Sanders Attacks Hillary, Says She’s Running a ‘Desperate’ Campaign That Lacks Excitement

When Bernie Sanders entered the presidential race last spring, he was considered a fringe figure — an unapologetic independent whose “political revolution” would eschew campaign customs and center around his liberal agenda.

Now, with an upset over Hillary Clinton in next Monday’s Iowa caucuses potentially within his grasp, Sanders has emerged as a more combative — and in some ways, more conventionally political — candidate . . .

He also is attacking Clinton more directly, not only on policy differences but also on personal character, demonstrating that he has both the stomach and the punch for a political brawl — even one against the Clintons and their defenders.

The Sanders pivot was evident in an interview with The Washington Post on Saturday as he flew on a chartered jet — itself a change for a candidate who used to fold himself into the middle seats of Southwest Airlines planes — from his home in Burlington, Vt., to Iowa for his final week of campaigning here . . .

Over the course of The Post interview, Sanders said Clinton was running a “desperate” campaign incapable of generating the kind of excitement his has. He raised questions about her motives and character. He said he expects Clinton and her campaign to “throw the kitchen sink” at him in the coming week in what he described as a craven attempt to avoid an embarrassing loss in Iowa. Hillary Attacked Palin After Trump Endorsement – Sarah Just Made That Backfire BIG Time

As soon as Sarah Palin’s endorsement of Donald Trump was official, Hillary Clinton tried to use the occasion to criticize both Trump and Palin.

But Palin immediately showed Clinton why the attack backfired.

Palin appeared on stage with Trump at a rally at Iowa State University in Ames and came out full force for the GOP frontrunner. The former Alaska governor and one-time GOP candidate for vice president showed enthusiastic support for the real estate mogul, calling him a “compassionate,” “refreshing” and “self-made” man who would bring the country back from the mess President Obama made . . .

On her Facebook page, Clinton’s staff wrote: “Sarah Palin’s got Trump’s back.” The posting also said if Clinton’s supporters want to keep Republicans like Trump and Palin out of the White House, then they should sign up for Clinton’s Facebook updates . . .

It's what you do for deserving public servants, Hillary, so darn right we'll have our next President's back… better…

Posted by Sarah Palin on Wednesday, 20 January 2016

Now, Palin has made herself famous and kept herself relevant with her own social media posts with a quick reply to Clinton’s Facebook slam. (Read more from “Hillary Attacked Palin After Trump Endorsement – Sarah Just Made That Backfire BIG Time” HERE)

Watch: Former Secretary of Defense Just Announced Another Terrifying Thing About Hillary’s Email Scandal… It’s Even Worse Than We Thought

Former Secretary of Defense Robert Gates says, “I think the odds are pretty high” countries like Iran, China, and Russia hacked Hillary Clinton’s email server.

In an interview with Hugh Hewitt on Thursday, the former CIA director said “the Pentagon acknowledges that they get attacked about 100,000 times a day.”

Hewitt asked Gates, “[A]re you surprised by the news that continues to come out about the former Secretary of State’s server and the fact that the intelligence community’s inspector general has said there was a lot of very highly classified information on her server?”

“Yeah, that’s a concern for me,” Gates said. “I never used email when I was head of CIA or head of the Department of Defense. As I used to joke, I didn’t want to have some chief of station overseas email me and say he was going to do something if I didn’t get back to him in three hours, and I would get back from a five hour hearing to discover I was two hours too late. I preferred dealing with people face to face and putting a signature on a piece of paper on matters of real national security and importance.” (Read more from “Former Secretary of Defense Just Announced Another Terrifying Thing About Hillary’s Email Scandal… It’s Even Worse Than We Thought” HERE)

Bill Clinton Gave a Speech Backing His Wife’s Presidential Candidacy in Las Vegas… Here’s the Thing

Last night, Bill Clinton gave a speech in Las Vegas, just a short distance from a porno conference at the Hard Rock Casino being hosted by the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo.

Clinton’s speech was supposed to convince attendees of a tech conference that Hillary is “the best choice in 2016.” No word on whether the serial philanderer stopped by the Hard Rock Casino later that evening.

In Las Vegas Speech, Bill Clinton Backs Wife’s Presidential Candidacy

By Ben Botkin. Former president Bill Clinton visited Las Vegas on Thursday with a singular mission: bolster support in the early voting state as his wife Hillary Clinton angles for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Bill Clinton spoke Thursday in support of his wife’s presidential candidacy in a crowded gymnasium at Advanced Technologies Academy in Las Vegas. Clinton said in the end, what matters is not divisive campaigning, but whether the country is better off when a president’s term ends.

“You’ve got to rise above it just like she has,” Clinton said in his nearly hour long speech. “Keep in mind in the end that’s all that matters.” (Read more from “In Las Vegas Speech, Bill Clinton Backs Wife’s Presidential Candidacy” HERE)

Hillary Clinton: I Don’t Understand What Establishment Means [+video]

Hillary Clinton, the candidate of the Democratic Party establishment, told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Thursday that she doesn’t understand what that expression even means, but she appeared to accuse challenger Bernie Sanders of being part of it because of his long career in Washington.

Blitzer outlined the charges from the Sanders campaign that Clinton was part of the establishment, as evidenced by her endorsements from groups like Planned Parenthood and the Human Rights Campaign . . .

Clinton went on to further defend the Human Rights Campaign as well for its lead in the battle for same-sex marriage equality and lauded them as two of the most progressive organizations in the country whose endorsements she was proud to have.

“But are you the establishment?” Blitzer asked.

“I just don’t understand what that means,” Clinton said. “He’s been in Congress, he’s been elected to office a lot longer than I have. I was in the Senate for eight wonderful years representing New York. He’s been in the Congress for 25, and so I’ll let your viewers make their own judgment.” (Read more from “Hillary Clinton: I Don’t Understand What Establishment Means” HERE)

Something Huge Just Happened in the Democratic Presidential Race – Bernie Sanders Will Be Ecstatic

Three weeks before Granite Staters head to the polls to select their favorites to be their parties’ presidential nominees, U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont has built a commanding lead over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton among likely Democratic primary voters.

Sanders leads Clinton 60 percent to 33 percent in the latest WMUR/CNN New Hampshire Primary Poll, with former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley at 1 percent and 6 percent undecided.

The University of New Hampshire Survey Center conducted the poll Jan. 13-18 among 420 likely Democratic primary voters. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.8 percent . . .

Sanders’ huge lead in his neighboring state is fueled by his remarkable popularity and broad appeal.

He is viewed favorably by 91 percent of likely Democratic primary voters and unfavorably by 7 percent. His support is strong among both men and women, among all age groups and in all geographic areas of the state. An Inspector General Just Announced Something Terrifying About Clinton Emails

Hillary Clinton’s emails on her unsecured, homebrew server contained intelligence from the U.S. government’s most secretive and highly classified programs, according to an unclassified letter from a top inspector general to senior lawmakers.

Fox News exclusively obtained the unclassified letter, sent Jan. 14 from Intelligence Community Inspector General I. Charles McCullough III. It laid out the findings of a recent comprehensive review by intelligence agencies that identified “several dozen” additional classified emails — including specific intelligence known as “special access programs” (SAP).

That indicates a level of classification beyond even “top secret,” the label previously given to two emails found on her server, and brings even more scrutiny to the presidential candidate’s handling of the government’s closely held secrets.

“To date, I have received two sworn declarations from one [intelligence community] element. These declarations cover several dozen emails containing classified information determined by the IC element to be at the confidential, secret, and top secret/sap levels,” said the IG letter to lawmakers with oversight of the intelligence community and State Department. “According to the declarant, these documents contain information derived from classified IC element sources.”

Intelligence from a “special access program,” or SAP, is even more sensitive than that designated as “top secret” – as were two emails identified last summer in a random sample pulled from Clinton’s private server she used as secretary of state. Access to a SAP is restricted to those with a “need-to-know” because exposure of the intelligence would likely reveal the source, putting a method of intelligence collection — or a human asset — at risk. Currently, some 1,340 emails designated “classified” have been found on Clinton’s server, though the Democratic presidential candidate insists the information was not classified at the time. An Ex-Hillary Spokesman Just Made a Bombshell Claim About Republican Party – You Will NOT Expect This

For years, Democratic Party leaders have attacked Republicans for waging a “war on women.” Now a former spokesman for the Democratic National Committee — and Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign — is denouncing that rhetoric as “overly incendiary,” “not true,” and part of why Americans hate politics.

“I do not believe that there’s any sort of Republican war on women,” Mo Elleithee said Tuesday. “I hate when people say that, just as I hate when Republicans say that there’s a Democratic war on religion or the military.”

Elleithee made his comments at an event for Georgetown University’s Institute of Politics and Public Service, which he’s run since leaving the DNC in June. The longtime Democratic operative later told InsideSources that Republican policies are bad for women, but “overly hyped” political language turns voters off.

“I hate when there’s rhetoric that’s overly incendiary,” he said in an interview. “I hate when there’s rhetoric that’s just not true. When you say there’s a war on something, that means you’re out to destroy it. Republicans aren’t out to destroy women.”

Elleithee doesn’t think he used the phrase “war on women” during his tenure at the DNC, which began in August 2013. (In fact, he started distancing himself from the term years ago.) Still, there’s no question the language has been part of the Democrats’ national messaging. This Is Google’s Top Search (Hint: It’s About Hillary Clinton)

By Hadas Gold. Two of the top searched questions on Google for Hillary Clinton are likely not about the themes her campaign hopes to highlight.

“Will Hillary Clinton get prosecuted?” is most searched question on Google ahead of the Democratic debate on Sunday night. “Will Hillary Clinton win the nomination?” is second and “What did Hillary Clinton do that is illegal?” is the third.

For Sanders, the top question is much more positive. “Why is Bernie Sanders so popular?” followed by “Can Bernie Sanders win?” and “How old is Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders?” (Read more from “This Is Google’s Top Search (Hint: It’s About Hillary Clinton)” HERE)

Yes, Hillary’s Still the Inevitable Democratic Nominee

By David Catanese. The Associated Press has just called the Granite State Democratic primary for Bernie Sanders – and it’s a 15-point rout. It’s the second loss for Hillary Clinton in the presidential nominating contest after she narrowly dropped the Iowa caucuses to Sanders seven days prior.

Sanders’ crowd is beside themselves. The commentators on cable news are fanning doomsday scenarios. There are calls for a Clinton campaign leadership shake-up not only from talking heads, but from longtime family loyalists as well. Is it happening again? Could Clinton be upended in the Democratic primary for the second time in eight years?

This scenario is hypothetical. But given the polling that’s dribbled out over the last week, it now looks far from implausible. Sanders appears to be padding a lead in New Hampshire while beginning to threaten Clinton in Iowa – two polls even showed him tracking narrowly ahead in the first caucus state. The Vermont senator is also closing the national gap, slicing Clinton’s advantage to just 7 points in a new CBS/New York Times survey.

So if Clinton drops the first pair of early states to Sanders, is she cooked?

Not even close. (Read more from “Yes, Hillary’s Still the Inevitable Democratic Nominee” HERE)

NBC’s Todd to Hillary Clinton: ‘43% of Likely Democratic Caucus Goers Identify as Socialist’

By CNSNews.com Staff. On NBC’s “Meet the Press” today, anchor Chuck Todd asked former Secretary State Hillary Clinton about a Bloomberg Politics/Des Moines Register poll in which 43 percent of likely Iowa Democratic caucus goers described themselves as “socialist” while only 38 percent described themselves as “capitalist” . . .

Here is the exchange Todd and Clinton had about the result that indicated 43 percent of likely Democratic caucus goers described themselves as “socialist:”

Chuck Todd: “You know, another problem you may be having in Iowa is that you don’t ideologically fit. This was in the Des Moines Register poll this week: 43 percent of likely Democratic caucus goers identify as socialist. Only 38 percent of likely Democratic caucus goers identified themselves as a capitalist. You, in the last debate, said you were a capitalist. Bernie Sanders calls himself a Democratic socialist. If you don`t win Iowa, do you think that`s the reason?

Hillary Clinton: “Oh, I don’t know how people take all this information, but I support a free market economy. I support the competitiveness that has created the greatest economic engine in the history of the world. What I’m worried about is that it’s not continuing to do what it used to do, which is to give the vast majority of Americans the chance to get ahead and stay ahead.
