At the Recent Debate, Hillary Was Asked 1 Simple Question That DESTROYED Her Credibility [+video]

By Randy DeSoto. Democrat candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders asked one pointed question, which he believes draws a substantial distinction between his candidacy and Hillary Clinton’s.

“Let’s not insult the intelligent of the American people. People aren’t dumb,” Sanders said. “Why in God’s name does Wall Street make huge campaign contributions? I guess just for the fun of it, they want to throw money around.”

Clinton’s reply? She said she supports the Dodd-Frank law, and the belief that no bank is too big to fail.

Sanders, who has made campaign finance reform a cornerstone of his candidacy, also hit Clinton for the large corporate donations to a Super PAC backing her run. The socialist said early on he decided he did not want a Super PAC to support his candidacy.

“We don’t represent Wall Street, we don’t represent the billionaire class, so it ends up I’m the only candidate up here of the many candidates who has no Super PAC,” Sanders said. (Read more from “At the Recent Debate, Hillary Was Asked 1 Simple Question That DESTROYED Her Credibility” HERE)

Hillary Clinton Sharpens Focus After Democratic Debate Tussles

By Jonathan Martin and Alan Rappeport. Hillary Clinton forcefully attacked Senator Bernie Sanders before a heavily black audience Friday, highlighting his criticism of President Obama, the Affordable Care Act and for what she suggested was a single-minded focus on economic fairness at the expense of racial justice.

One day after the two squared off at a debate that emphasized issues relating to race and gender, Mrs. Clinton made clear that she intends to run in this state’s primary by effectively seeking Mr. Obama’s third term — and claiming Mr. Sanders would be a threat to the first black president’s accomplishments.

“He has called the president weak, a disappointment. He tried to get some attention to attract a candidate to actually run against the president when he was running for re-election,” Mrs. Clinton told a gymnasium full of voters near the campus of a historically black college here.

It was a reprisal of her offensive at Thursday night’s debate, but she escalated her assault further, portraying Mr. Sanders as an impediment to the health care law so associated with Mr. Obama that, she noted, it bears his name. Clinton Adjusts Pitch: I Can Be a Sanders, Just Better

Hillary Clinton wants you to know she’s a more realistic, more savvy version of Bernie Sanders.

She, too, wants to close corporate loopholes, make college and health care more affordable and get tough on Wall Street. Just as Sanders does, except she’d proceed more carefully and practically.

Same with Social Security, and income inequality. Me, too, she said. Just better.

Clinton’s challenge, though, was clear during Thursday’s debate. Sanders argues with a passion that appeals to voters disgusted with Washington inertia. Clinton reasons with fact-laced talking points and anecdotes about how things work. Sanders leans into the podium, his right index finger pointing at the viewer as he promises a radical new way of doing business. Clinton is more lawyerly, more measured, even, arguably, more presidential.

She spent much of the debate, the first since Sanders and his insurgent army crushed her in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary, intent on providing a distinctive dash of reality. She tried to convince voters fed up with politics as usual that the difference between Sanders and her is largely one of temperament and resume. Former Top Obama Official Just Went Rogue and Dropped Bombshell About Hillary

By Randy DeSoto. President Obama’s former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) believes that Hillary Clinton should be disqualified from being president in light of her alleged gross mishandling of classified material.

Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn (Ret.) told the Daily Caller, “This is unbelievable. I don’t think anybody should be talking about her being potentially the next President of the United States.”

“I think Hillary Clinton, for the good of the country, should step down and let this FBI investigation play out,” Flynn added.

The former DIA chief expressed particular concern that highly classified Special Access Program (SAP) material, which is to be viewed on a “Need to know” basis, was transferred to her private, non-secured server. This material is deemed even more sensitive than Top Secret.

“Placement of SAP-classified information on a non-secure server was the ‘single, most dangerous security violation that can ever happen to the United States,’ said Col. James Waurishuk, former deputy director of intelligence for the U.S. Central Command,” The Daily Caller reported.

“In order for Mrs. Clinton to get Top Secret/Special Access Programs onto her private server, numerous, redundant safeguards were deliberately bypassed, probably by unauthorized personnel who were given access to these documents. It was a deliberate, intentional act. It just could not happen by accident,” Waurishuk said. (Read more from “Former Top Obama Official Just Went Rogue and Dropped Bombshell About Hillary” HERE)

Donald Trump: I Would Beat Hillary Clinton to White House

By BBC News. Republican Donald Trump has said he would easily beat Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in a presidential contest for the White House.

The businessman with no political experience convincingly won the New Hampshire primary and has now laid out his strategy to go all the way.

Elsewhere, Republican Carly Fiorina has announced she is dropping out of the race after getting just 4% of the vote.

South Carolina is next in the state-by-state contest to be Republican pick. (Read more from “Donald Trump: I Would Beat Hillary Clinton to White House” HERE)

Hillary’s Henchwomen Have a Dirty Secret

By Michael Goodwin. Over years, New Hampshire earned its reputation for upending conventional wisdom, but the 2016 campaign is also leaving another legacy. When Madeleine Albright and Gloria Steinem tried to shame and bully young women into supporting Hillary Clinton, they inadvertently revealed a dirty secret of the left’s fixation on gender, race and ethnicity.

They demonstrated that hiding behind the gauzy appeals to make history is a willingness to use brass knuckles to achieve conformity. In their warped vision, biology trumps individuality, and those who don’t agree are traitors to their gender.

That’s not just unappealing, it’s also un-American. Our democracy is energized and more representative when no vote is taken for granted.

The demands for conformity by Clinton’s henchwomen mirror the anti-free-speech movements on college campuses, but are striking because they came from a former secretary of state and a feminist icon, both of whom struggled against demeaning stereotypes in their own careers. They now ape the sexists they fought. (Read more from “Hillary’s Henchwomen Have a Dirty Secret” HERE)

Hillary Clinton’s Woman Problem

By Ellie Hartleb. Bernie Sanders has captured the hearts of Millennial voters with his inspirational and emotional promise to bring the nation “a future to believe in.” Although 74-year-old Sanders is a lifelong politician, his off-the-beaten-path campaign and perpetually disheveled aesthetic seem to be just the fresh (if wrinkled) face many young Democrats are looking for.

That’s even true of the women, and particularly young women. Sanders won women under 30 by about 6 to 1 over Hillary Clinton in Iowa. He nearly matched that Tuesday in New Hampshire and, even more sobering for Clinton, nearly seven in 10 women under 45 chose Sanders. Overall, Sanders won 53% of the female vote in New Hampshire to Clinton’s 46% — a reversal from Iowa, where she carried women, and one that could reflect a troubling trend for her campaign.

Clinton has painted herself as a glass-shattering feminist icon, so these numbers might seem surprising. But considering Sanders’ overwhelming support from Millennial voters who are enchanted by policy proposals that are simply good for young people, it’s no wonder younger women in particular are turning away from Clinton in favor of more radical change.

Born after the Cold War, Millennials don’t feel the sting when Sanders refers to himself as a democratic socialist. In fact, they look on in admiration as he proclaims a dire need for a “political revolution,” chock full of social and economic domestic reforms. His core platforms — universal health care, tuition-free public colleges, a crackdown on irresponsible spending and redistribution of wealth — are all thrilling prospects for a debt-ridden generation who are wary of career politicians and tired of slow progress under the Obama administration. This Is the Presidential Candidate Obama Is Supposedly Supporting

President Barack Obama will not endorse a candidate in the Democratic primary, but there is no doubt where he is leaning, according to former White House press secretary Jay Carney.

“I think the president has signaled while still remaining neutral that he supports Secretary Clinton’s candidacy and would prefer to see her as the nominee,” Carney said on CNN Wednesday following coverage of the president’s speech to the Illinois state Senate in Springfield . . .

“I think he is maintaining that tradition of not intervening in a party primary,” he added. “But I don’t think there is any doubt that he wants Hillary to win the nomination and believes she would be the best candidate in the fall and the most effective as president in carrying forward what he has achieved.” (Read more from “This Is the Presidential Candidate Obama Is Supposedly Supporting” HERE)

Scandal Grows: This Is Who Handled the ‘Top Secret’ Intel on Hillary Server

By Catherine Herridge and Pamela K. Browne. At least a dozen email accounts handled the “top secret” intelligence that was found on Hillary Clinton’s server and recently deemed too damaging for national security to release, a U.S. government official close to the review told Fox News.

The official said the accounts include not only Clinton’s but those of top aides – including Cheryl Mills, Huma Abedin, Jake Sullivan and Philippe Reines – as well as State Department Under Secretary for Management Patrick F. Kennedy and others. There is no public evidence they were authorized to receive the intelligence some of which was beyond Top Secret.

A second source not authorized to speak on the record said the number of accounts involved could be as high as 30 and reflects how the intelligence was broadly shared, replied to, and copied to individuals using the unsecured server.

“My contacts with former colleagues and current active duty personnel involved in sensitive programs reveal a universal feeling that the HRC issue is more serious than the general public realizes,” Dan Maguire, a former strategic planner with Africom, and with 46 years combined service, told Fox. “Most opine they would already be behind bars if they had apparently compromised sensitive information as reported.” (Read more from “Scandal Grows: This Is Who Handled the ‘Top Secret’ Intel on Hillary Server” HERE)

Judge Chides State Department for Delay in Clinton Email Release

By Laura Koran. A federal judge expressed dismay over the State Department’s continued delays releasing Hillary Clinton’s emails.

“The government has put me between a rock and a hard place,” Judge Rudolph Contreras said at a hearing Tuesday, noting his displeasure over the State Department’s explanations about the delays.

Contreras said he felt he was being forced to choose between accepting the State Department’s proposed timeline without question, or else risk the accidental release of sensitive information by hurrying the process.

The State Department’s proposed production schedule would result in all the remaining emails being released the day before “Super Tuesday” and after early contests in New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina. (Read more from “Judge Chides State Department for Delay in Clinton Email Release” HERE)

Huge: FBI Makes It Official, Hillary Is Under Investigation

By Pete Williams. In a letter disclosed Monday in a federal court filing, the FBI confirms one of the world’s worst-kept secrets: It is looking into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server.

Why say this at all, since it was widely known to be true? Because in August in response to a judge’s direction, the State Department asked the FBI for information about what it was up to. Sorry, the FBI said at the time, we can neither confirm nor deny the existence of any investigation.

Now, in a letter dated February 2 and filed in court Monday, the FBI’s general counsel, James Baker, notes that in public statements and congressional testimony, the FBI “has acknowledged generally that it is working on matters related to former Secretary Clinton’s use of a private email server.” (Read more from “Huge: FBI Makes It Official, Hillary Is Under Investigation” HERE)

FBI Confirms Its ‘Ongoing’ Investigation Into Hillary Clinton’s Previous Use of a Private Email Server

By Associated Press. Attorney General Loretta Lynch is reaffirming that the FBI’s probe into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while secretary of state is free of outside political influence.

She told The Associated Press on Monday that the FBI investigation is independent and is being conducted by career lawyers looking at the facts and evidence.

Republicans have been critical of Clinton’s use of personal email during her bid for the Democratic presidential nomination. (Read more from “FBI Confirms Its ‘Ongoing’ Investigation Into Hillary Clinton’s Previous Use of a Private Email Server” HERE)

Dem Officials Just Admitted Something HUGE About Iowa That Could Be Bad for Hillary

By Randy DeSoto. The Iowa Democratic Party confirmed on Friday that discrepancies have been found in Monday’s Iowa caucus results.

The party informed the Des Moines Register that the final tally will be altered to account for those discrepancies.

Based on reports of questionable practices in various voting precincts, Democrat candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders refused to concede the contest to Hillary Clinton . . .

On Thursday, the Register’s editorial board called for a statewide audit of the precinct vote tallies in light of the report of irregularities election night. In a piece entitled Something Smells in the Democratic Party, the board called on the Iowa Democrat Party chairwoman Dr. Andy McGuire to:

Work with all the campaigns to audit results. Break silly party tradition and release the raw vote totals. Provide a list of each precinct coin flip and its outcome, as well as other information sought by the Register. Be transparent.

Bernie Sanders Volunteered for Marxist Revolutionary Group in 1960’s

By Aaron Klein. In the 1960s, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) volunteered at a kibbutz in northern Israel as the guest of a Marxist-socialist youth movement with a revolutionary mission, it was revealed on Thursday.

For months, Israeli reporters have been searching for the name of the kibbutz on which Sanders spent several months in 1963. The presidential candidate, who has not been shy about his affinity for socialism, was reluctant to disclose much about his Jewish upbringing or his time in Israel in 1963, where he traveled with his first wife, Deborah Shiling.

Sanders’ campaign has conspicuously refused to answer inquiries about the identity of the kibbutz.

On Thursday, Jerusalem Post Intelligence and Security columnist Yossi Melman revealed that Sanders volunteered the information about the kibbutz during an interview with the reporter in 1990, while Melman was the intelligence correspondent and analyst for Israel’s Haaretz newspaper.

The 1990 interview, discovered in the Haaretz archive, cites Sanders saying that in 1963 he spent several months in Kibbutz Sha’ar Ha’amakim in northern Israel as a guest of the Hashomer Hatzair youth movement, which was affiliated with the kibbutz. (Read more from this story HERE)

Watch: This Is Why Young Women in NH Are ‘Offended’ by Hillary Clinton

Young women in New Hampshire were offended by the way Hillary Clinton uses her gender to garner support, an MSNBC survey revealed Friday.

When MSNBC anchor Tamron Hall asked young female voters about Hillary Clinton’s claim on Wednesday that she is not an establishment candidate because she is a woman, they responded negatively.

One of the respondents said that she did not like how Clinton assumed that her feminism was identical to the feminism of all women.

“I also am a woman. I also face discrimination as being a woman. Her feminism does not represent my feminism, and I think it’s really important to differentiate that,” one young woman said. Her complaint is a common one among young women and reveals a generational divide within the Democratic Party . . .

Hall expressed shocked at the responses she received to her questions. Although it is well known Clinton’s opponent, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) polls better with young voters, Hall did not expect young women to react negatively to Clinton’s use of gender. Hillary Clinton Is Going to Really Regret Saying These 4 Words About Goldman Sachs

By Chris Cillizza. Hillary Clinton spent an hour talking to CNN’s Anderson Cooper and a handful of New Hampshire voters in a town hall on Wednesday night. For 59 minutes of it, she was excellent — empathetic, engaged and decidedly human. But, then there was that other minute — really just four words — that Clinton is likely to be haunted by for some time to come.

“That’s what they offered,” Clinton said in response to Cooper’s question about her decision to accept $675,000 in speaking fees from Goldman Sachs in the period between serving as secretary of state and her decision to formally enter the 2016 presidential race.

The line is, well, bad. More on that soon. But, the line when combined with her body language when she said it makes it politically awful for her.

Clinton is both seemingly caught by surprise and annoyed by the question all at once. Neither of those is a good reaction to what Cooper is asking. Both together make for a uniquely bad response. Hillary Clinton Says ‘Every Secretary of State That I Know’ Has Been a Paid Speaker

By Dylan Stableford. During CNN’s Democratic town hall event in New Hampshire on Wednesday, Hillary Clinton shrugged when asked why she accepted $675,000 from Wall Street investment giant Goldman Sachs to give three speeches in 2013.

“That’s what they offered,” Clinton said. “You know, every secretary of state that I know has done that.”

Well, yes and no.

In terms of delivering paid speeches, she’s right: Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell and Madeleine Albright — the three secretaries of state before Clinton — and James Baker, who served under George H. W. Bush, have given paid speeches according to the Washington Speakers Bureau, the Alexandria, Va., booking agency that represents them.
