Pain at the Pump: Police Find Razor Blades on Handles at Several Gas Stations

Police in North Carolina are warning the community that someone is placing razor blades on gas pump handles across the western part of the state.

The Forest City Police Department posted a community advisory on Tuesday stating that officers have “located multiple instances of razor blades being placed in gas pump handles.

“We are actively investigating these instances now in cooperation with the state Department of Agriculture and will follow up with more information when available,” the post said.

SWAT Officers Shoot Unarmed Man Wrongly Suspected as Hostage-Taker — Then Officer Blurts Out, ‘F***, Bro, F***,’ Unaware of Home Cameras: Video

SWAT team officers in North Carolina repeatedly shot an unarmed man who was wrongly suspected of taking another person hostage, the New York Post reported. The man was subsequently accused of communicating threats and resisting arrest, but home surveillance footage may reveal a different story.

Around 11 p.m. on December 13, 41-year-old Jason Kloepfer and his wife, Alison Mahler, were awakened by SWAT team officers with the Cherokee Indian Police Department and the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, they received a 911 call of shots being fired. Believing a gunman was holding another person hostage inside Kloepfer’s mobile home, authorities obtained a search warrant to enter the residence.

The sheriff’s office, not having a tactical unit of its own, requested assistance from the Cherokee Indian Police Department’s SWAT team.

In the initial press release, authorities alleged that Kloepfer “engaged in a verbal altercation with officers.” Police said they responded by opening fire on Kloepfer because he “confronted” authorities.

Shots Fired at Family Home of Republican Congressional Candidate While His Children Were Inside: Report

Federal law enforcement officials have launched a criminal investigation into gunshots that were fired late last month at the family home of North Carolina congressional candidate Pat Harrigan (R), a former Green Beret.

News of the shots that hit Harrigan’s parent’s home in Hickory, North Carolina, broke Thursday afternoon after the family disclosed the incident in an interview with The Associated Press.

Harrigan’s campaign said that Harrigan’s children were inside the home when the shooting happened and that a shot hit the home within a few feet of where the children were sleeping.

WBT News reported that the FBI was involved in the investigation and that other agencies may be involved.

Prospective Juror Sent to Jail Without Bond for Refusing to Wear Mask in Courtroom

A prospective juror had to spend 24 hours in jail for refusing to wear a mask in a North Carolina courtroom on Oct. 10.

Gregory Hahn, 47, of Harnett County was found in contempt of court and booked without bond by the North Carolina Superior Court judge, Charles Gilchrist, for his refusal to follow the judge’s mask order, according to the WRAL NProspective Juror Sent to Jail Without Bond for Refusing to Wear Mask in Courtroom” ews.

Hahn, a single father, later appeared on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Friday and said it had been the worst 24 hours of his life and he was refused a phone call to check on his minor child who was at home.

“I never thought I would show up to jury duty and end up behind bars. So it happened,” Hahn told Carlson. “We were in [an assembly room] for about 20 to 30 minutes, shoulder-to-shoulder, with three-quarters of us not wearing masks.”

“So the virus–if there was virus out there–contaminated us anyway. Plan for Nationwide Ban on Assault Rifles Resurfaces at White House

President Biden on Friday doubled down on calls to ban assault weapons after a 15-year-old boy in North Carolina allegedly shot five people to death, including an off-duty police officer.

“Enough,” Mr. Biden said. “We’ve grieved and prayed with too many families who have had to bear the terrible burden of these mass shootings.”

He said Congress must do more to “get weapons of war off our streets.”

After a string of mass shootings, the House over the summer passed a ban on assault weapons despite nearly unanimous opposition from Republicans. The bill stalled in the Senate.

Mr. Biden expressed gratitude to law enforcement and other first responders to the attack and said his administration is working with North Carolina Gov. Kids Pole Dance With Nearly-Nude Strippers at Pride Event

The Charlotte Pride Festival in North Carolina over the weekend featured numerous nearly-nude strippers pole-dancing in front of children, according to photos and videos shared online by Libs of TikTok.

There were several children visible in the crowd observing the dancing during the parade, and in at least one instance a young boy joined in the dancing with a nearly nude woman, according to the videos. The event advertised a children and family zone, although it remains unclear what that encompassed.

A woman wearing strappy underwear and a string bikini top straddled a metal pole while balancing a boy who appeared to be about 5-years-old on her torso in one video; the boy was holding the pole and appeared to be receiving a pole-dancing lesson. The incident happened in front of several adults, one of whom smiled at the scene.

Another compilation of videos from the event showed about a dozen performers in thongs and bras pole dancing and twerking on the street and on parade floats in front of cheering audiences, which included young children. AR-15 Firearms Placed in County Schools as a Security Measure

AR-15 guns have been placed on site at Madison County, North Carolina, schools as a security precaution.

“We were able to put an AR-15 rifle and safe in all of our schools in the county,” Sheriff Buddy Harwood said, according to the Asheville Citizen Times. “We’ve also got breaching tools to go into those safes. We’ve got extra magazines with ammo in those safes.”

“The reason we put the breaching tools in the safes is that in the event we have someone barricaded in a door, we won’t have to wait on the fire department to get there,” Harwood said. “We’ll have those tools to be able to breach that door if needed. I do not want to have to run back out to the car to grab an AR, because that’s time lost. In yet another sign that American public schools have been infested with toxic, leftist ideology, a North Carolina preschool is under fire after a teacher used flash cards featuring LGBTQ themes — including a card depicting a “pregnant man” — to teach children about colors.

The shocking incident was revealed in a May 27 news release from Rep. Tim Moore, the Republican speaker of the North Carolina House of Representatives. . .

“This week, Rep. Erin Paré (R-Wake) received an email from a concerned constituent alerting her to the use of LGBTQIA+ themed flash cards, including a card with the depiction of a pregnant man, to teach colors to children in a preschool class at Ballentine Elementary School,” Moore’s release stated. 1,000-Pound Great White Shark Stalking US Waters

A massive great white shark reportedly weighing over 1,000 pounds has reached America’s waters off the coast of North Carolina.

The alpha-predator was spotted on Monday in an area near the Outer Banks, according to a report.

Biden, from nearby Delaware, was named Benjamin Franklin Presidential Practice Professor, the first person to hold the role, in 2017. He did not teach regular classes but made about a dozen public appearances on the campus, mostly at big-ticketed events, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. He collected a pay check in 2017, 2018 and early 2019.
