A gay bar in New Zealand drew criticism from the transgender community after claiming that biological sex matters.

Cruz, a nightclub and bar in New Zealand, placed a sign outside the establishment that reads “XY = Male XX = Female,” apparently rejecting the idea that gender is unrelated to biological sex. The statement led to significant backlash, with some individuals accusing the business of transphobia.

The bar elaborated on Facebook, posting a picture of the sign with the caption, “women are a biological reality.” Pre-empting criticism, the bar’s Facebook account linked to videos that showed a transgender-critical speaker being attacked by trans activists and another video that claimed transgender policies negatively affect youth.

In a response to a Facebook supporter, the bar claimed that many gay and lesbian people are reluctant to speak out against the transgender movement.

“[U]nfortunately many gay and lesbian targeted businesses are afraid to call this out for what it is. That’s how things came to get as far as they have with the trans madness!” the bar posted. New Zealand’s prime minister is turning her hot mic gaffe into a charitable moment as she and her political rival plan to auction off her comment for charity.

ACT Party Leader David Seymour called the gesture a “very Kiwi resolution to what might be seen as a nasty incident.”

“In the spirit of Christmas, we are going to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation – raising money for p—-s everywhere,” Seymour wrote in a tweet, calling it a “great cause.” . . .

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern called Seymour an “arrogant p—-” following an exchange in parliament. Out for ‘Blood’: Country Tries to Seize Guardianship of Baby Over Parents’ Vaccine Stance

New Zealand’s government health service has applied to remove guardianship of a 4-month-old baby boy from his parents after they demanded that his life-saving surgery can proceed only with blood that does not contain the COVID-19 vaccine.

Health New Zealand, also known as Te Whatu Ora, made a court application Monday with the Auckland High Court to transfer guardianship under the Care of Children Act so the baby can receive the operation, according to court documents reported by the New Zealand Herald.

The baby’s parents recently explained their position during an interview with Liz Gunn, a broadcaster from New Zealand who has raised concerns about the safety of COVID-19 vaccines.

Explaining how their son has severe pulmonary valve stenosis and needs surgery “almost immediately,” the parents said they are “extremely concerned with the blood [the doctors] are going to use.” . . .

The parents maintained that more than 20 unvaccinated people were willing to donate the blood for their son’s operation, but that had not been approved by the government’s New Zealand Blood Service (NZBS), according to the New Zealand Herald. Startling Report: Doctors Given Bonus to Euthanize ‘Severely Hospitalized’ COVID Patients

The New Zealand government has announced that patients admitted to the hospital for COVID-19 can be killed via euthanasia, according to Scoop.

In November, anti-euthanasia group #DefendNZ asked the New Zealand Ministry of Health (MOH) questions about the practice of the nation’s End of Life Choice Act (EOLC Act). One of these questions was, “Could a patient who is severely hospitalised with Covid-19 potentially be eligible for assisted suicide or euthanasia under the Act if a health practitioner viewed their prognosis as less than 6 months?”

The EOLC Act states that a person who has a “terminal illness that is likely to end the person’s life within 6 months” may die by euthanasia. Eligibility for both euthanasia and assisted suicide is determined by the attending medical practitioner and an independent medical practitioner.

Country Proposes First Nationwide Smoking Ban

The government of New Zealand announced an aggressive plan to enact a nationwide smoking ban by 2022 on Thursday.

The new law would effectively be a lifetime smoking ban for individuals aged 14 and under.

The proposed legislation, which is expected to become law next year, is part of a broader effort to phase out the use of all tobacco products in the country by 2025.

If the bill becomes law, it will raise the minimum smoking age gradually until the entire population is affected.

COVID 1984: Prime Minister Wants Two Classes of Citizens Based on Vax Status (VIDEO)

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern admitted she wants to create two classes of citizens based on Chinese coronavirus vaccination status.

During an interview with the NZ Herald on Friday, a reporter asked Ardern if her goal is to create two classes of citizens with New Zealand’s “traffic light” system, which Ardern unveiled Friday morning.

“So you’ve basically said, you probably don’t see it like this, but two different classes of people — if you’re vaccinated or unvaccinated. You have all these rights if you are vaccinated —” NZ Herald‘s deputy political editor Derek Cheng asked Ardern.

“That is what it is, yep,” Ardern replied. . .

