‘The Moment Trump Won Re-Election’: Did That DNC Outro Cost Joe the 2020 Election?

This cannot be real. Did two hours of watching the Democratic National Convention cause me to lose my mind? President Trump was blamed by one woman for causing her father’s death from COVID. . .

But no, just as you thought this night of lunacy was over, there was this outro, which I missed, but everyone said was real. I, at first, didn’t believe it, but lo and behold, the official account for the Democrats thanked Billy Porter and Stephen Stills for playing “For What It’s Worth,” a signature protest song from Still’s Buffalo Springfield days.

Jill Biden’s Ex-Husband Is Accusing Her of Affair With Joe Biden

Jill Biden’s ex-husband has accused the potential first lady of having an affair with Joe Biden and says they lied about how they met in the 1970s, according to a bombshell new report.

Bill Stevenson on Monday accused the presumptive Democratic nominee of being a home-wrecker and says the feel-good story of how Joe and Jill met on a blind date is completely made up, the Daily Mail reported.

“I don’t want to hurt anyone,” said Stevenson, now 72, who is working on a book that includes the lurid claim. “But facts are facts and what happened, happened.” . . .

The Bidens, who have been married since 1977, have publicly said they met on a blind date in 1975 — after Joe became a widower and Jill’s first marriage had broken up.

The damaging Daily Mail report comes just days before Biden is expected to be officially named the Democratic nominee Thursday. (Read more from “Jill Biden’s Ex-Husband Is Accusing Her of Affair With Joe Biden” HERE)

New Poll: Biden Lead Shrinks on Convention Eve With Double-Digit Shift Trump’s Way

Presumptive Democrat presidential nominee former Vice President Joe Biden’s lead has evaporated in the past two months, a new poll from CNN shows.

Biden leads President Donald Trump by just four points nationally — 50 percent to 46 percent — and by even less across 15 battleground states that will determine who wins the electoral college. In those 15 states — Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Wisconsin — the new CNN poll has Biden leading by just one percent, with Biden at 49 and Trump at 48.

The top line national number of a four-point race represents a double-digit shift in Trump’s direction from CNN’s last national poll in early June. That survey, two months ago, had Biden up 14 points — meaning this latest survey represents a ten-point swing Trump’s way as the summer has progressed heading into the conventions.

The Democrats begin their virtual convention, during which Biden and his running mate Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) will be formally nominated as the presidential and vice presidential candidates, this week. The Republicans hold their convention the following week. . .

“The movement in the poll among voters nationwide since June is concentrated among men (they split about evenly in June, but now 56% back Trump, 40% Biden), those between the ages of 35 and 64 (they tilt toward Trump now, but were Biden-leaning in June) and independents (in June, Biden held a 52% to 41% lead, but now it’s a near even 46% Biden to 45% Trump divide),” Agiesta wrote. “Trump has also solidified his partisans since June. While 8% of Republicans or Republican-leaning independents in June said they would back Biden, that figure now stands at just 4%. And the President has boosted his backing among conservatives from 76% to 85%.” (Read more from “New Poll: Biden Lead Shrinks on Convention Eve With Double-Digit Shift Trump’s Way” HERE)

Fox News Host Is Shocked the Biden Campaign Isn’t Doing This Before the Convention; Tensions Linger Between Biden and Obama Camps

By Townhall. “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace is in disbelief over the Biden campaign’s decision not to have any top officials appear on the Sunday talk shows the weekend before the Democratic National Convention. The veteran journalist called it “the damnedest thing [he’s] ever seen” in a Friday interview with Guy Benson on Fox News Radio.

“So I’ve been doing Sunday shows with conventions. I started on Meet the Press in 1988. I’ve been doing it on and off. For what? What is that? Thirty-two years,” Wallace said. “And it always happens that the Sunday before the convention, the campaign puts out top officials to preview the convention and to say this is what we’re gonna try to get accomplished.”

The Democratic National Convention, which will be virtual this year, is set to kick off next week, with vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris set to take the virtual stage on Wednesday and Biden slated sometime Thursday evening. Both will make their remarks from Delaware without a crowd, consistent with the Biden campaign’s basement strategy where the Democratic candidate largely refrains from the campaign trail and limits his exposure to the press. Friday marked the third day in a row that Biden and Harris have refused to take questions from the media.

Wallace told Benson that “Fox News Sunday” had assumed all week long that a top official from the Biden camp would make an appearance on the program. But Wallace was shocked to learn that no one from the Biden campaign was willing to appear.

