Biden Says Harris Was Ignorant of His Record in Debate Attack

Joe Biden questioned whether Kamala Harris knew his record when she confronted the 2020 Democratic presidential nominee during the primary over what she termed as “hurtful” comments on race.

During their first joint TV interview, granted to ABC, Biden and Harris were grilled on their tense exchange during the opening debate. There, in a viral moment, California’s junior senator told the two-term vice president his cozy relationships with known segregationist colleagues in the Senate and his opposition to federally-mandated busing in 1960 and ’70s were personally upsetting. . .

“I sense exactly where she’s coming from,” he said in the interview that aired Sunday. “I think a lot of people, and maybe even the senator at the time didn’t know the depth of my record.”

Harris didn’t directly answer how she overcame the hurt to accept his offer to join his ticket for the Nov. 3 general election. When pressed a second time, she described the line of inquiry as “a distraction from what we need to accomplish right now and what we need to do.”

“I want Joe Biden to be the next president of the United States. I believe in Joe Biden, I believe in his perspective,” she said. (Read more from “Biden Says Harris Was Ignorant of His Record in Debate Attack” HERE)

These Are Joe Biden’s Potential Cabinet Appointments

Sherrod Brown, the progressive senator from Ohio, says he’s talking with the Biden campaign about “where he needs to look and who he needs to look at” as he begins to form a potential administration. . .

Biden’s White House and his Cabinet would likely lean on his connections from the Obama administration, including institutionalists who are palatable to centrist Democrats. But in the same way Biden shifted left on policy in recent months in response to the pandemic, he is also taking advice from the progressive wing of the party.

Interviews with more than a dozen Democrats familiar with his transition process describe an effort by his campaign to assemble a center-left amalgamation of personnel designed to prioritize speed over ideology in responding to the coronavirus and the resulting economic ruin. Think Susan Rice, but also Elizabeth Warren. Pete Buttigieg, but also Karen Bass. . .

Among those advising Biden on the transition are centrist-minded establishment figures such as Tony Blinken, the former deputy national security adviser in the Obama-Biden White House, and Lawrence Summers, the ex-Treasury secretary and bane of progressives who said last week that he will not go into the administration. Ricchetti, Biden’s former chief of staff, is a former lobbyist. (Read more from “These Are Joe Biden’s Potential Cabinet Appointments” HERE)

Biden Would Re-Lock Down U.S. If Elected President

Former Vice President Joe Biden said in an exclusive interview with ABC “World News Tonight” Anchor David Muir on Friday that as president, he would shut the country down to stop the spread of COVID-19 if the move was recommended to him by scientists.

“I would shut it down; I would listen to the scientists,” Biden told Muir Friday, alongside his running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., during their first joint interview since officially becoming the Democratic Party’s presidential and vice presidential nominees.

Biden also criticized what he argued is the “fundamental flaw” of the Trump administration’s response to the coronavirus pandemic, that the nation cannot begin to recover economically until the virus and public health emergency is under control. Hunter Biden Makes Rare Appearance to Support Dad at DNC

After having kept largely out of the spotlight during his father’s campaign, Hunter Biden delivered a rare address with his sister, Ashley, as a curtain-opener to Joe Biden accepting the Democratic Party’s nomination. . .

They also told of what kind of president their father would be: “He’ll be there when you need him,” said Hunter, and: “He’ll tell you the truth even when you don’t want to hear it,” Ashley continued.

Hunter said his father would be the strongest shoulder you’d ever lean on and would make your grandchildren feel like what they have to say matters. . .

Hunter Biden has been a favorite target of the president and his re-election campaign due to his past dealings in Ukraine and China. His personal life has also been a distraction for the Biden campaign, which has led to headlines over his reported history with drugs and a child support case resulting from an affair.

President Trump and his supporters have often repeated the slogan: “Where’s Hunter?” highlighting the son of the Democratic nominee’s notable absence throughout the President Trump’s impeachment hearings and his father’s campaign. WATCH: Here’s How President Trump Responded to All the Promises Biden Made in His DNC Speech

Former Vice President Joe Biden formally accepted the Democratic Party’s nomination for president on Thursday night at the conclusion of the Democratic National Convention. . .

While attacking the legislative accomplishments of the Trump administration, Biden promised to repeal the landmark tax cuts passed by the GOP-led Congress in 2017. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) cut taxes substantially for every income group aside from those earning over $1 million per year, and the middle-class overwhelmingly benefited from the law. The data does not back-up Biden’s claim that the Trump administration’s tax cuts were legislated as a tax break for the rich; in fact, the TCJA is just the opposite, and Biden’s promise to scrap the tax cuts would hardly benefit working American families.

Obama’s White House Doctor: Biden ‘Is Just Lost’

The chief White House doctor to former President Barack Obama is worried about the mental health and stamina of former Vice President Joe Biden, suggesting that “something is not right” with the Democratic presidential nominee.

