Medical Examiner Reveals Ruling on the Death of Jeffrey Epstein, Lawyers Vow to Conduct Own Investigation

By The Blaze. The New York City chief medical examiner said on Friday that they had concluded Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide in his jail cell, in support of the official account of his death. . .

The ruling comes six days after Epstein was found unresponsive in his Manhattan jail cell.

He reportedly tied the bedsheet around his neck with the other end tied to the top bunk of the bed in the cell. He got on his knees and leaned down with enough force to break several bones in his neck.

Epstein was charged with several counts of underage sex trafficking, and the case was widely believed to involve powerful and wealthy people. (Read more from “Medical Examiner Reveals Ruling on the Death of Jeffrey Epstein” HERE)

Jeffrey Epstein Autopsy Results ‘Show’ He Hanged Himself in Suicide

By The New York Times. The New York City medical examiner said on Friday that Jeffrey Epstein’s death in a federal jail cell was a suicide, confirming he had hanged himself. . .

But the chief medical examiner in New York City, Dr. Barbara Sampson, ruled out foul play. She released a terse statement saying that, after an autopsy and a “careful review of all investigative information,” she had determined the cause of Mr. Epstein’s death was “hanging” and the manner was “suicide.”

Three of Mr. Epstein’s lawyers, Martin G. Weinberg, Reid Weingarten and Michael Miller, challenged the findings and vowed to conduct their own investigation. (Read more from “Jeffrey Epstein Autopsy Results Show He Hanged Himself in Suicide” HERE)

Medical Professor: Epstein Injuries ‘Likely’ a Homicide; Pedophile Allowed Time Alone With Young Woman in Prison’s Attorney Room

USA Today Interviews Forensic Pathologist: Broken Hyoid Bone “Almost Always” Murder

By Morgan Hines. Cyril Wecht, a forensic pathologist, told USA TODAY that he’s skeptical [that Epstein committed suicide].

“Fractures of the hyoid bone are almost always associated with manual strangulation,” Wecht said. “Because a hand gets up high underneath the chin of the victim.”

Wecht said that multiple breaks or fractures in neck bones are rare to find in suicidal hangings.

A fractured hyoid is possible from any blunt trauma to the neck. However, it is more common in a strangling than in a hanging, according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information.

“Fractures of the hyoid bone in suicide hangings are rare and when you further keep in mind this was not a suicide hanging from stepping off a high ladder,” said Wecht. (Read more about the Epstein Injuries HERE)

Medical Professor: “More Likely” Epstein Was Murdered than Committed Suicide

By Law and Crime. According to a new report, Jeffrey Epstein‘s autopsy showed that the hyoid bone in his neck was fractured, indicating possible strangulation.

In a Fox News segment, Dr. Marc Siegal, an NYU Langone medical professor claimed that this bone being fractured increases the likelihood that Epstein was murdered.

“The hyoid bone in the neck being fractured and other fractures in the neck, make it more likely, and again, this is a percentage call, more likely that it was a homicide than a suicide,” Siegal said.

Siegal later qualified his statements saying that it could have been either a suicide or a homicide, but that his suspicions have been raised. He also said that the answer will be revealed as to the nature of Epstein’s death because “if someone is attacked, [one can] see signs of the attack on the body.” (Read more from “Medical Professor: Epstein Injuries ‘Likely’ a Homicide” HERE)

Jeffrey Epstein Spent Time Alone With Young Woman in Prison’s Attorney Room

By Forbes. The day after he was taken off suicide watch, disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein spent at least two hours locked up alone with a young woman, in a private room reserved for inmates and their attorneys, according to an attorney who was visiting the prison that day.

“The optics were startling. Because she was young. And pretty,” said the visiting attorney, who asked that his name not be used because he didn’t want to create friction with the prison administration. He speculated the woman could be a lawyer—NBC News has reported that Epstein paid members of his team to sit with him in a room for eight hours a day for attorney-client meetings, allowing him to avoid his cell.

