Judicial Watch Wants to Know More About Pelosi’s Coup Attempt

Government watchdog Judicial Watch wants to know more about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s behavior and actions on January 8, 2021, when she called General Mark Milley in an attempt to take away then President Trump’s military authority. The group has issued a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the Department of Defense for details of the call.

The lawsuit demands “any and all records regarding, concerning, or related to the telephone call between House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and General Mark Milley on or about January 8, 2021,” and “any and all transcripts, recordings, and/or summaries of the call, as well as any other records produced in preparation for, during, and/or pursuant to the call.” Judicial Watch is also looking for “any and all additional records of communication between Gen. Milley and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi between November 1, 2020, and the present.” (Read more from “Judicial Watch Wants to Know More About Pelosi’s Coup Attempt” HERE)

Pelosi’s Left-Wing Security Czar Demands More Fencing, More Troops, And More Money For Capitol ‘Security’

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s pick to lead a Capitol security investigation in the wake of the Jan. 6 riot is recommending that Congress step up measures to bring in more fencing and more officers and to establish a full-time task force to guard the historic building that will cost up to $130 million a year.

After conducting a six-week reportedly “nonpartisan” investigation, Lt. Gen. Russel L. Honoré, who previously received backlash for hurling multiple partisan insults at congressional Republicans, even calling for some such as Sens. Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz to “be run out of DC and Disbarred ASAP,” concluded in a report obtained by Fox News that the Capitol needs a “quick reaction force” that will always be on guard. The decision, the report states, follows the “understaffed, insufficiently equipped, and inadequately trained” police meant to protect the Capitol on Jan. 6 and comes even though National Guardsmen are scheduled to remain in Washington, D.C., for at least two more months.

The “quick reaction force,” the 33-page report states, can consist of either “existing law enforcement entities,” instated under the D.C. National Guard or a rotation of Guardsmen from around the country, or be created as a group “that permanently resides within the DC Guard by reestablishing a military police battalion and staffing it with Active Guard Reserve troops who live in or near the city year-round, perpetually on active duty.”

In addition to a 24-hour reaction force, the report also recommends installing a “mobile fence option” around Capitol grounds that can be “easily erected and deconstructed.” Repairs to the building itself, the report notes, should also be made a priority to ensure “long-term improvements to perimeter fencing and security surveillance sensing systems.” (Read more from “Pelosi’s Left-Wing Security Czar Demands More Fencing, More Troops, And More Money For Capitol ‘Security’” HERE)

$140 Million ‘Pelosi Subway’ Axed From Senate COVID Bill

. . .Funding for a rail project near House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s California district that Republicans denounced as wasteful was removed Tuesday from President Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID-19 stimulus bill.

The Senate parliamentarian ruled the $140 million appropriation wasn’t allowed under the so-called Byrd rule that polices unrelated items in budget reconciliation bills.

Republicans singled out the rail project as an example of unrelated “pork” in the bill, which is being rammed through Congress without Republican support using special rules that allow a simple majority vote in the Senate.

On Tuesday, Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) ridiculed the project as Pelosi’s “tunnel of love” ahead of an anticipated vote on the package later this week. (Read more from “$140 Million ‘Pelosi Subway’ Axed From Senate COVID Bill” HERE)

Pelosi, Who Claims to Oppose Gerrymandering, Funnels $300,000 to Democratic Gerrymandering Group

After calling for an end to partisan gerrymandering, House speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) quietly funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars to former attorney general Eric Holder’s effort to redraw electoral maps in favor of Democrats, filings show.

Pelosi’s leadership PAC, PAC to the Future, pushed $300,000 to Holder’s National Democratic Redistricting Committee late last year. In 2019, Pelosi said partisan gerrymandering efforts “compromise the integrity of our democracy.”

Holder’s group is gearing up for a once-a-decade redistricting process that significantly influences which party controls Congress. It will serve as a data and legal hub and as a go-between for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and state legislatures, according to Politico.

Paul Pelosi, the speaker’s husband, oversees the finances for her PAC, the only political committee linked to a politician that has donated to Holder’s group in the past two years. The group is at the forefront of left-wing gerrymandering efforts, the likes of which Pelosi once opposed.

