Maricopa County 2020 Election Auditors Complete Paper Examination

The Republican-led Arizona Senate’s audit of the 2020 election in Maricopa County reached a significant milestone on Friday, but it will probably be weeks before the findings are released to the public.

The announcement confirming the conclusion of the ballot inspection portion of the audit comes less than two weeks after auditors finished a recount of 2.1 million ballots cast in Arizona’s most populous county, which includes Phoenix, with a few exceptions, such as Braille ballots.

The physical review of ballots included an inspection of their weight and thickness, examination of folds under microscopes, and workers holding ballots up to UV lights.

Towards the end of the process, workers were examining 100,000 ballots per day, the Maricopa Arizona Audit said in a tweet on Thursday. (Read more from “Maricopa County 2020 Election Auditors Complete Paper Examination” HERE)

Election Auditors Find Problem: Scan Counted 28 Percent of Test Ballots for GOP Candidates

Auditors who are examining votes in Windham, New Hampshire, may have discovered why initial results showed a discrepancy in the vote count for a Democrat candidate.

Republicans in Windham, New Hampshire won all four seats in the legislative election on Nov. 3, but a Democrat candidate, Kristi St. Lauren, requested a recount, which was granted because she lost by just 24 votes.

However, during a hand recount, it was revealed that she didn’t lose by 24 votes. Instead, the effort revealed that the GOP candidates had actually received 300 additional votes, while St. Laurent lost 99 votes. . .

The auditors, in another tweet, found that another machine had an “even more dramatic problem,” only counting 28 percent of the 75 votes for each Republican candidate in the contest. . .

One of the auditors cautioned that their work evaluating the election isn’t finished yet, saying that folding may not be the primary reason for the discrepancy. (Read more from “Election Auditors Find Problem: Scan Counted 28 Percent of Test Ballots for GOP Candidates” HERE)

Maricopa County Officials Blast Election Auditors, Refuse Meeting With Arizona Senate

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors demanded an end to the Arizona Senate-led audit of the 2020 election in the populous county that includes Phoenix, a significant new stand by the Republican-led group against the review that former President Donald Trump and his allies have cited to further claim the contest was stolen.

Board members issued their defiant response after holding a meeting Monday afternoon to address questions raised by Senate President Karen Fann in a letter to Chairman Jack Sellers regarding the audit, which includes a review of the county’s 2.1 million ballots and election equipment, raising “serious issues” auditors claimed to have found during their work. Among them, Fann said, was the county’s failure to provide virtual copies of Wi-Fi routers and allegations that someone deleted a main database from the Election Management System.

“These accusations are false, defamatory, and beneath the dignity of the Senate,” the board wrote in a 13-page letter signed by all five members. “They are an insult to the dedicated public servants in the Maricopa County Elections Department and Office of the Recorder, who work incredibly long hours conducting the County’s elections with integrity and honor.”

Compounding the controversy surrounding Fann’s letter last week are tweets by an account for the audit, run by unnamed volunteers, which has clashed with local journalists covering the process and made serious but so far unsubstantiated allegations about the election.

AZ State Senate Asks Maricopa County To Address ‘Serious Issues’ Found In Audit

The president of the Arizona State Senate asked the chairman of the Maricopa Board of Supervisors in a letter on Tuesday to address “three serious issues that have arisen in the course of the Senate’s ongoing audit of the returns of the November 3, 2020 general election in Maricopa County. “

Arizona State Senate President Karen Fann identified those three issues in her letter to Maricopa County Supervisors Board Chairman Jack Sellers as: (1) ongoing non-compliance with legislative subpoenas, deleted data bases (2) chain of custody and ballot organization anomalies, and (3) deleted data bases.

As Breitbart News reported on December 16:

Arizona Senate Republicans on Tuesday issued subpoenas to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors for a scanned ballot audit and ‘full forensic audit of ballot tabulation equipment, the software for that equipment and the election management system used in the 2020 general election.’

The audit of Maricopa County’s November 2020 election results began on April 23 and may continue into the summer. (Read more from “AZ State Senate Asks Maricopa County To Address ‘Serious Issues’ Found In Audit” HERE)

Software To Manipulate Totals Found on Voting Machines, Lawyer Says

A lawyer fighting an election-fraud case in Antrim County, Michigan, has revealed that the voting machines there contained a software program that could have been used to manipulate vote totals.

In fact, lawyer Matthew DePerno said in a podcast interview that with the MySQL program installed on the machines, and them all being linked, someone with access could “do whatever you want.”

DePerno, just a day earlier confirmed in a court hearing that there were 1,061 “phantom votes” in the county during the 2020 presidential election, because while a recount of ballots tallied 15,962, the Michigan secretary of state’s database showed only 14,901 votes were cast. . .

Rucker said the bombshell that DePerno delivered was that all of the voting machines were connected to each other through an intranet, that itself was not connected to the internet. However, he said a laptop computer with access to the intranet and access to the internet was left on during the Election Night counting.

He explained, “What we’ve seen in Antrim County is that all of the computers in the county are connected on a dedicated network, an intranet. So, remember back when I was coming up as a lawyer, we had email within the office that wasn’t connected to the internet. It was self-contained, an intranet, right, a dedicated email network. They have the same thing in Antrim County even today, a dedicated network where everyone can communicate, but they tell us it’s not connected to the internet.” (Read more from “Software To Manipulate Totals Found on Voting Machines, Lawyer Says” HERE)

Florida Governor Signs Sweeping Election Integrity Reform Bill

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) signed a sweeping voting reform bill on Thursday morning. Senate bill 90 bans ballot harvesting, ramps up voter identification requirements, bans unsolicited mail-in voting, and outlaws private money from administering elections.

