The voters cited their financial stability during Trump’s presidency, pointing to his successful economic track record during his time in office.

During the interview, conducted by MSNBC’s Trymaine Lee, two voters succinctly highlighted the primary reason for Trump’s attractiveness: “money.” The participants appreciated Trump’s reputation as a successful businessman and drew comparisons between his economic policies and achievements to those of President Biden. The voters also expressed a preference for Trump’s personality.

One participant, Thomas Murray, shared his perspective, stating, “Donald Trump, in spite of all the craziness he may have in his head, reading some of the things that he talks about with business, I can kind of agree with as far as business-wise. I’m trying to grow my business. As far as Biden, I haven’t seen Biden really care about business like that. And my concern is having my business so that I can build generational wealth, so my kids can see and have something to take upon when I’m not here.”

Another voter, Anthony Freeman, highlighted Trump’s reputation as “the money man.”

The interview shed light on concerns related to inflation and high-interest rates during Biden’s presidency. The Consumer Price Index, measuring the prices of everyday goods, reported a 3.4% annual increase in December, contributing to economic challenges. The Federal Reserve’s decision to maintain interest rates at a target range between 5.25% and 5.50% further underscored economic uncertainties.

Juston Brown, another participant, emphasized the appeal of Trump’s persona and the desire among some to emulate his lifestyle. Brown noted, “A lot of people admire the persona, and they want to be him. They want to enjoy the perks that he has. He seems to always be able to circumvent the rules.”

Kinard Givens, a younger voter in the interview, stated that many are considering or have voted for Trump based on the perception that “with Trump, we had money.”

Fani Willis Admits Relationship With Top Trump Prosecutor

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis admitted in a Friday court filing to a relationship with a lawyer she appointed to prosecute former President Donald Trump but denied the relationship interfered in the case.

Until Friday, Willis had not confirmed the affair or denied the impact of the relationship on the case.

If Willis resigns or recuses herself from the case, it could effectively end the county’s prosecution of Trump or potentially delay the proceedings until after the presidential election. Republicans have accused Willis of interfering in the presidential election.

Trump and codefendant Mike Roman have accused Willis and Nathan Wade, her top prosecutor, of corruption in the case for:

1. Maintaining an improper romantic relationship
2. Enriching themselves through the taxpayer-funded prosecution
3. Meeting with Biden administration officials before indicting Trump and codefendants

So Much for Unity: Biden Reportedly Refers to Trump as ‘Sick F**k’ in Private Remarks

In private settings, President Joe Biden has allegedly used aggressive profanity to describe former President Donald Trump, despite his campaign stance on promoting unity within the United States, according to a report by Politico on Thursday. At least three individuals claimed to have heard Biden refer to Trump as a “sick f—,” with one source also stating that Biden used the term “f—ing a**hole” in private.

The reported remarks stem from Biden’s claims that Trump supported and cheered on the events of January 6, 2021, during the Capitol riot. During a speech near Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, on January 6, 2023, Biden reportedly almost used the term publicly but stopped short, allowing the sentence to trail off amid applause and laughter from the crowd.

In that speech, Biden accused Trump and his MAGA supporters of embracing and laughing about political violence. The president characterized Trump’s actions as “sick” before trailing off. The reported private remarks echo a departure from Biden’s campaign pledge to restore civility and unity in American politics.

Despite campaigning on a promise to bring people together, Biden has been criticized for his increasingly aggressive rhetoric against Trump and his supporters. In a September 2022 speech in Philadelphia, Biden labeled them a “threat to democracy.” Biden’s comments also harken back to his behavior during the 2012 presidential campaign, where he faced backlash for suggesting that then-Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney would put black people “back in chains.”

President Trump’s Lawyer Hammers Judge in Carroll Defamation Case for Potentially Damning Conflict of Interest

President Trump’s lawyer just fired off the following letter to Judge Kaplan following an expose published in the New York Post earlier this week:

As a result of a story published in the New York Post, defense counsel learned for the first time of allegations that Your Honor, while a partner at the Paul Weiss firm, had a “mentor” type relationship with Plaintiff’s lead counsel, Roberta Kaplan.1 Most concerning, is that the article was brought to the New York Post’s attention by an unnamed partner at Paul Weiss, who was aware of the close relationship between you and Ms. Kaplan and stated that “Lew was like her mentor.” The underlying defamation case tried last year, and the damages trial completed last week, were both litigations in which there were many clashes between Your Honor and defense counsel. We believe, and will argue on appeal, that the Court was overtly hostile towards defense counsel and President Trump, and displayed preferential treatment towards Plaintiff’s counsel. Indeed, the rulings, tone, and demeanor of the bench raised significant concerns even before the New York Post’s investigative journalism unearthed these new facts.

