Court Document Proves Biden Team Knew About Harassment Allegation

By Matt Fountain. A court document from 1996 shows former Senate staffer Tara Reade told her ex-husband she was sexually harassed while working for Joe Biden in 1993.

The declaration — exclusively obtained by The Tribune in San Luis Obispo, California — does not say Biden committed the harassment nor does it mention Reade’s more recent allegations of sexual assault.

Reade’s then-husband Theodore Dronen wrote the court declaration. Dronen at the time was contesting a restraining order Reade filed against him days after he filed for divorce, Superior Court records show.

In it, he writes Reade told him about “a problem she was having at work regarding sexual harassment, in U.S. Senator Joe Biden’s office.” (Read more from “Court Document Proves Biden Team Knew About Harassment Allegation” HERE)

Joe Biden to Scale up Campaign as Democratic Anxiety Grows Ahead of General Election Fight With Trump

By ABC News. Former Vice President Joe Biden has approved a series of new hires that will significantly expand his presidential campaign and could begin to quell concerns among a growing chorus of Democrats that are anxious for his team to scale up ahead of the general election fight with President Donald Trump.

The staffing includes new senior advisers with a focus on the virtual side of campaigning, all coming from former competitors-turned-endorsers’ campaigns.

Caitlin Mitchell, the former chief managing officer of Warren for President, is joining the campaign as a senior adviser for digital, and will advise on digital strategy and help the campaign as they quickly scale up their in-house teams, according to a Biden campaign aide.

Rob Flaherty, the Biden campaign’s digital director, confirmed Friday that the campaign will be doubling the size of its digital team, which stood at roughly 25 people throughout the primary, a move that comes amid concerns over the reach and manpower possessed by Trump’s well-stocked reelection effort. Biden Accuser: I’d ‘Absolutely’ Testify Under Oath (VIDEO)

During a portion of an interview with Megyn Kelly released on Thursday, Tara Reade, who has accused 2020 Democratic presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden of sexual assault said that she would testify under oath and subject herself to cross-examination and would take a polygraph, but only if Biden does so.

Reade began by saying, “I believe in the survivors that have come forward like Blasey Ford and the other ones that have come forward. I do stand with them. I think that there needs to be a conversation, rather than a hashtag.”

Kelly later asked, “If I can just go back for one second to Blasey Ford, some of those who supported her but now have found a reason not to support you say, well, she was under oath. Would you go under oath?”

Reade responded, “Absolutely.” (Read more from “Biden Accuser: I’d ‘Absolutely’ Testify Under Oath” HERE)

RNC Chairwoman: Networks That Ignored Biden Allegation Should Be Barred From Presidential Debates

Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel is calling for the networks that ignored the sexual assault allegation against former Vice President Joe Biden to be barred from hosting any 2020 presidential debate.

Biden has been accused of both sexually harassing and sexually assaulting Tara Reade, a woman who worked in his Senate office in the 1990s. She alleges that Biden pushed her up against a wall and penetrated her with his fingers without her consent, but he has denied the allegation.

McDaniel, in a Sunday morning appearance on ABC News’s This Week, brought up the lack of media coverage surrounding the allegation early on, contrasting the matter with coverage of sexual misconduct allegations levied against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation process.

“Brett Kavanaugh, every accuser was put on TV. It was wall-to-wall coverage. They went into his high school yearbook. They said he needed an FBI investigation … And then you go to Joe Biden. Five weeks of silence, 19 interviews without a single question. He won’t let people go into his records in the University of Delaware. They’re calling on the DNC to do the investigation,” she explained.

“I think any outlet that conducted those 19 interviews and didn’t ask a single question should be disqualified from conducting any part of a presidential debate,” she added. (Read more from “RNC Chairwoman: Networks That Ignored Biden Allegation Should Be Barred From Presidential Debates” HERE)

WATCH: Joe Biden Claims ‘600,000 Dead’ From Coronavirus, Accuses Trump of Not Having ‘Intercourse’ With World; Trump Says Biden’s VP Pick Should Be Warren

By Breitbart. Joe Biden’s mental blunders during a Friday MSNBC appearance were overshadowed by his denial of Tara Reade’s sexual assault claims, but they continue to underscore his apparent cognitive decline.

Biden twice told Morning Joe that 600,000 Americans have died from the coronavirus.

“Over 600,000 dead, many of them who are those workers, those nurses, doctors, some of them,” he said. . .

For a second time, he awkwardly used the word “intercourse,” when he seemingly wanted to say “discourse” or “interaction.”

“The pandemic is that the president has no intercourse whatsoever with the rest of the count— uh, the world,” he said.

Trump says Warren ‘responsible’ for Biden’s candidacy, should make her VP pick

By New York Post. President Trump has announced his unlikely pick for Joe Biden’s veep: Elizabeth Warren.

In an interview with The Post in the Oval Office on Monday, Trump said he believed the presumptive Democratic nominee “owes” the Massachusetts senator the top spot on his ticket because he never would have gotten this far without her help.

