By Zach Noble.

One Republican Congressman “hit the right nerve” Friday night — and found himself facing the wrath of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

ABC News called it “an unusual breach of decorum.”

As he spoke about the border funding bill Friday, Rep. Tom Marino accused Democrats of making the border a political issue after doing nothing while they controlled the House, Senate and White House.

“You know something that I find quite interesting about the other side?” Marino said. “Under the leadership of the former Speaker [Pelosi], and under the leadership of their former leader [Rep. Steny Hoyer], when in 2009 and 2010, they had the House, the Senate and the White House, and they knew this problem existed. They didn’t have the strength to go after it back then. But now are trying to make a political issue out of it now.”

His comments incited Pelosi to charge across the floor and challenge him.

Geraldo Rivera: Scare Tactics, Public Hysteria Only Deepen Immigration Crisis

By Fox News Latino.

Shame on Matt Drudge. The owner/operator of the world’s most influential news-aggregating website, The Drudge Report has torn a page from the William Randolph Hearst yellow journalism playbook to fan the flames of public hysteria about the surge of undocumented children immigrating to the United States.

On Tuesday of this week, with explosive world crises involving Gaza and Ukraine dominating the news elsewhere, the first 15 stories on The Drudge Report and his banner headline all concerned that adolescent immigrant surge across our southern border.

His millions of subscribers would be justified in thinking these undocumented immigrant children posed the greatest threat to our way of life since the 1918 Influenza Pandemic, the Great Depression or the Civil War.

Particularly egregious was the fifteenth story on Drudge’s melancholy list, one concerning the potential spread of the deadly Ebola virus. Although the story actually focused on the disease’s outbreak in West Africa, Drudge’s clever placement on his list of related stories was clearly meant to convey the message that a brown tidal wave of adolescent Walking Dead-like, filthy and infected immigrant ragamuffins was bringing the dread killer virus across the Rio Grande.

First, Pelosi Said Illegal Kids Should Be Treated Like ‘Baby Jesus.’ Then She One-Upped Herself

Earlier this week, Nancy Pelosi suggested that illegal children entering the country should be treated like “baby Jesus,” who was himself “a refugee” trying to be freed “from violence.”

Friday, the Minority Leader one-upped herself. (This is no easy task, mind you.)

As tweeted by Franchesca Chambers, political reporter at @DailyMailUS, and grabbed by Weasel Zippers:

Nancy Pelosi Wants to Amend the Constitution to Overturn This Supreme Court Decision

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) believes restrictions on political spending would guarantee more women, minorities and young people get elected, and she is willing to amend the Constitution to get those limits.

“We have the legislation to do it that dares to disclose who is this money coming from and amend the Constitution to overturn Citizens United,” Pelosi said when speaking Wednesday at the Make Progress Conference, sponsored by the Center for American Progress. “This special interest money is suffocating the airwaves, causing confusion.”

The Democratically-controlled Senate Judiciary Committee recently voted to send a bill to the floor to amend the Constitution to allow Congress and state legislatures to put spending limits on political campaigns.

The U.S. Supreme Court voted 5-4 in the 2010 Citizens United ruling and this year in the McCutcheon ruling that political spending is speech and caps by government violated the First Amendment.

“In order to take back our politics, we must reduce the role of money in politics and increase the level of civility,” Pelosi said. “I guarantee you, if we increase the level of civility and reduce the role of money, we will allow more women, more minorities, more young people to elective office.”

WATCH: This Teenager’s Question Had Nancy Pelosi Stammering

Photo Credit: APJudging from her fading smile, it appears that House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi thought her meeting with a group of teenagers would be an easy photo op with no hard questions.

She was wrong.

“Why do you support the NSA’s illegal and ubiquitous data collection?” asked Andrew Demeter, a self-described investigative reporter who runs the TeenTake YouTube channel.

Pelosi Reluctantly Picks Her Team for House Benghazi Probe

Photo Credit: Fox NewsBy Fox News.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday reluctantly picked her team for a GOP-led Benghazi investigative committee, saying that Democrats’ participation was the only way to assure Americans of a “fair process.”

Pelosi appointed five fellow Democrats to the 12-member House select committee on Benghazi, including Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings as the ranking member of the panel.

“We’ve already been there,” Pelosi said in naming the members, continuing to voice concerns about the probe while also ending weeks of speculation about whether her party would participate.

