Liz Cheney Vows to Support Opponents of Election-Denying Republicans – Even if It Means Helping to Elect Democrats

Liz Cheney, a GOP representative for Wyoming, is vowing to support opponents of Republican election deniers – even if that means helping Democrats defeat members of her own party. Cheney pledged to help Democrats during an appearance on ABC’s “This Week.”

“We’ve got election deniers that have been nominated for really important positions all across the country,” Cheney said on Sunday morning.

“I’m going to be very focused on working to ensure that we do everything we can, not to elect election deniers,” Cheney declared. “I’m going to work against those people, I’m going to work to support their opponents. I think it matters that much.”

Cheney promised to get involved in campaigns to oust any Republicans who challenge or deny the results of the 2020 presidential election. (Read more from “Liz Cheney Vows to Support Opponents of Election-Denying Republicans – Even if It Means Helping to Elect Democrats” HERE)

Liz Cheney’s Husband Is Partner at Law Firm Representing Hunter Biden

Philip Perry, who is married to Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, is a partner at the same law firm representing President Joe Biden’s scandal-ridden son, Hunter.

Last week, the Daily Mail reached out to Hunter Biden’s attorney for comment on a story unearthing new details to the extent the younger Biden leveraged the family name for lucrative overseas business ventures. In 2014, the paper reported, then-Vice President Biden met with a pair of Chinese energy executives connected to Hunter Biden’s foreign business deals.

An attorney named Christopher Clark, who is listed with the firm Latham & Watkins as partner, responded to the Daily Mail’s request for comment calling the reporter a “parasite” in an otherwise nonsensical email full of typos.

The vice president’s 2014 encounter with Chinese energy tycoons marks the fifteenth such meeting with businessmen tied to Hunter Biden’s financial interests, and contradicts Biden’s repeated claims of never discussing business with his son, “or with anyone else.” The first son is currently under federal investigation for money laundering and foreign lobbying.

Perry is also listed as a partner with Lathan & Watkins on the firm’s website while his wife runs for re-election on an anti-Trump platform ahead of the Wyoming primary next week.

Ex-VP Cheney Calls Trump ‘Coward,’ ‘Threat’ to US in Ad Backing Daughter Liz

Facing near-certain defeat in her Wyoming primary later this month, Rep. Liz Cheney featured her father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, in a campaign ad slamming former President Donald Trump as “a coward” and “threat to our republic.”

“In our nation’s 246-year history, there has never been an individual that was a greater threat to our republic than Donald Trump,” the 46th vice president said in the one-minute video.

“He tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters rejected him. He is a coward. A real man wouldn’t lie to his supporters,” the elder Cheney continued. “He lost his election, and he lost big. I know that he knows it and deep down, I think most Republicans know it.”

Dick Cheney then went on to to praise Liz – seeking a fourth term as Wyoming’s lone member of the House of Representatives after her father held the seat for more than a decade – for “standing up for the truth, doing what’s right, [and] honoring her oath to the Constitution.”

“Liz is fearless,” the former vice president went on. “She never backs down from a fight. There is nothing more important she will ever do than lead the effort to make sure Donald Trump is never again in the Oval Office and she will succeed. Is Liz Cheney Running for President in 2024? (VIDEO)

During her Sunday appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) made quite the memorable remarks, as she did not rule out a presidential run in 2024.

Towards the end of her segment, host Jake Tapper reminded Cheney that “you have made it very clear you don’t think Donald Trump should ever be trusted with the presidency again.” Earlier in the segment, the congresswoman had warned that “I think, with respect to Donald Trump, as I said, he can never be anywhere close to the Oval Office ever again.” This prompted Tapper to ultimately ask Cheney if she was “willing to run for president to try to stop him, at least in part?”

Cheney responded that “I haven’t really — at this point, I have not made a decision about 2024,” which is not ruling out such a run. She’s also raised speculation before that she might be interested in running. “And I am really very focused on the substance of what we have to do on the Select Committee, very focused on the work that I have to do to represent the people of Wyoming. And I will make a decision about 2024 down the road,” she went on to say. (Read more from “Is Liz Cheney Running for President in 2024?” HERE)

Cheney: ‘I Can Make Sure Trump Never Gets Anywhere Close to the Oval Office Again’ (VIDEO)

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) is cautioning the GOP if President Trump were to run for the White House again in 2024.

During an interview on ABC’s “This Week” with George Stephanopoulos, Cheney said that the Republican Party can’t survive if Trump wins the GOP nomination.

“I think that he can’t be the party nominee. And I don’t think the party would survive that… I believe in the party, and I believe in what the party can be and what the party can stand for. And I’m not ready to give that up,” Cheney said.

She went on to falsely claim that “millions of Republicans have been betrayed by Donald Trump,” saying that he has torn the country and the Republican Party apart.

Cheney Pulls a Murkowski: Asks Democrats to Vote for Her to Save Her Seat

As Rep. Liz Cheney faces a tough reelection battle in Wyoming, she’s turning to Democrats in her home state to help her chances in the August 16 Republican primary.

Cheney’s campaign has mailed instructions to Wyoming Democrats on how to change their party affiliation to vote for the incumbent congresswoman, The New York Times reported on Thursday. Under Wyoming law, voters must be registered as a Democrat or a Republican in order to vote in that party’s primary election.

The instructions, also listed on Cheney’s campaign website, direct voters to fill out a registration form and submit it to their county clerk’s office at least two weeks before the primary. Voters may also change their party affiliation at the polls on primary day or when they request an absentee ballot.

