Top Georgia Official Warns Biden: Quit Lying About Election Law

A top election official in Georgia, where the 2020 results triggered allegations of fraud, is pleading with President Biden to quit lying about the state’s new election law.

And he warned that if Biden doesn’t, “Someone is going to get hurt.”

The comments come from Gabriel Sterling, the chief operating officer for the Georgia secretary of state, in a commentary for the Washington Post. . .

He continued: “So I plead with the president once again: Someone is going to get hurt. Your words matter. The facts matter. In the weeks and months after Nov. 3, my boss and I, along with local election workers, received death threats because we would not bend to pressure from one president to alter the outcome of the election. It is disappointing to see the new president engage in similarly dangerous hyperbole.”

“The president has also repeated the lie that ‘this is Jim Crow in the 21st century.’ Democrats have clearly realized this is a potential fundraising tactic regardless of the impact on voter confidence. It is no small wonder how a law, which election experts agree expands voting access to all Georgians, could be compared to the vast historical effort to disenfranchise and oppress Black Americans,” said Sterling. GOP Senator: Biden’s ‘Infrastructure’ Plan Is ‘Green New Deal In Disguise’ (VIDEO)

The Biden administration and congressional Democrats are struggling to sell the $2 trillion dollar infrastructure package that they hope to pass. Similar to the recently-passed COVID relief package, the bill is filled with spending line items completely unrelated to infrastructure; if passed, the package would also raise taxes in order to fund the legislation on the backs of taxpayers.

Republican lawmakers are overwhelmingly united in opposing the Biden administration’s proposal, arguing that Americans are not in favor of the “liberal wish list” included in the legislation. The bill includes provisions to fund parts of the Green New Deal, as Senate Republican Conference Chair John Barrasso (R-WY) argued on Tuesday.

WATCH: Biden’s Crackdown on Second Amendment Isn’t About Guns, It’s About Control

By Daily Wire. Fox News host Tucker Carlson highlighted on Thursday night President Joe Biden’s new push to restrict Second Amendment rights, warning that Democrats’ agenda is not about guns, it’s about having control over Americans.

“Gun control is not about guns. Gun Control is about who controls America,” Carlson said. “Is it the population as in a democracy? Or does all control go to a small group of authoritarians as in oligarchy? Those are the stakes in the gun control debate. It’s not about guns, it’s about who runs the country. So with that in mind, Joe Biden’s speech calling for more gun control should make you uncomfortable. Almost nothing Biden said was true.”

Biden Ignores Impact Of Defund-the-Police in Rise of ‘Gun Violence’

By WND. As he made the case Thursday for his executive actions on gun control, President Biden emphasized the daily toll of gun violence without acknowledging that the spike in violent crime in major cities has coincided with his party’s push to defund police. . .

Homicide data compiled from 19 cities shows a spike in murders immediately after the death of George Floyd last May, confirming analysts who attribute the record homicide rate to the “Minneapolis Effect,” WND reported in February. Manhattan Institute scholar Heather Mac Donald coined the term “Ferguson Effect” in the wake of the death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, in 2014. As police backed off from discretionary enforcement, an additional 2,000 blacks lost their lives in 2015-16 compared to the previous period. The “Minneapolis Effect,” she said last summer was far worse, making the “Ferguson Effect” looking like “child’s play.”

In the weeks following Floyd’s death on Memorial Day, for example, homicides rose 100% in Minneapolis, 200% in Seattle, 240% in Atlanta and 182% in Chicago. In New York City, shootings more than doubled. . .

Among the programs cut was a specialized unit focused on curbing gun violence, which had been criticized for disproportionately targeting people of color. A month after disbanding the unit, a 27-year-old black man visiting from Sacramento, California, was killed, and critics believe he would be alive if the unit had remained in place.

On Wednesday, the Portland City Council responded to the further rise in gun violence with a $6 million plan. But the Portland Police Bureau won’t get any of that money, Instead, $4 million will go to community outreach groups that already receive city funding, and $1.4 million will go to the city’s Park Ranger Program. Biden to Nominate Cindy McCain for Coveted Ambassadorship

President Joe Biden is preparing to name Republican Cindy McCain to a coveted ambassador post in Western Europe in what would be his administration’s first Republican appointee to a Senate-confirmed position.

McCain is undergoing vetting to be nominated for U.S. ambassador to the U.N. World Food Programme, a mission based in Rome, according to two sources with knowledge of the matter. This comes after the administration declined to install at least one member from the opposing party in a Cabinet position — a practice of three consecutive presidents (Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama) before Donald Trump broke the streak.

Cindy McCain, the wife of the late Sen. John McCain, gave Biden a critical boost in Arizona with her endorsement of the Democrat over Trump. Biden was the first Democratic presidential nominee to carry the state since Clinton in 1996.

McCain, 66, is undergoing a background check for the post. The Biden administration is expected to announce most of its ambassadors at the same time, rather than individually. (Read more from “Biden to Nominate Cindy McCain for Coveted Ambassadorship” HERE)

Imposter White House Reporter Manages to Infiltrate Biden Press Briefing

An online gamer successfully pretended to be a White House reporter and even managed to pose questions to President Biden’s press secretary, according to a new report.

A person who created an online profile as “Kacey ‘Lego’ Montagu” and presented herself as a correspondent for the fictitious “White House News” duped legitimate members of the White House press corps into asking her questions at briefings at least four times, according to a report from Politico.

The imposter is believed to be active in the online global gaming platform called ROBLOX, where users jokingly call themselves “Legos.” The person didn’t reveal his or her true identity when reached by Politico but expressed frustration with how the real press is asking questions.