“Eight reviews have been conducted in the House and Senate, 25,000 documents released, millions of taxpayer dollars spent. It was not necessary to put the families or our country through this partisan exercise once again,” the California Democrat continued. “I could have argued either way.”

Cummings is also the top Democrat on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and is known to publicly spar with the chairman of that committee, GOP Rep. Darrell Issa. Pelosi also named Washington Rep. Adam Smith, the top Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee; California Rep. Adam Schiff, a member of the House Committee on Appropriations; California Rep. Linda Sanchez, a member of the House Committee on Ways and Means; and Illinois Rep. Tammy Duckworth, a member of the House Armed Services Committee.

By Susan Ferrechio.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calf., has named five Democrats to serve on a select panel that will investigate the Sept. 11, 2012, terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

Pelosi made the decision to appoint members after meeting Wednesday with House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, about the terms of how the panel will operate.

Pelosi has tapped Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., who now serves as the top Democrat on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, which has held several hearings examining the Benghazi attack.

Pelosi also named Rep. Adam Smith, D-Wash., who is the House Armed Services Committee ranking member, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., who serves on the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Linda Sanchez, D-Calif., and Rep. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill., an injured war veteran who serves on both the Armed Services and House Oversight panels.

Schiff previously argued Democrats should boycott the committee, telling “Fox News Sunday” it would be a “colossal waste of time.”

Obama Says He Wants Pelosi Back as Speaker

President Obama said at a closed-door fundraiser Thursday that he wants to see House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) become speaker of the House again.

“Not only did we accomplish a great deal when she was speaker; we’re going to accomplish that much more once we get her back in,” Obama said at the event at a private residence in La Jolla, Calif.

Pelosi hasn’t said whether she’s aiming to become speaker again, but it’s unusual for former speakers to stick around after their party loses the majority, and some think the 74-year old would like to reclaim her gavel.

Republicans love to float that possibility in campaign ads, believing the liberal San Francisco lawmaker is an albatross for Democrats.

WATCH: Pelosi – Benghazi is a Diversion, ‘Can’t We Talk About Something Else?’

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi dismissed the Benghazi-related emails recently released by the White House as nothing new, refusing to acknowledge any wrongdoing by the administration.

“I haven’t seen it, but I will say this again — diversion, subterfuge — Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi. Why aren’t we talking about something else?” Pelosi said at Thursday’s press conference responding to a question from Breitbart News. “What I know of what I’ve read in the press about the emails was what was put out there before. I don’t think there was anything new there.”

Bozell: Pelosi’s Mimicry of Pope Is ‘Sickening and Shameful,’ ‘Sacrilegious’

By Craig Bannister.

Conservative leader and Catholic L. Brent Bozell III today blasted Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) for mimicking the pope’s Holy Week foot-washing tradition while touting her immigration reform legislation:

“I am a Catholic and I am offended at Minority Leader Pelosi’s continued abuses of the Catholic Church’s teachings and traditions. As a Catholic who has watched Ms. Pelosi champion one anti-Catholic cause after another, I believe this to be sacrilegious.

“Christ taught the washing of the feet as an act of utter humility, while she turned a sacred religious tradition into a grandstanding political publicity stunt. Ms. Pelosi’s politicizing of Holy Week is sickening and shameful.”

Pelosi Says GOP Failure to Act on Immigration Legislation Has Something to Do with Race

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Thursday blamed racial issues for the GOP’s failure to act on comprehensive immigration legislation.

“I think race has something to do with the fact that they’re not bringing up an immigration bill,” the California Democrat told reporters at her regular weekly press conference. “I’ve heard them say to the Irish, ‘If it were just you, this would be easy.'”

Pelosi was responding to a question about whether race factors into how Republicans deal with members of the Obama administration. She accused Republicans of being generally disrespectful to members of the administration and to women.

Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill later clarified that the reported GOP comment about the Irish has been relayed to Pelosi a number of times by Irish immigration activists she’s met with.

Pelosi’s comments come as frustration grows among immigration activists and the House’s Democratic minority about the refusal of the GOP majority to act on a far-reaching immigration bill passed by the Senate last year. The Senate bill would provide a path to citizenship for the estimated 11 million immigrants living in the country illegally and tighten border security.
