Trey Gowdy Says No to Impeachment: ‘Have You Met Joe Biden?’

Republican bulldog Rep. Trey Gowdy put the kibosh on the idea of impeaching President Obama during a nationally television Fox News interview, telling his broadcast audience that booting the commander-in-chief from his office would open the doors to something even worse —the ascension of Vice President Joseph R. Biden.

First, host Bill O’Reilly asked Mr. Gowdy what he thought of the argument made by Judge Andrew Napolitano — that Mr. Obama’s proposed executive orders to grant amnesty to millions of illegals would rise to the level of an impeachable offense, The Daily Caller reported.

“What about [that?] … That this is an impeachable situation because it does go against Congress making the laws, because the president is making a new law ,” Mr. O’Reilly said…

In Alaska, Candidate's Call for Impeachment Resonates on Facebook

cnnjoemillerBy Matthew MacWilliams and Nicole Berns.

Is calling for President Obama’s impeachment smart politics for Republican candidates hoping to strike a responsive chord with Republican base voters and galvanize them? If the reaction on Facebook to Alaska GOP Senate hopeful Joe Miller’s call for a takedown of Obama is any indication, the answer is without a doubt “Yes!”

In last week’s debate between GOP Senate hopefuls in Alaska, Tea Party favorite Joe Miller insisted: “It’s time to impeach this president for dereliction of duty, selectively enforcing the law, and usurping powers that the Constitution does not authorize. He is willfully undermining the rule of law and creating chaos.”

Miller then challenged the other Republican Senate candidates to join him in supporting the impeachment of Obama. They did not.

The reaction to Miller’s takedown challenge on Facebook was immediate. Engagement on Miller’s Facebook page, as measured by “People Talking About This” data or PTAT, surged past 45,000 — 30 times his average over the last several months that we have tracked. By comparison, according to our tracking, Miller’s opponents in the primary, Republicans Mead Treadwell and Dan Sullivan, received no spike in Facebook engagement after the debate.

Why We Need Joe Miller

By Dustin Stockton.

The Tea Party’s movements efforts in the US senate have proven difficult. Senators like Rand Paul, Ted Cruise and Mike Lee have been doing an excellent job but have struggled because they lack of reinforcements. Two of our senators, Paul and Cruise are making it clear that they plan to run for president in 2016. Will the Senate’s best conservative wing man Mike Lee have a wing man?

Tea Party favorite Joe Miller seemed to be a sure bet after defeating establishment Senator Lisa Murkowski in the Republican primary of 2010. After a questionable write in campaign, Murkowski managed to squeak out a “victory” in the general election. Murkowski’s sour grapes were funded and supported by corny businesses who spent millions of dollars attacking the Republican nominee.

See Why This Reluctant Republican Says He Might Be Forced To Impeach Obama After This…

Responding to the recent House vote allowing a lawsuit against Barack Obama to move forward, Iowa Rep. Steve King addressed accusations that Republicans are only trying to score political points against the current administration. In a Fox News interview, the congressman asserted that something must be done to address Obama’s misuse of executive power, particularly in the implementation of ObamaCare.

“It’s not about mad, it’s not about hate, it is about the Constitution,” he told ‘Fox News Sunday’ host Chris Wallace. “And the president has just simply decided that he can amend the law has … his signature on it, the law says that the employer mandate shall commence and each month after December of 2013.”

Obama unilaterally updated that requirement, King noted, despite the fact that it had been proposed and passed by his own party and signed into law by his own hand.

“The Constitution is very clear,” he added. “Take care that laws are faithfully executed.”

Most Lawless President Ever Thinks He’s Being Bullied by Congress

Here’s the good news: We are less than 100 days away from the November midterm elections. Here’s the bad news: Every day we get a clearer vision of Obama’s strategy for holding onto power. The last thing Obama and his progressive socialist administration wants is having to contend with a House and Senate not under his control. His preferred solution would be a return to his first two years where there was no need for leadership or governance — just absolute rule.

So just as with the 2012 election cycle, it’s not about running on policies and results, it’s about attacking and demonizing the opposition.

As reported by The Hill, “The White House’s emerging strategy for the midterm elections is to run against a “mean” Congress. Obama has a past of running against Bogeymen. In 2008, he campaigned against former President George W. Bush even has he competed for the White House with Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), the GOP’s nominee.”

We recently witnessed an almost maniacal Obama in full campaign mode telling Republicans to “stop hating” and sarcastically demonstrating his belligerence by saying, “sue me.” To the fawning masses it may be amusing, but to the rest of us, it’s out of control.

All this occurs while our economy lags, gas and food commodity prices are high, our country is facing an illegal alien invasion, there is a global national security crisis in just about every region of the world, and Obama is running around like a spoiled brat. He demonstrates a complete lack of leadership and adherence to the rule of law, and only a desire to rule.

Miller Slams Obama's Unconstitutional Decision to 'Act Alone' on Border/Immigration Crisis and Use of Taxpayer Dollars to Fly Illegals to Alaska

10438981_866143176730895_688184825868931881_nToday, Joe Miller denounced President Obama’s plan to “Act alone” to address the nation’s border crisis, as yet another lawless act by a lawless administration. He also called out the President for using taxpayer dollars to fly illegals from the U.S.-Mexican border to Alaska and destinations throughout the United States.

“We are a nation of laws, and once again President Obama somehow believes he is above the law. He must be held to account,” said Miller. “The fact that this President finds it inconvenient to work with Congress, as the Constitution provides, does not mean that he has the authority to rule like a dictator. Now the media is reporting the Administration is flying illegal immigrants from Texas to Alaska on the taxpayer dime. Outrageous!”

Miller concluded, “The President swore an oath to faithfully execute the laws of the land and to protect and to defend the Constitution. He is not keeping his oath. The only remedy left to the people is to impeach him.”

Impeachment? 'All A Scam Started By Democrats at WH,' Boehner Says

“We have no plans to impeach the president; we have no future plans,” House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) told a news conference on Tuesday.

“This whole talk about impeachment has come in from the president’s own staff and coming from Democrats on Capitol Hill. Why? Because they’re trying to rally their people to give money and to show up in this year’s election.

“Listen, it’s all a scam started by Democrats at the White House.”

Boehner said the same thing earlier this month, but it did not stop the talk of impeaching President Obama.

White House adviser Dan Pfeiffer told reporters last Friday that he would “not discount” the possibility that Republicans might try to impeach the president: “I think Speaker Boehner, by going down the path of this lawsuit, has opened the door to Republicans possibly considering impeachment at some in the future.” (Boehner is suing the president on the grounds that he has exceeded his constitutional authority.)

Rush: Obama Trying 'Very Hard' To Be Impeached

By Joe Kovacs.

President Obama is trying “very hard” to coax Republicans into impeaching him. That according to talk-radio giant Rush Limbaugh, who says Obama’s actions letting illegal aliens into the U.S. is part of that strategy.

“He is really trying to goad the House Republicans into impeaching him. Really trying, I mean, very hard,” Limbaugh said on his national broadcast Monday. “It’s become obvious. It’s so obvious, he’s not fooling anybody.”

Limbaugh noted he happened to see a headline Monday on CNN which stated on screen: “GOP wants to impeach Obama.”

“I looked at that and I said, ‘No, that headline is a lie,’” the talk host explained.

“And so I turned on the sound, and that headline went with a story about Obama trying to goad the GOP into impeaching him. The graphic, the headline on screen said nothing about Obama. It just said GOP wants to impeach Obama. So even without them doing it, they’re gonna get blamed for it.

Mark Levin: Palin Right about Impeaching Obama

By Bob Unruh.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the GOP vice presidential candidate in 2008, says the immigration crisis Obama has created along the southwestern U.S. border is the tipping point, and she believes it now is time to bring impeachment articles against the president.

“It is time,” she told Sean Hannity on Fox News Tuesday. “A great awakening is due in this country … [that] he is not an imperial president and lawlessness will not be accepted by the American people.”

She cited a long list of the scandals under Obama’s tenure, but said the “tipping point” has been the “illegal immigration crisis created by Obama.”

“Impeachment is a message that has to be sent to the president,” she said, citing the president’s “lies.”

She rejected the suggestion that impeachment would be a losing issue for Republicans, and said it actually would be a bipartisan issue.

Washington Post: Obama’s Agenda Misfiring on All Cylinders

By Cathy Burke.

President Barack Obama declared 2014 a “year of action,” but it’s been anything but, with his lofty State of the Union goals to fix everything from immigration to the tax code either having failed, getting mixed results or pending.

Updating the president’s agenda for entrepreneurs, employers and the economy, The Washington Post reported Monday that many of Obama’s goals have largely been a bust.

For example, tax reform is “going nowhere fast,” The Post reported, noting that former Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus has stepped down to become ambassador to China, and lawmakers are split on just how to go about tax code reform.

As for immigration reform, the president’s concerted push came to a screeching halt in June, with Republicans sharply critical of the administration’s enforcement of current laws.

Raising the minimum wage has been left to states and cities, including Seattle, to take action, The Post reported.

Miller Blasts Obama Plan to Circumvent Congress on Illegal Immigration as Criminal; Calls on GOP Opponents to Support Impeachment

10513419_859097640768782_7393880810506220822_nToday Joe Miller decried the Obama Administration’s latest plan for unilateral action on the illegal immigration crisis as further evidence of the President’s lawlessness. He then called on his Republican opponents to support impeachment.

Miller’s comments come in response to a report in the Christian Science Monitor that the Obama Administration intends to block deportation and repatriation of illegals through executive action under a pretext of prosecutorial discretion. The plan would purportedly expand illegal immigrant “rights,” complicating law enforcement at the borders.

“We are a nation of laws, and this President continues to undermine the rule of law,” said Miller. “Where does it end? If he can decide which laws he will and will not enforce, can unilaterally create laws, and simply ignore Congressional action, then we no longer have a democratic Republic. Let’s call it what it is. It’s criminal.”

Miller continued, “This Administration’s refusal to respect our Constitution and the laws that our duly elected Congress enacts is beginning to resemble the ‘long train of abuses’ that the Founders said the people have a duty to resist. It’s time for the cheap talk to end. It’s time to hold the President accountable to the law, rally around our Constitution, and preserve the republic.”

“I’m calling on Mr. Treadwell and Mr. Sullivan to join me and patriots around the country in support of impeachment,” Miller said.

Miller Blasts Begich on Border Crisis, Says Palin Right on Impeachment

Today Joe Miller blasted Alaska’s junior senator, Mark Begich, for his leadership failure relating to the illegal immigration crisis.

“Silence is consent,” said Miller. “Mark Begich has not even deemed the crisis on our southern border worthy of a press release. There is no doubt that he is complicit with the President in encouraging and empowering this illegal invasion, both from a policy perspective by voting for amnesty, and by virtue of his refusal to hold Barack Obama accountable for dereliction of duty and usurpation of Congressional authority.”

Joe Miller is the only candidate in the race for US Senate to take an unequivocal stand on amnesty and border security. Mead Treadwell has embraced limited amnesty for illegals, and Dan Sullivan has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign cash from numerous big-monied pro-amnesty donors, including Paul Singer’s Friends for an American Majority, John McCain’s America First PAC, and Lindsey Graham’s Fund for America’s Future. He is also backed with independent expenditures from Karl Rove’s American Crossroads and the US Chamber of Commerce. Both favor amnesty for illegals.

According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform, ten thousand illegal aliens reside in Alaska, costing the state more than $138 million per year in public services.

Joe Miller is the only candidate to fill out the NumbersUSA candidate questionnaire. He has also been named a “True Reformer” for his strong stand for the rule of law and against amnesty for illegals.

While the illegal immigration crisis has very serious implications for the rule of law in America, other concerns exist as well, including public health–given recent reports of illness and disease among those crossing the border illegally–and national security. Many the Administration describes as “children” are actually teens who are affiliated with gang activity, and are connected to the Mexican drug cartels. The confirmed cases of Middle Eastern terrorists and Chinese nationals coming through our porous southern border are alarming.

Miller concluded: “The truth is, what we are facing with respect to the massive influx of illegals is not only a rule of law issue, it is a public health risk and a threat to our national security. There is no doubt President Obama and enablers like Mark Begich are responsible. Sarah Palin is right; it’s time to impeach this President for dereliction of duty, selectively enforcing the law, and usurping powers that the Constitution does not authorize. He is willfully undermining the rule of law and creating chaos.”

WATCH: Gen Boykin- Veterans Scandal And Benghazi Are Grounds For Impeachment

Standing resolute against the forces transforming the nation he loves, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) William G. “Jerry” Boykin thinks “the two most egregious violations of the trust of the American public” are the Veterans Affairs scandal and Benghazi — and in his opinion, these two cases rise to the level of impeachable offenses.

Speaking of the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012, General Boykin said, “If we will leave people behind on the battlefield and let them be overrun and killed by an enemy simply because it was politically inconvenient for us to respond to their calls for help, which is what I believe happened with all my heart. If we will do that, then the character of this nation is not the nation I grew up in and the nation I served for 36 ½ years. We have an obligation to people who serve this country, people serving our country.”

On the VA scandal, Boykin quotes John F. Kennedy: “You can tell a character of a nation by how it treats it veterans.”
