Military Ballots Cast for Trump Found Discarded

A handful of ballots cast by members of the military for President Trump were found discarded in Pennsylvania, the Justice Department announced on Thursday.

Luzerne County District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis asked the DOJ and FBI to open an investigation into the discarded ballots on Monday following reports of “potential issues with a small number of mail-in ballots at the Luzerne County Board of Elections,” the Department of Justice (DOJ) said in a release.

“At this point we can confirm that a small number of military ballots were discarded,” the DOJ said. “Some of those ballots can be attributed to specific voters and some cannot.”

The DOJ initially said the discarded ballots consisted of nine for Trump. A revised release said seven of the nine were for Trump and that the contents of the other two unknown. . .

Pennsylvania is not one of several states that is automatically mailing ballot applications to all registered voters. (Read more from “Military Ballots Cast for Trump Found Discarded” HERE)

Trump Denies Suggesting Adding His Face to Mount Rushmore, but Calls It ‘a Good Idea’

President Trump claimed that a recent New York Times report that he had inquired about having his face added to Mount Rushmore was “Fake News,” although he was not exactly opposed to the idea.

The Times reported on Saturday that in 2019, a White House aide asked South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem’s office about how a president could get added to the famed mountain sculpture. CNN later picked up the Times’ report, adding a reference to a 2018 Oval Office meeting where, Noem said, Trump asked her about it directly.

“This is Fake News by the failing @nytimes & bad ratings @CNN,” Trump tweeted Sunday evening. “Never suggested it although, based on all of the many things accomplished during the first 3 1/2 years, perhaps more than any other Presidency, sounds like a good idea to me!”

Noem claimed, according to the Sioux Falls Argus Leader, that she had encouraged Trump to visit South Dakota, mentioning Mount Rushmore, to which Trump replied that it was his “dream” to have his face on there. Explosive New FBI Texts Detail Internal Furor Over Handling Of ‘Crossfire Hurricane’ Investigation

By The Federalist. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents tasked by fired former Director James Comey to take down Donald Trump during and after the 2016 election were so concerned about the agency’s potentially illegal behavior that they purchased liability insurance to protect themselves less than two weeks before Trump was inaugurated president, previously hidden FBI text messages show. The explosive new communications and internal FBI notes were disclosed in federal court filings today from Sidney Powell, the attorney who heads Michael Flynn’s legal defense team.

“[W]e all went and purchased professional liability insurance,” one agent texted on Jan. 10, 2017, the same day CNN leaked details that then-President-elect Trump had been briefed by Comey about the bogus Christopher Steele dossier. That briefing of Trump was used as a pretext to legitimize the debunked dossier, which was funded by the Democratic National Committee and the Clinton campaign and compiled by a foreign intelligence officer who was working for a sanctioned Russian oligarch. . .

While the names of the agents responsible for the texts are redacted, the legal filing from Powell, quoting communications from the Department of Justice (DOJ), states that the latest document production included handwritten notes and texts from Peter Strzok, Andrew McCabe, Lisa Page, and FBI analysts who worked on the FBI’s investigation of Flynn.

Agents also said they were worried about how a new attorney general might view the actions taken against Trump during the investigation. Shortly after then-Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) was confirmed to be Trump’s new attorney general, congressional Democrats, media, and Obama holdovers within DOJ immediately moved to force Sessions to recuse himself from overseeing the department’s investigations against Trump.

“[T]he new AG might have some questions….then yada yada yada…we all get screwed,” one agent wrote. (Read more from “Predicted Mass Infections From Reopening Schools Fails to Materialize” HERE)

‘Source’ of anti-Trump Steele dossier investigated for Russia contacts: Barr

By Fox News. The primary “source” of the anti-Trump dossier authored by ex-British intelligence agent Christopher Steele was the subject of an FBI counterintelligence investigation from 2009 to 2011 for suspected contact with Russian intelligence officers, Fox News has learned.

Attorney General Bill Barr penned a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., on Thursday responding to requests as part of the panel’s review into the origins of the Russia probe.

“In connection with your Committee’s investigation of these matters and ongoing hearings, you have been asking us to accelerate this process and to provide any additional information relating to the reliability of the work of Christopher Steele and the so-called ‘Steele dossier,’ as long as its release would not compromise U.S. Attorney John Durham’s ongoing criminal investigation,” Barr wrote.

“A footnote in the Inspector General’s report contains information, which up till now has been classified and redacted, bearing on the reliability of the Steele dossier,” Barr wrote. “The FBI has declassified the relevant portion of the footnote, number 334, which states that ‘the Primary Sub-source was the subject of an FBI counterintelligence investigation from 2009 to 2011 that assessed his or her contacts with suspected Russian intelligence officers.'”

Barr added that at his request, the FBI has prepared a declassified summary of certain information from the counterintelligence investigation into the source, which he has shared with the committee. Donald Trump Jr. Blasts Media for Ignoring Hunter Biden Report

Donald Trump Jr. slammed the media for largely ignoring the damning revelations from the GOP-led Senate report on Hunter Biden’s foreign financial ties.

The Senate Homeland Security and Finance Committees on Wednesday released an interim report on their months-long joint investigation into Hunter Biden’s role on the board of Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings and his alleged “extensive and complex financial transactions,” but also highlighted his questionable transactions with Russian and Chinese nationals.

None of the revelations, however, were given much coverage by many of the major news networks.

CNN and all three nightly news programs on ABC, CBS and NBC avoided the subject. MSNBC host Rachel Maddow was the only host on the network to address the Senate report but spent those roughly two minutes of coverage downplaying it.

Trump Jr. blasted the lack of coverage of the Senate report, suggesting a stark double standard between himself and the former VP’s son.

Trump Announces ‘America First’ Health Care Plan

President Donald Trump on Thursday evening signed a series of executive orders which he said constituted part of a long-promised health care plan.

Speaking before a crowd in Charlotte, N.C., Trump said that his plan would would offer “better care, with more choice, at a much lower cost, and working to ensure that Americans have access to the care they need.” He detailed a set of concrete policy goals: affordable insurance, cutting prescription drug costs, ending surprise billing, increasing price transparency, and protecting patients with preexisting conditions.

How the administration will achieve those goals, however, remains unclear. Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar told reporters earlier in the day that the orders would make it the “policy of the United States” that individuals will not be denied insurance coverage on the basis of preexisting conditions, and calls on Congress to produce legislation to that effect. Absent such legislation, Azar would be required to investigate regulatory alternatives—although what those would be remains undefined.

Text of an Executive Order released Thursday evening is similarly light on details. The order establishes preexisting condition coverage as official policy of the United States, alongside “more choice, lower costs, and better care.” It instructs the secretaries of the Treasury, Labor, and Health and Human Services to find ways to pursue these goals, including calling on Congress to end surprise billing. The order’s sole concrete action requires Azar to add information about hospital billing quality to Medicare.gov’s Hospital Compare service. White House: Trump Will Accept Results of a ‘Free and Fair’ Election

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany sought to allay concerns that President Trump may not cede power if he loses on Election Day, telling reporters that he would accept the results of an election that is “free and fair.”

“The president will accept the results of a free and fair election,” McEnany said during a White House news briefing Thursday. “He will accept the will of the American people.”

Concerns that the president would challenge the results of the election were ignited on Wednesday when Trump would not “commit” to a “peaceful transfer of power,” declining to answer a reporter’s question clearly during a White House news conference.

Trump pointed instead to mail-in ballots, which he has argued are susceptible to fraud and predicted the election would be decided by the Supreme Court.

For this reason, he said, filling the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s seat before the election is important. (Read more from “White House: Trump Will Accept Results of a ‘Free and Fair’ Election” HERE)

Murkowski Backtracks on RBG Vacancy

. . .Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) said he wouldn’t block the nominee. Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) is a ‘no,’ but as we’ve said before—Maine is an oddball state. She gets a pass. Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), a runner up in the biggest pain in the a** contest among the GOP, did initially say that she’s opposed to filling the Supreme Court vacancy left by Ruth Bade Ginsburg, but is now changing her tune. The last justice passed away last Friday making the 2020 election even more interesting. And now, Murkowski is changing her tune (via Alaska Public Media):

If Democrats were counting on Lisa Murkowski to vote against President Trump’s next nominee to the Supreme Court, they should think again.

Sen. Murkowski said Tuesday she could not rule out that she would vote to confirm a Trump nominee if the Judiciary Committee approves one before the November election.

“I know everybody wants to ask the question, ‘will you confirm the nominee?’” she said outside the Capitol, as her Republican colleagues were gathering for their weekly policy lunch. “We don’t have a nominee yet. You and I don’t know who that is. And so I can’t confirm whether or not I can confirm a nominee when I don’t know who the nominee is.”

Editor’s note: typical of Murkowski’s duplicity, just days ago she said she would oppose Ginsburg’s replacement this close to an election.

President Trump to Announce Supreme Court Pick This Weekend

By Breitbart. President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he would announce his Supreme Court nominee at 5:00 p.m. EST on Saturday.

“The decision will be announced on Saturday, 5:00 on Saturday at the White House,” Trump told supporters at a campaign rally in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburg.

Supporters chanted “Fill that Seat!” as the president spoke about his plan to fill the seat left vacant after the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. . .

Without naming Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska or Sen. Susan Collins of Maine specifically, Trump complained that there would always be some dissent in the party.

“There’s always got to be the two, those two,” Trump said. (Read more from “President Trump to Announce Supreme Court Pick This Weekend” HERE)

Cuban-American Judge Barbara Lagoa on Trump High Court List

By Associated Press. A daughter of Cuban exiles who has had a swift rise as a lawyer and judge is on President Donald Trump’s short list to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the U.S. Supreme Court.

The president said Monday that he does not personally know Barbara Lagoa, but praised her as “terrific.” Barely veiled was the fact that, as a Cuban-American from South Florida’s city of Hialeah, her selection could benefit Trump in the Nov. 3 election, when Florida could be the ultimate kingmaker. Lagoa grew up in a heavily Hispanic suburb of Miami.

“She’s excellent. She’s Hispanic. She’s a terrific woman from everything I know. I don’t know her. Florida. We love Florida. So she’s got a lot of things — very smart,” Trump said in a call-in interview with “Fox and Friends.” (Read more from “Cuban-American Judge Barbara Lagoa on Trump High Court List” HERE)

Trump Bans U.S. From Doing Business With Those Who Promote ‘Harmful’ Far-Left Critical Race Theory

President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday afternoon that he has banned the U.S. government from doing business with people and companies who promote far-left critical race theory, noting that the ideology is “divisive and harmful.”

“A few weeks ago, I BANNED efforts to indoctrinate government employees with divisive and harmful sex and race-based ideologies,” Trump tweeted. “Today, I’ve expanded that ban to people and companies that do business with our Country, the United States Military, Government Contractors, and Grantees. Americans should be taught to take PRIDE in our Great Country, and if you don’t, there’s nothing in it for you!”

. . .Earlier this month, the Trump administration announced that it was cracking down on the “divisive” and “anti-American propaganda” after learning that it had started to seep into federal agencies.

In a memo released by Russell Vought, Director of the Office of Management and Budget, the administration noted that the far-left ideology falsely promoted the notion that “there is racism embedded in the belief that America is the land of opportunity or the belief that the most qualified person should receive a job.” (Read more from “Trump Bans U.S. From Doing Business With Those Who Promote ‘Harmful’ Far-Left Critical Race Theory” HERE)

Woman Accused of Mailing Ricin to President Trump Identified

The Canadian woman accused of mailing envelopes containing the poison ricin to President Donald J. Trump and local law enforcement agencies has been identified.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation identified Pascale Ferrier, 53, as the suspect in this case. . .

An unidentified Canadian national was arrested Sunday while trying to enter the United States from Canada and is believed to have been responsible for mailing a letter addressed to President Donald J. Trump containing the highly toxic poison that can cause organ failure and death.

The Associated Press reported that multiple law enforcement agencies in the Rio Grande Valley were also mailed letters containing ricin over the weekend and are believed to have been mailed by the same person.

Mission police spokesman Investigator Art Flores confirmed that a letter was received by Mission police on Thursday or Friday but it was not immediately clear if the letter contained ricin or not. The suspect, he said, was arrested by Mission police last year. (Read more from “Woman Accused of Mailing Ricin to President Trump Identified” HERE)
