Trump on Colin Powell: Made Big Mistakes, Anyway May He Rest in Peace

Former President Donald Trump commented on Colin Powell after the former Secretary of State’s death was announced Monday.

“Wonderful to see Colin Powell, who made big mistakes on Iraq and famously, so-called weapons of mass destruction, be treated in death so beautifully by the Fake News Media,” the former president said in a press release about Powell on Tuesday morning. “Hope that happens to me someday,” he continued.

“He was a classic RINO, if even that, always being the first to attack other Republicans.” (Read more from “Trump on Colin Powell: Made Big Mistakes, Anyway May He Rest in Peace” HERE)

Donald Trump Mocks Biden Corruption: ‘Hunter Has Inspired Me To Begin Painting’

Former President Donald Trump slammed the Biden administration in a Friday statement for being “crooked” and mocked Hunter Biden’s shadowy and lucrative art career, saying it has “inspired [him] to immediately begin painting.”

“While I have never painted before, Hunter has inspired me to immediately begin painting because I’ve always felt I have a talent at that, and could surely get at least $2 million dollars per canvas—and probably a lot more. I will begin immediately. Our Country is crooked as hell!” the 45th president said.

The president’s son reportedly sold at least five pieces of art to anonymous buyers on October 1 for $75,000 each at his Los Angeles exhibit. Hunter’s newfound cash cow has furthered concerns of potential for Biden family corruption, as the problem of money laundering in the art world remains a large problem. . .

Trump also criticized the Justice Department’s reinstatement of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe last week. Former Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired McCabe in 2018 for allegedly lying to investigators about releasing unauthorized information to the Wall Street Journal regarding Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email servers. The firing occurred just one day prior to McCabe’s retirement, a firing his lawyers argued was politically motivated due to his role in the Russian collusion investigation, Breitbart News reported. Biden Flip-Flops, Now Reinstating Trump’s ‘Remain-in-Mexico’ Policy

President Biden used some of his important first hours in office last winter to try to undo President Trump’s largely successful efforts at shutting off the flow of illegal aliens coming into the U.S. across its southern border.

Besides halting plans to continue building physical barriers on the border, Biden dropped President Trump’s “remain-in-Mexico” policy through which those seeking asylum remained in Mexico until hearings before a U.S. immigration court.

The U.S. Supreme Court earlier ruled that was a decision Biden mishandled, and now the president is admitting defeat and plans to reinstate it.

The Daily Mail reports the actual result now will depend on approval from the Mexican government, which has raised some issues U.S. officials say they are trying to address.

“Mexico wants cases to generally conclude within six months and ensure that asylum-seekers have timely and accurate information about hearing dates and times and better access to legal counsel,” the report explained. Anti-Trump Republicans Endorsing Vulnerable Democrats To Prevent GOP Takeover

A group of anti-Trump Republicans on Thursday endorsed a slate of Democrats and centrist Republicans in the 2022 midterms to fight against the former president’s hold on the party.

The Renew America Movement (RAM) announced it is backing a slew of lawmakers running for reelection. The group was founded by a group of moderates within the GOP after the Jan. 6 insurrection, which was fueled by then-President Trump’s lies about the election being stolen in November.

“There is an urgent effort by Republicans and former Republicans to stem the tide of anti-democratic and lie-based Republican leaders in congress before it’s too late,” RAM said in an announcement. . .

Among the endorsees are the handful of Republicans who have criticized Trump, including Rep. Liz Cheney (Wyo.), who is the former president’s public enemy No. 1 over her repeated criticism of him over the insurrection, and Rep. Adam Kinzinger (Ill.), who may not have a seat to run for after redistricting in Illinois. (Read more from “Anti-Trump Republicans Endorsing Vulnerable Democrats To Prevent GOP Takeover” HERE)

WATCH: Trump Rips Biden, Says ‘We’re Going To Take America Back’ at Recent Rally

Former President Donald Trump made a triumphant return to Iowa on Saturday for the first time since the 2020 presidential election and told a crowd of cheering supporters that “we’re going to take America back.”

Speaking to a gathering of thousands at the State Fairgrounds in Des Moines, Trump, who hasn’t announced a bid for 2024, blasted President Biden and his trillion-dollars infrastructure and spending legislation currently stalled in Congress and said Democrats are leading the country to the “brink of ruin.”

“We’re going to take America back,” he said during the 90-minute speech.

The former president also touted his 2020 win over Biden in the Hawkeye State by a 53 percent to 45 percent margin.

”As disastrous as the Biden administration has been, no one can blame the great state of Iowa, because boy we did really — we did really good here,” he said. “Iowa, what a place.”

Former Green Beret Lawmaker Defends Service Member Under Investigation for Trump Rally Appearance

Rep. Michael Waltz, a former Green Beret, is throwing his support behind a Marine currently under investigation for appearing at a Trump rally.