“I love journalism, and I think the press corps is doing a pretty bad job at the moment, so I decided I would ensure some transparency and ask some questions me and some friends wanted the answer to,” Montagu told the outlet. Democrats Throw Roadblock in Front Of Biden’s Extreme Agenda

. . .Two Democrats have confirmed they are unwilling to change the Senate’s filibuster rule, which requires 60 votes to advance most legislation, Just the News reported.

The two Democrats are Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona.

Manchin wrote in a commentary this week that the filibuster “is a critical tool to protecting” the voice of small and rural states “and our democratic form of government.”

“I have said it before and will say it again to remove any shred of doubt: There is no circumstance in which I will vote to eliminate or weaken the filibuster. The time has come to end these political games, and to usher a new era of bipartisanship where we find common ground on the major policy debates facing our nation,” he wrote. . .

“When you have a place that’s broken and not working, and many would say that’s the Senate today, I don’t think the solution is to erode the rules,” Sinema said in a report in the Wall Street Journal. “I think the solution is for senators to change their behavior and begin to work together, which is what the country wants us to do.” (Read more from “Democrats Throw Roadblock in Front Of Biden’s Extreme Agenda” HERE)

WATCH: Biden’s ATF Pick Mocked Americans As Zombie Preppers for Buying Guns During Government Lockdowns

President Joe Biden’s nominee to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) made fun of first-time gun owners who bought up weapons during mass government lockdowns as cartoon doomsday preppers.

During an interview with Cheddar in April last year, gun control activist David Chipman, who was nominated Thursday to the executive post at ATF, said those purchasing firearms put “themselves and their families and danger.” Chipman also compared them to Joe Exotic, the Oklahoma zookeeper profiled on Netflix’s “Tiger King.”

“Most of the new buyers who went out to the gun store and bought a gun have no training whatsoever,” Chipman said. “In their mind they might be competent, they might think they’re die-hard and ready to go, but unfortunately they’re more like Tiger King.”

Caught In Another Lie: Biden Orders Commission to Study How Democrats Can Pack the Supreme Court

President Joe Biden issued an executive order Friday directing a commission of 36 scholars, former judges, lawyers, and others led by a former Obama adviser to evaluate expanding the number of justices on the Supreme Court.

The reportedly bipartisan commission has 180 days to provide a study to Biden examining and outlining “the genesis of the reform debate, the Court’s role in the Constitutional system, the length of service and turnover of justices on the Court” as well as “the Court’s case selection, rules, and practices.”

“The Commission’s purpose is to provide an analysis of the principal arguments in the contemporary public debate for and against Supreme Court reform, including an appraisal of the merits and legality of particular reform proposals,” the White House said in a statement.

Despite Biden’s previous refusal to admit that he wants to pack the courts and the corporate press’s inability to pressure him further on his position, the Democrat has faced mounting pressure from progressives to take action and power away from what they see as a conservative-controlled judicial body. During his time on the campaign trail, Biden signaled that Court reform was a priority at the top of his agenda because the system is “getting out of whack.” (Read more from “Caught In Another Lie: Biden Orders Commission to Study How Democrats Can Pack the Supreme Court” HERE)

Biden Proposes Spike In Federal Spending In Massive Budget Proposal

By New York Post. President Biden’s first annual budget proposal calls for a surge in federal spending on climate change, civil rights, IRS tax collections and the worsening border crisis on top of his massive, just-passed $1.9 trillion stimulus package and pending $2.3 trillion infrastructure bill.

The budget proposal calls for a 16 percent increase in domestic spending and a 1.7 percent increase in Pentagon spending in fiscal 2022, according to a letter to Congress from acting White House budget director Shalanda Young.

The combined price tag tops $1.5 trillion for discretionary spending, which doesn’t include obligatory spending on entitlements like Social Security or interest on the national debt.

“America has a chance not simply to go back to the way things were before the COVID-19 pandemic and economic downturn struck, but to begin building a better, stronger, more secure, more inclusive America,” Young wrote to Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) Biden’s $1.5 Trillion ‘Skinny’ Budget Includes Increases for Climate, Education and Social Justice Spending Programs

By Daily Caller. President Joe Biden sent his discretionary budget request for Fiscal Year 2022 to Congress on Friday, which includes historic increases across various education, climate and social justice spending programs.

In total, Biden’s “skinny” budget requests $769 billion for non-defense spending, a $105.3 billion increase from the previous year’s enacted budget.

Though the president previously criticized former President Donald Trump’s drastic increases in overall defense spending, Biden’s FY22 request also includes a $13.3 billion increase for defense programs, bringing the total to $753 billion for the year.

Administration officials say the defense bumps will allow the country to pursue “its strategic goals as we outcompete China” and provide pay raises for service members.

“The upcoming appropriations process is another important opportunity to continue laying a stronger foundation for the future and reversing a legacy of chronic disinvestment in crucial priorities,” Shalanda Young, Acting Director of the Office of Management and Budget, wrote Friday morning in a letter sent to Congress. “Together, America has a chance not simply to go back to the way things were before the COVID-19 pandemic and economic downturn struck, but to begin building a better, stronger, more secure, more inclusive America.” (Read more from “Biden’s $1.5 Trillion ‘Skinny’ Budget Includes Increases for Climate, Education and Social Justice Spending Programs” HERE)

White House Covers For Biden, Says He Doesn’t Believe the False Statement HE MADE About Background Checks

White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters that President Joe Biden did not actually believe the verifiably false statement about background checks he made during a speech on gun control. . .

Later, when Psaki was pressed on the issue during that day’s media briefing, she quickly folded.

“Is it the president’s belief that you do not have to undergo a background check when you are at a gun show?” asked a reporter.

“No, it’s not his belief,” Psaki replied. “He believes that background checks should be universal.” . . .

“Well, we know what his position is, right, so let me reiterate that background checks should be universal,” she continued, trying to steer away from Biden’s verifiably false statement.