“And at first I thought, well, maybe it’s because it’s Fox News and they’re boycotting us,” Wallace said. “No, they’re not putting anybody out on any of the Sunday shows.” (Read more from “Fox News Host Is Shocked the Biden Campaign Isn’t Doing This Before the Convention” HERE)

Tensions Linger Between Biden and Obama Camps Throughout 2020 Primary Campaign: Report

By Fox News. Despite the best-friend bond Joe Biden touts with former President Obama, tensions have lingered between the two statesmen over their vastly different governing styles, according to a Politico report.

To start, a number of anonymously sourced quotes from Obama leaked out throughout the 2020 Biden campaign where the former president allegedly expressed doubts about his former running mates’ fitness for office.

“Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f–k things up,” one Democrat who spoke to the former president recalled him saying.

When lamenting his own diminishing relationship with the current Democratic electorate, particularly in Iowa, Obama reportedly told one 2020 candidate: “And you know who really doesn’t have it? Joe Biden.”

Some Biden aides pointed out that, when Obama’s endorsement of Biden in 2020 finally did arrive, it didn’t have nearly the energy of his endorsement of Hillary Clinton. (Read more from “Tensions Linger Between Biden and Obama Camps Throughout 2020 Primary Campaign: Report” HERE)

Hillary Clinton Is Eager to Serve in Biden Administration

. . .Speaking at The 19th Represents Summit on Thursday, Clinton was asked if she would accept a job in the Biden administration.

“I’m ready to help in any way I can,” Clinton responded, “because I think this will be a moment where every American — I don’t care what party you are, I don’t care what age, race, gender, I don’t care — every American should want to fix our country… So if you’re asked to serve, you should certainly consider that.”

Clinton previously served alongside Joe Biden in the Obama administration as Secretary of State. Republicans were critical about her tenure at the State Department between her handling of the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack and the controversy over her private email server, which plagued her 2016 presidential campaign. . .

She also expressed her overwhelming approval of Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., as Biden’s running mate.

“I’m thrilled to welcome @KamalaHarris to a historic Democratic ticket,” Clinton tweeted Tuesday. “She’s already proven herself to be an incredible public servant and leader. And I know she’ll be a strong partner to @JoeBiden. Please join me in having her back and getting her elected.” (Read more from “Hillary Clinton Is Eager to Serve in Biden Administration” HERE)

WATCH: After Calling For Major Mandate, Biden and Harris Hurry Off Stage to Avoid Questions

Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden and newly minted vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris held their first “press conference” today in Delaware but didn’t take any questions.

Before walking off stage to avoid scrutiny, Biden and Harris each called for a nationwide mask mandate and also said every governor in the country should mandate the same. They said the mandate should last for three months, meaning it would end on November 13. The election is on November 3.

“Let’s institute a mask mandate nationwide immediately,” Biden said. “Every American should be wearing a mask when they’re outside for the next three months at a minimum.”

Can Dems Win With a Racist Rapist and Cop at the Top their November Ticket?; Biden Camp Weighs Keeping Kamala in Basement, Too

By Washington Examiner. Joseph R. Biden’s campaign is contemplating the advent of Team Basement.

Sen. Kamala Harris bounded back into the presidential race with much the same fervor that greeted her primary run before she quickly went from presumptive frontrunner to the first high-profile casualty.

The Californian looked great on paper but ended up crowded out by purity tests on the far-left and by Mr. Biden, whose built-in advantages of being former President Barack Obama’s loyal sidekick proved insurmountable.

The dilemma now facing Mr. Biden: Is Ms. Harris a better value on the trail or huddled with him in the basement out of concern that she could flop again?

David McCuan, professor of politics at Sonoma State University in California, said it is hard to predict what comes next based on Ms. Harris’s disappointing primary run. (Read more from “Biden Camp Weighs Keeping Kamala in Basement, Too” HERE)

Why Kamala Harris VP Pick Could Cost Biden the Election

By Fox Business. In what may go down as one of the worst vice-presidential picks in U.S. history, Joe Biden announced on Tuesday that he has chosen Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., to be his running mate for the 2020 presidential election.

Harris is exactly the opposite of what Biden needed in order to compete with President Trump in November. . .

Harris has been heavily criticized by many on the far left for her stances on some criminal justice issues while she served as the top prosecutor of San Francisco from 2004 to 2011 and attorney general of California from 2011 to 2017.

For example, she previously opposed a statewide police body camera mandate, fought against a reduction to California’s mandatory minimum law, and opposed the legalization of marijuana — a position she has since reversed. . .

Harris’s support for the Green New Deal and other socialistic policies such as a basic income program for most Americans and a $2,000 monthly “stimulus” check that would be paid out for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic, put her squarely outside of the political mainstream and moves the Biden campaign even further to the left than it has already drifted over the past two months. Joe Biden Announces Running Mate; President Trump Chimes In: ‘She was My Number One Pick’; Flashback: Kamala Harris Said She Believed Biden’s Rape Accusers

Kamala Harris Named by Joe Biden as His VP Pick

By NBC News. Joe Biden has chosen Kamala Harris, the prominent senator from California whose political career has included many barrier-breaking moments, as his running mate, his campaign announced on Tuesday.