“Liz is proud to represent all Wyomingites and is working hard to earn every vote,” Jeremy Adler, a campaign spokesperson, told Insider in a statement on Thursday.

This call comes as some Democrats in the red state have expressed support for Cheney’s defiance of former President Donald Trump and plan to vote for her reelection. Though Republicans are a majority in the state, it’s not unusual for candidates to reach out to Democrats during campaign season to boost their election bids. Studies on voter data in the state have shown that party-switch voters have not made a difference in past elections. As Flooding Ravages Wyoming and Shuts Down Yellowstone, Liz Cheney Is in D.C. Trying to Indict Trump

After heavy rains triggered flooding and rockslides in Yellowstone National Park this week, federal officials shut down Wyoming’s largest tourist destination while the state’s at-large lawmaker remains fixated on an effort to indict former President Donald Trump.

On Monday, the National Park Service announced a full evacuation of the park, which is larger than the states of Delaware and Rhode Island combined, and closed its five entrances to visitors. . .

At the same time that Wyoming’s largest attraction shut down, the state’s sole congresswoman, Liz Cheney, was in Washington D.C. conducting the second episode of her beloved Jan. 6 Committee’s Soviet-style show trial to prosecute Trump and his supporters. So far, a single tweet Tuesday afternoon is the extent of Cheney’s public addressing of the flooding that’s shut down her state’s top recreational space which drew 4.9 million visits last year and added more than $444 million to local communities in 2020.

The flooding is “probably the worst thing that’s happened disaster-wise since the fires of ’88,” said Jeff Olson, a resident of Cheney’s adopted hometown, in an interview with Jackson Hole News & Guide. “To have all five entrances closed because of one event during the summer season? It’s crazy.” . . .

The last two press releases from Cheney’s office, however, are each transcripts of her remarks in Monday’s Jan. 6 hearing. Despite the fact that half of her state is under the jurisdiction of the federal government, the Wyoming lawmaker is also no longer on the House Natural Resources Committee, having instead embraced her vendetta against Trump and his supporters as a hallmark of her time in the lower chamber. Cheney: January 6 Probe Found Evidence of ‘Extremely Broad,’ Chilling ‘Conspiracy’ (VIDEO)

Representative Liz Cheney (R-WY) said on “CBS Sunday Morning” that the House Select Committee investigating the January 6, 2021 riot at the U.S. Capitol has found evidence of an “extremely broad” and “well-organized” conspiracy.

Reporter Robert Costa asked, “Are you confident that what you have found as a committee will somehow grab the American people by the lapels and say, ‘Wake up: You have to pay attention’?”

Cheney said, “I am. The threat, and it’s an ongoing threat, you know, we are not in a situation where former President Trump has expressed any sense of remorse about what happened. We are, in fact, in a situation where he continues to use even more extreme language, frankly, than the language that caused the attack. And so, people must pay attention. People must watch, and they must understand how easily our democratic system can unravel if we don’t defend it.” . . .

Costa asked, “Well, what’s made you more concerned?”

Cheney said, “Well, I think the extent, the expanse, how broad this multi-pronged effort was.” (Read more from “Cheney: January 6 Probe Found Evidence of ‘Extremely Broad,’ Chilling ‘Conspiracy’” HERE)

The GOP Civil War Liz Cheney Waged Is Here, and It Just Might Throw Her Out of Congress

Wyoming Republican congresswoman and NeverTrump Resistance leader Liz Cheney drew a new primary challenger Thursday who came with a big endorsement. Harriet Hageman, a prominent GOP attorney and former Cheney ally, formally threw her hat into the ring with the coveted support from former President Donald Trump.

“Wyoming is entitled to a representative in Congress who remembers who sent her there and remembers what their wishes are,” Hageman told a small gathering of supporters crammed in a hotel conference room. “Liz Cheney is doing neither, I will do both.”

At the heart of Hageman’s 15-minute remarks was painting a clear contrast between herself as a native of Wyoming with a rancher’s upbringing and Cheney as a beltway creature of the swamp apparently more focused on a potential gig at CNN through a vendetta with Trump than service to constituents. Contempt for the very Republican voters Cheney serves is a product of this misdirected attention.

“Liz Cheney has burned all of her bridges with Republicans,” Hageman said, noting the practicality of GOP allies in order to pass effective legislation. But instead, a lonely congresswoman kicked from House leadership has spent the past year on “nothing less than a vengeance tour.”

Cheney appeared unfazed by the new, and likely most competitive contender in the race.

Rep. Liz Cheney Responds to Trump’s Endorsement of Challenger Harriet Hageman

Former President Donald Trump has issued a statement endorsing Harriet Hageman who is aiming to defeat incumbent Republican Rep. Liz Cheney in the GOP primary for Wyoming’s at-large Congressional District.

“I strongly endorse Republican House of Representatives Candidate Harriet Hageman from Wyoming who is running against warmonger and disloyal Republican, Liz Cheney,” Trump declared. “Unlike RINO Liz Cheney, Harriet is all in for America First. Harriet has my Complete and Total Endorsement in replacing the Democrats number one provider of sound bites, Liz Cheney. Make America Great Again!”

Cheney responded to the endorsement, tweeting, “Here’s a sound bite for you: Bring it.”

Hageman fired back: “Planning on it. If you’re not busy meeting with [Nancy] Pelosi come back and visit us in Wyoming sometime.”