“This year, the Democratic Majority passed H.R. 1, the For The People Act, which works to end to partisan gerrymandering by requiring all states to establish independent, nonpartisan redistricting commissions to draw open and transparent statewide district maps after each Census,” Pelosi said in 2019. “We will continue to fight partisan gerrymandering, ensure every citizen’s vote counts and oppose any attempt to compromise the integrity of our democracy.” (Read more from “Pelosi, Who Claims to Oppose Gerrymandering, Funnels $300,000 to Democratic Gerrymandering Group” HERE)

Republican Congressman Considers Suit Over ‘Unconstitutional’ House Gun Ban

Rep. Chip Roy (R., Texas) said he is weighing whether to take legal action against the “unconstitutional” metal detectors and fines instituted by Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) to stop members from carrying guns on the House floor.

“It’s an outrage. I believe it deprives us of our Second Amendment right to defend ourselves,” Roy said. “On January 6, I was sitting on the floor of the House of Representatives. The only thing between me and an angry mob was a handful of Capitol Hill police officers who had their hands full.”

He said the deadly violence of that day demonstrates the need for members to be able to protect themselves even on the House floor. He disputed the notion that the metal detectors were a safety measure. The new system, he argued, will make it harder to defend the building because it directs police resources to target representatives rather than protect them. “This isn’t making us safer,” Roy said. “This is a political show.” . . .

“This is an unconstitutional deprivation of my right to defend myself. Period. Full stop,” Roy said. “I do not care what Speaker Pelosi says about it. I do not care what anybody says about it. That is what the Second Amendment means. That is why it is there.” (Read more from “Republican Congressman Considers Suit Over ‘Unconstitutional’ House Gun Ban” HERE)

Nancy Pelosi: Donald Trump Could Be ‘Accessory to Murder’ After Capitol Riots

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said former President Donald Trump might be an “accessory to murder” in conjunction with the riots at the U.S. Capitol this month.

In an MSNBC interview that aired Tuesday night, the House speaker accused Trump of inciting the deadly riot at the Capitol on January 6, which left at least five people dead including a U.S. Capitol Police officer.

“President’s words are important, they weigh a ton,” Pelosi said of Trump. “And if you’re Donald Trump talking to these people, they believe it, and they used his words to come here.” . . .

“When we talk about, ‘Did any of our colleagues collaborate?’ Well, that remains to be seen,” Pelosi said.

“We have to get the evidence of that. And if they did, they would be accessory to the crime. And the crime, in some cases, was murder. And this president is an accessory to that crime because he instigated that insurrection that caused those deaths and this destruction,” she added. Feds Say 22-Year-Old Woman Who Allegedly Stole Nancy Pelosi’s Laptop Sought to Sell It to Russian Spies

Federal law enforcement officials said they had identified a woman they believe might have stolen the laptop of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) during the Jan. 6 rioting at the U.S. Capitol.

An affidavit filed in a Washington, D.C., federal court said the FBI is seeking Riley June Williams, a 22-year-old Pennsylvania woman, over claims made to them by her former romantic interest.

That tipster told the FBI that Williams had allegedly walked out of the Capitol with Pelosi’s laptop and sought to sell it to Russia’s foreign intelligence service.

The bizarre claims followed upon confirmation from Drew Hammill, Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff, that the laptop had been stolen from her office during the Jan. 6 pro-Trump raid and rioting. . .

ITV News spoke to Williams’ mother in Harrisburg and she confirmed on camera that the woman seen directing protesters during the rioting was her daughter. (Read more from “Feds Say 22-Year-Old Woman Who Allegedly Stole Nancy Pelosi’s Laptop Sought to Sell It to Russian Spies” HERE)

Senator Blames Pelosi for Capitol Riot

Lindsey Graham suggested Sunday Nancy Pelosi is to blame for thousands of pro-Trump protesters breaching the Capitol earlier this month, claiming it is the House Speaker’s job to provide Capitol security.

‘To see people come and take over the Capitol – the House and the Senate – beat officers, defile the seat of government. How in the hell could that happen? Where was Nancy Pelosi? It’s her job to provide Capitol security,’ the South Carolina Republican, and staunch ally of President Donald Trump said during an interview on ‘Sunday Morning Futures.’

He added: ‘We’ll get to the bottom of that.’

The Capitol protest left hundreds injured and five dead, including a Capitol Police officer who was hit over the head by a rioter with a fire-hydrant. (Read more from “Senator Blames Pelosi for Capitol Riot” HERE)

House Impeaches President Trump for a Second Time, 10 Republicans Vote Yes; Joe Biden Weighs in on Trump’s Second Impeachment; Pelosi: ‘It Breaks My Heart’ To Impeach Trump

By Breitbart. The House of Representatives on Wednesday voted to impeach President Donald Trump for a second time over last week’s riots at the U.S. Capitol in which five people died, including a Capitol Police Officer.

