Hakeem Jeffries Pleads Ignorance When Asked About Biden’s Illegitimate Granddaughter

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries would not address President Biden’s refusal to acknowledge his grandchild Navy Joan Roberts, the out-of-wedlock daughter of his son Hunter Biden.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Mr. Jeffries, New York Democrat, told The Washington Times when asked at a press conference if he thought the president should publicly recognize his four-year-old granddaughter.

Mr. Jeffries added that he did not think that the president’s reelection campaign would be marred by his son’s personal and legal problems or allegations of influence peddling and bribery to make a fortune from foreign business deals.

Hunter Biden reached a child support agreement with the mother of his child, Lunden Alexis Roberts, last month. Ms. Roberts and her daughter now live in Arkansas.

According to court documents, Hunter Biden agreed to pay a monthly undisclosed sum to Ms. Robert and turn over his paintings, which have been listed for $500,000 each, the net proceeds of which would go to his daughter. Hunter Biden Won’t Get Pardon From Father, White House Insists

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was forced Thursday to rule out President Biden handing a pardon to his son Hunter.

As recently as Monday, the administration’s chief spokesperson had insisted the president was “never in business with his son” and said Wednesday that “nothing has changed.”

But scrutiny from the media and Republicans intensified after Hunter’s probation-only plea deal on tax and gun charges collapsed under scrutiny by a federal judge in Delaware, who raised questions about promises of near-blanket immunity extracted from federal prosecutors as part of the agreement.

“Is there any possibility that the president would end up pardoning his son?” Fox News reporter Mark Meredith asked Jean-Pierre during her regular briefing.

By Breitbart. Hunter Biden pled not guilty on Wednesday to gun and tax charges, refusing to accept a new plea deal laid out by prosecutors.

The original plea deal fell apart after the judge questioned if it covered future potential charges of the Justice Department’s ongoing investigation. The prosecution reportedly said the deal did not include any alleged Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) violations.

MSNBC reported the court took a ten-minute recess to determine if the two parties could quickly come to an agreement. When the deal got back on track, reports indicated it would “be more limited in scope,” only including specific charges related to tax and gun wronging. “The two sides have agreed that this deal does not shield him from potential future charges,” CNN reported.

But the judge said she was not ready to accept the plea deal and asked both the prosecutor and Hunter Biden to submit additional briefs, according to reporters inside the courthouse. The parties will have to return to court in the future.

Legal Experts Explain What Judge’s Refusal to Accept Hunter Biden Plea Deal Reveals

By Daily Caller. Legal experts slammed the Department of Justice’s handling of Hunter Biden’s “sweetheart” plea deal Wednesday after it fell apart in court under a judge’s questioning, which revealed it to be better for Biden than initially thought.

Hunter Biden plead not guilty Wednesday after Judge Maryellen Noreika made a rare move and refused the plea deal between the Department of Justice (DOJ) and his legal team, which she had raised concerns about in part due to its “broad immunity” for potential future charges, CNN reported. The initial deal would have had Biden plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges and enter a probation agreement for one felony gun charge.

Julianne Murray, an attorney representing The Heritage Foundation, which filed an amicus brief in the case Tuesday, was in the courtroom during the hearing. She told the Daily Caller News Foundation that the judge “did a really good job of sniffing out that there was stuff that was not being said out loud.”

“My sense was everybody just wanted this to just go away,” she said. “Now they know it’s not going away.”

While it’s not uncommon for plea deals to offer immunity limited to conduct “directly related” to the offense, Murray told the DCNF the offer given to Hunter Biden was “not limited in scope” and included “all of the allegations of conduct that are still being investigated,” though it was verbally amended to “limit the scope to gun, drugs and taxes from 2014-2019.”

As White House Alters Language Around Hunter Denials, Karine Says With Straight Face ‘Nothing Has Changed’

The Biden administration has shifted its language on the extent to which President Joe Biden was involved in his son Hunter’s business dealings, changing the line from never “discuss[ing] overseas business” to saying the two have “never been in business.”

Amid the apparent rhetorical change, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre insisted Wednesday that “nothing has changed.”

“The president has previously said that he has never discussed overseas business dealings with his son. But the White House now says that the president has never been in business with his son. So, why the updated language? Which statement is true, or is this semantics and they’re both true?” RealClearPolitics’ Philip Wegmann asked Jean-Pierre.

“Nothing has changed. Nothing has changed on this. Nothing has changed on this. You could ask me a million different ways on this question, nothing has changed,” the press secretary responded.

Biden Family Scandals Are So Much Bigger Than Hunter’s Hookers and Burisma Bribery

When the New York Post broke the news that documents recovered from Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop implicated Joe Biden in a pay-to-play scandal, the corporate media — to the extent they didn’t frame the story as Russian disinformation — pretended the reporting solely concerned Hunter Biden’s personal life.

The scandal, however, was never about Hunter’s sordid sex life and history of drug abuse. Rather, it concerned Joe Biden’s abuse of power as vice president for financial gain. But now it reaches much further — including 10 distinct scandals. . .

While the current scandals swirling around the laptop are unrelated to Hunter Biden’s sex life or drug abuse, the president’s son features in the first scandal: Evidence indicates Hunter Biden committed numerous crimes, including felonies.

Evidence suggests Hunter Biden acted as an unregistered foreign agent for, at a minimum, Ukraine and China in violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act. The confidential human source’s (CHS) reporting suggests Hunter also accepted bribes from Burisma or alternatively helped extort $10 million from the Ukrainian oil and gas company for himself and his father.

Hunter Biden Lawyer Accused of Misleading Clerk to Block Release of Damning Evidence; Is Hunter Biden’s Plea Deal In Jeopardy?

By New York Post. First son Hunter Biden’s legal team appeared to pull a dirty trick Tuesday to block the release of damning evidence ahead of his expected guilty plea to federal charges of tax evasion and weapons crimes.

The drama began in the morning when the House Ways and Means Committee filed an amicus brief to Delaware US District Judge Maryellen Noreika arguing that the 53-year-old had benefited from “political interference which calls into question the propriety of the investigation” into alleged crimes including money laundering, felony tax evasion and failure to register as a foreign agent.

The filing included testimony by two IRS whistleblowers who sat for transcribed interviews May 26 and June 1.

What happened next was outlined in a letter sent to the judge Tuesday afternoon by the committee’s top lawyer, Theodore Kittila.

“[A]t approximately 1:30 p.m., we received word that our filing was removed from the docket,” Kittila said. “We promptly contacted the Clerk’s office, and we were advised that someone contacted the Court representing that they worked with my office [emphasis original] and that they were asking the Court to remove this from the docket. We immediately advised that this was inaccurate. The Clerk’s Office responded that we would need to re-file. Hunter Biden’s Plea Deal Is Now in Jeopardy

By Fox News. JESSE WATTERS: Hunter Biden’s plea deal is now in jeopardy. President Joe Biden’s son is set to appear in court tomorrow where Delaware Judge Maryellen Noriega will decide on whether or not to sign off on Hunter’s plea deal and Hunter Biden may have just jinxed the deal. You’re not going to believe what he just did. Republican Congressman Jason Smith just filed a brief with the judge entering into evidence, the IRS whistleblower testimony, basically a legal move to get the judge to think, “You know, what? Are you really going to let this guy off so easy?”

Hunter Biden’s attorney called the courthouse clerk today and pretended to be a Republican attorney and told the clerk, “Oops, you know what? We didn’t really mean to file all that whistleblower stuff. Can you guys just strike that from the record?” Seriously? Hunter Biden’s lawyer made a phony phone call to the court and tried to remove the whistleblower testimony.

WH Press Briefing Spends More Time on Biden Dog Biting Spree Than New Hunter Revelations

White House reporters spent more time at the Tuesday briefing asking about President Joe Biden’s dog Commander’s biting spree than about the newest Hunter Biden revelations.

Commander, a German Shepherd, sent a Secret Service officer to the hospital and bit six other individuals in the White House. A 194-page Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) document detailed the dog’s aggression and how it bit people on several occasions.

Reporters asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about the dog’s biting spree at least four times. That is more time spent asking about the dog than about the criminal investigations into Hunter Biden. Monday, Business Insider reported Hunter sold his art to a Democratic Party donor who his father appointed to the U.S. Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad.

Hunter Biden Prosecutor Will Be Allowed to Testify Before Congress After Republicans Slam Plea Deal

Hunter Biden prosecutor and U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware David Weiss will be allowed to testify before the House Judiciary Committee, according to a letter from the Department of Justice.

Weiss’ testimony would come after the announcement of a plea deal where Hunter would plead guilty to two tax misdemeanors and admit the facts of a gun charge. If the deal is accepted by a judge, it will likely mean no jail time for the president’s son. Republican lawmakers were quick to decry the deal, saying that it was too lenient on Hunter, prompting Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) to send a letter requesting Weiss’ testimony before Congress.

“The Department of Justice (Department) appreciates the Committee on the Judiciary’s (Committee’s) acceptance of our offer for U.S. Attorney Weiss to testify at a public hearing before the Committee. The Department is ready to offer U.S. Attorney Weiss to testify shortly after Congress returns from the August district work period, as described more fully below,” Assistant Attorney General Carlos Felipe Uriarte wrote in a letter to Jordan.

Judge Warns Hunter Biden’s Lawyers They Could Face Sanctions

A judge told lawyers for Hunter Biden they could face sanctions over the allegation that one member from their law firm lied to the court clerk over the phone to get records pulled from the docket.

The threat from Delaware U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika came the day before a scheduled hearing to consider a plea deal for tax and gun violations that could keep the first son out of prison.

“It appears that the caller misrepresented her identity and who she worked for in an attempt to improperly convince the clerk’s office to remove the amicus materials from the docket,” Noreika said in an order on Tuesday, according to the Daily Mail.

“Therefore, it is hereby ordered that, on or before 9pm today on July 25, 2023, counsel for defendant shall show cause as to why sanctions should not be considered for misrepresentations to the court,” the judge added.

The controversy stems from an amicus brief filing by lawyers representing House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO), who encouraged the court to “consider” whistleblower testimony from Internal Revenue Service (IRS) agents claiming the criminal case led by Delaware’s U.S. Attorney David Weiss has been slow-walked in a way that precluded more serious charges against Biden. New Details: It’s Looking Even Worse for the Bidens…and the FBI

On Friday, we analyzed a just-released FBI ‘FD-1023′ document, in which a trusted FBI informant asserted that executives from Burisma — the Ukrainian energy company that famously employed then-Vice President Joe Biden’s son, despite his dearth of relevant expertise, while the elder Biden was running point on Ukraine policy in the Obama administration — had described a multimillion-dollar bribery scheme that enriched both of the aforementioned Bidens. The Bureau’s confidential human source (CHS) told investigators that the Burisma leaders held a dim view of Hunter Biden’s personal value and intellect, but kept the generous payments flowing to him because Hunter would “take care of all of those issues through his dad.” The function of the younger Biden, the company’s CFO reportedly said, was “to protect us, through his dad, from all kinds of problems.”

One such problem, allegedly, was an investigation by a Ukrainian prosecutor into Burisma, which the firm’s leadership wanted to go away. To that end, per former federal prosecutor Andy McCarthy’s summary of the CHS’ accusations, “the founder of Burisma recounted being pressured by then-Vice President Joe Biden to put Biden’s son Hunter on the Ukrainian energy company’s board, and for $10 million in bribes — $5 million each to Joe and Hunter Biden — in order to use Biden’s political influence to force the firing of a Ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating Burisma.” That man was, in fact, fired, after Vice President Biden explicitly linked the firing as a prerequisite for unlocking $1 billion is US taxpayer aid. Biden subsequently boasted about this very episode in public remarks.

The Federalist’s Margot Cleveland immediately noted that the CHS’ account directly contradicted Biden’s explanation for triggering the firing, writing that the Burisma executive’s alleged statement to the CHS “proves significant because Joe Biden had long claimed he pushed for Shokin’s firing because Shokin was not investigating Burisma — which is the exact opposite of the details summarized in the FD-1023.” The FD-1023 includes a recollection from the CHS, who said Burisma bigwigs weren’t concerned about the claimed $10 million in bribery funds ever being discovered because they “did not send funds directly to “the big guy” (a reference to Joe Biden), and that the payments to the Bidens had been routed through so many companies and bank accounts that it would take investigators ten years to trace the payments to Joe Biden.” As we pointed out, House Oversight Committee Republicans have produced bank records showing millions of dollars in foreign (largely Chinese) money flowing to nine different Biden family members through an intricate series of shell corporations — quite possibly underscoring a modus operandi, at the very least.
