Impeach Joe Biden Calls Grow After Taliban Seize Power in Afghanistan; Biden Takes No Questions After Speech Defending Afghanistan Disaster

By Newsweek. Calls to impeach U.S. President Joe Biden have grown on social media following the withdrawal of most of the U.S. military from Afghanistan and President Ashraf Ghani ceding power to the Taliban. . .

Amy Tarkanian, former Nevada GOP chairwoman, tweeted that Biden could not remain “Commander In Chief” after the weekend’s events in Afghanistan.

“The Cabinet should immediately invoke the 25th Amendment. If they won’t do that, the Congress should move to impeach him. Him remaining as our Commander In Chief is a national security threat,” Tarkanian said.

Jerome Bell, a Trump-supporting Republican who is running for Congress in Virginia’s Congressional District, tweeted with a screenshot alleging that Biden lied about military intelligence on Afghanistan. The military intelligence allegedly informed him that for the months leading up to the U.S. withdrawal the Afghan army was surrendering in their “hundreds, sometimes thousands all over the country” to the Taliban. Biden said in a July 8 press conference that the Afghanistan military was capable of subverting the Taliban. Joe Biden Headed Back to Camp David to Resume His Vacation After Afghanistan Speech

By Breitbart. President Joe Biden will return to Camp David on Monday evening to resume his vacation after returning to the White House for a few hours to deliver a speech defending his handling of the troop withdrawals from Afghanistan.

The White House released an updated schedule for the president, confirming he would return to Camp David, where he was scheduled to vacation until Wednesday.

In his speech, Biden tried to emphasize the importance of ending the American-supported conflict in Afghanistan but failed to accept his incompetent execution of the troop withdrawals.

“I am president of the United States and the buck stops with me,” he said. “I’m deeply saddened by the facts we now face but I do not regret my decision to end America’s warfighting in Afghanistan.”

But the president did not take questions from reporters about his failure in Afghanistan, as thousands of Americans remain stranded in the country. (Read more from “Joe Biden Headed Back to Camp David to Resume His Vacation After Afghanistan Speech” HERE)

It Sure Looks Like Biden Was Going to Leave an American Behind in Afghanistan

So, with Afghanistan now back in the hands of the Taliban, we’re rushing to get the hell out of there. For all the talk of standing by our Afghan allies, Joe Biden decided to say ‘see ya later.’ Look, I’m no longer persuaded by the neoconservative argument anymore. Frankly, most of the country is sick of it. We’re done nation-building. We’ve seen how trying to transport democracy into regions that have zero historical ties to such ideals is a failure. American troops don’t facilitate its growth either. It’s too much blood and treasure. I think we should have left Afghanistan, but there’s a right way to do it. Like making sure we don’t leave key allies behind and their families—since these people would certainly be killed, valuable military equipment, arms, and hostages. Apparently, these items didn’t cross the Biden administration’s mind. It’s why you see Taliban fighters perusing through weapons caches we left behind. Being photographed near Humvees and MRAP we left behind. An F-16 flight simulator is in the hands of the Taliban, as are attack helicopters. And now, as the chinooks are flying into Kabul to get our people out, we apparently forgot about Mark Frerichs.

Frerichs disappeared in Afghanistan in early 2020. He’s a civil engineer and a US Navy veteran.

After Killing US Oil Production and Jobs, Biden Tells Middle East, ‘Drill, Baby, Drill’

No one ever accused Joe Biden of making much sense. Even more coherent presidents than our septuagenarian-in-chief have been known to issue contradictory policies, the product of feuding factions within an administration.

Even so, the news out of the White House last week that the Biden administration wants the members of the Organization of the Petroleum-Exporting Countries (OPEC) to produce more oil is baffling. Combine that with that same administration’s continuing efforts to restrict domestic production, and it is downright enraging. Biden is perfectly happy for there to be more oil produced in the world, as long as the jobs and profits don’t belong to Americans. . .

The OPEC announcement this week is more of the same. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan begins the statement by acknowledging that “Higher gasoline costs, if left unchecked, risk harming the ongoing global recovery. The price of crude oil has been higher than it was at the end of 2019, before the onset of the pandemic.” . . .

In the OPEC statement, he yells “drill, baby, drill” to Saudi Arabia, Iran, Venezuela, and the other members of the oil cartel. Foreign profits, foreign jobs, foreign infrastructure — all of these find favor with the current occupant of the White House. But American jobs? American profit? American infrastructure? No chance, not if it makes the Sierra Club sad. (Read more from “After Killing US Oil Production and Jobs, Biden Tells Middle East, ‘Drill, Baby, Drill’” HERE)

Big Surprise! Hollywood Celebs Blame Trump

Hollywood celebrities have sprung into damage control mode following President Joe Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, attempting to blame former President Donald Trump for Biden’s mismanaged and chaotic retreat that has left the country in Taliban control, including the U.S. embassy in Kabul.

Stars including Bette Midler, Sophia Bush, George Takei, and Rosanna Arquette have used their social media influencer status to assign blame for the fiasco to Trump, citing the former president’s 2020 agreement with the Taliban.

As Breitbart News reported, the Trump administration agreed to fully withdraw troops from Afghanistan by May 1, 2021, in exchange for the Taliban agreeing not to attack U.S. troops and to cut ties with al-Qaeda and other international terrorist groups.

But the Biden administration reneged on the Trump deal by extending the Afghan war by four months, before again changing the date for troop withdrawal to August 31. Biden’s prevarications prompted the Taliban to drop its end of the bargain, setting in motion the Islamic extremist group’s takeover of the country.

