White House: Trump’s National Guard ‘Surge’ Allowed George Floyd Protesters to ‘Demonstrate Safely’

Trump administration officials told the Daily Caller that President Donald Trump’s deployment of the National Guard in Washington, D.C. ensured that the protests in the nation’s capital over the weekend of June 6 and 7 were dramatically more peaceful than those that took place the weekend prior.

Senior White House officials told the Daily Caller that the protests, in both the District and cities across the country, didn’t “spontaneously” turn peaceful overnight and attributed the “decisive” deescalation to coordination between local law enforcement and National Guard troops.

“Juxtapose Washington, D.C. two weekends ago, when there was widespread vandalism, property damage, and arson with this past weekend,” White House director of strategic communications Alyssa Farrah told the Daily Caller. “It was night and day.”

“The streets of America didn’t spontaneously become peaceful last week,” she continued. “It was a direct result of President Trump calling on Governors and Mayors to surge the National Guard in their states and restore law and order on America’s streets so that peaceful protestors could demonstrate safely. That is precisely because President Trump took decisive action to secure the streets of our Nation’s Capital and restore law and order.” (Read more from “White House: Trump’s National Guard ‘Surge’ Allowed George Floyd Protesters to ‘Demonstrate Safely’” HERE)

WATCH: Black Conservatives Reject Media’s Racism, Victimhood Narratives

Prominent black conservatives are seeing how the mainstream media are using the death of George Floyd — to portray America as racist, to vilify all police officers, to force the mantle of victimhood onto black Americans — and they are calling foul.

Notable figures including Candace Owens, Rob Smith, Terrence K. Williams, and Keith and Kevin Hodge are rejecting the roles that Democrat politicians and establishment journalists have assigned to black Americans in the wake of the protests and violent riots that have paralyzed major cities during the last seven days.

For their decision to speak out, they are being called “Uncle Tom’s,” “coons,” and white supremacists by left-wingers. . .

The violence has angered black conservatives, who are faulting #BlackLivesMatter organizers for failing to control or condemn the mayhem. Breitbart News reported on one Washington, D.C. resident who expressed her disgust with the movement during a protest on Sunday.

“Black Lives Matter is a joke. You are the racists,” said Nestride Yumga, an American citizen originally from Africa.

De Blasio Booed off Stage, Protesters Turn Their Backs at George Floyd Rally; NYPD ‘Is Losing the City of New York’

By New York Post. Mayor Bill de Blasio was shouted down with boos and shouts of “F— you, de Blasio” when he tried to take the podium at a George Floyd protest in Brooklyn on Thursday.

“F— the mayor’s curfew!” some shouted. “Turn your back! Turn your back!” others shouted. Many in the crowd did turn their backs.

“Shut the f— up!” protesters shouted.

The heckling was so intense, the mayor kept his remarks under five minutes, and then was no longer seen on the stage. . .

The crowd turning their backs on de Blasio comes after police have repeatedly turned their backs on the mayor at funerals for slain officers. (Read more from “De Blasio Booed off Stage, Protesters Turn Their Backs at George Floyd Rally” HERE)

Police Union Boss Says ‘NYPD Is Losing the City of New York,’ Begs Cuomo, Trump to Send Reinforcements

By Fox News. The head of a prominent New York City police union told “The Ingraham Angle” Tuesday that President Trump should consider sending federal personnel to prevent more rioting and looting in America’s biggest city.

“NYPD is losing the city of New York and we have no leadership in the city of New York right now, from City Hall to the brass of the NYPD,” New York Sergeants Benevolent Association President Ed Mullins told Laura Ingraham. “The men and women are being pelted with rocks, bricks, cars [are] lit on fire. And this is continuous. We have a curfew that’s been implemented tonight at eight o’clock and everyone is still out rioting in the streets in New York.”

“President Trump is watching it. I am asking the president to please, please immediately send federal personnel to New York City and monitor what is going on,” Mullins said. “If Governor Cuomo does not implement the National Guard immediately, then the federal government is going to have to step in.”

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced earlier Tuesday that an 8 p.m. curfew for the city will be extended through the end of the week following another night of looting, destruction and “vicious attacks on police officers.”