“The best way I can describe him every time I see him is that he’s just lost,” said Dr. Ronny Jackson, the former White House physician to Obama and President Trump.

“I won’t make any particular diagnosis about dementia. … But what I will say is that something is not right,” added the retired Navy rear admiral who recently won a House GOP primary in Texas.

And it is getting so bad that he is “not comfortable” with Biden being commander in chief. “I’m not,” he said of the top Democrat, set to be nominated by the Democratic Party for president on Thursday. (Read more from “Obama’s White House Doctor: Biden ‘Is Just Lost'” HERE)

Obama on Joe Biden: ‘Don’t Underestimate Joe’s Ability to F**k Things Up’ (VIDEO)

[Barack Obama’s] former vice president has been officially crowned the 2020 nominee for president for the Democratic Party. It’s a more muted event, as the convention has gone virtual during the coronavirus outbreak in the United States. It’s been a bizarre spectacle, to say the least. And yes, Joe has forgotten who is and where he was at times. . .

Yet, there has also been Biden bashing—and it’s from Barack Obama. The 44th president of the United States may have been all smiles in front of the cameras, but behind the scenes, the former president has been rather brutal regarding his running mate, always prepared to accept the fact that Joe screwed up in some fashion.

“Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f**k things up,” said Obama. He also reportedly told him “You don’t have to do this, Joe, you really don’t” regarding a possible 2020 bid. When the former VP threw his hat in the ring, Obama’s team was apparently very stern with the Biden crew, ensuring that the vice president didn’t embarrass himself or tarnish the Obama legacy with his antics[.]

‘The Moment Trump Won Re-Election’: Did That DNC Outro Cost Joe the 2020 Election?

This cannot be real. Did two hours of watching the Democratic National Convention cause me to lose my mind? President Trump was blamed by one woman for causing her father’s death from COVID. . .

But no, just as you thought this night of lunacy was over, there was this outro, which I missed, but everyone said was real. I, at first, didn’t believe it, but lo and behold, the official account for the Democrats thanked Billy Porter and Stephen Stills for playing “For What It’s Worth,” a signature protest song from Still’s Buffalo Springfield days.

Jill Biden’s Ex-Husband Is Accusing Her of Affair With Joe Biden

Jill Biden’s ex-husband has accused the potential first lady of having an affair with Joe Biden and says they lied about how they met in the 1970s, according to a bombshell new report.

Bill Stevenson on Monday accused the presumptive Democratic nominee of being a home-wrecker and says the feel-good story of how Joe and Jill met on a blind date is completely made up, the Daily Mail reported.

“I don’t want to hurt anyone,” said Stevenson, now 72, who is working on a book that includes the lurid claim. “But facts are facts and what happened, happened.” . . .

The Bidens, who have been married since 1977, have publicly said they met on a blind date in 1975 — after Joe became a widower and Jill’s first marriage had broken up.

The damaging Daily Mail report comes just days before Biden is expected to be officially named the Democratic nominee Thursday. (Read more from “Jill Biden’s Ex-Husband Is Accusing Her of Affair With Joe Biden” HERE)

New Poll: Biden Lead Shrinks on Convention Eve With Double-Digit Shift Trump’s Way

Presumptive Democrat presidential nominee former Vice President Joe Biden’s lead has evaporated in the past two months, a new poll from CNN shows.

Biden leads President Donald Trump by just four points nationally — 50 percent to 46 percent — and by even less across 15 battleground states that will determine who wins the electoral college. In those 15 states — Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin — the new CNN poll has Biden leading by just one percent, with Biden at 49 and Trump at 48.

The top line national number of a four-point race represents a double-digit shift in Trump’s direction from CNN’s last national poll in early June. That survey, two months ago, had Biden up 14 points — meaning this latest survey represents a ten-point swing Trump’s way as the summer has progressed heading into the conventions.

The Democrats begin their virtual convention, during which Biden and his running mate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) will be formally nominated as the presidential and vice presidential candidates, this week. The Republicans hold their convention the following week. . .

“The movement in the poll among voters nationwide since June is concentrated among men (they split about evenly in June, but now 56% back Trump, 40% Biden), those between the ages of 35 and 64 (they tilt toward Trump now, but were Biden-leaning in June) and independents (in June, Biden held a 52% to 41% lead, but now it’s a near even 46% Biden to 45% Trump divide),” Agiesta wrote. “Trump has also solidified his partisans since June. While 8% of Republicans or Republican-leaning independents in June said they would back Biden, that figure now stands at just 4%. And the President has boosted his backing among conservatives from 76% to 85%.” (Read more from “New Poll: Biden Lead Shrinks on Convention Eve With Double-Digit Shift Trump’s Way” HERE)
