Democrat Taking a ‘Hard Look’ at Presidential Run

By Washington Times. Sen. Elizabeth Warren says she’ll take a “hard look at running for president” after the November elections.

The Boston Globe reports the Massachusetts Democrat spoke about her future during a town hall in western Massachusetts Saturday.

Warren, a frequent critic of President Donald Trump, is running for re-election in November against GOP state Rep. Geoff Diehl, who was co-chairman of Trump’s 2016 Massachusetts campaign. (Read more from “Democrat Taking a ‘Hard Look’ at Presidential Run” HERE)

For Warren, ‘Engaged and Enraged’ Democratic Women Strong Base for Potential Presidential Run

By Boston Globe. When Senator Elizabeth Warren told a town hall audience in Holyoke on Saturday that she’d “take a hard look” at running for president after next month’s midterm election, she further stoked talk of her national ambitions.

Political observers on both sides of the spectrum who have long speculated about the liberal Democrat’s future on Sunday had a mixed response to Warren’s surprising statement, which came in response to a question from the audience.

A favorite of progressives and the party faithful, Warren has appeared emboldened by the growing anger toward President Trump and his conservative base. That anger, particularly among women, was never more apparent than on Thursday, when Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was questioned about sexual assault allegations before a Senate panel. . .

Noting the record number of women running for Congress this year, Rachael Cobb, chairwoman of the political science department at Suffolk University, said Warren appears to be putting up a “trial balloon,” ahead of what will likely be a crowded field for Democrats running for president in 2020. Elizabeth Warren’s Reaction to Mollie Tibbetts’ Murder Might Just Get Trump Re-Elected

Channeling the collective thought of the Washington D.C. establishment, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., does not believe the alleged murder of Mollie Tibbetts by an illegal immigrant is a “real” problem.

Speaking to CNN Wednesday, Warren said she was “sorry” for Tibbetts family, but pivoted away from talking about crimes committed by illegal immigrants to talk about the Trump administration’s former policy of separating families at the border.

“I’m so sorry for the family here and I know this is hard, not only for the family but for the people in her community, the people throughout Iowa,” Warren said. “But one of the things we have to remember is we need an immigration system that is effective, that focuses on where real problems are.”

“Last month I went down to the border and I saw where children had been taken away from their mothers,” she continued. “There was no plan for how they would be reunified with their children. I think we need immigration laws that focus on people who pose a real threat, and I don’t think mamas and babies are the place that we should be sending our resources.”

What Warren doesn’t seem to understand is that Mollie Tibbetts has been permanently separated from her family by a crime that was 100 percent preventable if the United States had a secure border. Tibbetts’ suspected killer, Cristhian Rivera, entered the United States illegally from Mexico and somehow managed to pass a federal E-Verify check.

But the would-be 2020 presidential candidate is not alone on the Left in downplaying the importance of the Mollie Tibbetts story. Fox News is under attack for devoting more coverage to the arrest of Tibbetts’ suspected murderer Tuesday than to the conviction of former Trump aide Paul Manafort and and the guilty plea of Michael Cohen to multiple federal crimes. An MSNBC guest dismissed the story as some “girl in Iowa” that “Fox News is talking about.” NeverTrump pundit Rick Wilson snarkily referred to the murder of an American citizen as “a local crime story.”

Mollie Tibbetts could have been anyone’s daughter. Her murder could have happened to any one of us, and the fact that people in the media and the Washington D.C. bubble don’t see why that’s far more relevant to most Americans is exactly why Donald Trump is president and exactly why he’ll continue to be president as long as he promises to do something about it.

Everyone knows that Donald Trump is a serial adulterer. Everyone knew before he was president that he associated with sleazy people like Michael Cohen. He became president in spite of his moral failings because he talked about the issues like illegal immigration that other politicians downplayed or ignored for years.

The media and politicians like Elizabeth Warren are still downplaying theses issues. And they’re going to help Trump survive an impeachment attempt by doing so. (For more from the author of “Elizabeth Warren’s Reaction to Mollie Tibbetts’ Murder Might Just Get Trump Re-Elected” please click HERE)

Elizabeth Warren Responds to Trump’s DNA Test Challenge

Presidential hopeful Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) responded to President Trump’s blistering, off-the-cuff comments at a “Promises Kept” rally in Montana Thursday by turning his DNA test theme to an election year hot topic: the separation of illegal immigrant families.