The decision comes more than a year after Harris, who was also a 2020 Democratic candidate, clashed with Biden over racial issues during the first primary debate. If elected, she would be the nation’s first female, first Black and first Asian American vice president. . .

The announcement from Biden — which a campaign aide told NBC News came about 90 minutes after he called Harris to tell her — caps weeks of speculation and is Biden’s biggest decision to date as the presumptive Democratic nominee, a detail Biden himself noted in his announcement.

“You make a lot of important decisions as president. But the first one is who you select to be your Vice President. I’ve decided that Kamala Harris is the best person to help me take this fight to Donald Trump and Mike Pence and then to lead this nation starting in January 2021,” Biden wrote in an email from his campaign to supporters. Trump Slams Kamala Harris After VP Pick, Claims ‘She Was My Number One Pick’

By Fox News. President Trump, in his first on-camera remarks about the new Biden-Harris ticket, said he was “a little surprised” that Joe Biden chose Kamala Harris to be his running mate given her “very poor” primary performance — but said she was his “number one pick” to face off against.

During a White House briefing Tuesday afternoon — shortly after Biden announced Harris as his VP nominee — Trump lashed out against the Democratic senator.

The president, referring to her failed 2020 presidential run, claimed he was most surprised by the pick because “she did very very poorly in primaries, she ended up right around two percent.” And he drew attention to her campaign attacks on Biden at the time.

“She was very disrespectful to Joe Biden. It’s hard to pick someone that was that disrespectful,” Trump said referring to a debate moment to Harris’ blitz against Biden in last summer’s primary debates. Flashback: Kamala Harris Said She Believed Biden’s Rape Accusers

By The Federalist. Kamala Harris, whom expected Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden announced Tuesday as his running mate, said last year that she believes the women who accused Biden of sexual assault.

“I believe them and I respect them being able to tell their story and having the courage to do it,” Harris said in 2019. . .

After Reade’s accusations were publicized, Harris was criticized as a hypocrite for supporting Biden over Reade, especially after being quick to defend Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s accusations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. When Harris chose to support Biden instead of Reade, she was already considered on the shortlist as a potential running mate for the Biden campaign.

Trump Campaign Sets ‘Tax Trap’ to Smoke Out Biden

President Trump surprised many observers when he announced a unilateral change to the tax code at the weekend, suspending payroll taxes with a view to permanent cuts after the election.

Critics were quick to point out that major changes to taxes fall entirely to Congress, and the proposal has little support among either party on Capitol Hill. Trump conceded his plan would likely spark a legal battle.

But the presidential memorandum — signed at his New Jersey golf club on Saturday evening along with two executive orders and a second memorandum — comes as part of a strategy designed to showcase the president as a man of action and, in this case, lay a tax trap for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, challenging him to defend middle-class taxes.

A former White House official said it was designed to shift the focus on to Biden.

“The president has been keen on this for a long time, so it wasn’t conjured out of thin air,” the official said. “But at the same time, does it raise awkward questions about raising taxes for a socialist candidate who would rather stay in his basement?” (Read more from “Trump Campaign Sets ‘Tax Trap’ to Smoke Out Biden” HERE)

Looks Like Biden Can’t Remember How Much He Loves Payroll Tax Cuts

Former Vice President and presumptive Democratic Presidential Candidate Joe Biden is a big fan of payroll tax cuts, at least he was until Trump deferred payroll taxes on Saturday. Unable to do much from his basement in Delaware, Biden is complaining about the executive action President Trump undertook to provide relief to millions of Americans in the midst of the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic. . .

In a 2011 op-ed, then-Vice President Joe Biden was extolling payroll tax cuts as “real money for real people,” calling the cuts “extra money” that Americans “can use to help with bills and groceries, or even to upgrade appliances or make their home more energy efficient.” Biden wrote that payroll tax cuts will fuel the economy, “spurring growth and creating jobs.”

One would think such a fervent believer in the miracles of payroll tax cuts would be over the moon with the president’s executive order. Instead, Biden now opposes payroll tax cuts, saying the president’s deferral undermines the solvency of Social Security. But check out what Biden said about Social Security and payroll tax cuts back in 2011:

“Critics have been spreading misinformation that the payroll tax cut will threaten the solvency of Social Security,” Biden wrote. “That’s just plain wrong.” (Read more from “Looks Like Biden Can’t Remember How Much He Loves Payroll Tax Cuts” HERE)