The visiting attorney went to the Manhattan Correctional Center on July 30, a day after Epstein was reportedly taken off suicide watch and transferred into the Special Housing Unit (SHU). During the hours the visiting attorney was present, it wasn’t Epstein’s main lawyer, Reid Weingarten, or other named attorneys who visited him. Epstein’s Bodyguard Gives ‘Nervous’ Interview, ‘Backs Away’ From Previous Statements

In an interview with M.L. Nestel published by New York Magazine Wednesday, the former bodyguard of Jeffrey Epstein — the wealthy financier who was found dead in his cell from suspected self-strangulation on Saturday amid a series of unusual circumstances — contradicted statements Nestel said he made to him in a previous, unpublished interview conducted four years ago.

“To be honest, I didn’t expect that he’d try to back away from the assertions he made in our original interview — but he did,” writes Nestel in the lead-in to the interview. “He also seemed, it is safe to say, quite nervous about saying anything at all.”

The disgraced financier’s former bodyguard, former Russian UFC fighter Igor Zinoviev, told Nestel in the follow-up interview that he “never” talked with Epstein about the first case against him, which resulted in the billionaire pleading guilty to underage prostitution charges.

Nestel, who appeared genuinely surprised by the assertion, followed up by reading what he said was a direct quote from Zinoviev in their 2015 interview about Epstein’s relationships with teenage girlfriends: “So many time I tried to stop him. I try to tell tell him my opinion about that. He don’t listen to me. That’s the reason why I’m not working for him no more. I make him do that — to let me go.” . . .

When Nestel stressed that he “definitely” told him previously there were teenage girls involved, Zinoviev said, “No, no. It’s not that. He working like work-release on other stuff. And I just tell him, you know, he would order his girlfriends around, and I told him, ‘Calm down.’ It’s not just teenage girls,” Zinoviev replied. “I never see teenage girls in my life at his house. That’s what it is. That’s a misunderstanding. Completely.” (Read more from “Epstein’s Bodyguard Gives ‘Nervous’ Interview, ‘Backs Away’ From Previous Statements” HERE)

Jeffrey Epstein’s Lawyers Say Hulking Ex-Cop Attacked Epstein, Epstein Was Not Suicidal; Lawyer for Victims Agrees; NYC Mayor Says Death Wasn’t Due to “Human Error”

By NY Post. Jeffrey Epstein was confident he could fight the child sex trafficking charges against him and was in “great spirits” just hours before his jailhouse death on Saturday morning — even telling one of his lawyers, “I’ll see you Sunday,” The Post has learned.

The convicted pedophile also told his lawyers that the neck injuries he suffered in an earlier incident at the Metropolitan Correctional Center were inflicted by his hulking, ex-cop cellmate, which led the lawyers to request that he be taken off a suicide watch, according to a source familiar with Epstein’s case.

Epstein’s optimism behind bars — expressed during daily visits with his lawyers that lasted up to 12 hours each — was so great that it struck some of those around him as “delusional,” the source said.

“He thought he was going to win the double-jeopardy motion” that his defense lawyers were planning to file in connection with his 2008 Florida prostitution conviction, the source said. (Read more from “Jeffrey Epstein’s Last Words to Lawyer Before His Jailhouse Death” HERE)

Attorney Who Represented Jeffrey Epstein Victims Says He Knew Him and Is ‘Not Convinced That He Took His Own Life’

By Newsweek. . .West Palm Beach attorney Spencer Kuvin represented three of the more than two dozen women who had brought civil complaints against the financier in 2008 and 2009.

He told BBC radio that he knew Epstein as a litigant and a defendant and had met him at numerous settlement conferences.

“I am still not convinced that ultimately he took his own life….I’m not convinced because I knew him as a vain man, a very intelligent man who was a person who always defended what he did, even in light of all the evidence against him,” he told Beyond Today.

“He basically took the position, that no matter how old these young girls were, that they chose to be with him and he didn’t care (about) their age.

“So someone like that, I just find it very hard to believe that he would take his own life,” he added. (Read more from “Attorney Who Represented Jeffrey Epstein Victims Says He Knew Him and Is ‘Not Convinced That He Took His Own Life'” HERE)

Bill de Blasio Calls Jeffrey Epstein’s Death ‘Way Too Convenient’

By Fox Business. New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio joined a chorus of voices this week raising questions about Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged suicide, calling for a full, independent investigation into the convicted pedophile’s death — which he called “way too convenient.”

