Mayor Says Riots Started by “Undercover White Supremacists” Masquerading as BLM Supporters

By Tauren Dyson. The mayor of Richmond, Virginia, has blamed undercover white supremacists for the riots during Black Lives Matter protests this weekend.

On Sunday, Richmond Mayor Levar Stoney claimed white supremacists had marched “under the banner of Black Lives Matter” during the protests and inflamed the situation until it became a riot.

“Last night, that [violence] reared its ugly head right here in the City of Richmond … We saw some violent actions, violent protests, spearheaded by white supremacists. And frankly, it was disgusting. Disgusting. As they held plywood shields that read, ‘BLM,’ these folks toured areas of damage downtown, The Fan, breaking windows, tagging private property with hateful language,” Stoney said during a press conference, according to News 6.

Molotov Cocktails Thrown at Federal Court

By Breitbart. Protests descended into violent chaos yet again in Portland over the weekend, as protesters targeted the federal courthouse and reportedly hurled Molotov cocktails toward federal officers.

Chaos erupted in the city again late Sunday into early Monday morning as protesters attempted to breach the fence of the federal courthouse, hurling “mortar-style fireworks over the fence.”A group also lit what the Portland Police described as a “large fire in Lownsdale Square Park”:

On July 27, 2020 at about 12:59 a.m. somebody started a fire just inside the fence along SW 3rd Avenue. The fire started quickly, grew into large flames on the sidewalk, and was out within about a minute. Following that, dozens of people approached the outside of the fence with shields and began throwing objects over it.

Seattle Mayor: Trump Doing ‘Dry Run for Martial Law’ and Is ‘Responsible’ for Riots in City – Best Way to Have Peace Is ‘Bring More Justice’

On Monday’s broadcast of CNN’s “OutFront,” Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan (D) stated that President Trump’s actions “were responsible for what happened this weekend” in Seattle and “we are seeing the dry run for martial law.” Durkan also stated that the best way to bring peace to the city “is to bring more justice to the systems.”

Durkan said, “We don’t need the help that the president’s offering, and, in fact, I think the president’s actions have directly escalated and were responsible for what happened this weekend. Many people who were interviewed by media said they came to the protest because of what’s happening in Portland. The protest itself was billed as something in solidarity with Portland. 59 Cops Injured in Seattle

By Brian Trusdell. Fifty-nine police officers were injured during weekend riots in Seattle, the department reported, including abrasions, bruises, burns and a torn knee ligament with one hospitalization.

The Seattle Police Department blotter posted images of some of the injuries and wounds and included four body-cam videos stitched together, three of which showed explosives being thrown and detonating amid the cops and a fourth which showed a wooden plank hurled into the officers from a throng of retreating rioters.

“Officers are recovering from protests yesterday where they were struck with explosives, rocks, bottles, and wood,” the post said Saturday’s mayhem. (Read more HERE)

WATCH: Black Man With American Flag Stands Against Rioters Tearing Down Fence; How Bad Are the Portland Riots? Footage Provides a Terrifying Insight

By Fox News. A Black man carrying an American flag stood outside Portland’s Federal Courthouse Saturday night, telling a crowd of protesters that “none of you guys represent Black lives” as they tore down a fence during the city’s sixth straight week of nightly unrest.

Jorge Ventura, a reporter with the Daily Caller, captured video of the unnamed man sitting outside the courthouse when demonstrators began to remove the fencing surrounding the already vandalized and spray-painted building.

The man, wearing a face mask and holding an American flag, can be heard telling protesters that he lives in Portland as they ask him to move so they can occupy the steps of the courthouse. He asks protesters “why” they are taking down the fence.

“If you stand for justice come here and stand with me, stand with me because I stand for justice,” the man says in the video. “I’m not here to tear down this f—– fence, I’m not here to spray-paint.”

How Bad Are the Portland Riots? On-The-Ground Footage Provides an Insight

These so-called protests were labeled a riot late Saturday night as people – which looks to be a combination of Antifa and Black Lives Matter – demolished federal buildings and set fire to the Portland Police Association Headquarters building.

Epidemic: Residents in This U.S. City Call 911 Every 15 Minutes Over Homeless People

Officials in Portland, Ore. recently estimated it will cost $640 million over the next 10 years in order to help adequately prevent homelessness in the area, but a report out this week shows that many citizens from the City of Roses have simply resorted to calling the police on unwanted vagrants. In fact, authorities say that more any other problem, residents are calling the emergency hotline to complain about homeless people even when immediate danger is not present.

Katie Shepherd of the Willamette Week reports that the Portland Police Bureau receives a call from the public on average every 15 minutes per day to complain about an unsheltered person who “frightens or inconveniences them.” When lumped together with other calls such as mental health emergencies, police recive calls every 4 minutes for a non-violent issue. . .

“We get a lot of administrative-type calls,” Bureau of Emergency Communications director Bob Cozzie told WW. “Those kinds of things are certainly not 911 emergencies, but because they don’t know what other number to call, they call 911.”

This poses a problem for a number of reasons, chief among them the Portland Police have a lack of staff properly equipped to deal with homeless people who often have a mental illness. Advocates say the department needs more funding and training to help solve the crisis.

“The Portland Police Bureau has not been given nearly enough resources to fulfill its small piece in addressing the homelessness crisis,” police union president Daryl Turner said in a recent statement. “It’s a recipe for failure to put the burden of the homelessness solution on the Police Bureau’s shoulders and then give us insufficient resources to do the work.” (Read more from “Epidemic: Residents in This U.S. City Call 911 Every 15 Minutes Over Homeless People” HERE)

Professor Behind Journal Paper Hoax Fears He Could Lose His Job

A professor who fooled prestigious journals into running absurd hoax papers, as a test of their bias, says he may now lose his job because of his actions.

Peter Boghossian was one of three people who collaborated last year to test the standards of various university disciplines, submitting papers loaded with left-wing buzzwords to journals in fields like feminism, race studies, queer studies, and cultural studies.

Many prestigious journals fell for their absurd hoax papers. A leading feminist journal published a section of Adolf Hitler’s Mein Kampf that had simply been re-written with fashionable buzzwords. Another journal published a paper about “rape culture and queer performativity” in dog parks. . .

The three hoaxers all say that they are liberals, but they feared some university disciplines had gone off the deep end and now value politics over truth.
