Trump to SUE Facebook, Twitter, Google Over Alleged Censorship; 36 States and D.C. Take Google to Court

By Fox News. Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced that he will lead a lawsuit over alleged censorship against Twitter, Facebook and Google – three tech companies that removed him from their platforms after the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol by a mob of his supporters.

The lawsuit will be a class-action, with Trump as the lead plaintiff, claiming that he’s been censored by the companies. He spoke about the legal action from his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

“I stand before you this morning to announce a very important… development for our freedom and freedom of speech,” Trump said. “In conjunction with the America First Policy Institute, I’m filing, as the lead class-action representative, a major class-action lawsuit against the big tech giants, including Facebook, Google and Twitter, as well as their CEOs.”

“There is no better evidence that big tech is out of control than the fact that they banned the sitting president of the United States earlier this year,” Trump added. “If they can do it to me they can do it to anyone.”

Twitter, YouTube and Facebook each barred Trump over his false claims that the presidential election was stolen, alleging that he contributed to the violence at the Capitol on Jan. 6. YouTube is owned by Google. (Read more from “Trump to Sue Facebook, Twitter, Google Over Alleged Censorship” HERE)

36 States and D.C. Take Google to Court

By PJ Media. On Wednesday, the attorneys general of 36 states and the District of Columbia filed an anti-trust lawsuit against Google. The bipartisan lawsuit echoes a similar case that Fortnite-maker Epic Games brought against the search giant last August, challenging Google’s surcharge on apps that use its Google Play Store.

The lawsuit brought Republican AGs like Sean Reyes (Utah), Herbert Slatery III (Tenn.), Mark Brnovich (Ariz.), and Doug Peterson (Neb.) together with Democratic AGs like Josh Stein (N.C.), Letitia James (N.Y.), Philip Weiser (Colo.), and Thomas J. Miller (Iowa), Politico reported.

The lawsuit alleges that Google’s plan for its pay-to-Play Store violates anti-trust laws, harming consumers in the states. Google has announced its plan to force all app developers who use the Google Play Store to pay a 30 percent commission on sales of digital goods or services, starting in September. Epic Games challenged a similar policy last August. Judge James Donato, the Obama appointee who will hear the states’ lawsuit, has scheduled a trial in the Epic lawsuit for April 2022.

The pay-to-Play Store is the default app store on Google’s Android phones, although Android users can also download apps from stores operated by companies like Amazon and Samsung, or even install them directly from other sources. Apple, by contrast, only allows iPhone users to download phones from Apple’s App Store. (Read more from “36 States and D.C. Take Google to Court” HERE)

Arizona AG Asked To Conduct Election Interference Investigation Into Trump

Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs urged Attorney General Mark Brnovich to investigate election interference by former President Donald Trump and his allies in the aftermath of the 2020 presidential race.

Hobbs, a Democrat running for governor, insisted the 45th president and others engaged in behaviors that “involve clear efforts to induce supervisors to refuse to comply with their duties,” as she referenced at least one alleged felony violation in a letter to the state’s top prosecutor. Hobbs cited repeated phone calls from the White House in early January directed at Clint Hickman, a Republican and top Maricopa County supervisor, and voicemails from Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani and Arizona Republican Party Chairwoman Kelli Ward.

“As you said just last week, ‘Fair elections are the cornerstone of our republic, and they start with rational laws that protect both the right to vote and the accuracy of the results,’” Hobbs wrote, according to the Arizona Republic. “Arizona law protects election officials from those who would seek to interfere with their sacred duties to ascertain and certify the will of the voters.”

The news outlet recently obtained multiple text messages and voicemails that Trump wanted to chat with Hickman, who said he ignored the White House at the time. Hickman described the barrage of messages as “horrifying” after it was revealed Trump attempted to pressure Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to “find 11,780 votes,” a number that would grant him a victory in the state awarded to President Joe Biden.

That call is now under scrutiny as part of a criminal investigation into Trump’s efforts to overturn the results of the Nov. 3 election in Fulton County. (Read more from “Arizona AG Asked To Conduct Election Interference Investigation Into Trump” HERE)

WATCH: Mike Lindell Claims 2020 Election Results Will Be Overturned in August

Mike Lindell has announced a date for Donald Trump’s proposed reinstatement as president in August.

“The morning of August 13, it will be the talk of the world, going, ‘Hurry up! Let’s get this election pulled down,” the MyPillow CEO told Brannon Howse of Worldview Weekend Broadcast Network. “Let’s right the right. Let’s get these communists out, you know that have taken over.”

Lindell has focused much of his efforts since the electoral votes were counted in Joe Biden’s favor on proffering a theory that Trump could be reinstated as president.

According to Patriot Takes, which posted the clip on Twitter, Lindell also proclaimed, “there will be many down-ticket senators that will have different election results.”

JD Vance Regrets Criticizing, Not Voting for Trump in 2016

J.D. Vance, a candidate in Ohio’s Senate race and the author of “Hillbilly Elegy,” apologized Monday for past tweets criticizing former President Donald Trump.

“Like a lot of people, I criticized Trump back in 2016,” Vance said Monday. “And I ask folks not to judge me based on what I said in 2016, because I’ve been very open that I did say those critical things and I regret them, and I regret being wrong about the guy. I think he was a good president, I think he made a lot of good decisions for people, and I think he took a lot of flak.”

