Former MSNBC Host Reveals Network Forced Trump Coverage Despite Pushback

In a recent podcast interview, former MSNBC host Tiffany Cross disclosed the challenges she faced while hosting “The Cross Connection,” shedding light on the network’s insistence on Trump-focused coverage, which eventually led to the cancellation of her show in late 2022.

Cross candidly shared her desire to produce content addressing a diverse range of topics, emphasizing issues such as inhumane treatment in prisons, mental health among black men, the erasure of Afro-Latinos, land battles of indigenous communities, and more. However, she revealed the network’s strong push for a Trump-centric narrative, describing it as a continuous battle that persisted throughout her show’s run.

“I want you all to know, every single week from the start of my show to the very last show I did, it was a battle,” Cross expressed. “The network’s philosophy was Trump, Trump, Trump. They wanted me to be part of the echo chamber.”

Cross detailed the condescending manner in which she was treated when advocating for alternative topics, including having her intelligence questioned and being lectured on the definition of news.

The former host suggested that her departure from MSNBC involved factors beyond content disagreements, pointing to criticism from “white conservatives” and characterizing her dismissal as signaling to the industry that she was “unhireable.”

“The network began attacking me,” Cross revealed. “They planted hit pieces in the press. The president of the network began a bizarre, unhinged tour where she was on damage control, I don’t know what she was trying to do.”

Biden Walks off Interview Set Before Host Is Finished: ‘The Biden Presidency in One Clip’ (VIDEO)

By New York Post. President Biden on Thursday wandered off the set of a live television interview on MSNBC before the show even cut to a commercial break.

With the cameras still rolling, Biden got out of his chair, shook hands with host Nicolle Wallace and awkwardly walked away after she thanked the 80-year-old president for granting her a rare interview.

“Don’t go anywhere,” the MSNBC host told viewers as Biden made his exit, walking directly behind her.

It is unusual for guests to leave the set of cable news shows before the host tosses the program to a commercial break.

The clip of Biden walking off, apparently oblivious that the program was live, quickly went viral.

She probed Biden on the Supreme Court’s Affirmative Action decision, the January 6 insurrection and former President Donald Trump – but neglected to question the president about his son Hunter’s foreign business dealings and his health, two issues that have been front-and-center this week. . .

As the president and the host wrapped up the interview by gabbing about the president’s bipartisan achievements, Biden stood up, shook Wallace’s hand and was seen walking off set, as she was still on the air. Major Media Group Compares Trump Supporters to ‘Lice, Fleas, Blood-Sucking Ticks’

MSNBC’s ongoing and relentless Nazi-style dehumanization campaign against Trump supporters took an especially ugly (but not unexpected) turn this week when the far-left outlet compared Trump supporters to “the lice, the fleas, and the blood-sucking ticks.”

This comes on top of what the Fox News Channel’s Tucker Carlson aptly described as MSNBC’s Rwanda-style race hate:

You don’t want to live in Rwanda, but in MSNBC, they’re already there. Now, you probably knew about Joy Reid, the race lady who’s been fixated on race hate for years now, but MSNBC has a new host, someone called Tiffany Cross, who hosts a show called “The Cross Connection.” Here’s a selection:

MSNBC Host: Trucking Industry Full of ‘Aggressive’ White Men Who ‘Overwhelmingly Voted for Trump’ (VIDEO)

MSNBC host Tiffany Cross characterized the truck driving industry as populated by “a lot of white men” who she says “overwhelmingly voted for” former President Donald Trump.

Cross, who is the author of Say It Louder! Black Voters, said Sunday on Cross Connection that she is worried because her brother is a truck driver . She said it “feels like a dangerous industry.”

Cross questioned her guest, CrossCountry Truck Driving School owner and president Pamela Day, about how the industry can become more “welcoming” to drivers of color. . .

“This is an industry populated by a lot of white men over the age of 55,” Cross said. “This group of people overwhelmingly voted for Trump. Former MSNBC Host: Trump, Supporters ‘Must Be Prosecuted and Convicted and Removed From Our Society’ (VIDEO)

. . .Keith Olbermann quit his job at ESPN and made a quiet return this month to political commentary on his YouTube channel. In a classic Olbermann deranged rant, the former MSNBC host breathed fire and brimstone at President Trump and all of his supporters, who Olbermann wants “prosecuted, convicted, and removed” from society.

“Trump can be and must be expunged,” Olbermann begins. “The hate he has triggered, the pandora’s box he has opened — they will not be so easily destroyed. So, let us brace ourselves. The task is twofold. The terrorist Trump must be defeated, must be destroyed, must be devoured at the ballot box.” . . .

“And then he, and his enablers, and his supporters, and his collaborators, and the Mike Lees, and the William Barrs, and the Sean Hannities, and the Mike Pences, and the Rudy Guilianis, and the Kyle Rittenhouses, and the Amy Coney Barretts must be prosecuted and convicted and removed from our society while we try to rebuild it and rebuild the world Trump has nearly destroyed by turning it over to a virus,” Olberman ranted.

