Buttigieg Says Black Babies Come At ‘Discount’ — Gets Smacked Down By Adoption Expert

A leading adoption advocate rebuked former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg for suggesting racial disparities in adoption fees, calling the claim “ignorant” and misleading.

In an op-ed published in The Hill, National Council for Adoption President Ryan Hanlon addressed Buttigieg’s suggestion that adopting white children involves a “list” and a “deposit on a fetus” while implying black children are adopted at a discount. Hanlon said such language grossly misrepresents how private domestic adoption works and perpetuates harmful myths about adoption and race.

“Anybody who says race is not a thing in this country should experience an adoption process, where there are literally different lists if you say that you want a white kid only versus if you say that doesn’t matter,” Buttigieg said on Flagrant, a podcast hosted by comedian Andrew Schulz. “Literally a different list. The list for ‘white kid only’ is longer. And not only that, there was actually a discount — or, you didn’t have to pay a deposit on the fees. This is, like, how it works. I couldn’t believe it.”

“As someone who has worked with hundreds of adoption agencies and professionals across the country for decades, I can confidently say that [Buttigieg’s comments] misrepresent how private adoption works,” Hanlon wrote. “More importantly, when media narratives confuse or conflate key facts, the real harm falls on children and families.” (Read more from “Buttigieg Says Black Babies Come At ‘Discount’ — Gets Smacked Down By Adoption Expert” HERE)

What Did Pete Buttgieg Just Say About Adopting Non-White Kids?

Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg had an awkward slip of the tongue. It was that or he tried to be fast and loose with Andrew Schulz and company when discussing his family, claiming that adopting black kids comes at a discount. He quickly clarified before saying there was no deposit. The former mayor and 2020 presidential candidate, along with his husband, have adopted fraternal twins, which is how this topic came up, along with a lecture about race in America.

I’m adopted, and I have two white parents—this ‘how do I raise my kids that are racially different than me’ bulls**t never came up. And when you focus on that, which is what all Democrats do because they’re race-obsessed, you end up being cringy, getting offended about everything, and flat-out saying some pretty offensive stuff, like ‘them black kiddos come at a discount because America—bad, or something.’

Buttigieg Dishes on Dust-up With Elon Musk Over Hurricane Helene: ‘There Was an Issue With Pilots’

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg shed light on the call between him and SpaceX founder Elon Musk last week to clear the air on the tech guru’s public complaints that the government was hamstringing his company from helping Hurricane Helene victims.

Musk, 53, had taken to X, with allegations that the Federal Aviation Agency was blocking flights into storm-ravaged parts of North Carolina, prompting a response from Buttigieg, 42, who told the billionaire to give him a ring.

“He took me up on that. He called. We had a conversation. What we found out was actually happening was the FAA was not closing down any airspace,” Buggieg recalled on MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki.”

“But there was an issue with pilots who were helping get Starlink equipment to where it needed to be, having the right information. We worked that with local authorities and were able to take care of it.” (Read more from “Buttigieg Dishes on Dust-up With Elon Musk Over Hurricane Helene: ‘There Was an Issue With Pilots’” HERE)

Buttigieg Mocks Crime Concerns From His Personal Security Bubble

Nothing better embodies how out of touch Democrats are than their boasting about how safe they are with their taxpayer-funded security while dismissing most people’s concerns about crime.

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg went on MSNBC to dismiss people’s concerns about crime as just a narrative being pushed by conservatives. “We need to talk about the reality here,” Buttigieg said. “There’s a lot of funding and a lot of energy going into telling a different story, especially on ideological news outlets and online. But the simple facts and the simple reality are right here staring us in the face, including the fact I can safely walk my dog to the Capitol today in a way you couldn’t do when we all got here.”

Buttigieg said that on Sunday morning. Later that day, two people walking their dogs in Washington, D.C., were mugged, with one of the victims being stabbed. As it turns out, walking your dog in Washington, D.C., is really safe if you also happen to be a Cabinet secretary with taxpayer-funded security, as Buttigieg is.

This isn’t some unfortunate anecdotal example, either. Washington, D.C., finished 2023 with 274 homicides, a 36% increase from last year and the most the city has seen since 1997, when Buttigieg was in high school. The city had more than 900 reported carjackings last year and a 100% increase in gun crimes compared to pre-2020 levels. Buttigieg Mess: Transportation Dept Will Not Say How Many National Defense Ships Stuck in Harbor

After an initial strong public response from President Biden vowing the federal government would do whatever it took to fix the situation, his administration is showing early signs it is bungling the response to the collapsed bridge in Baltimore.

Questions abound — such as exactly how many ships are stuck in the harbor, but the administration has been unable to provide fast or forthcoming answers.

Breitbart News has asked the Department of Transportation for answers regarding the country’s National Defense Reserve Fleet — a fleet of ships that could be used to support the military during war or emergencies, but the agency has been unable to respond.

