Swedish Minister: Trump Threatened Trade Restrictions to Release A$AP Rocky

President Donald Trump threatened to incite a trade war with Sweden to release U.S. rapper A$AP Rocky from prison in 2019, according to the country’s justice and home affairs minister.

During an interview with a Swedish paper on Thursday, Morgan Johansson said Trump had warned the Swedish government at the time that if it did not release Rocky, then he would issue new “trade restrictions.”

Trump allegedly approached the European Commission, the executive arm of the European Union, for support as well, Johansson added. (Read more from “Swedish Minister: Trump Threatened Trade Restrictions to Release A$AP Rocky” HERE)

Poll: Trump’s Lead on Biden Increases in Hypothetical Matchup

Former President Trump’s lead on President Joe Biden increased over the last month, an Emerson College Polling survey released Friday found.

Biden’s approval rating is underwater, down 13 percent as 40 percent approve and 53 percent disapprove of his job performance. However, that reflects a two-point uptick in approval since last month.

Despite that, the survey found former President Trump increasing his lead in a hypothetical match-up against Biden. According to the survey, 44 percent choose Trump in a hypothetical 2024 presidential matchup, compared to 39 percent who said the same for Biden. Another 12 percent indicated they would vote for someone else, and five percent remain unsure.

Trump’s five-point lead reflects an increase from May’s results:

GOP Governor Says He Won’t Support Trump in 2024

[RINO] Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson said Friday he will not support former President Donald Trump if he decides to run again in 2024 due to the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.

Hutchinson said the former president’s attempt to overthrow the results of the 2020 presidential election was a “threat to our democracy” and “institutions of government.” However, he does not believe the January 6 committee has made a criminal conduct case against Trump.

“That’s not the kind of behavior we want to see in a responsible president,” he told the CBS Mornings co-hosts.

CBS News senior White House and political correspondent Ed O’Keefe asked Hutchinson to clarify if he agrees with Republican Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney that Trump is a “danger to the nation.”

“Everybody phrases it in a different way, I would not be supporting him for 2024,” he added. “He acted irresponsibly during that time. Was he a risk to the nation? Absolutely.” (Read more from “GOP Governor Says He Won’t Support Trump in 2024” HERE)

The Jan. 6 Committee Is Causing Never Trumpers to Lose Their Minds

Something is very wrong with the supposedly right-of-center media outlets and commentators treating the Jan. 6 committee like something other than the appalling Stalinesque show-trial that it is. In particular, the Washington Examiner and National Review both ran embarrassing, delusional op-eds about the hearings this week. The Examiner even ran an editorial declaring, “Trump proven unfit for power again.”

Why is Trump “unfit for power”? Because of former Trump White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony on Tuesday. It was hailed by the corporate press as “explosive” and “damning,” featured on the front pages of the New York Times and the Washington Post, and replayed ad nauseum on all the cable news shows.

Before we get to the Examiner and National Review, we need to talk about the Hutchinson testimony. Hutchinson, who was billed as a star witness for the committee, did indeed make a number of explosive claims on Tuesday. The problem is that she didn’t actually witness anything. Her hearsay claims were blown to pieces almost as soon as they appeared, in some cases because people with firsthand knowledge immediately came forward to dispute them, and in other cases because the claims themselves were ridiculous on their face.

Perhaps the most outrageous accusation from Hutchinson was that on Jan. 6 an enraged President Trump tried to grab the steering wheel of his presidential vehicle and lunged at his security detail when he was told he could not join the protesters marching from the White House to the U.S. Capitol after his rally.

Trump Accuses Ex-Aide of ‘Living in a Fantasy Land’ After Jan. 6 Testimony

Former President Donald Trump ripped into Cassidy Hutchinson, the one-time White House aide who dropped several bombshell revelations at a House hearing this week — deriding her as a “social climber,” claiming she was “living in a fantasy land” and discounting her allegation that he lunged at a Secret Service agent on Jan. 6, 2021.

The 45th president laughed off the suggestion by Hutchinson that he tried to overpower his protective detail and drive the presidential SUV to the Capitol, saying during a Thursday interview with Newsmax that “these guys lift 350 pounds, I don’t.”

“The woman is living in a fantasy land,” he said of Hutchinson, a former top aide to ex-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows.

“She’s a social climber, if you call that social,” he continued. “I think it’s just a shame that this is happening to this country, and we don’t have any Republicans up there to dispute it.”

According to Hutchinson, who testified under oath before the House select committee investigating the Capitol riot Tuesday, Trump became so incensed when Secret Service agents refused to allow him to join his supporters that he tried to grab the steering wheel of the SUV he was being driven in and lunged toward Secret Service agent Robert “Bobby” Engel. (Read more from “Trump Accuses Ex-Aide of ‘Living in a Fantasy Land’ After Jan. 6 Testimony” HERE)

Poll: Most Hispanic Voters Support Trump’s ‘Title 42’ Border Policy

A majority of Hispanic voters support former President Donald Trump’s Title 42 immigration policy that makes it easier for the federal government to deport border crossers and illegal aliens, according to an Axios-Ipsos poll released Thursday.