“I have what we think is the strongest election integrity measures in the country. We’re making sure we’re enforcing voter ID…We’re also banning ballot harvesting. We’re not gonna let political operatives go and get satchels of votes to dump them in some drop box,” DeSantis said while signing the bill live on Fox and Friends. “We’re also prohibiting mass mailing of balloting. We’ve had absentee voting in Florida for a long time. You request the ballot. You get it. And you mail it in. But to just indiscriminately send them out is not a recipe for success.”

Arizona Passes New Law Banning Outside Money To Help Run Elections

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey has signed significant election integrity legislation into law.

“With public confidence in our elections in peril, it’s clear our elections must be pristine and above reproach—and the sole purview of government,” Ducey said Friday in a signing letter.

Arizona’s new law prevents private funding from going into elections, such as the $419 million in donations made by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan.

The Zuckerbergs gave a total of $350 million to the Center for Tech and Civic Life, a left-leaning technology group, that in turn issued grants to 2,500 election offices in 49 states. The spending included $5 million for Arizona, according to preliminary data from the Foundation for Government Accountability, The Daily Signal reported March 23.

In a statement to The Daily Signal, Arizona state Rep. Jake Hoffman said that “the passage and signing of House Bill 2569 makes Arizona the first in the nation to fully ban billionaires from influencing the administration and management of Arizona elections.”

Hoffman, a sponsor of the bill, referred to donations such as those made by the Zuckerbergs before the presidential election.

“In 2020, our nation saw a concerning new political tactic wherein big tech billionaires spent nearly half a billion dollars influencing the administration of the general election through a series of nonprofits operated by Democrat political operatives,” Hoffman said, adding:

Arizonans don’t want Democrat billionaires or Republican billionaires influencing the process of our elections.

We have sent a clear message that it doesn’t matter how much money you have, Arizona elections are not for sale.

State Sen. Juan Mendez, D-Tempe, said outside funds are used because Arizona does not have adequate funding for elections, The Associated Press reported.

“It’s easy to make a boogeyman out of billionaires. I don’t like them either. But we put ourselves in this situation,” Mendez said of the Legislature’s budgeting decisions. “Our elections are so underfunded we’ve got counties out there asking for money to do voter outreach.”

In a statement provided to The Daily Signal, Jessica Anderson, executive director of Heritage Action for America, said the new Arizona law will help keep the state’s elections free of outside influencers.

“Arizona lawmakers, including Gov. Doug Ducey and [state] Rep. Jake Hoffman, have been hard at work securing Arizona’s elections,” Anderson said, adding:

The latest bill signed into law, HB 2569, will prevent outside groups and individuals from pouring private money directly into Arizona’s election systems. Arizonans deserve elections free from outside interference, and this law will help restore voters’ trust in their state’s elections.

Majority Of Black Voters Say Voter ID Is Necessary To ‘A Fair And Secure Election Process’

Nearly three-quarters of black voters believe voter ID is necessary to ensure a “fair and secure election process,” a Rasmussen Reports survey released Tuesday found.

The survey, taken April 1 and 4 among 1,000 likely U.S. voters, asked respondents, “Are laws requiring voters to show photo identification such as a driver’s license before being allowed to vote necessary to ‘a fair and secure election process’?”

The vast majority of voters across the board, 75 percent, said “yes,” it is necessary. A majority of Republicans and Democrats also held that sentiment — 89 percent and 65 percent, respectively.

While Democrat politicians routinely liken basic election integrity measures to voter suppression and a means to suppress the minority vote, a majority of black voters, 73 percent, believe voter ID is necessary to ensure a fair and secure election process. What is more, 81 percent of other minority voters also believe voter ID is necessary. 2020 Chaos ‘Is Precisely How Elections Are Stolen’

A former counterintelligence officer who now is the director of investigations and research for Judicial Watch says the chaos of the 2020 presidential election “is precisely how elections are stolen.”

“The further we get from the November 2020 election, the more we will see documented evidence of voting irregularities, manipulations and gamesmanship,” writes Chris Farrell in a column for the Gatestone Institute.

Those problems need to be addressed before the November 2022 elections, he said, pointing to unresolved issues in Georgia, Wisconsin and Maricopa County, Arizona, in particular.

“We must use every legal tool available to us … to ensure free and fair elections that the American people can trust,” he said. . .

“The mainstream news media continues to shout down anyone raising even the slightest penumbral emanations of possible 2020 election irregularities, and social media giants suspend, and even erase, people for similar ‘violations of community standards’ (whatever that means),” he said. Justice Thomas: SCOTUS Refusal to Hear Pennsylvania Election Cases Is ‘Inexplicable’

. . .In his dissent Justice Thomas argued mass mail-in voting, which was conducted in Pennsylvania for the first time ahead of the 2020 presidential election in November, combined with election rules being rewritten last minute, makes the process prone to fraud and mistrust.

“The Constitution gives to each state legislature authority to determine the ‘Manner’ of federal elections…Yet both before and after the 2020 election, nonlegislative officials in various States took it upon themselves to set the rules instead. As a result, we received an unusually high number of petitions and emer- gency applications contesting those changes. The petitions here present a clear example. The Pennsylvania Legislature established an unambiguous deadline for receiving mail-in ballots: 8 p.m. on election day,” Thomas wrote. “Dissatisfied, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court extended that deadline by three days. The court also ordered officials to count ballots received by the new deadline even if there was no evi- dence—such as a postmark—that the ballots were mailed by election day. That decision to rewrite the rules seems to have affected too few ballots to change the outcome of any federal election. But that may not be the case in the future. These cases provide us with an ideal opportunity to address just what authority nonlegislative officials have to set elec- tion rules, and to do so well before the next election cycle. The refusal to do so is inexplicable.”
