Democrats Ready To Put a Wrap on Dragged-Out Spending Bill Talks

Democrats are eager to finish talks over President Biden’s sweeping spending bill, arguing the party is gaining little by dragging out negotiations.

The push to wrap things up quickly comes as months of haggling has led to pent-up frustrations that have dominated headlines and conversations around Capitol Hill. Democrats missed a self-imposed deadline of working out a framework by Friday, though talks continued into the weekend.

Even once Democrats lock in a framework, they’ll likely still have days of drafting and ironing out details. But after days of patience wearing increasingly thin, lawmakers are eager to take the first step and show that they and Biden can deliver on the massive spending package.

“It’s hurting Biden. It’s hurting the Democrats. It’s undermining the vision of all the accomplishments we will have as being highly significant. The frustration is people’s heads are blowing off. And they should be. It has to come to an end,” Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.) said during a recent interview with MSNBC. Here’s What the WH Is Saying About the ‘F**K Joe Biden’ Chants

The White House is claiming they are unfamiliar with anti-Joe Biden chants, such as the blunt and ever-popular “F*** Joe Biden” chant, and the more recent “Let’s Go Brandon” meme. The latter went viral following a recent NASCAR race, where an NBC reporter claimed fans were cheering on the race winner, Brandon Brown, when they were actually chanting “F*** Joe Biden.”

“Administration officials sought to downplay the phenomenon, and at least one claimed to be unfamiliar with the ‘Let’s go Brandon’ chant or its cruder cousin, though they are now chanted everywhere from football stadiums to concert arenas to local bars,” The Washington Post reported Saturday.

White House spokesman Andrew Bates claimed, “I had never heard of that chant until you explained it to me.”

Mocking the anti-Biden sentiment as fringe, Bates added, “I guess I’m not spending enough time on 8chan or whatever.”

Reacting to the White House denial, Donald Trump Jr. posted a screencap of the Post article and snarked via Instagram, “If they’re not familiar, let’s keep it going until they are.” (Read more from “Here’s What the WH Is Saying About the ‘F**K Joe Biden’ Chants” HERE)

Anti-Biden Rap Song Takes Top Spot on Itunes Chart

The anti-Biden rallying cry “Let’s Go Brandon” is taking over iTunes, with rapper Bryson Gray’s song poking fun at the president sitting in the No. 1 spot of the music service’s chart on Monday, ranking ahead of pop music superstar Adele’s latest single.

“Let’s Go Brandon,” which takes multiple shots at Biden regarding his chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal, cognitive ability and handling of the coronavirus, features Tyson James and Chandler Crump.

Gray’s “Let’s Go Brandon” music video features the rapper in a “Make America Great Again” hat with an “Impeach Biden” t-shirt as lyrics such as “Let’s go Brandon, when you ask questions they start banning.’” (Read more from “Anti-Biden Rap Song Takes Top Spot on Itunes Chart” HERE)

Bidenflation Stole Christmas: Consumer Prices Up, Retail Spending Plans Not

There are likely to be fewer gifts under Christmas trees this year thanks to inflation running so much hotter than expected.

Consumers plan to spend $997.73 on gifts, holiday items, and other non-gift purchases for themselves and their families this year, according to the annual survey released Thursday by the National Retail Federation and Prosper Insights & Analytics.

That’s around what consumers spent last year, the National Retail Federation said.

But prices are much higher. Compared with a year ago, consumer prices are 5.4 percent higher. Adjusted for inflation, holiday sending looks set to fall.

To put it slightly differently, if families this year spend just about what they did last year, they are going to have to settle for fewer gifts. (Read more from “Bidenflation Stole Christmas: Consumer Prices Up, Retail Spending Plans Not” HERE)

‘An Outrage Against Democracy’: JFK’s Nephews Urge Biden to Reveal Assassination Records

Two nephews of John F. Kennedy are calling on the Biden administration to release the final trove of secret documents on the 1963 assassination of the former president.

The records were scheduled to be made public Tuesday, but the White House announced late Friday night that it would delay their publication until at least Dec. 15 — and perhaps longer if President Joe Biden determines it’s in the nation’s best interest to keep them confidential.

“It’s an outrage. It’s an outrage against American democracy. We’re not supposed to have secret governments within the government,” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told POLITICO. “How the hell is it 58 years later, and what in the world could justify not releasing these documents?”

His cousin, former Rhode Island Rep. Patrick Kennedy, said the records should be released not because of his family, but because American citizens have a right to know about “something that left such a scar in this nation’s soul that lost not only a president but a promise of a brighter future.” (Read more from “‘An Outrage Against Democracy’: JFK’s Nephews Urge Biden to Reveal Assassination Records” HERE)

Hilarious Retraction: Washington Post ‘Forced To Admit They Lied’ After Pretending ‘F**K Joe Biden’ Chant Was ‘Let’s Go, Brandon’

The Washington Post, the leftist legacy media outlet whose motto is “Democracy Dies in Darkness,” admitted to publishing fake news about the public’s discontent with floundering President Joe Biden.

During a September speech by Donald Trump Jr. in Georgia, the crowd broke into a “F*ck Joe Biden” chant at the prompting of the former president’s son. The Post, in a story titled “Biden’s critics hurl increasingly vulgar taunts,” falsely claimed the crowd was cheering “Let’s Go, Brandon.”

As GOP strategist Arthur Schwartz pointed out on Twitter, “Let’s Go, Brandon” did not come about until October 2. The chant originated after NBC Sports reporter Kelli Stavast awkwardly attempted to run cover for the president as she interviewed NASCAR Xfinity Series race winner Brandon Brown after the race. As she spoke to Brown, the crowd in the stands spontaneously broke out in a chant of “F*ck Joe Biden,” live on the air.

Stavast absurdly claimed that the crowd was chanting, “Let’s Go, Brandon.”

“Brandon, you also told me,” Stavast said before being interrupted by the crowd. “As you can hear the chants from the crowd…” she added, before claiming that the crowd was saying, “Let’s Go, Brandon.”

DHS Building 455K Fence Around Biden Property Despite Halting Border Wall Construction

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is building a nearly half a million dollar security fence around Democrat President Joe Biden’s beach home in Delaware.

The move comes after the administration halted construction of the border wall on the U.S.-Mexico border and has canceled contracts related to the wall’s construction, which comes as the administration’s policies have been blamed for causing a historic flood of illegal immigration into the U.S. through the southern border.

The New York Post reported:

In September, the department awarded a contract of $456,548 to Turnstone Holdings LLC for “PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF SECURITY FENCING AT 32 FARVIEW, REHOBOTH DELAWARE,” according to USAspending.gov, an online database tracking federal government spending. The contract started Sept. 21 and is expected to end Dec. 31. Construction of the fence is expected to end by that date.

The DHS is listed as the main awarding and funding office of the contract while the US Secret Service is listed as the subagency. Additional information and details about the fence have not been publicly released.

WATCH: Biden Town Hall Prompts Mockery, ‘Beavis and Butthead’ Comparisons; Crowd Laughs as President Becomes Confused Mid Sentence; ‘Let’s Go, Brandon’ Goes to Washington

By New York Post. President Biden is being dragged on social media after a moment in his CNN town hall performance that has users comparing him to the cartoon “Beavis and Butthead.”

While listening to a question from CNN’s Anderson Cooper, Biden stood on the stage with his arms bent in front of him and fists closed. Dozens of netizens took to Twitter sharing an image of Biden in the position along with a picture of Beavis, who is known for the trademark jittery pose.

“Biden is straight comedy! Uhhhh Beavis……” former Australian NBA player Andrew Bogut tweeted with a laughing face emoji.

Social media personality and commentator Mike Cernovich tweeted a video of Biden with his arms bent and asked, “What is Biden doing?”

Dozens of Twitter users flooded Cernovich’s replies, making the comparison between the president and the cartoon character.

CNN’s Townhall Crowd Audibly Giggles as Biden Becomes Confused Mid Sentence

By Daily Caller. Members of the audience at CNN’s Thursday town hall could be heard laughing when President Joe Biden appeared to lose his train of thought.

Biden was giving an answer to moderator Anderson Cooper about the Democrats’ plan to expand Medicare – making it so that the program would cover dental, vision and hearing – and he pivoted mid-sentence, apparently trying to reel himself back in.

“One of the other things that Democrats are looking to do is to expand Medicare to include dental, vision, and hearing as well,” Cooper began, asking whether those three items would survive the negotiations going on within the Democratic Party. ‘Let’s Go, Brandon’ Goes to Washington

By Breitbart. Congressman Bill Posey (R-FL) criticized the Biden administration’s economic agenda on the House floor on Thursday and ended the speech by saying, “Let’s go, Brandon,” which is a nod to the popular anti-Biden chant.

“Based on the false promise that he would unify America, President Biden got into the Oval Office,” Rep. Posey said. “And my friends on the other side of the aisle gained a razor-thin majority in the House and Senate.”

[Warning: tweet contains explicit language.]

“But you know, we know, we all know, everybody knows the unification promise was a lie, and your majority is going to be short-lived,” he added. “So you must feel compelled to rush through a radical agenda before the midterms.”

Posey finished by saying that Americans want Democrats “to help put America back where you found it and leave it the hell alone. Let’s go, Brandon!” (Read more from “‘Let’s Go, Brandon’ Goes to Washington” HERE)

State Department Says 363 Americans Still Trapped in Afghanistan; Biden Admin Lied Claiming Only 100 Left Behind After Botched Withdrawal

At least 363 Americans are still trapped in Afghanistan — far above the administration’s initial estimate — weeks after the Biden administration’s botched withdrawal from the jihadist-controlled country, according to the State Department.

The State Department reportedly relayed the information to congressional staff Thursday, admitting it is in contact with 363 Americans stranded in Afghanistan. Of those, 176 reportedly want to come home.

This figure is far greater than the estimate offered by Secretary of State Antony Blinken last month, insisting that roughly 100 Americans were left in the country.

“We believe the number of those who have American citizenship, many of them dual-nationals, who remain in Afghanistan is somewhere around a hundred,” he told reporters in Qatar in September, claiming the department to be in “direct contact with virtually all of them.”

“We are working around the clock to help U.S. citizens, to help lawful permanent residents, to help at-risk Afghans to whom we have a special commitment depart Afghanistan if they so choose,” he said at the time, claiming that they had “successfully done that already.”

Patience With Biden Wearing Thin Among Black Leaders

Black voters and activists are increasingly frustrated with Democrats and the Biden administration in the wake of the party’s latest failure to advance voting rights legislation.

In his first days in office, President Biden signed a flurry of executive orders to advance equity throughout every aspect of the federal government, but his campaign promises were far loftier, and Democrats have struggled to make good on them.

Now, after nine months during which not a single voting rights bill made it to the president’s desk, pressure is mounting on Biden to turn things around as projections for next year’s midterms start to look bleak for Democrats.

NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson delivered a stark warning to Biden in a statement released after a failed cloture vote on the Freedom to Vote Act Wednesday afternoon: “Don’t forget that Black voters landed a victory for this President and this Congress, so don’t fail us again.”

White House principal deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre acknowledged Thursday that there have been setbacks with both voting legislation and police reform talks, but she highlighted other ways the administration is advancing policies important to the Black community.
