MSNBC Rolls out Sexist, Anti-Christian Smears Against Female Trump Employees

MSNBC is on a roll this week with ignorant, sexist attacks against high-ranking women in the Trump administration. First, Rachel Maddow featured an entire segment slamming new Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec for graduating from Liberty University Law School. Why? Because the school is too Christian for the progressive cable news host.

Then, on “Meet the Press,” Chuck Todd bullied Bettina Inclan, a Hispanic working mom of two who just landed the prominent role of spokeswoman for NASA. Her mother—yes, her mother—apparently said some problematic things.

Inclan and Kupec are young women who rose to the top of their fields, heading communications shops for massive government agencies. (Full disclosure: I worked with Kupec in her previous role as legal communications director of Alliance Defending Freedom.) If these women were liberal, it’s more than likely that social justice warriors and self-proclaimed feminists would be praising their accomplishments. But because these women happen to work for the Trump administration, MSNBC hosts think it’s fair game to mock them.

“We’ve got a new Justice Department spokesperson who’s from Liberty University, and Liberty University was founded by a televangelist so that your Christian child wouldn’t be corrupted by actual higher education,” Maddow said on the NBC podcast, “Why Is This Happening? With Chris Hayes. “And now that’s the spokesperson for the Justice Department. These things add up. They have real results in the world.”

She continued: “Is there going to be a backlash to that? Is there going to be a resurgent intellectualism in hard-line conservatism that isn’t the kind of white supremacist stuff that we’re seeing, which is the pseudo-intellectual stuff?”

Watch: Analysts Claim Trump Admin Is Operating Concentration Camps

Two MSNBC analysts falsely claimed on Friday that the Trump administration is operating concentration camps for illegal immigrant children who are separated from their parents.

Guests Stephanie Cutter and Michael Steele made the remarks, which went completely unchallenged by host Stephanie Ruhle. . .

“We can’t find a solution to this problem without harming children? Without putting them in concentration camps?” Cutter asked, according to the Free Beacon.

“I call this a concentration camp for kids,” Steele said. “When you give kids 22 hours of lock-up time and two hours of airtime, what else can it be? And if this is where this country’s going, the American people need to wake up and pay attention, because your kids could be next.”

MSNBC Host Runs Abusive Work Environment

MSNBC Host Chris Matthews runs an at times openly derisive and brazenly sexist news operation that has led at least some staffers to describe themselves as victims of “battered wives syndrome,” according to three of his show’s guests and two former producers who spoke exclusively to The Daily Caller.

Two former NBC producers independently alleged Matthews would rate the looks of his female guests on a scale and said Matthews was so abusive that staff joked about being battered women. The interviews in total paint Matthews as a tyrant liable to fly off the handle at the slightest mistake, who was eager to objectify women and made inappropriate sexual comments appear to be a matter of course for someone in his position.

Both former NBC producers requested anonymity out of concern for their future careers. One is actively seeking a job in media and the other still works closely with MSNBC. One expressed fears about being labeled a “troublemaker” and cited the string of former Fox News women who have all but disappeared from television.

“Sadly, I know other women who won’t even be an anonymous source regarding Chris [Matthews] because they’re that concerned about the door closing on career opportunities in media,” the producer concluded.

According to the two producers, whose combined time at the network nearly spans the existence of “Hardball,” Matthews frequently objectified his female guests and staffers, inappropriately commenting on their appearance and clothing. Matthews would allegedly use pet names like “cutie” and “sweetie pie” to refer to female guests and was constantly making uncouth and “boorish” remarks about women. MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Has an On-Air Freak out Over ‘Nightmare’ Happening in Alaska [+video]

Photo Credit: Facebook Last week, there were multiple reports of the frightening-looking arctic lamprey falling from the skies over Alaska like something out of the cult classic, “Sharknado.” And once MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow caught a glimpse of them, she lost it.

Despite its scary appearance, the arctic lamprey is not a danger to people, and how it ended up far from home has a logical explanation.

The state’s Department of Fish and Game says birds are the likely reason the arctic lampreys have been found in backyards and in areas far away from waters where they typically live. From the state agency’s Facebook page: ”The answer is probably gulls. Gulls are picking them out of the Chena River with their bills and then dropping the squirming critters while in flight.” (Read more from “MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow Has an On-Air Freak out Over ‘Nightmare’ Happening in Alaska” HERE)

MSNBC Points Finger at NRA For 'Making the Ebola Crisis Worse'

MSNBC anchor Krystal Ball and NBC correspondent Anne Thompson shamelessly politicized the Ebola crisis in a Thursday op-ed on MSNBC.com. Ball and Thompson bewailed how due to “Senate dysfunction and NRA opposition, we don’t have a surgeon general right now….during a time when, we not only have Ebola arriving on our shores, but are also dealing with the mysterious Enterovirus, which is infecting and contributing to the deaths of children in the U.S.”