In a freewheeling rant that had the already raucous crowd rolling, Trump brought up one of his favorite Democrats to mock: “Pocahontas” Warren. In 2020, if he gets to debate Warren, he told the crowd, he “promise[s]” to toss over one of those $2 “Learn Your Heritage” DNA kits if she brings up her much-critiqued claim that she is Native American.

“We have to do it gently because we’re in the Me Too generation, so we have to be very gentle,” he said. “We will very gently take that kit and we will slowly toss it, hoping it doesn’t hit her and injure her arm, even though it only weighs probably 2 oz. And we will say, ‘I will give you a million dollars, paid for by Trump, to your favorite charity if you take the test and it shows you’re an Indian.’ And we’ll see what she does. I have a feeling she will say no, but we will hold it for the debates.”

In response, Warren hit Trump for “obsessing” over her genes and cited reports that the administration is using DNA tests to check claims of illegal immigrants that minors are actually their children after a number of migrants made false claims of parentage in hopes of getting asylum.

Elizabeth Warren’s ‘Native American Problem’ Keeps Getting Worse

With midterm elections still months down the road, pundits have already started speculating about the possible lineup of Democrats running for president in 2020.

At or near the top of most such lists is U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren. The Massachusetts Democrat has already demonstrated her fundraising and grassroots-organizing abilities, leading more than a few observers to suggest she is gearing up for a White House bid.

“I think Elizabeth is laying the groundwork for a run,” said San Francisco attorney Guy Saperstein in an interview last year. “She won’t admit it, but it looks like that.”

The investor pledged a $1 million contribution to a pro-Warren super PAC ahead of the 2016 election if she had entered the race.

Though she remains largely popular among her party’s growing left wing, the senator has what many fellow Democrats have identified as an easily exploitable flaw.

President Donald Trump has already made several references to claims that Warren incorrectly identified herself as a Native American on a college form in what critics allege was an attempt to fraudulently advance her academic career.

While Trump has been widely admonished for using the derisive nickname “Pocahontas” in reference to Warren, the backlash for Warren has hardly been contained to the Republican Party.

As the Boston Globe reported last week in a front-page article, Warren faces an uphill battle in explaining her actions to many of her would-be supporters in a presidential election.

“And, more telling, there’s also discomfort on the left and among some tribal leaders and activists that Warren has a political blind spot when it comes to the murkiness surrounding her story of her heritage, which blew up as an issue in her victorious 2012 Massachusetts Senate race,” the article read.

Among several examples of such backlash was a recent segment of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show.”

Though host Trevor Noah spent much of the monologue building an argument against Trump, he acknowledged there was a legitimate point behind the “Pocahontas” pejorative.

“He’s hitting Elizabeth Warren for saying she was Native American when she wasn’t — something she’s never apologized for or owned up to,” he said.

ThinkProgress surprised some readers when it published an op-ed written by a Cherokee woman deeply critical of Warren.

The piece was published in November, shortly after Trump’s most recent use of the controversial nickname.

“As a young Cherokee woman, one would assume that I would take Warren’s side in standing up against Trump’s racist remark,” Rebecca Nagle wrote.

Instead, she called on Warren to apologize.

Nagle ended the editorial by giving the senator permission to use a draft apology stating in part that she is “deeply sorry to the Native American people who have been greatly harmed” by her “misappropriation of Cherokee identity.”

The Globe article also noted that a number of tribal leaders have called on Warren to address the controversy and apologize.

In addition to an apology, the newspaper wrote that another “path” toward making amends “includes pursuing stronger outreach to the tribes with whom she claims to share kinship, a strategy that she’s begun to employ.”

Even taking this approach, however, has been seen by some in the Native American community as insincere and unconvincing.

Cherokee Nation leader Chad Smith said Warren is “not part of the Cherokee community” and “hasn’t reached out” to his people.

