A majority of Americans (62%) say they will trust the results of the 2024 election even if the candidate they support loses, which includes 82% of Democrats but only one third of Republicans (33%). More than eight in ten (81%) Americans believe there is a “serious threat” to our democracy including 89% of Republicans, 80% of independents, and 79% of Democrats. But when asked which party presents the bigger threat, there’s a split: 42% say Democrats, 41% say Republicans, and 8% say both. . .

Looking ahead to 2024, 36% of Democrats and Democratic leaning independents say their party will have a better chance winning the White House with Biden at the top of the ticket. 44% want someone else, and 20% are unsure.

Corporate media and liberal reporters have come together, united in a common cause as everyone from allegedly neutral reporters to far-left pundits have gone nuclear in an attempt to shut down three words: Let’s Go Brandon.

The phrase became an internet sensation last month after an NBC reporter at a NASCAR Xfinity Series race incorrectly reported that fans in the stands were chanting “Let’s Go Brandon” following a victory by driver Brandon Brown, when they were really shouting, “F–k Joe Biden!” . . .

But the chant’s popularity has infuriated the left, resulting in an onslaught of angry tweets, columns and hot takes from liberal pundits. NPR labeled the term “vulgar” and CNN’s Edward-Issac Dovere was so offended by the phrase that he called it “an inside joke telling the president of the United States to perform a sexual act on himself.” . . .

Washington Post reporters Ashley Parker and Carissa Wolf wrote on what they considered “vitriol” from Biden critics in a piece titled “Biden’s critics hurl increasingly vulgar taunts.” . . .

CNN has also complained about the chant on air when political analyst Maggie Haberman, who is also a New York Times reporter, spoke somberly about South Carolina Republican Congressman Jeff Duncan wearing a mask with the “Let’s Go Brandon” phrase on it. More than 50 percent of Americans disapprove of President Biden’s job performance and 71 percent believe the nation is headed in the wrong direction, according to a poll released Sunday.

The president’s job approval ratings have been tanking since April, when 52 percent gave him a thumbs up and 39 percent disapproved, according to an NBC News poll.

The latest survey, which follows the track of other polls, showed Biden underwater, with 54 percent disapproving and 42 percent approving.

The paltry poll numbers come just days before a crucial gubernatorial contest in Virginia pitting Democrat Terry McAuliffe against Republican Glenn Youngkin, a race that’s seen as a bellwether for next year’s midterms. ​

“Democrats face a country whose opinion of President Biden has turned sharply to the negative since April,” said Democratic pollster Jeff Horwitt of Hart Research Associates, who conducted the survey with Republican pollster Bill McInturff of Public Opinion Strategies. President Joe Biden’s first term is taking a bad rap — times four.

What started as one chart-topping anti-Biden hip-hop anthem has quadrupled into four hit tracks in iTunes’ Top 10 on Friday, as conservatives flock to buy the tunes and prove their purchasing power.

All four songs are titled “Let’s Go Brandon” — a phrase that has become a right-wing rallying cry in recent weeks.

The phrase originated during a NASCAR race in Alabama on Oct. 2. At that event, crowds were caught on camera chanting “F – – k Joe Biden,” but an NBC anchor insisted they were actually chanting “Let’s Go Brandon” — in reference to a win by driver Brandon Brown.

“Let’s Go Brandon” began trending on Twitter, with some right-wingers claiming NBC was involved in a cover-up by refusing to allow any criticism of the president on their network. The phrase has now been co-opted by conservatives, with several rappers creating tracks to troll Democrats. The American Trucking Associations (ATA) released new data this week showing a shortage of truck drivers has grown to historic proportions at the same time a supply chain crisis continues to spread just ahead of the busy holiday shopping season.

According to ATA, the trucking industry will be short 80,000 truck drivers by the end of 2021, a problem that could double to a shortage of 160,000 drivers by 2030. ATA attributes the shortage to a number of issues, including the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic that slowed or stopped training programs and DMV licensing of new drivers along with an increased number of retirements among its aging workforce.

Another issue highlighted by ATA is infrastructure, or a lack thereof, that limits truck drivers’ abilities to maximize productivity. Making matters worse is Biden’s vaccine mandate, something the ATA recently warned would make the driver shortage even worse as “many drivers will likely quit rather than get vaccinated.”

What’s the Biden administration doing about those issues? According to their infrastructure bill, they’re not taking the actions that would help. Instead of roads and bridges, as Townhall has covered, Biden’s idea of infrastructure is woke legislation designed to insert “equity” while demonizing the “dirty” industries that made America an economic juggernaut with Green New Deal policies that will further undermine the current transportation system.

In the name of “environmental justice,” Biden isn’t finding room to accommodate truck drivers’ needs. For example, instead of beefing up the infrastructure that provides locations for truck drivers to pull off on long-haul trips to sleep, he’s working toward making electric vehicle charging stations as ubiquitous as gas stations.
