A study found President Joe Biden has received a far larger amount of positive news coverage than former President Trump did during their respective first three months in office.
Between January 20 and April 9, 2021, the study found Biden received 59 percent positive press exposure while Trump was hit with 89 percent negative evening news coverage from ABC, CBS, and NBC during the same time period in 2017, according to MRC News Busters.
The study also discovered Biden received coverage amounting to only 726 minutes of all evening news airtime for the three stations. Trump, meanwhile, attracted the media’s attention far more with 1,900 minutes.
The media’s three most covered topics of Biden in the first three months were his coronavirus response (79 percent positive), the coronavirus spending bill (86 percent positive), and the southern border crisis (82 percent negative).
Trump, on the other hand, received 93 percent negative coverage on his immigration priorities. (Read more from “Study Reveals Media Bias Towards Joe Biden Presidency Compared To Trump” HERE)

President Joe Biden told a bipartisan group of legislators that he is “prepared to compromise” on his $2.25 trillion infrastructure plan at a White House meeting Monday.

Republicans present at the meeting include Utah Sen. Mitt Romney, North Dakota Sen. John Hoeven, Florida Rep. Carlos Giménez, and Texas Rep. Kay Granger. Independent Maine Rep. Angus King was also present along with five Democratic senators and representatives. Republicans have criticized Biden’s infrastructure plan for allegedly having little to do with roads and bridges, arguing that it is instead a disguise for unrelated Democratic party priorities. Biden and Democrats argue the definition of “infrastructure” ought to be expanded to include welfare, climate initiatives, and other programs.
Monday’s meeting is supposed to be a kick-off for the Biden administration’s larger push to create bipartisan support for his plan. Republicans and more radical Democrats have both proposed alternative versions to Biden’s plan, but the White House has yet to announce any specific concessions to either side. Arizona’s state Senate is set to begin a major audit of ballots from the state’s largest county after months of being reportedly blocked by county officials.
“It’s taken the Senate 2 1/2 months to win in court to uphold our right to issue subpoenas for election materials,” said state Senate President Karen Fann, “and another six weeks of researching to select the audit team to perform the full forensic audit.”
Arizona’s Republican-controlled Senate has had subpoenas to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors pending since Dec. 15 and has battled in court for the right to access to information and equipment needed to perform the audit.
A judge upheld the chamber’s right to issue the subpoenas, paving the way for a “detailed” review of the county’s ballots to include “testing the machines, scanning the ballots, performing a full hand count, and checking for any IT breaches.” (Read more from “Arizona Lawmaker Set For Major Audit Of 2020 Election Results After Winning Legal Battle” HERE)

President Joe Biden called for more action on gun control during his Friday press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga.
Biden touted his own history on the issue and said that while he had already discussed with Attorney General Merrick Garland what could be done by executive order, it would ultimately be Congress’ job to take action.
“No one has worked harder to deal with the violence used — by individuals using weapons than I have,” Biden began. “I am the only one to ever have passed an assault weapons ban. I’m the only one that ever had a 10-year assault weapons ban, and a ban on clips of more than ten bullets.”
Biden went on to say that his intent was to push Congress to follow up on the gun control measures he had already taken by executive order. (Read more from “Biden Calls For More Action On Gun Control” HERE)

It took him long enough, but President Joe Biden finally admitted that what is going on at the border is “a crisis.” As Ryan Saavedra of the Daily Wire reported, the president used the term after playing gold in Delaware, according to White House correspondents.

Biden on refugee cap (and refers to the situation at the border as a “crisis”): “The problem was that the refugee part was working on the crisis that ended up on the border with young people and we couldn’t do two things at once. And now we’re going to increase the numbers.”
As one can tell from the tweets, President Biden’s statements came in the context of discussing the refugee numbers. Initially, the refugee caps were going to remain the same from the Trump administration, but Biden quickly caved after pressure from the left, and has vowed to increase them. During his remarks announcing a new timeline to withdraw troops from Afghanistan after nearly 20 years of war, President Biden appeared to take credit for the decision to green-light the raid that killed former al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. . .
While Biden has different versions of what happened in the lead-up to Obama’s decision to authorize the raid that took out bin Laden, it is well documented that he was against going at that time.
Biden’s first version of his role in the discussion was best expressed in January 2012, when he spoke to House Democrats at a retreat. Biden at the time probably did not expect to run again for president. He was clearly trying to make Obama look like a gutsy decision-maker in the face of antsy aides.
“The president, he went around the table with all the senior people, including the chiefs of staff, and he said, ‘I have to make a decision. What is your opinion?’ He started with the national security adviser, the secretary of state, and he ended with me,” Biden said. “Every single person in that room hedged their bet except [CIA Director] Leon Panetta. Leon said, ‘Go.’ Everyone else said, 49, 51. He got to me. He said, ‘Joe, what do you think?’ And I said, ‘You know, I didn’t know we had so many economists around the table.’ I said, ‘We owe the man a direct answer. Mr. President, my suggestion is, don’t go. We have to do two more things to see if he’s there.’ ” (WaPo)

