The ‘White Nationalists’ Arrested at the Idaho Pride Event Were the Least Armed and Dangerous People That Day

By the way Chief Lee White of the Coeur d’Alene Police Department is acting, you’d swear he just prevented a mass shooting in a preschool using only psychic abilities and a roll of tape.

But that’s not what White and his force did. Instead, on Saturday they arrested 31 guys who were found to be in possession of nothing other than a single smoke bomb and a plan to make noise throughout the city. . .

It’s certainly annoying and offensive, but since when did that require two press conferences from the police chief and fire-alarm coverage from The New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN, and on and on?

Ah, that’s because this wasn’t just anybody. This wasn’t Black Lives Matter or Antifa. It was the Patriot Front, a group made up of “white nationalists.” That’s why we’re supposed to believe this was so important. They were white racists and, as we’re told by the FBI and the media over and over again, that’s the greatest threat to the country at the moment.

It’s not because anyone was hurt or that there was even any evidence that there was a specific plan of assault. They had no weapons.

Admittedly, anything can be a weapon, but generally speaking, a shield is meant to defend, not attack. And Chief White said there were regular attendees “walking around the [Pride] event with long guns and handguns and bear spray and all kinds of things like that.” That’s perfectly legal for them to do in Idaho, but it was apparently the shields police were concerned with. Ammon Bundy Jailed for 10 Days After Arguing His Campaigning Counts as Community Service

Anti-government extremist and Idaho gubernatorial candidate Ammon Bundy was sentenced to 10 days in jail on Thursday after a county judge found him in contempt of court.

Ada County Magistrate Judge Annie McDevitt hit Bundy with the jail sentence and a $3,000 fine for refusing to do the 40 hours of community service he’d been ordered to complete when he was convicted of trespassing last year in connection with his COVID protest at the Idaho State Capitol in 2020. . .

Bundy had tried to argue that he did complete his community service — by making public appearances around the state as part of his campaign for governor.

His campaign treasurer, Aaron Welling, told Idaho’s 4th District Court on Nov. 29 that the candidate had done “1,621 hours of public service” on the campaign trail by encouraging Idahoans to “become more active in holding public officials accountable to the people of Idaho.” (Read more from “Ammon Bundy Jailed for 10 Days After Arguing His Campaigning Counts as Community Service” HERE)

Pro-Trump Oregon Counties Vote to Leave State

On Tuesday, voters in five counties in eastern Oregon urged county officials to begin to promote border relocation and joining Idaho.

The counties — Malheur, Sherman, Grant, Baker and Lake — join Jefferson and Union counties, whose voters applied to join Idaho last year, in their planned secession to what is being called “Greater Idaho.”

While President Biden was favored 56 to 40 percent ahead of former President Donald Trump statewide, these five counties heavily favored Trump over Biden with up to 69-79 percent of the vote going to Trump.

The group, Move Oregon’s Border for a Greater Idaho, is behind the effort. In addition to rural eastern Oregon, the planned Greater Idaho would also encompass large swathes of northeastern California. . .

“This election proves that rural Oregon wants out of Oregon. If Oregon really believes in liberal values such as self-determination, the Legislature won’t hold our counties captive against our will,” Mike McCarter, lead petitioner, said. Idaho Legislature Considers Absorbing Part Of Oregon

A joint House and Senate committee of the Idaho legislature listened to an appeal by members of a group that want Idaho to absorb most of Oregon.

The request is a longshot — requiring approval of the legislatures of both states as well as Congress — but the invitation from Idaho lawmakers may have been the biggest win so far for the group, Move Oregon’s Border for a Greater Idaho, the Idaho Press reported.

Idaho state Rep. Barbara Ehardt, R-Idaho Falls, helped make the April 12 meeting possible.

“Why not have the conversation? It’s an intriguing idea. There absolutely are benefits to the idea,” she said. “It’s not necessarily something that would happen right away.” . . .

The founder of Move Oregon’s Border for a Greater Idaho, Mike McCarter, said in his presentation that the “boundary between Oregon and Idaho is outdated because it doesn’t match the cultural boundary between urban communities who like Portland’s leadership and rural communities that are traditional, family-oriented, self-reliant.” (Read more from “Idaho Legislature Considers Absorbing Part Of Oregon” HERE)

WATCH: Mandatory-Mask Pusher Nearly Passes Out While Wearing Mask

A video shows a masked school board member at a meeting of the trustees for Idaho Falls District 91 gasping for air while arguing that the school district should continue to mandate mask-wearing.

The Red State Nation blog said it was Trustee Elizabeth Cogliati who was forced to take long pauses between words as she argued for the masks.

The report noted there’s no official evidence that a mask reduces oxygen levels, but “when you wear a mask, particularly if you have an N95 mask, it can make you feel like it is more difficult to catch your breath.”

“A mask offers some resistance to the usual way of breathing, making it seem more difficult to catch your breath. The feeling is more a psychological one than a physical problem with breathing, according to medical personnel,” the report said.

The report said the woman “almost passed out, whether it was all in her head or the lack of oxygen we gonna let you to decide.” (Read more from “WATCH: Mandatory-Mask Pusher Nearly Passes Out While Wearing Mask” HERE)

Mom Arrested for Taking Children to Park During Coronavirus

An Idaho mother who was arrested in April after taking her children to the playground spoke with Breitbart News at Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she shared her story, saying draconian rules implemented in response to the Chinese coronavirus are pitting “good citizens against good officers.”