According to another inventory list maintained by the DOT, as of January 31, 2024, there are 90 ships that are part of the National Defense Reserve Fleet, with 53 of those part of the Ready Reserve Force (RRF). RRF ships are Maritime Administration vessels assigned to the RRF to support Pentagon surge sealift requirements.

Six of those RRF ships — all roll-on/roll-off cargo ships — are assigned to Baltimore, according to the list. Those include the SS Antares, the MV Cape Washington, the MV Cape Wrath, the MV Charles L. Gilliland, the SS Denebola, and the MV Gary I. Gordon. Buttigieg Finally Makes It to East Palestine, but It Does Not Go Well (VIDEO)

By Red State. On Thursday, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg finally made it to East Palestine, Ohio — almost three weeks since the train derailment there on February 3 that resulted in chemical contamination of the area. That was only after a huge public backlash to the lack of response by Buttigieg and the Biden team, and former President Donald Trump going to the site. Except for a tweet, Joe Biden hasn’t made any public statement on the disaster. Indeed, he went to Ukraine to give them millions instead and said Ukraine had captured his heart.

Trump came with water and supplies on Wednesday. He bought a ton of McDonald’s for first responders and residents in the area.

Buttigieg came with a hard hat and an attitude, at 7 a.m. in the morning.

Reporters tried to ask him questions but he blew them off and his press secretary got up in their faces. She said she didn’t want to have a conversation on camera for a public appearance with her boss, and that asking that she do so was “aggressive.” . . .

Isn’t answering questions on camera part of the job of a press secretary? Especially when they need to answer up for how badly they have dealt with this. This is like rubbing salt into the wound when they wouldn’t respond.

Buttigieg’s Office Refuses to Say Why He Took Photo of Dcnf’s Jennie Taer, Demands Reporter Turn off Camera

By Daily Caller. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg’s press secretary refused on Thursday to say why he took a photo of Daily Caller News Foundation investigative reporter Jennie Taer, who confronted the secretary over a train derailment that spilled toxic chemicals in Ohio.

Buttigieg took a photo of Taer on Tuesday after she pressed him on his message to the people of East Palestine, Ohio, following the derailment of a train carrying toxic chemicals which prompted evacuations and shelter-in-place orders. During his visit to East Palestine on Thursday, Buttigieg’s press secretary would not say why the photo of Taer was taken and refused to answer what was being done with the photo even after DCNF reporter Alexa Schwerha turned her camera off.

“I’m happy to answer your question. I would like for you guys to not have your cameras on,” Buttigieg’s press secretary told Schwerha.

The Department of Transportation has not responded to the DCNF’s multiple requests for comment on why the photo of Taer was taken.

“Well, I’d refer you to about a dozen interviews I’ve given today, and if you’d like to reach conversation, be sure to reach out to the press office,” Buttigieg told Taer, adding that he was taking some “personal time,” when she approached him on Tuesday.

Tucker Carlson Slams Pete Buttigieg, Who Joined the Military During ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Tell,’ for ‘Lying’ About Being Gay

Fox News’s top-rated opinion host, Tucker Carlson, ripped into Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg on Wednesday night and claimed that Buttigieg “hid” and “lied” about his sexual orientation “for reasons he has never been asked to explain.”

Buttigieg very publicly came out as gay while serving as mayor of South Bend, Indiana in 2015, writing an article in his local newspaper. Buttigieg who joined the military in 2009, later wrote about the toll “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” took on him while serving in the reserves as the policy, which ended in 2011, barred military personnel from being openly gay. . .

“Pete Buttigieg, of course, couldn’t pass up a moment like this. It’s not like Pete Buttigieg wants to talk about how things are going over at the Transportation Department, which he supposedly runs. Short answer not well,” Carlson said, adding:

No, Pete Buttigieg wants to talk about identity. He always wants to talk about identity. And the funny, ironic thing is and the tell just a few years ago, Buttigieg wouldn’t even admit that he was gay. He hid that and then lied about it for reasons he has never been asked to explain. Why not?

But whatever. Now he is happy to use his sexual orientation as a cudgel to bash you repeatedly in the face into submission. Quote, here’s his latest, ‘If you’re a politician or media figure who sets up the LGBTQ community to be hated and feared, not because any of us who ever harmed you, but because you find it useful that don’t you dare act surprised when this kind of violence follows.’

Buttigieg ‘Interested’ in California Ban on New Gas Cars as He Weighs ‘a National Policy’

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg remarked on Friday that he is “interested” in an upcoming California ban on new gas-powered cars as the Biden administration weighs nationwide electric vehicle policies.

Last month, the California Air Resources Board issued new rules requiring 35% of new vehicles to produce zero emissions by 2026 — a standard that will progressively rise to 100% by 2035. During an interview with Fox 11 Los Angeles, Buttigieg argued that a rapid transition to electric cars is required to effectively combat climate change.

“It’s interesting to see how the states are trying to go above and beyond what we’re doing at the federal level,” Buttigieg commented. “I’m really interested in these developments, while we continue to set a national policy that’s the baseline for all of this. We need to move in the direction of electric vehicles.”