Mullins told Ingraham that the NYPD was “more than capable” of handling the unrest, but added that local leaders have held them back. (Read more from “Police Union Boss Says ‘NYPD Is Losing the City of New York,’ Begs Cuomo, Trump to Send Reinforcements” HERE)

LEGO Stops Marketing Police-Themed Toys

Toy company Lego requested Tuesday that marketing affiliates immediately cease advertising several of its law enforcement-related products and to even pull them from websites “in light of recent events,” as protests rage nationwide over the death of George Floyd. . .

In an email obtained by The Toybook trade magazine sent on behalf of the Danish company, affiliated partners were notified that “In light of recent events, LEGO has requested the below products to be removed from sites and any marketing ASAP.” . . .

More than 30 products were on the list, with a large majority containing the word “Police” in the name, including the Police Station, Police Patrol Car, Police Helicopter Transport, and even the Donut Shop Opening — which, according to The Toybook, “includes Police Officer ‘Duke DeTain’ and ‘Crook’ minifigures.”

Lego responded to The Toybook’s request for comment on the email, saying in a statement: “We requested that our affiliate partners refrain from posting promotional LEGO content as part of our decision to respect #BlackOutTuesday and pause posting content on our social media channels in response to the tragic events in the US. We regret any misunderstanding and will ensure that we are clearer about our intentions in the future.” (Read more from “LEGO Stops Marketing Police-Themed Toys” HERE)

3 More Ex-Cops Charged in George Floyd’s Death and Derek Chauvin Faces New Murder Charge

Three more former police officers who were involved in the arrest of George Floyd in Minneapolis have been charged in connection to his death, and the officer who pressed a knee to Floyd’s neck faces a new charge of second-degree murder, according to court documents.

The three additional officers — Thomas Lane, Tou Thao and J. Alexander Kueng — have been charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. All four officers have been fired.

Derek Chauvin, 44, was charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter in Floyd’s death last week. Chauvin pressed his knee on Floyd’s neck for more than eight minutes, including two minutes in which Floyd was unresponsive, according to prosecutors. The bail for each officer has been set at $1 million.

“I strongly believe that these developments are in the interest of justice for Mr. Floyd, his family, our community and our state,” Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison said when announcing the new charges Wednesday.

Floyd’s death has ignited anti-police brutality protests across the nation. Charges against the three other officers on the scene have been a key demand of demonstrators in Minneapolis and elsewhere. Ellison said the sweeping protests across the country did not play a factor in the decision to charge the former officers. NEW AMERICA: Cops Get Punished for Self-Defense; Rioters Set Free

George Floyd’s family is getting swift justice against the cop who killed him by all levels of the Minnesota justice system. Now who will deliver justice for the American citizens, including cops, beaten and killed and all the damaged property and disruptions? Well, prosecutors in major cities are now dropping charges even against the few rioters arrested, while pressing charges against cops involved in very dangerous self-defense situations.

David Dorn was a retired cop, with the St. Louis police department for 38 years. He was helping his friend defend his pawn shop when he was shot dead on the sidewalk Monday night by rioters. Dorn was African-American. Police currently have no suspects. His family will likely never see justice.

Where are the “legitimate grievances” to “protest” in his memory and push a narrative of systemic injustice against victims of crime that is much more systemic than police brutality? Where is all the fawning media coverage over this man?

David Underwood, another African-American law enforcement officer, was killed in a drive-by shooting protecting a courthouse in Oakland. Still no justice there.

Four other active-duty police were shot in St. Louis that night. No justice so far.

Three officers were run over in Buffalo, New York, one NYPD officer run over in the Bronx, and another run over in Greenwich Village.

A Las Vegas cop was shot in the head and is on life support.

Hundreds of cops have been injured because, contrary to the allegation of systemic police brutality, they risk their by using underwhelming force or waiting too long to deter the rioters.

What about the looters and arsonists?

D.C. police arrested 106 rioters from Friday through Monday, but the local prosecutor dropped most of the charges.

More than 400 looters in New York City were arrested, but most will be released without bail. One woman who tossed a Molotov cocktail inside a police van was merely charged with damaging property rather than attempted murder.

In Dallas, County Judge Clay Jenkins said he “fully support[ed] not booking them [the rioters].” According to the Dallas News, it was only “after reports began circulating that District Attorney John Creuzot was urging police to let the protesters go,” the DA put out a statement walking it back.