WATCH: NBC News’ ‘Undecided’ Voters Previously Featured as Biden Supporters on MSNBC

NBC News featured a pair of “undecided” voters during a network town hall earlier this week who had previously declared their support for Democratic nominee Joe Biden on the network’s sister channel, MSNBC.

Lawyer Peter Gonzalez and marketing executive Ismael Llano posed questions to Biden during a town hall on Monday, when he appeared before what the network described as an “audience of undecided Florida voters.”

Both Gonzalez and Llano, however, were featured in an MSNBC segment in August to explain why they support Biden. “If we get four more years of Trump, good luck, and good luck with the future attracting younger voters,” Gonzalez said as an MSNBC chyron noted he was “voting for Biden.” Llano was also identified as “voting for Biden” and offered praise for the former vice president.

On Monday, NBC’s Lester Holt said that Llano “voted for Hillary Clinton four years ago but has voted Republican in the past.” Gonzalez, whose voting history went unmentioned, asked Biden to ease his family’s concerns that the Democrat is beholden to “the radical left.”

“Cuban American and Venezuelan voters here in South Florida are being targeted with messages by the Trump campaign claiming that a vote for Joe Biden is a vote for the radical left and socialism, and even communism,” Gonzalez said. “What can you tell people in my family, my friends—who are understandably concerned with that issue—that would make them feel comfortable voting for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris?”

WATCH: MSNBC Host Chris Matthews Resigns After Accusations of Sexism and Harassment

Longtime MSNBC host Chris Matthews announced on air Monday night that he was resigning following a slew of on-air fumbles and allegations that he made sexually inappropriate remarks to a political columnist in 2016.

“I’m retiring,” he said. “This is the last Hardball on MSNBC, and obviously this isn’t for lack of interest in politics.”

Over the past several weeks, the cable news veteran has been under increasing scrutiny due to allegations about previous offscreen conduct, as well as a number of eyebrow-raising on-air statements. Observers took note when Matthews, normally a staple of election coverage, did not appear on air on Saturday during the South Carolina primary.

“After my conversation with NBC, I decided tonight will be my last Hardball,” Matthews said on his show Monday night. “I’ll tell you why. The younger generations are ready to take the reins. We see them in politics, the media, they have proven in the workplace. They grew up with better standards, fair standards. Compliments on a woman’s appearance some men, including me, might have once incorrectly thought were OK were never OK. Certainly not today. For making such comments in the past, I’m sorry.”

In an article for GQ, published Friday, freelance political columnist Laura Bassett wrote that when she appeared as a guest on Matthews’ show, he repeatedly made inappropriate remarks about her appearance while off-camera. In one instance, she recounted, Matthews asked, “Why haven’t I fallen in love with you yet?” and urged the makeup artist to “Keep putting makeup on her, I’ll fall in love with her.”

Liberal Media Tries to Show Public Support for Gun Control — and Fails Spectacularly at It

Progressive cable news channel MSNBC posted an online poll to try to measure support for gun control, but they were likely disappointed with the overwhelming result.

The poll showed that 93 percent of respondents supported the right of citizens to carry guns in public.

Only 4 percent who responded to the decidedly unscientific poll said they were opposed to people carrying guns in public.

Another 2 percent responded that people should be allowed to carry guns in public, but only for self defense.

Mic Breakdown Mid-Democratic Primary Debate; Trump Mocks Them

Halfway through the first Democrat primary debate on Wednesday night, there were noticeable mic issues, which forced moderator Chuck Todd to cut to commercial break. The disruption was quickly pounced on by President Donald Trump, who blasted NBC and MSNBC for their “unprofessional” snafu.

The issues started when NBC’s Todd asked the Democrat candidates about their position and plans regarding gun control. Hearing voices in the background, the candidates remarked about their mics being on, according to CNN. . .

The NBC host then went forward with his question, but the technical issues continued. Apparently, according to Todd, his colleagues backstage had not yet turned off their mics, CNN reported. He quickly threw to commercial so the error could be fixed. . .

Last week, Trump said he planned on live-tweeting the first round of 2020 Democratic primary debates, according to The Wall Street Journal. As noted by The Daily Wire, the move was considered “controversial among Trump’s aides, with some strategists claiming that it would be better for the president if the Democrats, who will debate in two shifts over two nights, were allowed to attack each other without the president as a distraction.”

Liberals Were Not Happy Over This Word President Trump Used to Describe Democrats During SOTU

Democrats really don’t like this word to describe their party or agenda. President Trump’s State of the Union did call for unity, but MSNBC host Kasie Hunt lamented that the president using the word “Democrat” instead of Democratic to describe the party was inherently partisan. Well, this set off similar reactions from the liberal Twitterverse.