“I think … the most important thing, is not what you said five years ago, but whether you’re willing to stand up and take the heat and take the hits for actually defending the interests of the American people,” Vance said. Trump: ‘Biden Is Perhaps The Most Unpatriotic President In American History’

By Washington Examiner. Former President Donald Trump questioned his successor’s patriotism during an Independence Day celebration in Florida.

Trump said President Joe Biden “is perhaps the most unpatriotic president in American history” because his administration canceled a planned Fourth of July fireworks celebration at Mount Rushmore in South Dakota due to concerns about the transmission of COVID-19.

“We had fireworks at Mount Rushmore that were so incredible … and it was wonderful, and then, I saw the other day that they refuse to allow it to happen again. I think they do it in spite,” he told a Sarasota crowd Saturday night. “It’s so ridiculous. It’s so sad.” . . .

Trump alleged that the Left wants “to cancel the heroes on Mount Rushmore,” jokingly saying they want to replace the likeness of President Thomas Jefferson at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C., with that of Al Sharpton or Biden.

“[It’s] not acceptable. We stopped that. That was going to — they were heading that way, and I signed the bill [saying], ‘If you touch it, you go to jail for 10 years,’ and everyone turned around, and they went back home,” he said in an apparent reference to a June 2020 executive order designed to protect monuments and statues from vandalism. Donald Trump Jr. has compared charges against Trump Organization chief financial officer (CFO) Allen Weisselberg to how Russian President Vladimir Putin treats his political opponents.

Former President Donald Trump’s eldest son, who is executive vice president of development and acquisitions at the company, spoke to Fox News’ Jesse Watters about the indictments on Thursday. . .

Trump Jr. told Watters: “This is the political persecution of a political enemy.”

Report: Trump’s Children Will Be Indicted ‘Next’

Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer Michael Cohen predicted Thursday on CNN “Newsroom” that Manhattan prosecutors investigating the Trump Organization will indict former President Donald Trump’s children Ivanka, Donald Jr., and Eric “next.”

Anchor Alisyn Camerota said, “There were other people mentions, other employees, and it sounded like it goes beyond Allen Weisselberg. You think this is bigger than Allen Weisselberg. Who do you think is next to be indicted?”

Cohen said, “Well, I think Matthew Calamari is on the chopping block as well. He received the same type of perks. He received the same perks and benefits that Allen Weisselberg received. On top of that, I also believe there are other members of the Trump Organization, including the children, who are next to come up onto these indictments.” (Read more from “Report: Trump’s Children Will Be Indicted ‘Next’” HERE)

Trump Organization CFO Pleads Not Guilty to Charges

Allen Weisselberg, the Trump Organization’s longtime chief financial officer, pleaded not guilty to tax fraud and other charges Thursday — as lawyers for the company blasted the prosecution as a politically driven effort by Manhattan DA Cy Vance to target former President Donald Trump.

In addition to the tax fraud rap, Weisselberg, who prosecutors made a show of leading through the court hallway in handcuffs, was also hit with conspiracy, grand larceny and falsifying business records charges, prosecutors said in Manhattan Supreme Court.

Attorneys for the Trump Organization and the Trump Payroll Corp. also appeared in court and entered a not guilty plea on behalf of the companies.

Prosecutors charged the company and Weisselberg engaged in a 15-year tax fraud scheme to pay the CFO — a longtime Trump loyalist — and other executives at the company in “manner that was ‘off the books,’” according to an indictment unsealed soon after the court appearance. Grand Jury Indicts Trump Organization

By Townhall. On Wednesday night, The New York Times reported, “Trump Organization and Top Executive Are Indicted in Tax Investigation.” The executive in question is Allen Weisselberg, the organization’s Chief Financial Officer. The charges are “not immediately clear,” because the indictment has not been unsealed. It is expected to be once Weisselberg and lawyers appear in court, which is expected to be tomorrow.

Nevertheless, there is some speculation. From The Times:

But prosecutors in the Manhattan district attorney’s office have been examining bonuses and luxury perks that Mr. Weisselberg received — including an apartment in Manhattan, leased Mercedes-Benz cars and private school tuition for at least one of his grandchildren — and whether taxes should have been paid on those benefits.

The indictment is a major development in the investigation led by the district attorney, Cyrus R. Vance, Jr., who has been conducting a sweeping inquiry into Mr. Trump and his business dealings along with the New York State attorney general, Letitia James.

Trump Org, CFO Indicted by New York Grand Jury: Reports

By The Hill. . .Two people told the Post that Weisselberg is expected to surrender Thursday morning, and later that day, he’s expected to be arraigned in front of a state court judge. The Trump Organization is also expected to be arraigned. The New York Times reported that the indictments would be unsealed following the court appearances.

People familiar with the plans told the Post that charges are not expected against former President Trump himself at this time. . .

The Journal reported that the company and Weisselberg are expected to face charges related to allegations that Trump Organization employees avoided paying taxes on fringe benefits such as cars, apartments and other bonuses they received through the company.

Ronald Fischetti, an attorney representing former President Trump, said in an interview on Monday that Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr.’s office told him it is currently considering charges against the Trump Organization and individual employees for allegedly not paying taxes on company benefits. There are no charges related to hush money allegations or potential fraud regarding property valuations, he said. (Read more from “Trump Org, CFO Indicted by New York Grand Jury: Reports” HERE)
