Federal Contractor Urges DHS to Ditch Term ‘Illegal Immigrant,’ Says ‘Jihadist’ Is ‘Racially Charged’

A federal contractor that’s received hundreds of millions of dollars from the federal government is pushing the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to adopt “inclusive language,” replacing terms like “illegal immigrant” with “undocumented noncitizen,” “riot” with “protest,” and suggesting that terms such as “looter” and “jihadist” have become “racially charged.”

The report from the RAND Corporation, a nonprofit which operates the Homeland Security Operational Analysis Center as a “federally funded research and development center,” charges the DHS uses language that is “insulting, demeaning, dehumanizing, offensive, embarrassing, or othering or otherwise make individuals feel uncomfortable, marginalized, disrespected, or unsafe.”

Titled “Language, Labels, and the DHS Lexicon,” the report was drafted on behalf of the agency’s Office for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. It particularly focuses on immigration enforcement, counterterrorism efforts, and law enforcement, charging that these three operation areas use offensive language, relying on interviews with 15 individuals under the jurisdiction of DHS.

Report: 2023 Marks Worst Year Ever at the Border

2023 has been the worst year on record at the border, with a staggering 3.2 million encounters nationwide, according to a report from the House Committee on Homeland Security.

“Encounters at the Southwest border (SWB) in FY2023 increased over 40% since FY 2021, 4% compared to FY2022, and more than 100% compared to FY2019,” the report explains. A total of 2.47 million illegal immigrant encounters were reported at the southern border in fiscal year 2023.

But there were also an additional 189,402 illegal immigrant encounters at the northern border during 2023, marking roughly an increase of 80,000 encounters since last year and a shocking jump up from just 27,180 northern border encounters in 2021.

The committee factsheet highlighted the increase in border encounters in 2023 compared to previous years, calling the figure “another unprecedented milestone under Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and President Joe Biden’s open-borders policies.”

Overall, there was a total of 3.2 million illegal immigrant encounters nationwide, a press release from the committee reported. But the shocking figure does not include the 1.7 million known illegal immigrant gotaways who’ve entered the country under the Biden administration since fiscal year 2021. Secretary of State Antony Blinken: Americans Must Accept Migrants

President Joe Biden’s foreign policy chief, Antony Blinken, says Americans must give foreigners the opportunity to migrate into their U.S. homeland.

“You have to give them an opportunity to do that,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken said at an event at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy in Texas.

Blinken did not urge his government peers to enforce the immigration laws that protect Americans from employers who hire illegal immigrants that undercut Americans’ bargaining power in the labor market. He also did not mention the many polls showing the growing public opposition to Biden’s mass illegal migration.

Instead, he described migration as a natural and inevitable process — an opportunity for government officials and experts to better manage, exploit, channel, and redirect. “We are going to make migration safe, humane, and orderly, which we have to do,” said the veteran Democrat appointee. Biden’s 2023 Flood: One Migrant for Every American Newborn

President Joe Biden’s deputies welcomed at least one economic migrant into the United States during the last 12 months for every American newborn or high-school graduate.

More than 4 million economic migrants crossed the southern border during the government’s October-to-September budget year, according to federal data released October 21.

In contrast, 3.67 million Americans were born during the matching 12-month period in 2022, according to the Census Bureau. That 2022 number includes at least 400,000 births to illegal migrants.

The inflow also creates vast economic competition for the 3 million American youths who graduated from schools in the 10 months up to October 2022, the bureau reported.

DHS Deported Less Than 1% Of Catch-And-Release Illegals Since Start of Biden Administration

The Homeland Security Department has caught and released more than 2.1 million illegal immigrants at the southern border since the start of the Biden administration.

Less than 1% of them had immigration court hearings and were deported, the House Judiciary Committee said Monday in a report challenging the government’s assertions that it is “promptly” removing the wave of people arriving at the border.

Using Homeland Security’s data, the committee delivered the most comprehensive look to date at the border chaos. The report examines who has crossed illegally, how many have been released and how the administration has struggled to deal with the migrants once they are in the U.S.

The data indicates that migrants are incredibly difficult to dislodge once they move beyond the border.

The report also suggests that few of the immigrants are asylum-seekers. Those who attempt to use the asylum process are generally ruled to have bogus claims and are ordered deported. Potential Terrorists From Syria Reach Remote Arizona Border Crossing

Syria has been designated by the U.S. government as a state sponsor of terrorism for decades already. . .

Now dozens, even hundreds, of illegal aliens from Syria are finding their way to a remote border crossing point in Arizona where they enter the U.S., without permission. . .

In his latest update, he said the illegals are from west Africa, India and Egypt, too.

“For whatever reason, the cartels moved huge numbers of people, all coming through here,” he said.

Mexico’s President Flexes His Open-Borders Power Over Biden

President Joe Biden’s deputies are offering multiple concessions to Mexican President Andres Manuel López Obrador in the hope that he will conceal the huge and unpopular flow of illegal migrants during the 2024 campaign season.

On Thursday, three of Biden’s cabinet secretaries met with Obrador. He has the power to embarrass Biden during the 2024 campaign with massive, televised eruptions of migrants — such as the September 2021 rush of 15,000 Haitians at Del Rio, Texas.

He has that power because Biden’s deputies have abandoned their duty to enforce the border law and have, instead, triggered a flood of global migrants through Mexico that Mexico’s government can hold or release whenever Obrador chooses.

Illegal Chinese Nationals Crossing Southern Border Skyrocketing

The number of Chinese migrant encounters recorded by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents has seen a massive spike in the year to date.

Statistics recently released by the CBP show there were nearly 45,500 encounters with Chinese nationals in the 11 months to August, compared to almost 28,000 for the 2022 fiscal year, which runs from October to September. Many of these encounters were recorded at the southern land border with Mexico and the overwhelming majority were unaccompanied adults.

Democrat Governor Says Border ‘Is Too Open’ and Demands ‘Limit’ on Crossings as NY Struggles With Migrant Crisis

The migrant crisis in New York is so bad that even Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul is ramping up her attacks on US border policies, demanding “a limit on who can come across’’ and more agents to nab illegals.

Hochul targeted Congress in comments Sunday but still risked the wrath of the Biden administration as it grapples with the crisis wreaking mayhem in the Big Apple and across the country.

“It is too open right now,’’ Hochul flatly told CBS’s “Face the Nation’’ of the country’s southern border with Mexico — where a record-setting 260,000-plus migrants crossed over just last month.

“We want [Congress] to have a limit on who can come across the border,’’ said the governor, who has been criticized in the past for going too easy on the White House over the debacle.

“People coming from all over the world are finding their way through, simply saying they need asylum, and the majority of them seem to be ending up in the streets of New York, and that is a real problem for New York City,” she said. Mayor Blames Biden for Illegal Alien Crisis: They’re Coming in ‘Without Any Consequence Whatsoever’

Eagle Pass, Texas, Mayor Rolando Salinas, a Democrat, blamed President Joe Biden for the flood of illegal immigrants that have overrun his town and led to a surge in crime.

Salinas made the remarks during a Thursday interview with Erin Burnett on CNN’s “OutFront” when asked about how serious the situation was in his town.

“First of all, this is definitely a very serious situation for the city of Eagle Pass,” he said. “We’re a city of about 28,000 to 30,000 people. And the last couple of days, we’ve had an excess of 5,000 people crossed from Piedras Negras, Mexico, into Eagle Pass, Texas.”

He said that tons of people were being let loose into the community and that not only has it increased safety concerns, but they’ve had to close their international bridge, which brings in millions of dollars every day.