Polymarket Predicts Trump’s Return: 94% Chance of Him Winning GOP Nomination in 2024

Polymarket, self-described as “the world’s largest prediction market,” is making waves in the political realm by assigning former President Donald Trump a staggering 94 percent chance of becoming the Republican nominee for president in 2024. As of Monday afternoon, this prediction has captured attention and fueled discussions about the evolving landscape of the upcoming election.

The snapshot of the 2024 election forecast, unveiled on Monday afternoon, underscores the overwhelming confidence Polymarket users have in Trump’s potential return to the forefront of the Republican Party. In contrast, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley only managed to secure four percent in the prediction, while three percent opted for “other.” Notably, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who have withdrawn from the GOP primary race and thrown their support behind Trump, each garnered one percent.

Interestingly, Polymarket’s prediction suggests greater confidence in Trump securing the GOP nomination than in President Joe Biden clinching the Democratic nomination. Looks Like Pretty Much Every Left-Wing Group Is Hellbent on Defending the Administrative State

Major left-wing organizations and donors have thrown their support and funding behind a coalition slamming a recent Supreme Court case that could rein in the administrative state as an anti-democratic “power grab by the MAGA supermajority.”

United for Democracy, a coalition that includes over a hundred left-wing organizations, launched earlier this year with a $1 million ad campaign warning voters that “extreme right-wing justices are exploiting their power” and urging them to back court reform. The coalition’s member organizations include a who’s who of left-wing organizations, including Planned Parenthood, March for Our Lives, the National Education Association and NARAL Pro-Choice America, among others.

At a rally outside the Supreme Court last week, the coalition opposed the lawsuit brought by small fishing companies who challenged an agency rule that forces them to shell out close to 20% of their revenue to pay for federally mandated on-board observers. Many of the member groups painted the Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo and Relentless, Inc. v. Department of Commerce cases, which challenge a decades-old legal principle instructing courts to defer to agency interpretations of laws or “Chevron deference,” as a right-wing donor-funded power grab and a “threat to democracy.”

“United for Democracy is comprised of over hundred left-wing dark money groups that are eager for unelected and unaccountable administrative agencies to continue to do their deep state bidding,” JCN President Carrie Severino told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “It’s not surprising these groups are very motivated to keep Chevron deference, which gives federal agencies significant power to advance the Left’s political agenda.”

Fani Willis’ Alleged Romantic Partner Moves to Reseal Parts of Divorce Case

Nathan Wade, special prosecutor on the racketeering case against former President Donald Trump and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ alleged romantic partner, recently moved to reseal personal and confidential information in his divorce case.

Documents in the case have been sealed since February 2022, but Cobb County Superior Court Judge Henry Thompson unsealed them after a hearing last week, agreeing that the protective order “was not properly entered.” Bank statements contained in a recent filing Wade’s wife made revealed he had purchased tickets in Willis’ name to Miami and San Francisco, offering some support for allegations brought by a Trump co-defendant that Willis benefited from the “lucrative” contract she awarded Wade when he took her on vacations and trips.

Wade’s filing dated Jan. 24 asked the case be resealed due to the “sensitive nature of the parties’ financial information and documents.” “The clear intention of the parties was to have the case sealed and any information filed in the case protected,” his attorney wrote.

The next hearing in the divorce case is scheduled for Wednesday. Wade will likely “be forced to provide more answers to questions about both his conduct and his finances,” his wife’s attorneys told Atlanta News First. Man Who Leaked Trump Tax Returns Sentenced to 5 Years in Prison

A former IRS contractor who leaked the tax returns of several wealthy and powerful individuals, including former President Donald Trump, was sentenced to five years in prison this week.

The U.S. Department of Justice announced criminal charges last September against 38-year-old Charles Edward Littlejohn, who was a contractor with the IRS from 2018 to 2020. Littlejohn pled guilty in October 2023 to unauthorized disclosure of tax returns and return information.

As a government contractor, Littlejohn “stole” Trump’s tax return information, the DOJ said on Monday, adding that he took steps to conceal his activities so he wouldn’t get caught. He also stole the tax return information of thousands of America’s wealthiest individuals, including figures like Jeff Bezos.
