Elon Musk had an affair with the wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, according to a new report. The extramarital affair allegedly caused the couple to get divorced and ended a long friendship between the two tech billionaires.

The Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday that Musk “engaged in a brief affair” with Brin’s wife in December, citing people familiar with the situation. The reported affair between Musk and Nicole Shanahan began during the Art Basel art show in Miami last December.

The alleged affair took place around the same time that Musk broke up with singer Claire Elise Boucher – best known as her stage name Grimes. Musk had two children with Grimes, including a daughter who was born via a surrogate in the same month as the alleged affair.

The month prior to the affair, Musk had twins with Shivon Zilis – a senior executive at Musk’s Neuralink company. In all, Musk has fathered 10 children with three women. One of his children who he had with Canadian author Justine Wilson died of sudden infant death syndrome at 10 weeks old in 2002.

At the time of the affair, Brin and Shanahan were separated but still living together. The couple allegedly were having issues revolving around COVID-19 and caring for their toddler daughter. Google ‘Infiltrated by Religious Cult,’ Ex-Employee Claims in Lawsuit

Google has been accused of employing a large number of people belonging to an unusual religious group in California. The Fellowship of Friends is a group that believes most of us are living in a state of “waking sleep.”

According to the New York Times, the Fellowship of Friends is a “cult-like religious sect” that’s infiltrated Google. The group has reportedly gained a powerful position at the tech giant and has started to hire more members of the “cult-like sect.” The New York Times says the takeover has been happening for years. . .

The group is also known as Living Presence and the Fourth Way School. It has faced multiple damning accusations in the past and the new lawsuit accuses it of having a history of sex trafficking.

Big Tech Censoring of Ukraine War Goes Into Hyperdrive

Google has sent a warning shot across the world, ominously informing media outlets, bloggers, and content creators that it will no longer tolerate certain opinions when it comes to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

[In April], Google AdSense sent a message to a myriad of publishers, including [this article’s original publisher,] MintPress News, informing us that, “Due to the war in Ukraine, we will pause monetization of content that exploits, dismisses, or condones the war.” This content, it went on to say, “includes, but is not limited to, claims that imply victims are responsible for their own tragedy or similar instances of victim-blaming, such as claims that Ukraine is committing genocide or deliberately attacking its own citizens.”

This builds on a similar message Google’s subsidiary YouTube released [in March], stating, “Our Community Guidelines prohibit content denying, minimizing or trivializing well-documented violent events. We are now removing content about Russia’s invasion in Ukraine that violates this policy.” YouTube went on to say that it had already permanently banned more than a thousand channels and 15,000 videos on these grounds. . .

Journalist and filmmaker Abby Martin was deeply troubled by the news. “It is really disturbing that this is the trend that we are on” . . .

[And journalist Chris Hedges wrote,] “Censorship is the last resort of desperate and unpopular regimes. It magically appears to make a crisis go away. Not Woke Enough: Google Sued by Black Employees for ‘Racism’

Despite its status as one of the wokest companies in the world, including maintaining an official program to inject critical race theory into the field of programming, tech giant Google is facing a major lawsuit alleging it discriminates against black employees. . .

April Curley, 34, began working for Google in 2014 but was fired in September 2020.

On Friday, she said managers at the search engine company actively thwarted their career ambitions — steering them to lower-level jobs, paying them less and denying them opportunities to advance because of their race.

‘While Google claims that they were looking to increase diversity, they were actually undervaluing, underpaying and mistreating their black employees,’ said Ben Crump, Curley’s lawyer Never Enough: Woke Google Sued by Black Employees for ‘Racism’ a high-profile civil rights advocate who has represented the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery, among others.

Google Now Censoring ‘Facts’ on 2024 Presidential Election

A website is reporting that Google has attacked one of its articles and tried to censor it “for no other reason than that it doesn’t like the facts being reported.”

The details of the situation come from the I&I website, which is the Issues & Insights home.

The site officials said they noticed the problem because Google’s AdSense ad network had been withdrawn from an article.

“What was the violation? According to Google, the article contained ‘unreliable and harmful information.’ What does that mean?” the site asked, citing the online giant’s demands that forbid content that “makes claims that are demonstrably false and could significantly undermine participation or trust in an electoral or democratic process.”

DuckDuckGo Is Now Censoring

I would not use Google; it’s both censorware and spyware. And I would not trust Bing, or Yahoo, which is powered by Bing, for the same reason. Such reasoning is why many of us switched to DuckDuckGo in the last few years, despite the fact that Bing is one of their sources. In addition to supporting user privacy, when I switched, they seemed to be of decent quality and, importantly, not to be censored.

Unfortunately, that seems to have changed. Read this from DDG’s CEO:

Very well, now DuckDuckGo’s CEO has as good as declared that they, too, have been censoring their results (I’ve been wondering, frankly) and as a company are not afraid to announce censorship policies.

Now, let’s be clear. I have no issues with search engines using a wide variety of methods of determining the most relevant and useful search results. A search engine need not be strictly a popularity contest, for example, a la Google. But when a search engine specifically declares that it will censor (yes, down-ranking is a kind of censorship) “sites associated with Russian disinformation”, that signals that they have set themselves up to be arbiters of what counts as political “disinformation.” That is not a role I want a search engine to play; as a conservatarian, I would not even want a search engine to weed out left-wing establishment views from results, because I want to know what those people are saying, too. Google Is Now Censoring American Journalists on Behalf of Communist China

YouTube and its parent company Google targeted a video about the suspicious disappearance of Chinese tennis star Peng Shuai by journalists Saagar Enjeti and Krystal Ball on Thursday, in a continuation of the tech company’s running interference for communist China.

In a 10-minute “Breaking Points” video titled “Chinese Tennis Star VANISHES After Rape Accusation,” Enjeti and Ball discuss Shuai’s allegations that China’s former Vice-Premier Zhang Gaoli sexually assaulted her. “After she posted that, overnight, she was disappeared from the Chinese social media,” Enjeti says in the video.

Enjeti also noted that a Chinese state media outlet had released a statement purported to be from Shuai, denying the allegations and insisting, “I’m not missing” and “everything is fine.”

“I hope to promote Chinese tennis with you all if I have a chance in the future,” the statement continued. Enjeti said the statement only increased concerns of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) about Shuai’s statements.

“Reports are that if you even post about her or about this official or even say things like ‘tennis’ on … their version of Twitter, then that will be censored and blocked,” Ball added, noting that Shuai’s original post alleging the assault was taken down by Chinese censors within 30 minutes.

The second person to the left appears to be a red-headed man wearing what appears to be a dark-blue dress with white polka dots and a short purple sweater. The character is wearing a white Marine Corps. hat and a blue uniform on the left side.

The image includes an Air-Force Pilot-turned-painter, Marine-turned-teacher, Navy seaman-turned-businessman, Coast-guardsman-turned-doctor, an Army soldier-turned-amputee-biker and a Space Force Guardsman-turned-baker, according to the Ledger Inquirer.

Army Veteran Designed Google Veterans Day Doodle

By The Ledger-Enquirer. A Columbus artist and Army veteran’s design will be seen by millions of users this Veterans Day.

Steve Tette, a 2010 and 2013 graduate of Columbus State University’s art education program, was chosen to design the “Google Doodle” for Veterans Day, according to a news release from CSU. Tette spent 20 years serving in the Army before retiring and pursuing art. . .

Google, YouTube To Prohibit Ads From Content That Questions Global Warming

Google and YouTube announced that they will take measures to strip online content of revenue producing opportunities if they express skepticism about global warming.

In a statement from Google’s ad team on Thursday, the massive online company said they would deny ad revenue from content that contradicts “well-established scientific consensus around the existence and causes of climate change.”

Google says the new policy is in response to advertisers expressing frustration that their ads are appearing on content they disagree with.

Google’s Methods for Spying on Employees Revealed in Report

Google keeps a close eye on its employees through a number of tracking mechanisms when they engage in certain online activities, according to a new report.

The tech giant zeroes in on employees who might be considering leaving out of fear they might access or leak sensitive material, according to reporting by The Information. Company security flags those workers by checking who has researched the cost of COBRA health insurance, drafted resignation letters, or searched for an internal checklist for those wanting to leave the company.

Most unusually, Google’s security staff has raised alarms when employees take screenshots on their work devices when running an encrypted messaging platform at the same time or use non-Google online storage services, according to the report .

Google has been sued in the past year by an employee who claimed the tech giant has secretly viewed his online communications and is using it against him, and earlier this year, it terminated employees who allegedly accessed highly confidential company information.