“I think Elizabeth Warren is responsible for Joe Biden’s win because she didn’t drop out and [Vermont Sen.] Bernie [Sanders] would have won every single state on Super Tuesday,” Trump said, claiming Warren split the progressive vote.

“I think he should pick Elizabeth Warren because Elizabeth Warren, more than any other person, including [South Carolina Rep.] Jim Clyburn and including anybody you can name, is responsible for the win of Joe Biden,” he continued, referring to Clyburn’s campaign-reviving February endorsement of Biden. Left vs. Far-Left: Tara Reade Allegations Against Joe Biden Divide Democrats; Secretary of Senate Says She Cannot Comply With Biden Request to Release Records on Purported Complaint

By Washington Examiner. Denied sexual misconduct claims against Joe Biden have splintered the Democrats, just as the party had started bridging divides exposed by a long, competitive primary.

After hiding behind campaign spokespeople, Biden, the presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential nominee, last week bowed to mounting pressure and publicly and directly refuted allegations made by Tara Reade, 56, against him.

But Biden’s vehement denial has failed to quiet discontent expressed by more liberal Democrats, particularly those once in Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’s camp, who don’t want a candidate marred with accusations similar to those leveled at President Trump last cycle. . .

New York Times opinion writer Elizabeth Bruenig distilled the argument in a piece called, “Democrats, It’s Time To Consider a Plan B,” which earned her both praise and rebukes online, including criticism from Neera Tanden, president of left-wing think tank Center for American Progress and a longtime Clinton confidante.

Comments such as Tanden’s have, in turn, drawn their own condemnations as Democrats try to unite ahead of November’s general election in order to turn out a winning coalition of voters.

Secretary of Senate Says She Cannot Comply With Biden Request to Release Records on Purported Reade Complaint

By Fox News. The secretary of the Senate on Monday said her office cannot comply with a request by presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden to order a search for a purported complaint made by the woman accusing him of sexual assault when he was a senator.

In a statement, Julie Adams said their legal counsel has reviewed the relevant statute governing such records and advised that “the Secretary has no discretion to disclose any such information as requested in Vice President Biden’s letter of May 1.” . . .

“Based on the law’s strict confidentiality requirements (Section 313) and the Senate’s own direction that disclosure of Senate Records is not authorized if prohibited by law (Senate Resolution 474, 96th Congress, Section 3(a)), Senate Legal Counsel advises that the Secretary has no discretion to disclose any such information as requested in Vice President Biden’s letter of May 1,” Adams said. Poll Reveals Who Democrats Want to Be Biden’s VP

Sen. Elizabeth Warren is the heavy favorite among Democrats to be presumptive presidential nominee Joe Biden’s running mate, a new poll finds.

According to the poll conducted by Data for Progress, 31 percent of likely Democratic voters want Biden to pick the Massachusetts senator.

Other options lagged far behind. Sen. Kamala Harris of California was preferred by 18 percent of respondents. Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams both had 10 percent support. . .

Asked which option was most “ready” to be president, Warren led with 42 percent, trailed by Harris at 15 percent, Klobuchar at 9 percent and Abrams at 7 percent. (Read more from “Poll Reveals Who Democrats Want to Be Biden’s VP” HERE)

Another Woman Comes Forward With Disturbing Allegation Against Joe Biden; Reade Says Complaint Would Prove Biden Aides Lied

By PJ Media. On the heels of Biden publicly responding to Tara Reade’s sexual assault allegations comes a new allegation from 26-year-old Eva Murry, who claims that in 2008, then-Senator Joe Biden complimented her on the size of her breasts at the First State Gridiron Dinner & Show. Murry was just 14 years old at the time.

“One friend and her sister said that Murry told her details of the alleged incident more or less immediately after it happened,” reports Law&Crime. “Four other friends of Murry’s said they were told about the incident, with the same details, between two and three years after it originally occurred.”

Law&Crime interviewed the friends and family Murry says she told. Murry is the niece of Christine O’Donnell, who ran for the U.S. Senate in Delaware 2010 in a longshot bid for Biden’s vacated U.S. Senate seat. Murry says she occasionally got school credit for attending political events.

“I remember walking into the lobby and being in awe of all the people in such fancy clothes,” Murry said in an interview. “Our two parties of people gravitated towards each other and everyone started saying their hellos. When it was Biden and my aunt’s turn to say hello he quickly turned to me and asked how old I was. I replied with my age and he replied with the comment ‘Fourteen? You’re very well endowed for 14!’ I was confused but it was definitely weird, he looked me up and down and hovered his eyes on my chest so I had some clue [about] the notion of his comment but didn’t fully understand at the time. We quickly separated from his area after the encounter.”

Reade Says Complaint Would Prove Biden Aides Dennis Toner and Ted Kaufman Lied About Not Knowing Her

By Daily Caller. 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden’s accuser Tara Reade says a complaint she filed with the Senate personnel office would prove that former Biden aides Dennis Toner and Ted Kaufman have lied in their denials of her story. . .

After the alleged assault, Reade told the Daily Caller News Foundation, she complained about sexual harassment to three Biden staffers: Marianne Baker, Biden’s executive assistant, and Dennis Toner and Ted Kaufman, who were both top Biden aides at the time.

Kaufman served as Biden’s chief of staff from 1976 until 1994 and as a Delaware senator from 2009 to 2010. He worked on former President Barack Obama’s transition team in 2008 and has begun work with Biden preparing for Biden’s potential transition to the White House in the case he wins the presidential election, according to the New York Times. . .

But Kaufman, Baker and Toner would not take action when Reade complained to them about sexual harassment, Reade said, so she filed a written complaint with an office she called the “Senate Personnel Office.” . . .

The Office of Senate Fair Employment Practices received 28 formal complaints between June 1992 and September 1994, according to a Senate report on the office published in the 1990s. However, OCWR would not say whether it maintains records relating to the complaints received by its progenitor. New Poll: Trump Approval Rating Hits All-Time High

By National Review. President Trump’s approval rating hit an all-time high in a Gallup survey released on Friday, with 49 percent of respondents approving of his performance versus 47 percent disapproving.

The results continue a wide swing in polling for Trump, who garnered a 43 percent approval rating two weeks ago.

“Most of the variation in Trump’s recent job approval rating is among independents,” Gallup said. “In the current poll, 47% of independents approve of the job he is doing as president, the highest Gallup has measured for the group to date. 93% of Republicans and 8% of Democrats approve of the job Trump is doing.” (Read more from “New Poll: Trump Approval Rating Hits All-Time High” HERE)

Joe Biden Almost Tied With Donald Trump as Lead Falls Within Margin of Error: Poll

By Newsweek. Former Vice President Joe Biden’s lead over President Donald Trump is within the margin of error, according to new polling data.

The latest survey published by The Hill and Harris X on Thursday found that 42 percent of registered voters said they would back Biden if an election were held today, while 40 percent threw their votes behind the president.

A further 5 percent of voters said they would vote for a third party candidate instead of the Republican incumbent or his Democratic challenger.

Four percent told pollsters they were not going to vote at all, and the remaining 9 percent said they were not sure who to vote for in November. (Read more from “Joe Biden Almost Tied With Donald Trump as Lead Falls Within Margin of Error: Poll” HERE)

WATCH: Trump Campaign Unleashes New Ad Ripping Biden Over Sexual Misconduct Allegations

President Trump’s reelection campaign isn’t shying away from hitting Joe Biden over his handling of allegations that he sexually assaulted and harassed a former Senate aide in 1993.

The incumbent’s campaign team, in particular, seized on accusations of hypocrisy over how the presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential nominee and other prominent members of the party supported the women who made sexual misconduct claims against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and their reaction to Biden’s accuser, Tara Reade.

“The double standard exhibited by Biden, prominent liberal women’s groups, and Democrat elected officials — some of whom want to be Biden’s running mate — is glaring and cannot be allowed to stand,” Trump campaign spokeswoman Erin Perrine wrote in a statement.

Perrine added, “There will be a great temptation among Biden’s supporters to take his lackluster interview performance and declare ‘case closed’ and move on. We do not know what, if anything, was done to Tara Reade, but there cannot be one set of rules for Joe Biden and another set for everyone else.” . . .

The Trump campaign’s offensive is in reaction to Biden, 77, addressing Reade’s allegations directly and publicly for the first time Friday morning. In an interview with MSNBC, he reiterated remarks shared just before his appearance, vehemently denying the 56-year-old’s claims that he forcibly kissed her and penetrated her with his fingers, as well as inappropriately touched her hair and neck. Yikes: The New York Times Issues Statement, Calls out Biden Campaign for Lying About Tara Reade Allegation

. . .Yesterday, a memo circulated from the Biden campaign that issued talking points about the Tara Reade sexual assault allegation. One of those talking points was to claim that The New York Times had done a “thorough investigation” and had essentially debunked the claim. We saw Stacey Abrams repeat that verbatim in an interview yesterday, where she ended by stating the assault “did not happen,” another line from the talking points.

Now, the Times is pushing back on the Biden campaign and its surrogates. They issued a statement pointedly saying that their previous article should not be used as evidence against Tara Reade and that it does not say what they are claiming it says. . .

I won’t kid myself though. The Times may have felt the need to offer a correction of the Biden campaign here, but they still aren’t going to take the Reade allegation seriously. They’ll continue to cover for the former VP just as they’ve done from the beginning. The real question is whether any Democrats will break rank. Where’s Bernie Sanders, who could likely rejuvenate his campaign right now if he took Reade’s side? He’s a political coward though, so I doubt he makes that move. I wonder how his fans feel knowing they got so thoroughly played by the old communist?