None of that stopped Bette Midler from trying to spin Biden’s debacle as Trump’s fault. “This should be laid at Trump’s fat feet,” the future Kennedy Center honoree tweeted Monday.

Former President Trump Calls on Biden to ‘Resign in Disgrace’; Watch Videos of Panicked Afghanis at Kabul Airport

By New York Post. Former President Donald Trump Sunday called on President Joe Biden to “resign in disgrace” over his handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal and other issues.

“It is time for Joe Biden to resign in disgrace for what he has allowed to happen to Afghanistan, along with the tremendous surge in COVID, the Border catastrophe, the destruction of energy independence, and our crippled economy,” the former president wrote in a statement. . .

Trump’s administration had negotiated the terms of the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan by May 1. Trump even considered withdrawing troops from the region before leaving office. . .

“I made early withdraw possible by already pulling much of our billions of dollars of equipment out and, more importantly, reducing our military presence to less than 2,000 troops from the 16,000 level that was there (likewise in Iraq, and zero troops in Syria except for the area where we KEPT THE OIL),” he said in an email to supporters in April. Where’s Joe? Biden Remains Hiding at Camp David as Afghanistan Collapses; Thousands of Americans Stranded

By Breitbart. President Joe Biden will remain hidden at his presidential retreat at Camp David through Monday, according to the White House, as the Taliban swiftly seized control of Afghanistan.

The president’s daily guidance for Monday indicated Biden would remain at Camp David for at least one more day, with no public events scheduled.

But a senior administration official indicated to reporters Sunday evening that Biden might address the country “in the next few days,” according to reports.

It remains unclear whether Biden will speak from Camp David or return to the White House to deliver his speech, the reports noted. He was previously scheduled to remain at Camp David until Wednesday.

Biden has not spoken publicly on Afghanistan since Tuesday after expressing optimism that the leaders of the Afghan government would rally to defend their country. (Read more from “Biden Remains Hiding at Camp David as Afghanistan Collapses” HERE)

US Government: ‘Thousands’ of Americans Stranded in Afghanistan

By Breitbart. The State Department and Department of Defense said in a statement Sunday that there are “thousands” of Americans stranded in Afghanistan after the Taliban declared victory over the U.S.-backed government earlier in the day.

“Tomorrow and over the coming days, we will be transferring out of the country thousands of American citizens who have been resident in Afghanistan, as well as locally employed staff of the U.S. mission in Kabul and their families and other particularly vulnerable Afghan nationals,” they said in the statement.

The Biden administration rushed in 3,000 forces over the weekend to evacuate Americans from Afghanistan, as the Taliban continued its rapid offensive across Afghanistan and headed towards the capital of Kabul.

On Saturday, Biden rushed in 1,000 more and then, on Sunday, an additional 1,000 — as the Taliban entered Kabul and moved into the presidential palace. (Read more from “US Government: ‘Thousands’ of Americans Stranded in Afghanistan” HERE)

Judge Orders Biden to Reinstate Trump’s ‘Remain in Mexico’ Policy

A federal judge in northern Texas issued a nationwide injunction on Friday, ordering the Biden administration to reinstate former President Trump’s Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP), or “remain in Mexico” policy. The lawsuit was filed by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, alongside Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.

U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk ruled the Biden administration must “enforce and implement MPP in good faith until such a time as it has been lawfully rescinded in compliance with the [Administrative Procedure Act] APA and until such a time as the federal government has sufficient detention capacity to detain all aliens subject to mandatory detention under Section 1255 without releasing any aliens because of a lack of detention resources.”

Moreover, to ensure compliance with the ruling, the administration must file a report with the court on the 15th of each month beginning Sept. 15, detailing “the total monthly number of encounters at the southwest border,” “the total monthly number of aliens expelled under Title 42, Section 1225, or under any other statute,” “Defendants’ total detention capacity as well as current usage rate,” “the total monthly number of ‘ applicants for admission’ under Section 1225,” “the total monthly number of ‘applicants for admission’ under Section 1225 paroled into the United States,” and “the total monthly number of ‘applicants for admission’ under Section 1225 released into the United States, paroled or otherwise.”

Kacsmaryk ultimately concluded that the federal government “failed to consider several critical factors, including the benefits of the remain in Mexico policy,” and failed “to show a reasoned decision” for canceling MPP. Biden Sends a Total of 5,000 Troops to Afghanistan, Blames Trump for Taliban Resurgence

President Joe Biden released a statement Saturday from the White House blaming his decision to surge U.S. troops to Afghanistan to combat the Taliban’s surging land acquisition on the policies of former President Donald Trump.

Biden said in the statement that he would send an additional 1,000 troops to Afghanistan to complement the 1,000 troops already in the country and the 3,000-troop surge he announced last week, a defense official told the Washington Examiner. The president said the move was necessary after he inherited a tenuous situation from the previous administration, claiming that Trump had cut a deal with the Taliban in 2019 that put them in a powerful military position. Biden also criticized Trump’s decision to roll back American forces stationed in the country.

“When I came to office, I inherited a deal cut by my predecessor, which he invited the Taliban to discuss at Camp David on the eve of 9/11 of 2019, that left the Taliban in the strongest position militarily since 2001 and imposed a May 1, 2021 deadline on U.S. forces,” Biden said in the statement. “Shortly before he left office, he also drew U.S. forces down to a bare minimum of 2,500.” . . .

The president said that he was forced to make a decision between honoring the deal with the Taliban established under the Trump administration and bolstering the U.S. presence in Afghanistan.

“Therefore, when I became President, I faced a choice — follow through on the deal, with a brief extension to get our forces and our allies’ forces out safely, or ramp up our presence and send more American troops to fight once again in another country’s civil conflict,” he wrote.