New Zealand, which has only reported 28 Chinese coronavirus deaths since the pandemic began, has enforced some of the “tightest pandemic restrictions among OECD nations,” Reuters reported. Despite that fact, the country has been experiencing an outbreak, with nearly 2,500 cases reported out of a population of 5 million. Numbers Prove How Horribly New Zealand’s Gun Buyback Program Turned Out

Shortly after the terrorist attack that left 51 dead in Christchurch, New Zealand earlier this year, Prime Minster Jacinda Ardern vowed to ban all semi-automatic rifles. The firearms that were used in the attack were legally obtained but illegally modified. . .

The government set aside $110 million to compensate gun owners for their firearms. In total, the government collected 47,000 firearms. An accounting firm the government hired determined that the number of banned guns is estimated between 50,000 and 170,000. The exact number, however, is unknown because the country does not have a registry for what they call “military style assault rifles.” . . .

Police in New Zealand believe that there are roughly 1.2 million legally owned firearms. But that statistic is from 2014, when the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva conducted the Small Arms Survey. For all we know, it is likely higher. Based on that number though that means there are 26 firearms for every 100 people. It really is significantly less than the United States but it is higher than Australia.

But, at last, gun control groups are already taking a victory lap. Their argument is this is only one step in a multi-pronged approach to dealing with firearms. New Zealand also plans to make licensing tougher, registration and stronger enforcement powers.

“On the one hand, taking around 50,000 of these weapons out of the community is a clearly positive step,” Gun Control NZ co-founder Nik Green said. “On the other hand, we don’t know what proportion of all prohibited firearms this represents. Here’s How Many Assault-Style Weapons Have Been Returned in New Zealand for Their Gun Buyback

By The Daily Caller. New Zealand has seen only a fraction of weapons surrendered after its government passed restrictive gun control measures, including a buyback program, following March’s mosque shootings.

About 1,000 guns estimated to qualify as prohibited have reportedly been turned over to New Zealand authorities as part of the country’s gun buyback program as of July 4, according to Radio New Zealand. . .

The gun rules that include a ban on assault-style guns and similar weapons were passed by New Zealand’s parliament in April in the wake of the March 15 mosque shootings in Christchurch that killed 51 people. . . .

The regulations face opposition, including a planned legal challenge from the Council of Licensed Firearms Owners, New Zealand’s leading gun lobby. The group plans to “take legal action, likely to be by way of a class action,” promised Secretary Nicole McKee, according to WaPo.

Three hundred gun collection events are planned for the next three months in various locations, including large sport stadiums. Authorities said they have informed registered firearm owners of the obligations, and have received 8,000 notifications of surrender through an online registration process, according to Radio New Zealand. Less Than 1% Participate in New Zealand Gun Buyback

By American Military News. Just one percent of New Zealand’s guns have been turned in after the nation’s ban on semi-automatic rifles and high-capacity magazines. . .

Official data has not yet been released and is complex to even obtain due to the fact that many of the banned weapons are not on the national registry.

The New Zealand government has sent notices to owners of all registered firearms informing them of their obligation to turn in their firearm. An amnesty period lasts until December 20, and after that, gun owners will face consequences for being in possession of banned firearms. New Zealand Announces Weapon Ban

NZ Foreign Minister Headed to Turkey to ‘Confront’ Erdogan’s Mosque Shooting Comments

By Reuters. New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said on Wednesday Foreign Minister Winston Peters will travel to Turkey to “confront” comments made by Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan on the killing of 50 people at mosques in Christchurch.

Australian Brenton Tarrant, 28, a suspected white supremacist, was charged with murder on Saturday after a lone gunman opened fire at the two mosques during Friday prayers.

Erdogan – who is seeking to drum up support for his Islamist-rooted AK Party in March 31 local elections – said on Tuesday Turkey would make the suspected attacker pay if New Zealand did not.

The comments came at a campaign rally that included video footage of the shootings that the alleged gunman had broadcast on Facebook. . .

WATCH: Teen Smashes Egg on Senator’s Head, Gets Punched in the Face

A right-wing Australian senator who made controversial remarks following the terrorist attacks in New Zealand was pelted in the head with an egg and responded by punching the person who threw it in the face.

A 17-year-old boy smacked Sen. Fraser Anning in the head with the egg as he was talking to reporters on Saturday morning in Melbourne. Anning responded by turning around and punching the teenager twice in the face. . .

Anning faced backlash over his response to the New Zealand terrorist attack after he condemned the violence and then went on to make comments that were widely criticized as being blaming the victims of the attack. . .

Following the attack, New Zealand’s leftist government proposed extreme gun control laws, on top of the nation’s already extreme laws, which may now include banning all semi-automatic firearms.
