as stops and arrests, a lack of criminal prosecution by far-left prosecutors, and the morale issues that have resulted in a massive number of retirements.

In 2020, across the nation, homicides jumped a whopping 25 percent, which took us all the way back to the bad old days of 1995, the year before a violent crime and murder spree that launched in the 1970s finally started to come to an end.

“This data confirms that in places where law enforcement saw the most resistance from community leaders and calls for less policing, we saw more homicides,” LELDF President Jason Johnson told the Washington Examiner. (Read more from “Study: Murders SKYROCKETING In Democrat-Run Cities” HERE)

Now Democrats Going to War Against Democrats

As expected during the run-up to the 2020 election, a battle is brewing over the filibuster, the longtime Senate rule requiring 60 votes to move forward on legislation.

With a one-vote majority because of Vice President Kamala Harris’ tiebreaker, there’s a renewed demand from Democrats to blow up the filibuster to move partisan legislation such as the Equality Act and the For the People Act.

President Biden, when he was a senator, affirmed the rule. Now in the Oval Office, he’s changed his mind.

The Democrats’ biggest hurdle is moderate Democrats Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona, who want to maintain it.

Democrats Push Slavery Reparations Bill Despite Strong Public Opposition and High Price Tag

A slavery reparations proposal, which faces overwhelming public opposition and could cost more than $12 trillion, is picking up support in the Democratic-majority House.

Texas Democratic Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee on Wednesday held a House Judiciary subcommittee hearing about H.R. 40, “The “Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans Act.”

The reparations commission would study the history of slavery, the role that federal and state governments played in supporting slavery, and racial discrimination against the descendants of enslaved Africans. The commission would make recommendations regarding “any form of apology” or compensation.

The proposal doesn’t include a price tag, but most estimates suggest it would be well into the trillions of dollars. A 2020 study by William Darity, a professor of public policy at Duke University, and his wife, Kirsten Mullen, “From Here to Equality: Reparations for Black Americans in the Twenty-First Century,” noted it would cost between $10 trillion and $12 trillion.

The legislation last came into focus in 2019 when Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced her support for reparations. Since then, the bill picked up support from over 170 members of Congress, including every single Democratic presidential primary candidate who attended the 2019 National Action Network conference, hosted by Al Sharpton. Lifelong Democrat Vernon Jones Issues Powerful Warning for Republicans

“Lifelong Democrat” and Georgia state Rep. Vernon Jones says it’s crucial that Republicans win Georgia’s two Senate seats if we want America as we know it to continue.

“If the Senate goes, this country goes,” he told Glenn Beck on the radio program Wednesday.

Jones explained why he believes Georgia is the last line in the fight for freedom and issued an urgent warning to Republicans about the importance of maintaining a balance of power in Washington, D.C.

“I believe with all my might that we understand, here in Georgia, that we have to do what’s best for this country,” he said. “And I’m surprised that Republicans, the Republican leadership throughout Georgia, hasn’t stood up taller and stronger in an effort to make sure that we … help Senator Perdue (R) and Senator Loeffler (R) get re-elected, so there will be a balance of power in Washington, D.C. Are You Ready for ‘The Squad 2.0?’

If you loved the original “Squad” in Congress, consisting of AOC, Ayanna Pressley, and Ilhan Omar (as I’m sure you all did), you’re probably going to be really excited about the next “Squad” heading to the hill. Following the recent elections, we learned that a few more radically far-left candidates had won themselves a two year stay in Washington on the taxpayer’s dime. As Jack Beyrer of the Free Beacon reports, one of these is a figure we’ve discussed here in the past. Her name is Cori Bush, a Democrat from Missouri, and she welcomed her two new teammates on Twitter once their victories were confirmed.

After a series of electoral wins for far-left candidates Tuesday night, a “Squad 2.0” prepares to join Congress. . .

Justice Democrats, a PAC that backs far-left Democratic candidates, endorsed both Bush and Bowman during their congressional bids. The group also endorsed the entire incumbent “squad,” which includes Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D., N.Y.), Ayanna Pressley (D., Mass.), Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.), and Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.).

. . .While many of the rank and file Democrats and socialists in Congress are willing to defund the police, Bush has put out the call to defund the Pentagon, disarming our nation in the face of numerous adversaries and global threats. She’s also a big fan of the Green New Deal, universal basic income, and abolishing ICE.

Jamaal Bowman, soon to take his seat for NY-16, is also a big fan of defunding the police. In his spare time, he enjoys supporting a number of antisemitic causes that oppose Israel. Mondaire Jones, who will represent the nearby NY-17 district, also wants to see the police be defunded, but as a bonus, he supports the Empty the Jails movement in New York City. That cause has made a lot of progress in the past year, blessing the Big Apple with crime rates that are currently threatening to eclipse the horror show Gotham was witnessing a couple of decades ago.