Axios found that 51 percent of Hispanic Americans support keeping Title 42 in place. On the other hand, just 44 percent are opposed to the policy.

“I think because it’s a COVID mitigation thing, we do see sort of higher support for it, than if it were just sort of a pure immigration concern,” Ipsos pollster and senior vice president Chris Jackson told Axios. Jackson was reportedly “surprised” that most Hispanics supported Title 42.

These poll numbers come as President Joe Biden’s administration is in a legal dispute over the pandemic-era immigration policy. After Biden announced the program would end in May, 21 states sued the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), alleging Biden unlawfully terminated the program.

A federal judge ordered Biden to keep Title 42 in place as a result of the lawsuit. (Read more from “Poll: Most Hispanic Voters Support Trump’s ‘Title 42’ Border Policy” HERE)

Jan 6 Committee Member Admits Star Witness’ Evidence Is Hearsay

The January 6 Committee unveiled its surprise star witness on Tuesday — Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide to then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows — yet committee member Rep. Jaime Raskin (D-MD) admitted that her testimony was only hearsay.

Hutchinson testified before the committee that Secret Service agent Anthony Ornato told her that on January 6, 2021, then-President Donald Trump attempted to grab the steering wheel of the presidential limo “The Beast” and commandeer the vehicle to the U.S. Capitol to join protesters upset about the 2020 presidential election results. She added that the president was rebuffed by the head of Trump’s Secret Service detail, Robert Engel, who grabbed the president’s wrist. She then claimed that Ornato told her that Trump reached for Engel’s clavicle with his free hand.

While told vividly, the story seemed to lack any hard evidence and was only a second-hand account. CNN’s Jake Tapper pressed Raskin on that point Tuesday evening and asked for any subsequent corroboration from previous testimony.

“She did not see it happen,” Tapper said to Raskin Tuesday evening. “Do you have any corroborating evidence? You have interviewed both Ornato, or the committee has interviewed both Engle and Ornato, two Secret Service agents. Do you have any corroborating evidence that that story is true or do you only have it from Cassidy Hutchinson?”

Raskin could not provide any solid proof besides implying that it sounded true. (Read more from “Jan 6 Committee Member Admits Star Witness’ Evidence Is Hearsay” HERE)

FAKE NEWS: Donald Trump Denies Allegations He Threw Food at White House Wall

Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday denied Cassidy Hutchinson’s allegations that he threw food in the White House’s dining room in response to an interview that former Attorney General Bill Barr conducted with the Associated Press.

Trump said after hearing the allegations:

I hardly know who this person, Cassidy Hutchinson, is, other than I heard very negative things about her (a total phony and “leaker”), and when she requested to go with certain others of the team to Florida after my having served a full term in office, I personally turned her request down. Why did she want to go with us if she felt we were so terrible?

“I understand that she was very upset and angry that I didn’t want her to go, or be a member of the team. She is bad news!” he said.

Hutchinson, a former aide to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows claimed at Tuesday’s January 6 committee hearing on Tuesday that Trump threw food at a wall because he was angry with Bill Barr’s reaction to election fraud allegations. Without Trump, Today’s Supreme Court Ruling Would Not Have Been Possible

In 2016, one of Donald Trump’s campaign promises was to appoint Supreme Court justices to overturn Roe v. Wade. Today, his promise became a reality. It’s the latest example of a Trump promise made and a Trump promise kept. Everyone who is against infanticide should be thankful for Donald Trump, regardless of one’s personal feelings about him. . .

Despite all his flaws, Trump was arguably, and surprisingly, the best president for the pro-life movement. He touted his pro-life stance during a presidential debate with Hillary Clinton, in which he promised to appoint pro-life justices. It was an important statement, especially given some of the Supreme Court appointees Republicans have had over the years. But Trump’s promise felt different. Consider his statements from 2016.

“Well, if we put another two or perhaps three justices on, that … will happen automatically, in my opinion, because I am putting pro-life justices on the court,” Trump proclaimed back then.

The promise to nominate Supreme Court justices who would overturn Roe had been met with suspicion by pro-life voters. More often than not, these voters were seduced with the pledges of these nominees, only to live with the reality of their failure to overturn it. But, unlike many previous Republican presidents, Trump delivered.

Furthermore, he demonstrated his commitment to the pro-life movement during his presidency. After all, he was the first sitting president to attend and speak at the annual March for Life Rally, a list that includes those deemed morally superior, such as George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan. New Poll Asks Americans if They Would Vote for Trump or DeSantis

A new poll released this week asked New Hampshire Republicans if they would vote for Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis or Trump if they ran against each other in the Republican primary in 2024.

A new University of New Hampshire Granite State poll published Wednesday found Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis received 39 percent of support from likely Republican primary voters in New Hampshire. Thirty-seven percent of likely Republican primary voters said they would vote for Trump. Nine percent of voters said they would vote for former Vice President Mike Pence. Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley garned 6 percent.

The Hill noted that the difference between DeSantis and Trump is “insignificant” and within the margin of error. (Read more from “New Poll Asks Americans if They Would Vote for Trump or Desantis” HERE)
