Backlash as Holocaust Museum Features George Floyd Exhibit

In a shocking parallel, a Florida-based Holocaust museum now features an exhibit commemorating George Floyd, a black man who died after being restrained by Minneapolis police officers in May and whose death set off a series of violent riots throughout the US.

In a tribute to Floyd, the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center introduced a new exhibit earlier this month titled “Uprooting Prejudice: Faces of Change.”

The exhibit is intended to “showcase significant events in history and how they are relevant to us today.” . . .

Backlash at the parallels and the very notion of hosting such an exhibit at a Holocaust memorial museum soon followed.

WATCH: New ‘Absolutely Shocking’ Evidence Presented in the George Floyd Case

By Townhall. Attorneys for former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin are requesting the dismissal of murder and manslaughter charges against him for the death of George Floyd. They’re using the police training manual as justification.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department training manual, officers are shown how to subdue violent or resisting suspects by placing their knee on the neck.

Analysts and attorneys at Court TV explain. It’s worth a full watch:

“From coast-to-coast everyone, absolutely outraged, especially by that fact, the knee on the neck. Well, guess what folks, take a look at what you’re looking at right here. That is from the police training manual,” attorney and host Vinnie Politan said. “Where this all comes from is from a motion to dismiss. A motion to dismiss that was filed by Derek Chauvin’s attorneys saying that the knee on the neck is part of his training as a Minneapolis police officer. And there we see it in the manual on the left and on the right is what we all have seen in the video of Officer Chauvin. So, is this a game-changer?”

“This one is absolutely shocking. I mean, this is what the whole story is about. This is what outraged millions and millions of people, this is what caused the protests. It was the knee on the neck…and now the defense is saying dismiss the charges because the knee on the neck is right there in the police training manual,” he continued. Judge Declines to Consider Dismissing Charges Against Chattanooga’s George Floyd Protesters

By Chattanooga Free Times Press. A Hamilton County General Sessions judge during a scheduling hearing Tuesday declined to entertain the prospect of dismissing charges against a group of local George Floyd protesters before he’s had a chance to hear the evidence against them.

Members of the small group of protesters, led by Marie Mott and Cameron “C-Grimey” Williams, face multiple charges stemming from two separate July incidents: the burning of a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office flag and the blocking of an emergency vehicle.

On Tuesday afternoon, Judge Gary Starnes ordered the preliminary hearing to be moved to Oct. 8 so that all of the cases could be handled on one day. (Read more from “Judge Declines to Consider Dismissing Charges Against Chattanooga’s George Floyd Protesters” HERE)

WATCH: Police Bodycam Footage of George Floyd Arrest Leaked

Portions of body-camera footage showing the deadly arrest of George Floyd while in custody of Minneapolis police were leaked and published Monday, despite recording and public distribution of the videos being prohibited. . .

But The Daily Mail said it exclusively obtained the May 25 footage from the body cameras of former rookie officers Thomas Lane and J Alexander Kueng. The video shows about 18 minutes from Kueng’s body cam and 10 minutes from Lane’s.

The pair were the first to arrive at the Cup Foods convenience store after a complaint that Floyd allegedly tried to pass off a fake $20 bill. Video shot by bystanders showing an officer pinning his knee into Floyd’s next for nearly nine minutes before his death sparked global outrage and unleashed a wave of protests against police brutality and racial injustice that still continues. . .

The Daily Mail videos appear to have been recorded on a device while being played on a laptop. The Star Tribune said the courts have provided laptops to view the footage and require attendees to put away their personal electronic devices during viewing sessions.

A coalition of media organizations is challenging the viewing restrictions, arguing the videos should be made available to the public. In July, attorney Earl Gray, who represents Lane, filed a motion to dismiss the charges against his client, citing the videos as evidence. Police Body-Cam Footage of George Floyd’s Arrest Released

Body-camera footage from two Minneapolis police officers involved in George Floyd’s deadly arrest were made public Wednesday, documenting the critical moments leading up to his death as he pleaded with officers to let him go.

“I’m not a bad guy!” Floyd said as he struggled with officers in the presence of onlookers. One bystander tells Floyd, “You can’t win.”

“I don’t want to win,” Floyd replies. . .

The footage shows the officers approaching Floyd outside a convenience store, where he was accused of trying to pass off a counterfeit $20 bill. When he didn’t display his hands, Lane pulls his weapon, causing Floyd to say he had been shot before.

Floyd is handcuffed but pleads with the officers not to put him in a squad car because of his claustrophobia. He winds up on the ground during a struggle while the officers attempt to hold him down. (Read more from “Police Body-Cam Footage of George Floyd’s Arrest Released” HERE)

Cop Charged George Floyd’s Death Released on $750K Bond

A former Minneapolis police officer charged in the killing of George Floyd has been released from jail, according to Hennepin County jail records.

Tou Thao, age 34, is the third former officer accused in Floyd’s death to be released on bond. He posted $750,000 bond on Saturday, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported. All four officers on the scene of Floyd’s death have been fired and face criminal charges.

Floyd, who was Black and handcuffed, died May 25 while being arrested. A white police officer used his knee to pin Floyd’s neck for nearly eight minutes as Floyd begged for air and eventually stopped moving. Besides the charges against the officers, Floyd’s death led to worldwide protests over police brutality and racial injustice. Britain’s Highest Honor Under Attack for Depiction of St. Michael Standing on Satan’s Neck

The highest honor in Britain, personally bestowed on recipients by the Queen of England, has come under fire over accusations of racism and resemblance to the killing of George Floyd.

The Queen of England traditionally bestows the Order of St. Michael and St. George on ambassadors, diplomats, or senior foreign officials, The Guardian reports. The award’s badge has a traditional Christian image of the angel St. Michael victoriously standing on Satan with the motto: Auspicium melioris ævi, which is Latin for “Omen of a better age.” . . .

