Trump to ‘COVID Tyrants’: ‘We Will Not Comply’

Former President Donald Trump in a campaign video Wednesday made a defiant reply to “left-wing lunatics” and “COVID tyrants” who are “trying very hard to bring back COVID lockdowns and mandates with their sudden fear-mongering about variants”: “We will not comply.”

Trump mocked the timing of the resurgent COVID hysteria, saying, “Gee-whiz, you know what else is coming? An election.”

“They want to restart the COVID hysteria so they can justify more lockdowns, more censorship, more illegal drop boxes, more mail-in ballots, and trillions of dollars in payoffs to their political allies heading into the 2024 election. Does that sound familiar?” he said in the statement, which is posted on the “Team Trump” X account with the words: “COVID Tyrants want to take away our Freedom. Hear my words – WE WILL NOT COMPLY.” (Team Trump is the official X account for the Trump campaign.)

. . .”But to every COVID tyrant who wants to take away our freedom, hear these words: we will not comply,” he said. “So don’t even think about it. We will not shut down our schools. We will not accept your lockdowns. We will not abide by your mask mandates, and we will not tolerate your vaccine mandates.”

“They rigged the 2020 election and now they’re trying to do the same thing all over again by rigging the most important election in the history of our country – the 2024 election – even if it means trying to bring back COVID,” he said. Donald Trump Says Democrats Will Impeach Joe Biden

By Washington Examiner. Former President Donald Trump said that he believes Democrats in Congress will face pressure to vote in favor of impeaching President Joe Biden.

In an interview with John Solomon on RealAmericasVoice, Trump urged Congress to impeach Biden, calling him the “most corrupt president in history.” While expressing faith that Republicans would vote in favor due to pressure from their base, the former president went a step further and claimed that Democrats in Congress would face similar pressure.

“The bottom line is, if this cash is true, if all these things are true, you know, the statement is true about the billion dollars because he’s got that,” Trump said, referring to the case against Biden on corruption grounds.

“I actually think there’d be pressure on Democrats to vote for it because I don’t know how you … run as a Democrat when you see such unbelievable corruption, and then you say, ‘we’re gonna vote … that Joe Biden is innocent,'” Trump said. White House Warns GOP Biden Impeachment Will Backfire

By The Hill. The White House is warning House Republicans that a potential impeachment inquiry into President Biden will only backfire on an already fractured conference.

The possibility of an impeachment inquiry appears to be growing, with Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) giving signals recently that one could be launched as soon as September.

Republicans have hammered the White House over allegations of corruption in the form of the business and lobbying work of Hunter Biden, the president’s son, arguing the younger Biden used his ties to power to win business in Ukraine.

Conservative media is also shouldering into the Biden-corruption narrative, particularly in the context of former President Trump’s two federal indictments being brought by Biden’s Justice Department, with a number of Republicans and GOP voters itching to take a fight to Biden over what they claim are politically motivated investigations of his predecessor.

But through it all, the White House remains steadfastly confident that if the GOP goes forward with an inquiry, one that would center on the Biden family’s finances, it will hurt Republicans more than it could hurt Biden. WATCH: Tucker Carlson Believes Trump’s Opponents Might Assassinate Him

By Daily Caller. Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson warned that opponents of former President Donald Trump could be “speeding towards assassination” during a Wednesday podcast interview.

Trump turned himself in at the Fulton County Jail to be booked on Aug. 24 after a grand jury handed down indictments on Aug. 14 charging Trump and other associates with racketeering in relation to his efforts to contest the results of the 2020 election in the state. Carlson, a co-founder of the Daily Caller News Foundation, said that the indictments were not diminishing Trump’s support and alleged that Trump’s opponents would resort to something more drastic.

“If you begin with criticism, then you go to protest, then you go to impeachment, now you go to indictment and none of them work, what’s next? I mean, you know, graph it out, man,” Carlson told podcaster Adam Carolla. “We’re speeding toward assassination, obviously, and no one will say that, but I don’t know how you can’t reach that conclusion. They have decided, permanent Washington, both parties, have decided that there’s something about Trump that’s so threatening to them that they just can’t have him.”

Trump is also facing two federal indictments from Special Counsel Jack Smith relating to efforts to contest the 2020 election and allegations surrounding the unauthorized retention of classified documents. He also faces a trial over an indictment secured by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg in a case centered around a $130,000 payout to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016. Tucker Carlson: Corrupt Intel Agencies and the D.C. Uniparty Are Ushering in the Real ‘End of Democracy’

By The Federalist. Tucker Carlson admitted on Wednesday that he’s “never been this worried about anything” as much as he is about where the country is headed under a deep state that repeatedly targets its political enemies and “rigs” elections instead of acting on voters’ desires.

Carlson made his anxieties about the state of our constitutional republic known in an interview with Adam Carolla, who asked the former Fox News host to weigh in on the coordinated effort by intelligence agencies and political elites to keep former President Donald Trump from taking back the White House.

To kick off the question, Carolla showed Carlson a clip of now-Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer telling MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow in January 2017 that it was “dumb” for Trump to “take on the intelligence community” because “they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.”

“From what I am told, they are very upset with how he has treated them and talked about them. And we need the intelligence community,” Schumer said. . .

Poll: Donald Trump Leads Joe Biden Post-Mugshot

Former President Donald Trump leads President Joe Biden in a national head-to-head matchup post-mugshot, the latest survey from the Economist/YouGov found.

The survey, taken August 26-29 among 1,500 U.S. adult citizens, asked respondents who they would vote for if the presidential election came down to Trump and Biden.

Overall, 44 percent said they would support Trump, compared to 43 percent who said Biden and seven percent who said “other.” Three percent said they were not sure, and another three percent said they would not vote.

Notably, the survey was taken after the public release of Trump’s Fulton County mugshot, which he posted on social media sites — including X, formerly known as Twitter — on August 24.

“ELECTION INTERFERENCE. NEVER SURRENDER!” the caption under the mugshot reads.

Arizona Secretary of State Says Trump Cannot Be Kept off State Ballot

Democratic Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes claimed Wednesday that he does not have the power to keep former President Donald Trump off the ballot next year as critics argue Trump violated a constitutional amendment that would disqualify him.

Some legal scholars and critics of the former president claim Trump violated the 14th Amendment during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. The amendment bars those who’ve taken an oath to support the Constitution from holding office again if they’ve “engaged in insurrection” against the United States or “given aid or comfort” to its enemies.

Fontes referred to a state Supreme Court ruling last year that determined the disqualification clause of the Constitution can only be enforced through Congress.

“Does a 25-year-old get to be on the ballot in Arizona for president?” Fontes asked the Arizona Republic. “According to the logic of the Arizona Supreme Court, they do. That having been said, can the Arizona Supreme Court be overturned? If somebody brings a lawsuit? Well, any law can be overturned in a judicial action. ‘Call Back Trump’: Hungarian PM Viktor Orbán Praises Trump’s Foreign Policy in Interview With Tucker Carlson (VIDEO)

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán praised former President Donald Trump’s foreign policy during an exclusive interview with Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson in Budapest.

Orbán, whose country borders Ukraine, said Russia never would have provoked war under Trump’s administration because of his foreign policy being the “best form for the world” in several decades. He called on President Joe Biden and the U.S. to make peace immediately with Russia.

“Call back Trump. That’s the only way out. Call back Trump,” Orbán said. “Because you know, you can criticize him for many reasons. I understand all the discussion. But the best foreign policy of the recent several decades belonged to him. He did not initiate any new war. He treated nicely the North Koreans and Russia, even the Chinese. You know, he delivered a policy which was the best one for Middle East, Abraham Accords. So he had very good foreign policy.”

“He’s [Trump] criticized because he’s not educated enough to understand the world politics. This is not the case,” Orbán told Carlson. “Facts count and his foreign policy was the best form for the world in the last several decades I have seen. And if he would have been the president at the moment the Russian invasion started, no, it would not be possible to do that by the Russians. So Trump is the man who can save the western world and probably the human beings in the world as well.”

Legal Experts Throw Cold Water on Judges’ Attempts to Silence Trump

Former President Donald Trump may retain the ability to openly discuss the cases in which he is a defendant regardless of the restrictions judges have imposed on him, legal experts told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Trump is facing four indictments, including in Georgia and Washington, D.C., pertaining to alleged 2020 election crimes, where judges have placed restrictions on his speech regarding the cases. However, it will be difficult to enforce the ordered limitations due to Trump’s presidential candidacy, as well as his relationships with the individuals involved in the cases, legal experts told the DCNF.

“The fact that he’s a presidential candidate absolutely gives him enhanced First Amendment protections,” Article III Project founder Mike Davis told the DCNF. “This is core political speech.”

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee issued an order on August 21 prohibiting the former president from engaging in any acts of “intimidation,” whether through direct or indirect means, aimed at witnesses and other parties associated with the Georgia case, according to a court document. The order includes Trump’s social media posts and even his reposts of other people’s content. Moreover, Trump cannot communicate directly about the facts of the case with any co-defendant except through legal counsel. Additionally, U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan issued a protective order on August 11 to restrict Trump’s speech about “sensitive materials” in the Washington, D.C. indictment for his conduct related to the 2020 election. “Sensitive materials” often include witness interviews and recordings of conversations. Why Trump’s Mugshot Is a Big Win for Trump

Donald Trump’s mugshot will be the most trafficked photo in the history of planet Earth because social media is so ubiquitous.

Yesterday, he went to the Fulton County jailhouse where he was arrested and fingerprinted. They took his picture. The mugshot is now out.

It’s a win for Trump to have his mugshot taken. The Left thought it would be a win for them, but here’s the thing about Trump: Trump is a walking, living, breathing meme. He is made for TV. He is made for the Internet. He’s changed our age because of that.

It’s not as though no one knew he was arrested. It’s not as though it was a shock dawning on the American people that Donald Trump is under indictment in four separate jurisdictions. We’ve known about all of this for months.

Biden Looks to Cash In on Trump’s Booking: ‘A Great Day to Give to My Campaign’

“Apropos of nothing,” wrote Mr. Biden’s official account on X, the social-media platform previously known as Twitter. “I think today’s a great day to give to my campaign.”

The tweet, which included a link to Act Blue to “donate to the Biden-Harris campaign to fight back against MAGA Republicans” was sent at 7:30 p.m.

At that moment, cable-news networks were following Mr. Trump’s travel to and from Fulton County Jail to be processed in his fourth indictment, for trying to overturn Georgia’s 2020 presidential election result. ‘Another Dark Day’: Republicans Condemn Trump Arrest on Fulton County Charges

Republicans condemned the arrest of former President Donald Trump on charges related to his efforts to challenge the results of the 2020 election in Georgia.

Trump turned himself in at the Fulton County Jail to be booked after a grand jury indicted him Aug. 14, charging Trump and other associates, including Rudy Giuliani and attorneys Jenna Ellis, John Eastman and Sidney Powell. Trump is also facing two indictments from special counsel Jack Smith, who secured a four-count indictment of Trump relating to the 2020 election after he previously secured a 37-count indictment against Trump in June.

“Today is another dark day in U.S. history,” Republican Rep. Byron Donalds of Georgia tweeted. “A day when We The People & the world, will witness the continued weaponization of the justice system against a political opponent, former POTUS, & leading candidate for the upcoming presidential election. This is a travesty of justice.”

“91 charges is what dictators do,” former acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell posted. “Joe Biden has unleashed a blow back like never before.