The vote to impeach President Trump was approved by the House by a vote of 232 to 197, with 10 Republicans supporting the measure. The following House GOP members voted in favor of the move: Rep. Anthony Gonzalez (OH), Rep. Peter Meijer (MI), Rep. Fred Upton (MI), Rep. Liz Cheney (WY), Rep. John Katko (NY), Rep. Adam Kinzinger (IL), Rep. Tom Rice (SC), Rep. Jamie Herrera Beutler (WA), Rep. Dan Newhouse (WA), and Rep. David Valadao (CA).

The vote makes President Trump the first U.S. president to be impeached twice.

“On January 6, 2021 a violent mob attacked the United States Capitol to obstruct the process of our democracy and stop the counting of presidential electoral votes. This insurrection caused injury, death and destruction in the most sacred space in our Republic,” Cheney said in a statement addressing her decision to back impeachment.

“Much more will become clear in coming days and weeks, but what we know now is enough. The President of the United States summoned this mob, assembled the mob, and lit the flame of this attack. Everything that followed was his doing. None of this would have happened without the President,” the lawmaker added. “The President could have immediately and forcefully intervened to stop the violence. He did not. There has never been a greater betrayal by a President of the United States of his office and his oath to the Constitution.” (Read more from “House Impeaches President Trump for a Second Time” HERE)

Joe Biden Weighs in on Trump’s Second Impeachment

By Daily Caller. President-Elect Joe Biden commented on President Donald Trump’s second impeachment Wednesday, saying he hopes the Senate trial doesn’t get in the way of his administration’s priorities.

House Democrats and many Republicans voted to impeach Trump for “incitement of insurrection” on Wednesday, and Biden echoed the language of that charge in his statement. He has been hesitant to fully endorse an impeachment process, however, and said on Jan 8 that impeachment was “a decision for Congress.”

“Last week, we saw an unprecedented assault on our democracy,” Biden said in a Wednesday statement. “It was carried out by political extremists and domestic terrorists, who were incited to this violence by President Trump. It was an armed insurrection against the United States of America. And those responsible must be held accountable.”

“I hope that the Senate leadership will find a way to deal with their Constitutional responsibilities on impeachment while also working on the other urgent business of this nation,” he added. “From confirmations to key posts … to getting our vaccine program on track, and to getting our economy going again.” (Read more from “Joe Biden Weighs in on Trump’s Second Impeachment” HERE)

Pelosi: ‘It Breaks My Heart’ To Impeach Trump

By WND. Charging President Trump incited an “armed rebellion” against the United States, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday said it “breaks my heart” to impeach the president and remove him from office.

Pelosi, commencing two hours of debate prior to the impeachment vote, invoked Abraham Lincoln’s address to Congress in 1862 in which he spoke of, in her words, “the duty of the patriot in an hour of decisive crisis for the American people” to defend the Constitution. . .

The Democratic majority – along with 10 Republicans, including Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo. – voted 232-197 to impeach Trump for a second time.

However, there won’t be any trial in the Senate before Joe Biden is inaugurated on Jan. 20, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said in a statement after the vote.

“Given the rules, procedures, and Senate precedents that govern presidential impeachment trials, there is simply no chance for a fair or serious trial that could conclude before President-elect Biden is sworn in next week,” he explained. Nancy Pelosi Proposes Steep Fines for House Members Who Evade New Metal Detectors

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) announced Wednesday that the House will be considering a new rule that would impose hefty fines on lawmakers who refuse to comply with the added security measures put in place yesterday, after several Republican members dodged new metal detectors placed outside the chamber. . .

The Hill reported that “ultimately, roughly 10 lawmakers were seen bypassing the detectors and walking into the chamber, raising questions as to the devices’ efficacy, particularly given officers’ hesitancy to restrain House members.” . . .

The speaker said in a statement, “On behalf of the House, I express my deepest gratitude to the U.S. Capitol Police for the valor that they showed during the deadly insurrection on the Capitol, as they protected the lives of the staff and the Congress.”

“Sadly, just days later, many House Republicans have disrespected our heroes by verbally abusing them and refusing to adhere to basic precautions keeping members of our Congressional community, including the Capitol Police, safe,” she continued. “The House will soon move forward with a rule change imposing fines on those who refuse to abide by these protections. The fine for the first offense will be $5,000 and $10,000 for the second offense. The fines will be deducted directly from Members’ salaries by the Chief Administrative Officer.” (Read more from “Nancy Pelosi Proposes Steep Fines for House Members Who Evade New Metal Detectors” HERE)