Lance Cpl. Hunter Clark is being investigated for potentially violating the political activities directive within the Department of Defense policy for coming onstage at former President Donald Trump’s Sept. 25 “Save America” rally in Perry, Georgia.

After being called onstage by the former president, Clark introduced himself as “the guy that pulled the baby over the wall,” referencing the viral video of a service member near the gates of Hamid Karzai International Airport amid the tumultuous evacuation efforts during the final stretch of the Afghanistan War .

Waltz, in a letter on Thursday addressed to Gen. David Berger, the commandant of the Marine Corps, said that he does “not believe LCpl Clark violated any policies,” and he urged the military officer to “consider the perspective of conservatives who believe the military is unevenly applying justice to servicemembers who hold conservative beliefs.”

The Florida Republican also encouraged the command team to “consider the perspective that supporters of former President Trump view the investigation as politically driven.” (Read more from “Former Green Beret Lawmaker Defends Service Member Under Investigation for Trump Rally Appearance” HERE)

Trump To Use Executive Privilege to Block Jan. 6 Subpoenas

Former President Donald Trump will use executive privilege to block subpoenas from the House committee investigating the storming of the U.S. Capitol building, a new report says.

The subpoenas, issued Sept. 23, have a Thursday deadline to comply or face “criminal referrals.” Trump will instead invoke executive privilege, a power he retains over events that occurred during his administration despite leaving office, to protect a handful of former aides from divulging information about Jan. 6, Grant Stinchfield from Newsmax reported Wednesday.

“He is going to invoke executive privilege, and that means that people like Chief of Staff Mark Meadows; Dan Scavino, a top adviser; and Kash Patel, another top adviser, will not be able to comply with these subpoenas coming from the Jan. 6 commission,” Stinchfield said. “This is what you get with President Trump. You get a man who fights back. That’s what we love about President Trump, and he’s sticking it to these people trying to go after him.”

Trump lawyer Patrick Philbin, a former deputy White House counsel, is expected to tell the men not to comply with the subpoenas because doing so would hinder the president’s right to confidential information they gave to him during his administration, the host added. Forget Jan. 6, Trump Urges Probe of ‘Insurrection’ That Took Place Nov. 3

Former President Trump is calling for an investigation of the “insurrection” that happened last Nov. 3.

Democrats and leftists have uniformly used that description for the Jan. 6 events at the U.S. Capitol, where thousands attended a nearby rally with President Trump, and some then walked over to the Capitol building. . .

What lawmakers need to review, he said, is the “insurrection” that “changed last year’s election rules and committee chairman Bennie Thompson’s ties to a black separatist group whose members killed cops decades ago,” a Just the News report said.

“Trump said the real insurrection occurred in connection with the Nov. 3 election when liberals managed to change the rules for elections in key states to, among other things, treat mail-in ballots like ‘junk mail,’ use insecure drop boxes to collect votes, and extend counting deadlines, all in the name of battling the COVID-19 pandemic,” the report said.

While numerous lawsuits over suspicious events during the 2020 election failed to result in any changes, what is not in question is that state and local officials arbitrarily changed state laws regarding ballots in order to accommodate mail-in votes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Biden Administration Lifts Trump-Era Abortion Policy

The Biden administration reversed a Trump-era policy prohibiting federally-funded family planning clinics from making abortion referrals, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) said Monday.

“Today, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued a final rule to strengthen the Title X family planning program, fulfilling the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to restore access to equitable, affordable, client-centered, quality family planning services,” the statement reads.

In the final rule, it describes the change as a way to “readopt” regulations and “revoke the requirements of the 2019 regulations, including removing restrictions on nondirective options counseling and referrals for abortion services and eliminating requirements for strict physical and financial separation between abortion-related activities and Title X project activities.”

Prior to 2019, federally-funded family planning clinics did not utilize tax dollars for abortions. The Trump administration’s policy took this a step further, not allowing these clinics to refer patients to abortions. (Read more from “Biden Administration Lifts Trump-Era Abortion Policy” HERE)

Mike Pence Says He ‘Parted Amicably’ With Trump

Former Vice President Mike Pence said late Monday that he “parted amicably” with former President Trump at the end of their terms in January.

During an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Pence was asked about his relationship with the former president amid their disagreements about certifying the 2020 election on Jan. 6.

“Look, you can’t spend almost five years in a political foxhole with somebody without developing a strong relationship,” Pence said.

Trump repeatedly pressured Pence to block the results of the 2020 election when Congress certified them on Jan. 6. During the count, a mob of Trump’s supporters breached the Capitol, leading to a delay of the certification.

Congress would ultimately certify President Biden’s Electoral College victory once the Capitol was secured. (Read more from “Mike Pence Says He ‘Parted Amicably’ With Trump” HERE)