California unveiled the new benchmarks days before the Golden State requested that residents lower energy usage during peak hours in the interest of averting power grid failure. Among other actions, officials asked that citizens refrain from charging electric vehicles. Prominent policymakers and industry leaders, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk, have warned that the rushed adoption of renewable energy solutions could induce economic harm. Buttigieg, Dems’ Likely Presidential Contender, Wants to Take Away Your Cars

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg — considered the most likely Democratic candidate for president in 2024 after Joe Biden in the latest Washington Post ranking — says the solution to high gas prices is getting “most Americans” to switch to electric vehicles. Willingly or not.

As secretary, Buttigieg is issuing federal regulations to force states to limit the use of gas-powered vehicles. If he becomes president, we’ll be living in green hell, compelled to buy pricey electric vehicles to comply with his climate zealotry.

Right now, fewer than one percent of vehicles on the road are electric-powered. EVs are probably the long-term future. But they won’t solve the current pain at the pump. They cost too much. And charging them is a logistical nightmare. The United States has 150,000 gas stations but only 6,000 charging stations.

On a radio show Thursday, Buttigieg roiled the audience by suggesting that switching to electric cars — rather than producing more energy — is the answer. Meanwhile gas prices are predicted to rise to as much as $6 a gallon this fall, per an internal US Treasury analysis, and even higher in JP Morgan’s worst-case scenario.

EVs are not the answer. Buttigieg is living in la-la land. The average new EV costs about $66,000. One of the best deals, according to US News and World Report, is the 2022 Kia EV6, priced at $40,900 before add-ons. Even that’s more than most people can afford. Three-quarters of Americans who need a car buy a used one, paying around $27,000 for it. (Read more from “Buttigieg, Dems’ Likely Presidential Contender, Wants to Take Away Your Cars” HERE)

Remarkable Admission: Pete Buttigieg Announces Biden Inflation Plan Is to Create Increased Dependency State and Apply Socialist Economics, Biden Led Govt to Provide Medicine, Childcare, Housing and Food

Here is one succinct interview containing the smorgasbord of far-left policies the people behind Joe Biden are proposing as the solution to the inflation crisis they have created. It is remarkable to see it all packed into one 8-minute segment. There is so much crazy in here it would take a week of articles to unpack it.

The ultra-leftist Biden Transportation Secretary, Pete Buttigieg, appears on ABC with George Stephanopoulos to discuss the solutions to the massive economic collapse that looms all around us. Within the interview Buttigieg states the Biden administration goal is to use the high cost of living (policy driven inflation) as an opportunity for the government to take over household expenses and create equity via government distribution.

If reasonable people do not intervene quickly, the executive branch and legislative branch will move to begin subsidizing and controlling medicine, childcare, housing and food costs by diverting tax dollars into the social equity system. Depending on income, the Biden administration plans to offset higher prices for Americans by providing the essential services and products they need. In essence, Democrat-Socialism with a filter of equity in distribution, ie “enhanced dependency.” WATCH:

Remarkably, Stephanopoulos references one of the most insane New York Times op-ed’s ever written around economics {ARTICLE HERE}. Within the reference, the Democrat legislative proposal is for the government to take over the purchasing of essential products like food, fuel, gasoline and medicine. The government would then distribute those products. The entire premise is based on some academic leftist theory of economics that is just nuts. It looks nothing like capitalism.

The baseline for the approach contains the premise that inflation is driven by too many people chasing scarce goods. Thus prices are rising. This is how the Democrats look at inflation and explain the problem. Their solution is for government to buy the food at the prices they claim people cannot afford, and then sell the food at prices they claim the people can afford. [Replace ‘food’ with any item they determine]

Notice in the interview when Buttigieg is challenged about the high cost of gasoline, he complains that oil companies are not drilling enough to generate the oil and refinery capacity that we need. Essentially, the oil companies are to blame for not creating more supply.

Now, pause, and think about that.

The same Pete Buttigieg voices strong opposition to any further exploitation of oil and natural gas. Buttigieg and the Biden administration vociferously advocate for green energy transition with extreme urgency and apply punitive punishment toward any opposition. Moments later, they are blaming the oil and gas industry for not providing enough supply….

…. Do you know what that advocacy conflict sounds like? That conflicted and twisted mental outlook is the psychology happening in abusive relationships. If you had made me a better sandwich, I wouldn’t have needed to punch you in the mouth. If the oil companies we restrict were doing the things we restrict them not to do, then things would be better.

Because the oil, gas, farms or (fill_in_the_blank) etc are not doing their jobs correctly – as to predict the damage caused by govt policy and offset the consequences – then government must take over the controls of the industry and manage the process. History rhymes… (For more from “Remarkable Admission: Pete Buttigieg Announces Biden Inflation Plan Is to Create Increased Dependency State and Apply Socialist Economics, Biden Led Govt to Provide Medicine, Childcare, Housing and Food” please click HERE)