“The one thing I do not think is possible here is just pure traditional human error,” the Democratic presidential hopeful told FOX Business’ David Asman on Tuesday. “That’s the one thing I would rule out, given the prominence of the case and the nature of the situation. Which means something else happened. I don’t know what that something else is.” (Read more from “Bill de Blasio Calls Jeffrey Epstein’s Death ‘Way Too Convenient'” HERE)

Rudy Giuliani: Jeffrey Epstein death ‘completely incredible’

By Fox News. Speaking with intimate knowledge of the lockup where Jeffrey Epstein was held, ex-New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani says he considers the financier’s death perplexing.

Giuliani said Tuesday on “The Ingraham Angle” he knew the setup of the floor the convicted sex offender was held on and had been inside the facility at least 20 times in his former roles as a prosecutor and defense attorney.

“I don’t like conspiracy theories,” Giuliani told guest host Jesse Watters. “I don’t think we should engage in them yet because we need to know the facts, but the whole thing is completely incredible to me.” (Read more from “Rudy Giuliani: Jeffrey Epstein Death ‘Completely Incredible'” HERE)

Jeffrey Epstein Was in ‘Great Spirits Before His Death and Thought He’d Be Bailed Out’, as It’s Claimed He Was Taken off Suicide Watch After Telling Lawyers Injuries from His ‘First Suicide Attempt’ Were Inflicted by Cellmate

By Daily Mail. Jeffrey Epstein was in ‘great spirits’ before his death in a New York jail last week and even believed he would be bailed out so he could cooperate with authorities, according to a source.

The pedophile met daily with lawyers at Metropolitan Correctional Center from around 8am for 12 hours and believed his legal team would win an appeal to get him bail on charges of child sex trafficking, according to an insider.

It was after he was taken off suicide watch and given his own cell, allegedly telling his lawyers that his accused murderer cellmate Nicholas Tartaglione had inflicted the neck injuries that were suspected of being marks from a July suicide attempt. Jeffrey Epstein’s Pals Include Bill Gates; Israeli, South American Leaders; Mayors; Hollywood Personalities; Numerous Elites

By CNBC. Microsoft founder Bill Gates spoke more than once with Jeffrey Epstein, the late financier accused of child sex trafficking, to discuss ways to increase philanthropic spending, according to people with direct knowledge of the matter.

Epstein’s discussions with Gates included at least one meeting, which took place in New York in 2013, while Gates was still Microsoft’s chairman, these people said. It was unclear whether the two also spoke on the phone.

The discussions with Gates occurred years after Epstein served a 13-month sentence for a charge of soliciting an underage prostitute. Epstein was sentenced in 2008 in Palm Beach County.

The revelation is another piece of the rapidly growing mosaic depicting Epstein’s bizarre, confounding influence and ability to get into powerful circles. Gates’ interaction with Epstein is puzzling because the former Microsoft CEO is one of the richest and most influential people in the world. Gates could get philanthropic advice from anyone, and yet he corresponded with Epstein, whose transgressions were well known at the time. Israeli Politician Ehud Barak Often Crashed at Epstein Apartment Building, Neighbors Say

By The Daily Beast. The residents of 301 East 66th St. always knew Ehud Barak was there by the flashy cars parked outside and burly security guards in the lobby. The former Israeli prime minster’s visits were an open secret among the tenants of the Upper East Side building, which is owned by Jeffrey Epstein’s younger brother.

Several residents of 301 East 66th St. told The Daily Beast they had seen Barak in the building multiple times over the last few years, and nearly half a dozen more described running into his security detail. The building is majority-owned by Epstein’s younger brother, Mark, and has been tied to the financier’s alleged New York trafficking ring.

When asked about his stays at 301 E. 66th Street, Barak told The Daily Beast, “Despite the fact that there was no wrongdoing on my part, and that there is not even the faintest suspicion of wrongdoing on my part, I’m not going to address these questions because in the current political environment in Israel, the mere fact of my response to such a question is churned up as spin in the political game.”

“As a former prime minister I’m accompanied by bodyguards everywhere I go,” he added. (Read more from “Israeli Politician Ehud Barak Often Crashed at Epstein Apartment Building, Neighbors Say” HERE)

Ex-Miami Beach Mayor Says He Doesn’t Know How Jeffrey Epstein Got His Phone Numbers

By Miami New Times. To make something of a severe understatement, many questions remain in the wake of accused sex trafficker and pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s suicide last weekend. For Miamians, one particular question has gone unanswered: Why did the billionaire’s black book of contacts include 13 phone numbers for former Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine, a noted friend of Bill and Hillary Clinton?

Reached by text message yesterday, Levine told New Times he wasn’t sure.

“Think I met him possibly only two or three times, but briefly maybe over 15 years ago at events,” Levine wrote. “Never had a friendship or business relationship with him. Don’t remember ever giving him my full contact info but possibly did give him my contact card.”

Some of those 13 phone contacts include numbers for people listed as Levine’s driver and two housekeepers. Asked how Epstein obtained contact information for those people, Levine said he had no idea.

“[W]hen I read it, I was also surprised,” he responded. “I truly just don’t know.” (Read more from “Ex-Miami Beach Mayor Says He Doesn’t Know How Jeffrey Epstein Got His Phone Numbers” HERE)

Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘Teen Sex Slave’ Gave Foot Rub to the Simpsons Creator Matt Groening

By The Sun. Jeffrey Epstein’s former “teen sex slave” claims she gave the creator of The Simpsons a foot massage but almost vomited over his “crusty” toes, court documents allege.

Hours before Epstein’s suicide on Saturday morning, a US court unlocked court papers from a defamation case filed by alleged victim Virginia Giuffre in 2015.

In the explosive docs, Virginia, who alleges she was abused by the convicted paedophile from the age of 15, claims she met legendary cartoonist Matt Groening, 65, on the wealthy banker’s private jet.

She claims Epstein asked to give The Simpsons creator a foot rub while flying from Carmel, California, to Los Angeles.

Virginia, now aged 35, claims the alleged incident happened around 20 years ago when she was aged 16. (Read more from “Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘Teen Sex Slave’ Gave Foot Rub to the Simpsons Creator Matt Groening” HERE)

Epstein Traveled to Cuba at Castro’s Invitation, Former Colombian President Says

By Miami Herald. Millionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of sexually abusing minors and committed suicide last week in a federal lockup in Manhattan, traveled to Cuba at Fidel Castro’s invitation, according to Colombia’s former president, Andrés Pastrana, who said Wednesday he accompanied him on the trip.

“Amid journalistic revelations about horrifying and reprehensible sex scandals of financier Jeffrey Epstein, a trip of mine on his plane to Nassau, Bahamas has appeared, to transfer to the final destination of Havana, Cuba, invited by President Fidel Castro,” Pastrana said in a statement posted on Twitter on Wednesday. . .

The Colombian politician denied having been at Epstein’s “now infamous” private island in the Caribbean, off the coast of St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands, where the millionaire took famous guests allegedly to have sex with minors.

Flight records show that Pastrana was aboard one of Epstein’s private planes that left on March 20, 2003, from New Jersey’s Teterboro Airport headed to Palm Beach International Airport. Pastrana also appears in the manifest of another flight the next day from Palm Beach to Nassau International Airport in the Bahamas.

Records show Epstein, his girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, and model executive Jean-Luc Brunel, on both flights. According to the documents, they all returned to Palm Beach, without Pastrana, from the Bahamas on March 23. CONFIRMED: 4Chan Details of Epstein’s Death Posted 38 Minutes BEFORE it Hit the News; FDNY Denies Responsibility

By Gizmodo. Over half an hour before ABC News first reported that sex offender and accused human trafficker Jeffrey Epstein had been found unresponsive in his Manhattan prison cell, alleged details of his death appeared on anonymous message board 4Chan, Buzzfeed reported.

“dont ask me how I know, but Epstein died an hour ago from hanging, cardiac arrest. Screencap this,” the post, published at 8:16 a.m. ET on Saturday, stated. It was initially met with skepticism by other anonymous users on the site’s /pol/—short for “politically incorrect”—board, a subsection of 4Chan known for its affiliations with Trump . . .

According to a statement by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Epstein was found unresponsive in his cell at a New York detention facility at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. He was pronounced dead at a hospital sometime later that morning. ABC News reporter Aaron Katersky first tweeted about Epstein’s death at 8:54 a.m. ET on Saturday, while ABC News itself published its first tweet about the incident two minutes before 9 a.m.

In the first of five subsequent posts, which share the initial post’s ID, the author added additional alleged details, including shorthand terminology related to cardiac arrest and treatment that might be familiar to an emergency medical technician: “worked asystole arrest for 40 minutes, als intubated in the field/epi/2 liters NS infused. Telemetry advised bicarb and D50 in field. Pt transported to Lower Manhattan ER and worked for 20 minutes and called. Hospital administrator was alerted, preparing statements.”

Another post in the thread, published under an auto-generated ID different from that of the original poster, lays out other alleged details of the incident but quickly veers into conspiracy-theory territory, claiming that a van allegedly used to transport Epstein “did NOT sign in and we did not record the plate number and a guy in a green dress military outfit was in the back of the van according to the tower guy who let him thru the gate.” It’s impossible to verify whether they were posted by the same author. Jeffrey Epstein’s Death Was On 4Chan Before Officials Announced It — And Authorities Had To Look Into It

By Buzzfeed News. The New York City Fire Department looked into whether an employee posted about Jeffrey Epstein’s death on a notorious internet message board prior to officials announcing it to the public, BuzzFeed News has learned.

After telling BuzzFeed News the post was “under review,” an FDNY spokesperson said authorities “determined this alleged information did not come from the Fire Department.”

“An investigation is a formal act which brings about a process which includes interviewing witnesses, serving notice, determining credibility of witness statements — and that was not warranted nor did it take place here. This determination was made after a review of the incident. We looked at the information provided by [a BuzzFeed News] reporter and we looked at our own records and there was no match,” said FDNY spokesperson Frank Dwyer, who added that the FDNY’s Office of Healthcare Compliance conducted the review. “It doesn’t match our medical records.” (Read more from “Jeffrey Epstein’s Death Was on 4chan Before Officials Announced It — and Authorities Had to Look into It” HERE)

‘Shrieking’ Heard from Epstein’s Cell, Jail Cameras ‘Broken’, Guards Falsified Records; ‘Pedophile Island’ Wired with Video for Blackmail?

By Tim Constantine. Epstein had requested a meeting for Friday with the newest member of his legal team. That attorney, David Schoen, a longtime friend of Epstein‘s, could not meet on Friday but said the two had met earlier this month for the specific purpose of Schoen joining the defense team. Schoen says Epstein was “engaged” and “excited” during the meeting and very much looking forward to defending himself. The two were scheduled to meet again this coming week. . .

It isn’t unusual that there would be no camera inside a prisoner’s cell, but in the Metropolitan Correctional Center, cells on Epstein’s wing had video surveillance at the entry to each cell. News reports indicate the camera that would normally record who entered and exited his cell was broken. An amazing coincidence?

. . .Reports indicate Epstein had a cellmate that was a muscle-bound former police officer who now stands accused in four murders and that Epstein was fearful of him. In another amazing coincidence, that cellmate was transferred out just hours before Epstein was found dead. What does that former cellmate know? Have Justice Department officials spoken with him? Yes, Epstein’s Pedophile Island Had Dirt on the World’s Most Powerful

By Townhall. If all the other weirdness surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s death in federal custody last weekend had already generated widespread conspiratorial chatter and theories, several emerging reported details will turn up the volume to a low roar. We still have very few real answers, so allegations and rumors are flooding the zone. For example, was at least one of the guards watching over Epstein (and apparently flouting protocols)…not even a real corrections officer?

One of the two people guarding Jeffrey Epstein when he apparently hanged himself in a federal jail cell was not a full-fledged correctional officer, and neither guard had checked on Mr. Epstein for several hours before he was discovered, prison and law-enforcement officials said.

This development could play into the line of thinking that an under-staffed federal prison system, and over-worked employees, are a recipe for oversights, mistakes and abuses. Plus, as some have pointed out, America’s jails and prisons have a suicide problem — and preventing a determined person from harming themselves can be quite difficult. Two questions, though: Even if all of those factors are true, shouldn’t extra attention been paid to arguably the most infamous federal inmate awaiting trial, especially someone who’d already either tried to kill himself or suffered an assault while behind bars? And especially someone who potentially-to-likely had significant dirt on a whole cabal of wealthy and powerful people?

Jeffrey Epstein once bragged to a New York Times columnist about having potentially damaging information on rich, famous and powerful people, including details about their drug use and sexual tendencies. The billionaire and convicted sex offender claimed in an interview last year that a number of influential people had told him their secrets. Epstein revealed the details to columnist James B. Stewart in an interview at the 66-year-old’s Manhattan mansion on August 16 last year. ‘The overriding impression I took away from our roughly 90-minute conversation was that Mr Epstein knew an astonishing number of rich, famous and powerful people, and had photos to prove it,’ Stewart said. ‘The overriding impression I took away from our roughly 90-minute conversation was that Mr Epstein knew an astonishing number of rich, famous and powerful people, and had photos to prove it,’ Stewart said.

Shrieking Heard from Jeffrey Epstein’s Jail Cell the Morning He Died

By CBS News. On the morning of Jeffrey Epstein’s death there was shouting and shrieking from his jail cell, a source familiar with the situation told CBS News. Corrections officers attempted to revive him while saying “breathe, Epstein, breathe.”

Congress is the latest to start investigating Epstein’s apparent suicide over the weekend, with new reports raising questions about the federal jail where he was being held. One of Epstein’s guards at the Metropolitan Correctional Center on the night he died was reportedly not a regular corrections officer.

On Monday, Attorney General William Barr criticized the detention center where the disgraced financier was held. “We will get to the bottom of what happened and there will be accountability,” Barr said. “I was appalled and frankly angry to learn of the MCC’s failure to adequately secure this prisoner.” . . .

With Epstein gone, potential co-conspirators involved in his alleged sex-trafficking network are shifting into focus. British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell is one of four women accused of recruiting underage girls for sex. She’s denied those claims in the past and has not been charged with a crime. Maxwell is said to be Epstein’s ex-girlfriend turned business associate. Her current location is unknown. (Read more from “Shrieking Heard from Jeffrey Epstein’s Jail Cell the Morning He Died” HERE)

Corrections officers falsified reports?

By Mola Lenghi. Corrections officers may have falsified reports saying they checked on Jeffrey Epstein as required by protocol, according to a law enforcement source with knowledge of the investigation into Epstein’s apparent suicide. The Associated Press quotes a source familiar with the probe as saying surveillance video showed guards never made some of the checks noted in the prison log.

Multiple sources told CBS News that Epstein’s cellmate at the Metropolitan Correctional Center posted bail last Friday, leaving Epstein alone in his cell the day before he died. Another source familiar with the investigation said it appears Epstein had been dead one to two hours before he was found. (Read more about the death of the owner of Pedophile Island HERE)

Report: Jeffrey Epstein Used Bedsheet to Hang Himself

Accused sex child trafficker Jeffrey Epstein was discovered Saturday inside his New York City prison cell with a bedsheet wrapped around his neck that was tied to his bunk bed.

“The convicted pedophile, who was 6 feet tall, apparently killed himself by kneeling toward the floor and strangling himself with the makeshift noose, a law enforcement source said Monday,” according to the New York Post. . .

Epstein was facing charges of sex trafficking that stemmed from activities over a period of three years in the early 2000s. He served a 13-month prison sentence in Florida in 2008 after he was charged with similar offenses, and was forced to register as a sex offender. His attorneys unsuccessfully lobbied for bail and house arrest on the new charges, but a federal New York judge declared him a flight risk and a danger to the community.

New York City’s chief medical examiner Dr. Barbara Sampson said the autopsy on Epstein was performed on Sunday and stated she would release the determination upon “further information.” . . .

Cameron Lindsay, a former warden who worked at three federal prisons, said he is stunned by Epstein’s removal from the list. “For them to pull him off suicide watch is shocking. For someone this high-profile, with these allegations and this many victims, who has had a suicide attempt in the last few weeks, you can take absolutely no chances. You leave him on suicide watch until he’s out of there,” Lindsay told NBC. “It’s too early to say what I think should happen, but if this did occur as we believe that it did, some staff are going to have some hard questions to answer.” (Read more from “Report: Jeffrey Epstein Used Bedsheet to Hang Himself” HERE)

A New York Times Columnist Met Jeffrey Epstein to Talk About Elon Musk and Tesla

Sometime last summer New York Times columnist James Stewart met Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier who was found dead in a Manhattan jail cell over the weekend, at Epstein’s mansion on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss rumors that Epstein was advising Tesla chief Elon Musk following the blowback from Musk’s claim that he was close to a deal to take the company private. Epstein claimed he was advising Musk on finding a new chief executive for the company but said Tesla and Musk would deny if asked. They did. . .

Despite trying, Stewart could not pry specific from Epstein about his work with Tesla. But he did get to hear a lot about sex and drugs. Stewart said:

If he was reticent about Tesla, he was more at ease discussing his interest in young women. He said that criminalizing sex with teenage girls was a cultural aberration and that at times in history it was perfectly acceptable. He pointed out that homosexuality had long been considered a crime and was still punishable by death in some parts of the world…

He said people in Silicon Valley had a reputation for being geeky workaholics, but that was far from the truth: They were hedonistic and regular users of recreational drugs. He said he’d witnessed prominent tech figures taking drugs and arranging for sex (Mr. Epstein stressed that he never drank or used drugs of any kind).

‘Who Killed Jeffrey Epstein?’ Prime Time Conspiracy Theory Edition

By PJ Media. Good evening and welcome everyone to another exciting episode of “Who Killed Jefferey Epstein?” Tonight’s special Prime Time Conspiracy Theory Edition of the hit series is brought to you by Victoria’s Secret and our broadcast is made possible by a generous grant from the Clinton Foundation.

Tonight we will sum up the various conspiracy theories that have fascinated millions of Americans. How could a scumbag in a prison full of guards take his own life? Well, the answer is, of course, he didn’t. Jeffrey Epstein, the billionaire investor with the sexual appetites of a satyr, was murdered.

Whodunnit? The list is long, which is why this series will run for five years. Dozens and dozens of rich and powerful men took advantage of Epstein’s gracious invitation to visit various hideaways, including “pedophilia island,” where kids would put out for cash (that’s another game show on another network). But tonight’s special contestant, Donald Trump, has some thoughts on the question of the hour. The nation’s chief executive retweeted one of the most popular theories trending on Twitter:

Daily Beast:

It’s not surprising that Epstein’s death would be such rich fodder for conspiracy theories; he had documented connections with the wealthy and powerful on both sides of the political aisle. Court filings by his accusers allege a plot in which Epstein and his associates recruited underage girls and forced them to have sex with Epstein’s associates. Reports of the alleged crime ring fed into other, more speculative theories, including those with a strong partisan bias that only implicate Epstein associates from one side of the political spectrum.

Trump Shares Epstein Death Conspiracy Theory–So Did All These Democrats

By The Blaze. Conspiracy theorizing hasn’t had this big a day in the mainstream since Aunt May won best actress for My Cousin Vinny, but if you were to go by the “well I never” response in the media for a Trump retweet of a #ClintonBodyCount conspiracy theory following the death of accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, you’d think his was the first and only example. . .

The tweet hit all the big hashtags of the day, including #TrumpBodyCount, interestingly. But the “we know who did this” formula here is hardly out of the ordinary for Saturday’s festival of finger pointing. In fact, the text was downright average.

The tweet from Terrence Williams did, though, include video, which included lines like, “now for some odd reason, people that have information on the Clintons end up dead. And they usually die from suicide. Come on, now.” He also said never to tell him anything about the Clintons because he doesn’t want to “end up dead.” . . .

The Clinton conspiracy theory raged all day on Twitter, from thousands of accounts, both blue check and not, though aside from President Trump it didn’t get many takers in what you’d call the mainstream. But it wasn’t the only conspiracy theory floating around. There was another one, and it had exactly what you’d call mainstream takers. . .

NBC News tweeted their article about the Trump retweet. It had the promising-for-the-MSM tagline “President Trump contributes to the rampant promotion of conspiracy theories after Jeffrey Epstein’s death.” That might lead you to believe that NBC News covered the wide swatch of conspiracy theorizing overtaking social media for hours on end.