Chosen by President Biden to oversee immigration policy, Vice President Kamala Harris has been assessing the situation at the border.
The “root cause” of the migrant surge, which even some Democrats have admitted is a “crisis,” is not the administration’s policies, she contends. It’s “climate change.”
Harris hasn’t been to the border since becoming vice president, but she is planning a trip to Mexico and the Northern Triangle countries, where she says there’s a “need for resilience around extreme climate” due to “severe climate experiences.” . . .
The New York Post editorial board was skeptical of her assessment, noting she made no mention of “the corrupt governments that prevent economic progress — and are sure to pocket the bulk of any foreign aid meant to develop those economies or make their farms more ‘resilient.'”
“Nor did she touch on the gangs that terrorize the common people there, giving them more urgent reason to flee,” the Post said. (Read more from “Not a Joke: Kamala Blames Border Crisis on ‘Climate Change'” HERE)

A top election official in Georgia, where the 2020 results triggered allegations of fraud, is pleading with President Biden to quit lying about the state’s new election law.
And he warned that if Biden doesn’t, “Someone is going to get hurt.”
The comments come from Gabriel Sterling, the chief operating officer for the Georgia secretary of state, in a commentary for the Washington Post. . .
He continued: “So I plead with the president once again: Someone is going to get hurt. Your words matter. The facts matter. In the weeks and months after Nov. 3, my boss and I, along with local election workers, received death threats because we would not bend to pressure from one president to alter the outcome of the election. It is disappointing to see the new president engage in similarly dangerous hyperbole.”
“The president has also repeated the lie that ‘this is Jim Crow in the 21st century.’ Democrats have clearly realized this is a potential fundraising tactic regardless of the impact on voter confidence. It is no small wonder how a law, which election experts agree expands voting access to all Georgians, could be compared to the vast historical effort to disenfranchise and oppress Black Americans,” said Sterling. The Biden administration and congressional Democrats are struggling to sell the $2 trillion dollar infrastructure package that they hope to pass. Similar to the recently-passed COVID relief package, the bill is filled with spending line items completely unrelated to infrastructure; if passed, the package would also raise taxes in order to fund the legislation on the backs of taxpayers.
Republican lawmakers are overwhelmingly united in opposing the Biden administration’s proposal, arguing that Americans are not in favor of the “liberal wish list” included in the legislation. The bill includes provisions to fund parts of the Green New Deal, as Senate Republican Conference Chair John Barrasso (R-WY) argued on Tuesday.
Americans want improvement in REAL infrastructure. They don’t want their taxes raised for unnecessary liberal spending.

By Daily Wire. Fox News host Tucker Carlson highlighted on Thursday night President Joe Biden’s new push to restrict Second Amendment rights, warning that Democrats’ agenda is not about guns, it’s about having control over Americans.
“Gun control is not about guns. Gun Control is about who controls America,” Carlson said. “Is it the population as in a democracy? Or does all control go to a small group of authoritarians as in oligarchy? Those are the stakes in the gun control debate. It’s not about guns, it’s about who runs the country. So with that in mind, Joe Biden’s speech calling for more gun control should make you uncomfortable. Almost nothing Biden said was true.”

Biden Ignores Impact Of Defund-the-Police in Rise of ‘Gun Violence’
By WND. As he made the case Thursday for his executive actions on gun control, President Biden emphasized the daily toll of gun violence without acknowledging that the spike in violent crime in major cities has coincided with his party’s push to defund police. . .
Homicide data compiled from 19 cities shows a spike in murders immediately after the death of George Floyd last May, confirming analysts who attribute the record homicide rate to the “Minneapolis Effect,” WND reported in February. Manhattan Institute scholar Heather Mac Donald coined the term “Ferguson Effect” in the wake of the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, in 2014. As police backed off from discretionary enforcement, an additional 2,000 blacks lost their lives in 2015-16 compared to the previous period. The “Minneapolis Effect,” she said last summer was far worse, making the “Ferguson Effect” looking like “child’s play.”
In the weeks following Floyd’s death on Memorial Day, for example, homicides rose 100% in Minneapolis, 200% in Seattle, 240% in Atlanta and 182% in Chicago. In New York City, shootings more than doubled. . .
Among the programs cut was a specialized unit focused on curbing gun violence, which had been criticized for disproportionately targeting people of color. A month after disbanding the unit, a 27-year-old black man visiting from Sacramento, California, was killed, and critics believe he would be alive if the unit had remained in place.
On Wednesday, the Portland City Council responded to the further rise in gun violence with a $6 million plan. But the Portland Police Bureau won’t get any of that money, Instead, $4 million will go to community outreach groups that already receive city funding, and $1.4 million will go to the city’s Park Ranger Program.