The twisted irony of these riots is that they were justified as a pursuit of justice after justice was well on its way to being served in Minneapolis, yet the protests have spawned even more death and beatings, lootings, and destruction – most of which will go 100% unpunished. Thousands of criminals are committing acts that in any other time would land them in prison for quite some time and are getting off free.

At the same time that people can riot with impunity, cops thrust into impossible situations are being fired or even threatened with prosecution. New York Mayor de Blasio called on one cop to be fired for drawing his weapon when in fact he was defending his supervisor, after the supervisor was hit squarely in the head by a brick thrown by one of the righteous protesters. Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez solicited the public to send him videos of police brutality at a time when rioters are tearing apart the city and police are placed in an impossible situation.

Thanks to government tyranny and maleficent lockdowns (now proven to be a lie by the mass gatherings), the Federal Reserve of Atlanta is projecting an unfathomable 52 percent annualized decline in GDP for the second quarter. At a time when we need to get businesses turbo-charged, nearly every business in a major city is either destroyed or unable to function properly. We have become a failed state as our government has declined to do its core job while illegally violating civil rights of business owners.

It’s the ultimate demonstration of victimizing criminals while criminalizing victims. How in the world can this be justified? As New York Mayor de Blasio told one local reporter who asked why mass riots are allowed but prayer services are prohibited, “When you see a nation, an entire nation, simultaneously grappling with extraordinary crisis seeded in 400 years of American racism, I’m sorry, that is not the same question as the understandably aggrieved store owner or the devout religious person who wants to go back to services.”

Clearly, this country is not big enough for competing views of morality that are so far apart. (For more from the author of “New America: Cops Get Punished for Self-Defense; Rioters Set Free” please click HERE)

Apple Warns Looters With Stolen Iphones: You Are Being Tracked

By Forbes. . .Apple stores were attacked or damaged in Washington D.C., Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York and Philadelphia, with looters stealing whatever products were accessible at the time. But this being Apple, there is a sting in the tail for anyone stealing a boxed iPhone from one of those retail stores.

It has long been known that Apple operates some form of proximity software that disables a device when it is taken illegally from a store. Until now, though, little had been seen of that technology in action. Well, thanks to social media, we can now see the message that greets a looter powering up their new device: “This device has been disabled and is being tracked,” it says. “Local authorities will be alerted.”

WATCH: Rioters Threaten Man They Kicked in the Head – ‘Do Not Protest Against Black Lives’; Unrest Emerges in Neighborhoods, Suburbs Beyond City Centers

By PJ Media. Portland’s Professional Protesters™ were out in force on Saturday night in a planned protest-turned-riot to “honor” George Floyd who died while in police custody last week in Minneapolis. In other words, it was a familiar scene in this Pacific Northwest City, where laid back Friday-at-4-drum circles have long since given way to antifa violence. . .

We come into the video after the victim of this horrific attack, who admitted taking a swing at a Black Lives Matter or antifa protester, was beaten in retaliation by protesters.

He was chased, knocked over and kicked in the head. He had at least one tooth kicked out of his head. The sound of the shoe hitting his skull is sickening.

Unrest Emerges in Neighborhoods, Suburbs Beyond City Centers

By AP News. As officials locked down city centers due to protests and violent unrest over police brutality, trouble has emerged in some neighborhoods and suburbs, leaving communities that felt insulated from the early unrest suddenly vulnerable and fearful.

Many city and suburban officials blamed most of the mayhem on opportunists rather than those protesting the killing of George Floyd, a handcuffed black man who pleaded for air as a white Minneapolis police officer pressed a knee against his neck.

More than 100 people converged on an outdoor mall in Walnut Creek, a wealthy San Francisco suburb, carrying away garbage bags stuffed with merchandise. Video from news organizations and bystanders showed women hauling pricey purses out of stores. One woman was shot in the arm by someone in a vehicle that sped from the scene, police said. WATCH: Rioters Set Historic Church Ablaze Near the White House; President Trump Mobilizes U.S. Military to End Unprecedented Riots; 82nd Airborne Division’s Immediate Response Force Headed to D.C.

By Townhall. The mayhem in D.C., it seems, began in full force at Lafayette Park, not far from the White House. Demonstrators jumped the gated barrier, forcing park police to move forward and try to push individuals back.

The night only devolved from there. One of the most devastating scenes of destruction in D.C. has to be the fire at St. John’s Episcopal Church on H Street, which has stood in D.C. since 1816. Just how historic is it? Every president since James Madison has worshipped there at some point. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1960. But rioters, it appears, lit the church on fire Sunday, and the inferno was captured on camera by Fox News reporter Kevin Corke.

Trump Mobilizes U.S. Military to End Unprecedented Riots

By New York Post. President Trump on Monday invoked a law from 1807 allowing him to send military forces to states rocked by unrest over the death of George Floyd in a sudden White House Rose Garden address interrupted by the sounds of protestors being cleared out by police nearby.

“We cannot allow the righteous cries of peaceful protesters to be drowned out by an angry mob,” Trump said, declaring himself the “president of law and order” while blaming extremist groups such as Antifa for the unrest.

“I am mobilizing all available federal resources, civilian and military, to stop rioting and looting, to end the destruction,” he said, immediately mobilizing the Insurrection Act of 1807, which allows him to deploy troops anywhere across the nation.

It was last used in 1992, by President George H.W. Bush to quell the LA riots, which were sparked by the police beating of Rodney King.

“If a city or state refuses to take the actions that are necessary to defend the life and property of their residents, then I will deploy the United States military and quickly solve the problem for them,” Trump said of the act. 82nd Airborne Division’s Immediate Response Force Headed to D.C. Amid Riots

By Breitbart. The Pentagon has ordered the 82nd Airborne Division’s Immediate Response Force to deploy to the D.C.-area amid rioting across the nation, according to multiple sources on background.

The force is the same one that deployed earlier this year to quell violent Iran-backed protests in Iraq. Sources told Breitbart News earlier on Monday that the forces were preparing their gear to deploy, but Pentagon officials would not confirm.

A source also told Breitbart News that the 16th Military Police Brigade from Fort Bragg was also headed to D.C.

The deployments to D.C. comes after rioters looted stores, defaced national monuments, and burned a historic church a block from the White House.

Trump during a press conference on Monday announced he was dispatching military units in response to the riots.

WATCH: George Floyd’s Son Calls for End to Violence; Trump: ‘Angry Mob’ Must Not Drown out ‘Righteous Cries of Peaceful Protesters’

By Jarrett Stepman. The death of a black man, George Floyd, at the hands of a white police officer in Minneapolis on May 25 has sparked protests around the country. It was an ugly incident and appeared to be a terrible injustice.

Regrettably, we’re now seeing violence and riots occurring in big cities across the country, in which public and private property is being destroyed and other people have been injured or killed. . .

“Tearing up things, it’s not going to solve anything,” Floyd’s son, Quincy Mason Floyd, said, according to Chicago’s WGN-TV. “My dad is in peace, and we have to be the ones to deal with all this stress. It’s going to be tough to get over this day by day.” . . .

Again, it’s important to note that Floyd’s family—those most affected by his death—have been aggressively urging people to avoid violence.

Floyd’s younger brother, Terrence Floyd, has been pleading with protesters to avoid what’s become violence and mayhem in many of America’s cities. (Read more from “George Floyd’s Son Calls for End to Violence” HERE)

Trump: ‘Angry Mob’ Must Not Drown out ‘Righteous Cries of Peaceful Protesters’

By Fred Lucas. President Donald Trump announced the deployment of the military to help quell the violent riots in Washington, D.C., and said he would send federal troops to states to restore order if governors didn’t act. . .

The president also spoke about the need for justice after the police killing of George Floyd, 46, during his arrest in Minneapolis on Memorial Day evening.

In response to Floyd’s death, peaceful protests in Minneapolis turned to violent riots, which spread across the United States, even as peaceful protests also continued.

“All Americans were rightly sickened and revolted by the brutal death of George Floyd,” said Trump, who spoke last week with Floyd’s family members. “My administration is committed that for George Floyd and his family, justice will be served. He will not have died in vain.”

. . .“We cannot allow the righteous cries of peaceful protesters to be drowned out by an angry mob,” Trump said. (Read more from “Trump: ‘Angry Mob’ Must Not Drown out ‘Righteous Cries of Peaceful Protesters’” HERE)