The two on-air personalities led their piece, “How the NRA is making the Ebola crisis worse,” by noting that “poll by Harvard found that 39% of U.S. adults are concerned about a large outbreak here, and more than a quarter fear someone in their immediate family could get sick with Ebola.” They continued with a lament: “If only there was someone around who could educate the American public about the actual level of risk. Someone who was trusted as a public health expert and whose job it was to help us understand what we really need to worry about and what precautions we should take.”

Ball (the winner of the MRC’s “#obamacarefail” Dishonor Award) and Thompson underlined that these roles are among the “primary responsibilities of the United States surgeon general,” and that “there’s just one problem: Thanks to Senate dysfunction and NRA opposition, we don’t have a surgeon general right now. In fact, we haven’t had a surgeon general for more than a year now — even though the president nominated the eminently qualified Dr. Vivek Murthy back in November 2013.”

After devoting several paragraphs touting the role of the surgeon general, the two NBC News employees outlined their case for why the National Rifle Association is to blame for the situation:

…Murthy’s nomination has been held up by Republicans and a few red state Democrats due to this surprisingly controversial stance: He believes that guns can impact your health. Well, to be fair, this conservative coalition is not troubled by his stance, so much as they are fearful of the NRA, which decided to try to scuttle Murthy’s confirmation. The NRA wrote a strongly worded letter, Rand Paul put a hold on the nomination, and Red State Democrats begged Harry Reid to not force them to vote. It’s funny that the strongly worded letters of ordinary citizens don’t seem to have quite the same effect.

More Liberal Media Deception: MSNBC Edits Dave Brat Interview to Claim He Dodged Questions

Photo Credit: Getty ImagesOn Wednesday, Newsbusters’ Ken Shepherd reported that MSNBC.com edited a June 11 phone interview with Republican Dave Brat in order to portray him as someone who dodged questions from Chuck Todd. Brat, an economics professor, defeated Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va., in a stunning upset on Tuesday.

“Virginia primary winner and Tea-Party member Dave Brat joins Chuck Todd to discuss his primary win – and it appears that’s all he wanted to talk about,” reads the subtitle at the MSNBC link, leaving the viewer with the impression Brat did not want to discuss anything further.

But a transcript obtained by Newsbusters indicates that Brat said much more than MSNBC wanted its viewers to know.

While it is true that Brat said he wanted to discuss the celebratory nature of his upset victory, he also addressed a number of issues like the minimum wage and immigration, but viewers would never know it watching MSNBC’s clip.

For example, Brat told Todd he would love to see everyone in sub-Saharan Africa make $100 an hour. But, he explained that wages cannot be arbitrarily set by law.

WATCH: MSNBC Blames Conservative Groups for IRS Targeting and Says Lerner the ‘Real Victim’

On MSNBC last night, host Alex Wagner continued her ongoing “leave the IRS alone” theme with a defense of the organization and its key players that tread into the territory of virtuosity in the art of reversing the spin. Not only, Wagner would have you believe, is the IRS not guilty of anything, not only were conservative groups not harmed or hampered in any way, but in fact it is the IRS who is truly the victim of unjust targeting. They are not the aggressor but the innocent victim, the simple, plainspoken agency that gosh darnit just wants to do its job for America and can’t because Republican meanwiches.

Wagner spends a great deal of time in the heady throes of indignant hysterics. Throwing around terms like “shameless,” circus,” and “witch hunt.” Republicans, she reasonably explains, are following Darrell Issa on a “dark mission.” Are you scared yet?

You see, Issa’s “insanity” has buried the “real story’ she claims. That real story being that the IRS, and not the conservative groups it singled out, are the ones who are really being targeted. Her stinkiest comparison of all, however, is to McCarthyism. Yes, investigating the IRS is the same as The Red Scare.

MSNBC’s Ed Schultz Confirms: GOP Waging ‘Jihad’ Against ObamaCare

msnbc_logoWhile announcing – as “breaking news” – that ObamaCare has supposedly reached its goal of 6 million so-called enrollees before March 31, Ed Schultz went full-metal-jacket Ed Schultz Thursday.

The ever-cranky host of The Ed Show said the feat is even more amazing given the “jihad” that “right-wing radio” has waged against ObamaCare.

RNC Chair Calls for MSNBC Guest Appearance Boycott Over Race Tweet

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus is launching a boycott of MSNBC over an incendiary tweet from the network that suggested “the rightwing” would “hate” a television ad featuring a biracial family, Breitbart News has learned.

“Until you personally and publicly apologize for this behavior, I have banned all RNC staff from appearing on, associating with, or booking any RNC surrogates on MSNBC. I have asked Republican surrogates and officials to follow our lead,” Priebus told MSNBC President Phil Griffin in a letter sent today.

Priebus also sent a memo to Republican officials and surrogates urging them not to appear on the network until Griffin apologizes.

MSNBC’s tweet, sent from the network’s official account last night at 8:06pm, said, “Maybe the rightwing will hate it, but everyone else will go aww” and linked to a Cherios ad “w/ biracial family.”