“She hasn’t come here and participated much,” he said. (For more from the author of “Elizabeth Warren’s ‘Native American Problem’ Keeps Getting Worse” please click HERE)

Elizabeth Warren’s ‘I Believe in Science’ Tweet Backfires

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., apparently wasn’t aware of the can of worms she would open when she responded to President Trump’s tweet mocking global-warming activists by declaring “I believe in science.”

Trump tweeted Thursday: “In the East, it could be the COLDEST New Year’s Eve on record. Perhaps we could use a little bit of that good old Global Warming that our Country, but not other countries, was going to pay TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS to protect against. Bundle up!”

Warren responded: “I’m going to say something really crazy: I believe in science. Climate change is real and we have a moral obligation to protect this Earth for our children and grandchildren.”

Her tweet, however, was met with actor James Woods and others offering her an education in science on topics such as DNA, gender and unborn children, the Daily Wire reported.

Woods, who this week took Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., to task for smearing Trump supporters, brought up Warren’s dubious claim that she has Native American ancestry. (Read more from “Elizabeth Warren’s ‘I Believe in Science’ Tweet Backfires” HERE)

Elizabeth Warren Uses Trump ‘Racial Slur’ to Solicit Cash

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., is featuring President Trump’s “Pocahontas” dig in a new fundraising email to supporters.

The senator has accused Trump of attacking her with a “racist slur” during a ceremony Monday at the White House honoring World War II Navajo code talkers.

“Trump stood right next to those Native American war heroes and came after me with another racist slur,” she states in the email dispatch.

During the ceremony, Trump told the code talkers, now in their 90s: “You’re very, very special people. You were here long before any of us were here. Although we have a representative in Congress who they say was here a long time ago. They call her Pocahontas. But you know what? I like you. Because you are special.”

Trump frequently referred to Warren during the 2016 presidential campaign as “Fauxcahontas,” playing on the senator’s unsubstantiated claim that she might be 1/32 Cherokee. (Read more from “Elizabeth Warren Uses Trump ‘Racial Slur’ to Solicit Cash” HERE)

Elizabeth Warner’s Challenger Sends Her a DNA Test

By Amber Athey. Shiva Ayyadurai, who is challenging Elizabeth Warren for her Massachusetts Senate seat, recently sent the Democrat a DNA kit to test her heritage.

Warren has been accused of fabricating her Native American heritage in order to gain career advantages through affirmative action. Donald Trump has capitalized on this accusation by referring to Warren as “Pocahontas.”

According to his tweet, Ayyadurai tried to send Warren a DNA kit to prove that she’s actually Native American but she refused his offer. Ayyadurai called her a “Fake Indian.” (Read more from “Elizabeth Warner’s Challenger Sends Her a DNA Test” HERE)

Shiva Ayyadurai, the Man Who Invented Email, Seeks to Unseat Senator Elizabeth Warren in 2018

By Adelle Nazarian. Shiva Ayyadurai, the man who is credited with inventing email among several other life-improving creations such as EchoMail, Systems Health, and CytoSolve, has announced that he is challenging Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) for her seat in the 2018 elections.

“I consider myself an embodiment of the American dream: an all-American Indian,” Ayyadurai told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview shortly after he launched his campaign.

He went on to say, “Massachusetts ignited the American Revolution. Now, we need to fight for the American dream. That victory will only be possible if we dialogue and educate each other to solve problems, together, as Americans.”

Ayyadurai landed in America on his 7th birthday in 1970. At age 14, while working as a Research Fellow at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Newark, NJ, he created the first electronic system that replicated the old- fashioned paper-based interoffice mail system (inbox, outbox, folders, address book, attachments, etc.), which he named “email.” (Read more from “Shiva Ayyadurai, the Man Who Invented Email, Seeks to Unseat Senator Elizabeth Warren in 2018” HERE)

Elizabeth Warren: A Factory of Bad Ideas

In the fallout of President Donald J. Trump’s historic victory, the Democratic Party is in a state of panic. They suffered record-breaking defeats across the country. Now they’re trying to clean up the mess caused by Hillary Clinton, a candidate who explored uncharted depths of political corruption.

One of the Democrats’ biggest problems is how their grassroots base was ignored by elites who used a complicated process of “Superdelegates” to steal the primary election from Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

Now, there’s new leadership at the Democratic National Committee. Chairman Tom Perez on a “Unity Tour” has committed himself to bringing back the “Bernie Bros” and embracing a far-left agenda. In the latest rebranding effort, the official DNC website now sells t-shirts with Perez’ vulgar words printed: “Democrats Give a S*** About People.”

Bad Ideas

But all the marketing and tacky clothing will not save them from the looming disaster known as “Elizabeth Warren.” The Massachusetts Senator, who once received more than $400,000 to teach a single class at Harvard, has made a name for herself as a shrill defender of income redistribution. Now, she is quickly emerging as the most likely 2020 Presidential candidate.

In the United State Senate, Warren has been a factory of bad ideas. She wants to raise corporate-tax rates, which scares companies out of the country. She protests crony capitalism in the financial markets, yet supports the Import-Export bank. She wants to lower student interest rates which only encourages more irresponsible borrowing. She supports taxpayer-funded, late-term abortion. She wants to raise the minimum wage to $22 per hour and have IRS prepare your taxes. The list of her bad big-government ideas is endless.

When it comes to health care, Warren is a staunch defender of Obamacare. As premiums skyrocket, conservatives in Congress are trying to negotiate a new health care law to get rid of Obamacare’s heavy-handed mandates. But Warren and her fellow Democrats are standing in the way.

Targeting the Hard of Hearing

One of the more unusual ways Warren is keeping health care expenses high involves regulating over-the-counter hearing aids. Warren has introduced a special-interest backed bill to increase FDA regulations for over-the-counter hearing devices.

The stated goal of the legislation is to “increase access” to hearing devices. But in practice, imposing new regulations on existing over-the-counter devices would restrict access to auditory health care. The bill would drastically disrupt the doctor-patient relationship.

The problems with these new, complicated regulations would be immediate and severe. For example, veterans and Medicaid patients could potentially no longer receive health coverage for doctors’ visits to diagnose and treat hearing loss, as preemption language in the bill would likely prompt insurers to drop audiology screenings and fittings. This would overrule state laws while incentivizing states to drop hearing aid and audiology coverage entirely. Then, by removing doctors from auditory health equation, it would leave the most vulnerable patients uninformed and untreated.

Elizabeth Warren: Move Over

In short, Warren’s bill does two things: drastically increases FDA regulations, and eliminates states’ rights to govern their Medicaid systems as they see fit. Why would Republicans support that?

And why is Warren so intent on pushing a bill on behalf of big corporations? Perhaps she is taking the Hillary Clinton-route by signaling to major donors that she is willing to sell-out to the highest bidder?

It seems like bizarro world on Capitol Hill. But this is a classic example of why the process of repealing and replacing Obamacare is so complicated. Americans deserve more market innovation to provide quality health coverage at lower prices. It is time for special interests and Elizabeth Warren to get out of the way. Elizabeth Warren Has It Wrong on Voter Fraud

Last week, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., penned an op-ed for The Washington Post equating loose rhetoric by a political opponent with legitimate concerns expressed by many about inadequate safeguards in our electoral system.

The op-ed is a classic sleight of hand, reducing a discussion about a topic as serious as election integrity to an ad hominem attack.

For the senator, such antics are necessary because the facts simply do not bear out the progressive position. The simple fact is that election fraud often goes undetected.

Overburdened prosecutors frequently assign vote fraud cases a low priority, particularly after an election is over. Moreover, many states lack the procedural tools necessary to detect fraud before or after it occurs.

Nonetheless, contrary to Warren’s fervent assertion that “there is literally no evidence—none, zip, zero—that widespread voter fraud is a factor in modern American elections,” Heritage Foundation research has documented literally hundreds of convictions in voter fraud cases.

And while many progressives, including the senator, quote a study purporting to indicate that voter fraud is vanishingly rare, that analysis is constricted to a single type of fraud, in-person impersonation fraud.

Many Forms of Fraud

Left out of that report are the countless other forms electoral fraud can take, from the casting of fraudulent absentee ballots, to illegal efforts by partisans to “assist” voters in filling out their ballots, to voters who habitually vote in multiple states.

The Heritage Foundation’s voter fraud database also documents massive conspiracies to buy votes, felons and noncitizens convicted of voting despite their ineligibility, and multiple elections overturned because of the sheer number of fraudulent ballots cast.

>>> Here Are 3 New Cases of Voter Fraud. Governments Must Ensure Vote Integrity as Election Day Looms.

Indeed, the senator need look no further than her own state for proof that voter fraud exists. In 2012, former state Rep. Stephen “Stat” Smith pleaded guilty to two counts of voter fraud.

Smith ran a scheme in which he obtained absentee ballots for people he knew to be ineligible to vote, even going so far as mailing in ballots on behalf of voters without their knowledge. Smith received a four-month prison sentence.

Warren denounces voter ID laws and other electoral integrity measures as being designed to “disproportionately suppress turnout by Democratic voters” or otherwise “delegitimize Democratic voters.” Yet, it is often those very voters who are the victims of election fraud.

Again looking to Massachusetts, in 2013, Enrico “Jack” Villamaino, former Republican selectman and candidate for the state House of Representatives, illegally modified the party affiliations of 280 voters, changing them from registered Democrats to “unenrolled” voters.

He schemed to request absentee ballots in their names to guarantee himself additional votes in the 2012 Republican primary while denying them the right to participate in the Democratic primary. Villamaino pleaded guilty to multiple felony charges and served four months in prison.

A few months ago, the results of a Democratic primary for Missouri’s 78th House District were thrown out because of widespread absentee ballot fraud. The incumbent, Penny Hubbard, lost the in-person vote in the first election, but won based on the lopsided support she seemingly enjoyed among absentee voters.

However, upon closer examination, it turned out that many of the absentee ballots were improperly recorded. A judge ordered a redo, and Hubbard’s Democratic challenger defeated her by a whopping 1,533 votes.

Election Integrity

At the end of the day, this is what the issue of electoral integrity is all about—ensuring that every legitimate vote cast is counted, and that elections accurately reflect the will of those voters. After all, every illegitimate ballot negates a legitimately cast vote.

To that end, states must put in place reasonable safeguards to ensure that only legitimate voters are able to cast ballots, while not unreasonably burdening eligible citizens seeking to exercise their rights.

In 2008, in Crawford v. Marion County Election Board, the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of Indiana’s voter identification law, concluding that requiring photo identification to vote is not an unreasonably burdensome requirement.

The majority opinion was written by Justice John Paul Stevens. Although long recognized as one of the more liberal members of the Court, Stevens spent many years practicing law in Chicago, a city with a rich tradition of voter fraud.

But one does not need to read Supreme Court opinions to see that voter ID laws are hardly as burdensome as many activists claim. Common sense will do.

Our society requires the presentation of photo identification to buy alcohol, board a plane, get a prescription, drive a car, enter a bar during evening hours, and obtain a meeting with some of the very same politicians who today denounce photo ID laws as unduly burdensome or racially discriminatory.

Commonsense Solutions

Common sense will not stop activists, however. Adverse opinions in cases out of Texas, North Carolina, and Wisconsin overturned photo ID laws and other election measures, denouncing them as racially motivated.

Yet, as Heritage senior legal fellow Hans von Spakovsky points out, in the Texas and North Carolina cases, the challengers could not identify a single disenfranchised minority voter.

In the Texas case, 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Edith Jones penned a powerful dissent, noting that the “multi-thousand-page record yields not a trace, much less a legitimate inference, of racial bias by the Texas Legislature.” The majority opinion, according to Jones, “misconstrues the law, misapplies the facts, and raises serious constitutional questions.”

Progressives smell blood in the water, and will continue their legal barrage anywhere that reasonable efforts to secure the vote have been enacted. The future integrity of our elections—the very core of our democracy—may hinge on who fills the Supreme Court vacancy left by the late Antonin Scalia.

It’s long past time to acknowledge that voter fraud is a real, nonpartisan issue, and take sensible measures to secure the ballot box. (For more from the author of “Elizabeth Warren Has It Wrong on Voter Fraud” please click HERE)

Video: Scott Brown Staffers Do Indian “War Whoops, Tomahawk Chops” in Confrontation with Warren Supporters

Making fun of Elizabeth Warren’s supposed Native American ancestry, Scott Brown supporters do Indian “war whoops” and “tomahawk chops” in a demonstration across from Warren supporters:
