“Unlike the African-American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things,” Biden said on the call that was released Thursday.

Biden believes Latinos have diversity of thought and opinion whereas African-Americans all think the same. The Biden campaign must have been thinking that surely Biden didn’t mean to say the racist thing he said when his handlers allowed Biden to expand on his controversial remarks from earlier. Oh, but were they mistaken.

“We can build an administration that reflects the full diversity of our nation and the full diversity of the Latino community,” Biden continued. “Now what I mean [by] full diversity, unlike [the] African-American community and many other communities, you’re from everywhere — from Europe, from [the] tip of South America, all the way to our border [in] Mexico, and in the Caribbean, and different background and different ethnicities — but all Latinos.”

Trump Claims Biden Is ‘Against God’ and Will ‘Hurt the Bible’

By The Hill. President Trump on Thursday claimed presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, a practicing Catholic, is “against God” as he levied a stream of attacks on his likely opponent in the November election.

Trump painted a grim picture of a Biden presidency during a rally-style speech to supporters on the tarmac of the Cleveland airport, claiming the former vice president would follow a radical agenda.

“Take away your guns, take away your Second Amendment. No religion, no anything,” Trump said, standing behind a podium with the presidential seal. “Hurt the Bible. Hurt God. He’s against God. He’s against guns. He’s against energy.”

In a clip released on Wednesday, however, Biden faced a rare, unfiltered question while participating in a virtual interview with members of the National Association of Black Journalists. When asked to clarify his remarks from last month about being constantly tested for cognitive ability, Biden, visibly annoyed, clapped back at CBS correspondent Errol Barnett.

“No, I haven’t taken a test. Why the hell would I take a test? C’mon man,” Biden said, agitated.

It didn’t improve from there. Biden pivoted to mocking President Trump, accusing the president of not being able to tell the difference between an elephant and a lion, an incident which has never occurred. . .

In a clip that lasted just over 60 seconds, Biden admitted that he blatantly lied about taking cognitive tests, suggested a Black journalist might be on cocaine for asking that question, falsely accused the president of being unable to decipher various mammals, and became barely intelligible while challenging the country to determine his mental fitness. Biden Confidants Reportedly See VP List Narrowed Down to 2

As presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden spends this week at his home in Delaware, holding one-on-one meetings with roughly half-dozen contenders who have made his shortlist for running mate, a new report speculates that the former vice president has narrowed his choices to two candidates.

Those two, according to Biden confidants who spoke with Axios, are Sen. Kamala Harris of California and Susan Rice, who served as national security adviser and ambassador to the United Nations under President Obama’s administration.

Last week, Biden told reporters that he would choose his party’s vice presidential nominee by “the first week in August.” But a source familiar with the process told Fox News on Monday that “an announcement isn’t likely this week.”

With the Aug. 17 start of the Democratic National Convention nearing, a leading Biden adviser said the former vice president would use the next week or so to “spend some time” with the contenders on the shortlist.

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, a co-chair of Biden’s running mate selection committee, said Tuesday in an interview with MSNBC that they have “amazing women that have been a part of this process. Communist Party Leader Endorses Joe Biden; Facebook Removes Pro-Trump Ad Aimed at Biden

By Breitbart. Communist Party leader Bob Avakian has announced his support for former Vice President Joe Biden in the upcoming presidential election.

Avakian, the founder and leader of the Revolutionary Communist Party USA, told his followers in a statement on Saturday that they should vote for Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.

“At this critical hour, every appropriate means of non-violent action must be utilized to remove this regime from power,” said Avakian in his statement. “And if, in spite of mass protest demanding the removal of the Trump/Pence regime, this regime remains in power when it is time for voting, then — using all appropriate means to work for the removal of this regime must include voting against Trump.”

Avakian went on to clarify that he does not want his followers to vote for a third party candidate, and that their vote must be for Biden.

“To be clear, this means not a ‘protest vote’ for some candidate who has no chance of winning, but actually voting for the Democratic Party candidate, Biden, in order to effectively vote against Trump,” wrote the communist leader. (Read more from “Communist Party Leader Endorses Joe Biden” HERE)

Facebook Removes Pro-Trump Ad Aimed at Joe Biden, Claiming False Information

By Fox News. A pro-Trump ad was removed from Facebook after claims that it contained false information, Fox News has learned.

America First Action PAC on Tuesday told Fox News that Facebook removed one of its ads, titled “On Hold,” which was placed in Arizona, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin on July 24. The ad was flagged by Politifact on July 29, according to the PAC.

“Facebook’s decision to take down this ad shows its anti-conservative bias,” America First Communications Director Kelly Sadler told Fox News. “America First Action has logged an appeal, but the threat of anti-conservative bias, targeting, and censorship remains ahead of Election Day in November and we must be vigilant in holding big tech, like Facebook accountable.” . . .

The ad in question was titled “On Hold,” and shows a woman calling 9-1-1 and being put on hold. The ad moves to show Democratic nominee former Vice President Joe Biden saying “yes,” with a “defund the police?” banner.

CNN Host Says He Doesn’t Believe the Polls After Previously Mocking Trump for Criticizing ‘Fake Polls’ (VIDEO)

CNN anchor Chris Cuomo said in an interview that he didn’t trust the polling showing Joe Biden ahead of President Donald Trump after previously mocking the president for stating the identical opinion. . .

“Biden is up. Michigan was huge for the president, Trump, in terms of winning, uh has a large number of white working class people that is supposed to be his stronghold,” Cuomo said.

“We’ve seen in the polls, you know, you’re too busy you’re not doing poll analysis, he is losing those white voters,” he continued. “Biden is gaining there most of all. And now Trump has pulled the ads. What do you think is going on with the pandemic politics in Michigan?”

Whitmer said that Michigan was going to be a competitive race despite the sign from the Trump campaign that they were going to devote fewer resources to the key swing state.

“See, I’m with you! I don’t believe the polls!” Cuomo responded.

Clinton Aide to Biden: ‘Whatever You Do, Don’t Debate Trump’; Biden Campaign Claim He’s Agreed to Debates, Trump Hasn’t

By News Thud. . .[Joe Lockhart] published an op-ed last week at CNN.com warning Biden that he should not debate Trump because the latter is prone to statement that fail the fact-checking test (original emphasis):

Whatever you do, don’t debate Trump. Trump has now made more than 20,000 misleading or false statements according to the Washington Post. It’s a fool’s errand to enter the ring with someone who can’t follow the rules or the truth. Biden will undoubtedly take heat from Republicans and the media for skipping the debates. But it’s worth the risk as trying to debate someone incapable of telling the truth is an impossible contest to win.

However, Biden has been criticized in past debate performances for his misstatements and outright fabrications. In a debate with Alaska Governor Sarah Palin in 2008, Biden made several false claims, including the odd claim that the United States and France had “kicked Hezbollah out of Lebanon.” (Hezbollah, an Iranian-backed terrorist group with an associated political wing, is still very much there, and is a major part of Lebanon’s government.)

Biden Campaign Says It Has Agreed to Debates Already, but Trump Camp Has Not

By Fox News. Presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden is “very much looking forward to debating Donald Trump,” the former vice president’s campaign deputy manager and communications director Kate Bedingfield told “America’s Newsroom” on Monday.

She added that the Biden campaign has already agreed to the upcoming three presidential debates, while the Trump campaign has not. . .

Trump supporters have poked fun at the former vice president for conducting many of his interviews from home. Trump’s defenders have also speculated about Biden’s overall health and Biden’s refusal to debate could provide more cannon fodder.

When host Sandra Smith asked Bedingfield on Monday if it’s a consideration for Biden to skip the debates all together, she said, “We are very much looking forward to debating Donald Trump” and putting the candidates’ “contrasts on display.”

“I would say there is one candidate in this race who has agreed to three debates and that’s Joe Biden. The Trump campaign has actually not agreed yet to participate in the debates set by the presidential debate commission,” Bedingfield continued. Recent Poll Shows Half of Voters Believe Trump Will Win; Trump Supporters Against Mail-In Ballots Over Voter Fraud Concerns

By Washington Examiner. While many in the media feed off polls showing Democratic challenger Joe Biden poised for a blowout election victory, the third survey this week showed the race much closer, with just 4 points dividing the candidates.

The just-released Emerson College poll showed Biden at 50% and President Trump at 46%. The survey of 964 likely voters has a plus or minus 3.1 percentage point rating of accuracy.

And, it added, “A majority of voters, 53%, still think Trump will be reelected in November.”

Most Trump Voters Say They Will Not Accept the 2020 Results If Biden Wins Because of Mail-In Ballots

Most Americans now believe that President Trump will not accept the results of November’s election if he loses to Joe Biden, according to a new Yahoo News/YouGov poll — and an even larger majority of Trump voters say they too will refuse to accept a narrow loss if mail-in ballots contribute to Biden’s victory. . .

Asked whether Trump would “accept the result” if he “loses in a close election” this November, 52 percent of Americans say no. Only 25 percent say yes.

Voters who support Trump, meanwhile, share their candidate’s unfounded suspicions about postal balloting, with a full 55 percent saying they would not “accept the result” if Biden wins “because of an advantage in mail-in votes.” Only 21 percent say they would accept a Biden victory under those circumstances.

The survey, it’s worth noting, was conducted July 28 to 30, mostly before Trump’s tweet about delaying the election. If anything, these gaps will likely widen in the wake of his incendiary suggestion. Biden’s Terrifying Promise: To Undo ALL Trump Pro-Life Policies If Elected

By Life Site News. In his Agenda for Women released Monday, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden promised to restore domestic and overseas funding to the abortion industry. The Trump administration has made an effort not to finance abortions with federal money.

Biden dedicated one section of his Agenda for Women to “Reproductive Health,” which is generally a reference to abortion. The former vice president under President Barack Obama said he “will work to codify Roe v. Wade, and his Justice Department will do everything in its power to stop the rash of state laws that so blatantly violate Roe v. Wade.” . . .

Joe Biden said he wanted to repeal the Hyde Amendment by reissuing “guidance specifying that states cannot refuse Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood and other providers and reverse the Trump Administration’s rule preventing these organizations from obtaining Title X funds.” . . .

Joe Biden Can’t Claim to Be a Catholic When He Deviates From Catholic Teachings on Abortion

For the Associated Press to quote someone identifying Joe Biden “as a very devout Catholic and person of deep faith” is a bold slap on the Catholic religion’s principles of belief (“Biden campaign shines a light on his faith,” July 19). As a lifelong Catholic, I follow the basic truths of my faith, which teaches that abortion is a sin. Joe Biden is a pretend Catholic. . .

Joe Biden in Latest Brain Freeze: 2020 Census ‘Now Two Censuses Ago’ (VIDEO)

Joe Biden suffered another startling brain freeze on Wednesday when he claimed the 2020 Census “is now two censuses ago.”

Biden was speaking to UnidosUS and recollecting when he first met the person with whom he was conversing:

“We had a relatively small population of–and we called it, at the time, Hispanic population, mostly Puerto Rican–American citizens already,” Biden said.

“But you know, the 2020 Census, which is now two censuses ago,” he continued, apparently meaning to say “later.”

On Tuesday, Biden got tongue-tied while reading a teleprompter, saying, “We can’t rebuild our economy and meet this crimate clisis.”

‘Squad’ Member Rashida Tlaib Refuses to Endorse Biden

By Townhall. When it comes to Joe Biden, Democrats have an enthusiasm problem, and Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib is the latest example.

In an interview with Newsweek contributor Steve Friess, Tlaib said she would not be endorsing the presumptive Democratic nominee for president. But Tlaib, who represents Detroit and is a member of the progressive “Squad,” is no friend of President Trump.

“If there is one person who wants Donald Trump out of the White House, it’s me,” Tlaib stated. “And I’m going to work extremely hard. . . Why? Because my residents cannot afford another four years of Trump. They just can’t.” . . .

“If the ultimate goal is to get rid of Donald Trump, that doesn’t have to involve me actually endorsing Biden,” she said. “My constituents don’t need to be bogged down in, ‘Is he the best candidate?’ That’s not what you have to convince my residents. Bernie Sanders Delegates Mount Convention Rebellion Over ‘Medicare for All’

By Politico. A revolt is brewing among Bernie Sanders delegates three weeks from the Democratic National Convention.

More than 360 delegates, most of whom back Sanders, have signed on to a pledge to vote against the Democratic Party’s platform if it does not include support for “Medicare for All,” the petition’s organizers told POLITICO. They argue that single-payer health care is an urgent priority amid a worldwide pandemic and the biggest unemployment crisis since the Great Depression.

“This pandemic has shown us that our private health insurance system does not work for the American people. Millions of people have lost their jobs and their health care at the same time,” said Judith Whitmer, a Sanders delegate and chair of the convention’s Nevada delegation who helped spearhead the pledge. “There’s people leaving the hospital now with millions of dollars in medical bills. What are we going to do about that?”

The warning is all but certain to set up a clash between Sanders’ most dedicated supporters and presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden, who opposes Medicare for All, at a time when the party is seeking to demonstrate unity ahead of its August convention. Though the petition signers have little chance of revising the platform to include Medicare for All support, they do have the numbers to draw attention to their protest and cause. Joe Biden Reveals When He Will Name His VP Pick

Democratic challenger Joe Biden on Tuesday charged that President Trump is “determined to stoke division and chaos” in cities where protests are raging in order “to revive a failing campaign.”

The former vice president, taking questions after a speech in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware, also reiterated that he would choose his running mate by “the first week in August.”

Biden has said for a couple of months that his running mate announcement would come in early August, ahead of the Democratic National Convention, which starts on August 17. The former vice president told reporters “I promise, I’ll let you know when I do.”

The presumptive Democratic presidential nominee – after unveiling the fourth component of his plan to revive an American economy flattened by the coronavirus pandemic — said “I think I have laid out the most details plans on the economy” and touted “if I’m elected and this passes, I’m going to go down as one of the most progressive presidents in American history.”

Biden spoke with reporters as violence continues to flare in some cities across the country. The demonstrations protesting police brutality and racial injustice were sparked by the death two months ago of George Floyd, a Black man in Minnesota who died in police custody. Protesters in recent weeks surrounding Portland, Oregon’s federal courthouse have clashed with federal agents under the control of the Department of Homeland Security.