But a Change.org petition is now calling for the image to be removed following the death of Floyd, a black man who died after a Minneapolis police officer knelt on his neck for several minutes, video of the incident showed. Derek Chauvin, the officer, has been fired and arrested on second-degree murder and manslaughter charges.

Those who created the “Change the racist image on the KCMG medal” petition say the image reminds them of Floyd’s killing.

“The image on the Honorary Knights/Dames Commander (KCMG/DCMG) star is a white skinned angel stood on the head/neck of a black skinned devil,” the petition says. “This is a highly offensive image, it is also reminiscent of the recent murder of George Floyd by the white policeman in the same manner presented here in this medal.” (Read more from “Britain’s Highest Honor Under Attack for Depiction of St. Michael Standing on Satan’s Neck” HERE)

The Media Are Lying To You About Everything, Including The Riots; NYPD Releases Video of Cops Being Assaulted During George Floyd Riots; Tucker Takes You Inside America’s Newest Neighbor: CHOP

By The Federalist. It seems no great event or upheaval in our national life can pass now without the media lying to our faces about it.

They lied about the Trump campaign colluding with Russia in 2016. They lied about the Mueller probe and Brett Kavanaugh and former national security adviser Mike Flynn. They lied about Trump’s phone call with the Ukrainian president and the impeachment farce that ensued. They lied about the coronavirus and the lockdowns and the White House response. And now they’re lying about the riots.

In recent days we’ve heard a steady drumbeat of lies, distortions, and disingenuousness from the mainstream media about almost every aspect of the unrest now gripping American cities. The deceit is almost too pervasive and amorphous to describe, but I’m going to try anyway.

Over the weekend we were told, for example, that the looting and violence was being instigated not by left-wing anarchists and antifa groups but by the media’s favorite villains: white supremacists. CNN, whose Atlanta offices were vandalized Friday, went on and on—without a shred of evidence to back it up—about how white supremacists might be infiltrating the protests and stirring up trouble. The New York Times, in a report that even quoted a senior police official in New York City saying outside anarchist groups were coordinating mayhem before the protests began, nevertheless veered into a long aside about how far-right “accelerationists” were hoping the unrest would bring about a long-sought second civil war.

By Monday, no one was talking about the white supremacist agitators anymore. The media had moved on to better, more plausible lies. (Read more from “The Media Are Lying To You About Everything, Including The Riots” HERE)

NYPD Releases Video of Cops Being Assaulted During George Floyd Riots

By New York Post. The NYPD’s chief of detectives, Rodney Harrison, released a video Wednesday of several assaults on officers during the recent unrest in the city amid protests over the death of George Floyd.

The clip, which Harrison tweeted, shows at least five instances of officers being attacked during the mayhem.

Two cops could be seen in separate incidents getting hit from behind by unknown objects.

Two more officers were struck by flying objects, including an orange traffic cone.

George Floyd’s Brother Opposes the ‘Defund the Police’ Movement, Will He Get Canceled?

Many on left are calling for the defunding of police in the wake of George Floyd’s death, but Philonise Floyd, the brother of George Floyd, says that is not the answer. On Sunday, he told Fox News’ Arthel Neville that police officers can do their jobs “and still maintain respect for others.”

“What I would like is for all police around America to get their jobs and do them the right way, the correct way,” Philonise Floyd said on America’s News HQ. “Innocent people shouldn’t have to die.” . . .

Benjamin Crump, the Floyd family attorney, made a point to explain that the push to defund the police is not coming from the Floyd family or anyone connected to them.

“We want to try to work to say we need to do restructuring and we need to work together and in concert to try to solve this problem,” Crump told Neville. “This is not a black problem. This is not a white problem. This is an American problem, and the only way we can heal this country is by working together.”

Earlier this month, Terrance Floyd, the younger brother of George Floyd, condemned the rioting that’s happening nationwide in his brother’s name, and said the riots and violent protests were “overshadowing” his brother’s memory. “They may call it unity, but it’s destructive unity.” George, he said, “would want us to seek justice” but would want people to channel their anger “another way.” (Read more from “George Floyd’s Brother Opposes the ‘Defund the Police’ Movement, Will He Get Canceled?” HERE)

Seattle’s Autonomous Zone: Retry All Non-White Violent Convicts With Non-White Jurors

Seattle, Washington’s, Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) is demanding all non-white violent convicted criminals in prison be released and retried in court by non-white jurors only.

CHAZ, formed by anarchists, Antifa members, and Black Lives Matter activists, has released a list of demands that seeks to defund the Seattle Police Department and use the money to retry non-white convicts, provide unrestricted voting rights to inmates, and expunge the records of convicted marijuana traffickers.

“We demand a retrial of all People in Color currently serving a prison sentence for violent crime, by a jury of their peers in their community,” CHAZ organizers write.

Such a policy would mean that all non-white violent convicted criminals have their existing convictions and sentences expunged and be given new trials with non-white only jurors. (Read more from “Seattle’s Autonomous Zone: Retry All Non-White Violent Convicts With Non-White Jurors” HERE)

Biden: George Floyd’s Death Bigger Than MLK Assassination (VIDEO)

During a round table in Philadelphia on Wednesday, Joe Biden claimed the death of George Floyd was bigger than the assassination of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

“Even Dr. King’s assassination did not have the worldwide impact that George Floyd’s death did,” Biden said with a mask dangling from his ear.

“Because just like television changed the civil rights movement for the better when they saw Bull Connor’s dogs ripping the clothes off of elderly black women who were trying to go to church, and fire hoses ripping the skin off of young kids,” he said.