“It pits good citizens against good officers,” said Sara Brady of lockdown rules established in the wake of the Wuhan virus. “And sadly, what’s going to happen is — good officers are going to either have to make a choice to leave or they’re going to be fired for refusing to comply with an unconstitutional mandate.”

“And keep in mind, good officers are not making an oath to the constitution to go after good people,” Brady continued. “They want to go after the criminals. They want to do it for a righteous cause.”

“I think it’s done by design,” she added. “On purpose, to put our good men in law enforcement in these positions where good citizens are starting to be angry at them for the draconian measures that they’re putting on people.”

Brady — who is also married to a police officer — added that her husband is uncomfortable with the idea of arresting mothers for taking their children to the playground. (Read more from “Mom Arrested for Taking Children to Park During Coronavirus” HERE)

Judge Stops State From Enacting Ban on Transgender Athletes

A federal judge has issued a temporary injunction to stop Idaho from enacting a law banning transgender girls and women from participating in women’s sports while a legal challenge moves forward.

The Idaho Statesman reports the ruling means transgender athletes wanting to participate in sports that match their gender identity can do so this fall at the college and secondary school level.

U.S. District Judge David Nye ruled Monday that a preliminary injunction is warranted because the plaintiffs are likely to win in court as part of a lawsuit filed by the ACLU challenging the constitutionality of the law. House Business Grinds to Halt, as Scott, Giddings Argue Over Personal Bill on Abortion

Business in the House ground to a halt this morning, as Reps. Heather Scott, R-Blanchard, and Priscilla Giddings, R-White Bird, mounted an unsuccessful parliamentary maneuver to pull Scott’s “Abortion Human Rights Act” personal bill, HB 361, out of the Ways & Means Committee to the House floor. That prompted much back-and-forth over the committee system and whether it’s working as it should, and over the power of committee chairs to stop bills from proceeding, simply by not scheduling them for hearings. House Transportation Chairman Joe Palmer, R-Meridian, told the House, “There has to be a backstop somewhere. If you don’t have the backstop, you’re going to continue on forever and ever. … We’ve seen other states where they run a full-time legislature. I don’t think that’s what the people of Idaho want.”

Scott said, “There’s no rules that personal bills are personal bills. It has a bill number. It’s been sitting in committee.” Giddings demanded to know how many personal bills are sitting in the Ways & Means Committee without hearings; Speaker Scott Bedke ruled the question out of order.

Asked what rule lays out that procedure, House Ways & Means Committee Chairman Robert Anderst, R-Nampa, said, “That’s how we’ve operated since I’ve been here.”

Scott said, “We just want a public hearing. We just want both sides of the issue to be heard. … It’s causing a divide in conservatives, this whole issue. …That’s why I’d like this issue to be heard.” (Read more from “House Business Grinds to Halt, as Scott, Giddings Argue Over Personal Bill on Abortion” HERE)

Border Wall Costume Leads to Administrative Leave for 14 School Employees

Fourteen Idaho school employees were put on administrative leave after wearing costumes of President Donald Trump’s proposed border wall and outfits that depicted Mexicans.

Middleton School District Superintendent Josh Middleton made the announcement Saturday morning after a special board meeting that addressed the costumes. A letter to the district’s community and parents outlined steps the district would take following the politically-charged costumes.

The plan includes having security at Middleton Heights Elementary School, having the District’s “Crisis Team” to “support the social-emotional well-being, for students, staff and parents,” and cultural sensitivity training for staff.

“Middleton is under a microscope, and I view this as an opportunity to learn and grow from this incident, and even more create enhanced learning environments where Every Child Learning Every Day is wrapped in Every Child Shown Kindness, Respect and Love Everyday,” Middleton wrote.

Photos of the school employees wearing sombreros and ponchos to represent Mexicans and a border wall costume that read “Make America Great Again” were posted on the school’s Facebook page Thursday night, but were later removed. Screenshots of the pictures went viral, according to The Associated Press. (Read more from “Border Wall Costume Leads to Administrative Leave for 14 School Employees” HERE)

Listen: GOP Rep. Receives Threatening Voicemails, Emails Because of This Facebook Post

Last weekend, the Idaho Republican Party held their annual convention. One of the main speakers during the event was newly-elected NRA President Oliver North. Naturally, Oliver’s presence brought gun control proponents out to protest.

During one of the convention’s breaks, Idaho State Rep. Priscilla Giddings (R) walked outside and noticed a group of protestors calling for gun control. Giddings read their signs and decided to pose for a picture with them. She then shared the following post on Facebook:

Little did the girls in the picture know that Giddings, a former combat pilot and current major in the Air Force Reserves, utilized firearms during multiple deployments in the Middle East. The most ironic sign of them all was the one girl’s call to ban…artillery. . .

While Giddings says she stands with the young women and will defend their right to free speech, she said she hopes they can gain a greater understanding of the Second Amendment, which is what was meant by her post. . .

The post made its way around social media. Reporters throughout the state even threw their two cents in:
