Activists Are Teaming Up to Fight Sex Change Surgeries for Minors in This Blue State

California activists from both political parties are teaming up to put measures on the state ballot that would ban child sex change surgeries and ensure fairness in women’s spaces, they told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Protect Kids California, a group formed by Jonathan Zachreson, a Republican, and Erin Friday, a Democrat, filed three statewide ballot initiatives on Monday to ban child sex changes and puberty blockers, keep men out of women’s sports and require school officials to inform parents if a child wants to transition his or her gender. The pair has support from both sides of the political aisle in their effort to push the initiatives through, they told the DCNF.

“The media and the California legislators make it seem that it’s a Democrat versus Republican issue, but it’s not. I would say the majority of Democrats agree with us on this,” Sophia Lorey, a female rights activist who spoke at the announcement of the initiatives, told the DCNF.

The Protect Children From Reproductive Harm Act would ban child sex change surgeries and puberty blockers in the state, according to the ballot initiative. The School Transparency And Partnership Act would require that school officials inform parents if a student decides they want to be referred to as a gender different than his or her biological sex, and the Protect Girls’ Sports And Spaces Act would establish sex-segregated bathrooms and locker rooms while banning males from competing in female sports. Mom Scores $100,000 Legal Win After School Secretly Transitions Daughter

A mother from California was awarded a $100,000 judgment against the Spreckels Union School District after a middle school in the district secretly socially transitioned the woman’s 11-year-old daughter.

Jessica Konen’s daughter Alicia was referred to with male pronouns by teachers at Buena Vista Middle School and was permitted to use the boys’ bathroom, all without Konen’s knowledge or consent.

“Parents, please be bold, stand up for your children; fight for them, and fight for your rights,” Konen said in a video posted by the nonprofit Center for American Liberty following the ruling. “We let our voices be known, and we are so glad we did.”

Konen’s lawsuit said her daughter joined her school’s “Equality Club” in sixth grade and learned about “LGBT concepts,” transgenderism, and bisexuality, National Review reported. The school then helped to facilitate Alicia’s social gender transition, “giving her articles on how to conceal her supposed new gender identity from her mother and giving her a ‘Gender Support Plan’ that required school staff to refer to her by a male name,” the suit said. Attorney General Wages Legal War to Hide Kids’ Transgender Pursuits From Parents

The California attorney general is launching an all-out assault on parents and families with a new lawsuit asserting state control over schoolchildren.

On Monday, state Attorney General Rob Bonta sued to stop a new policy in a southern California school district that requires schools to notify parents whenever a child identifies as transgender and begins to pursue a so-called gender transition. The new guidelines adopted by the Chino Valley Unified School District in July would have required schools to tell parents if their child sought changes in pronoun use, sports participation, or bathroom assignments contrary to his or her sex.

The state’s Democrat attorney general argues the district’s new disclosure rule violates students’ civil rights and risks “emotional, physical, and psychological harm.”

“Every student has the right to learn and thrive in a school environment that promotes safety, privacy, and inclusivity — regardless of their gender identity,” Bonta said in a statement. “We’re in court challenging Chino Valley Unified’s forced outing policy for wrongfully and unconstitutionally discriminating against and violating the privacy rights of LGBTQ+ students. Half of Male Inmates Pretending to Be Female Are Guilty of Sex Crimes, State Data Shows

More than 50 percent of men who identify as transgender held at the Wisconsin Department of Corrections have been convicted of sexual assault or sexual abuse, according to a shocking new report from The Daily Signal, based on data obtained through a 2022 public records request by the Heritage Foundation.

According to the report, 81 of the 161 male inmates who claim to be transgender have been convicted of at least one count of sexual assault or sexual abuse. As The Daily Signal reported, sexual crimes could include “sexual exploitation of a child, sexual exploitation by a therapist, forced viewing of a sexual act, rape, sexual intercourse without consent, incest, sexual intercourse with a child, indecent behavior with a child, enticing a child, and more.”

The Department of Corrections would not disclose whether these male inmates were incarcerated in a male or female facility, but state policy indicates transgender-identified inmates can be placed in the wrong-sex facility in some cases.

These problems aren’t confined to Wisconsin. In January 2021, a law went into effect in California that could permit male serial rapists into women’s prisons. Transfers could be based on “individual preference,” meaning there is no need for male criminals to take hormones or amputate their genitals to be moved. Hundreds of inmates requested to be transferred in the months following the law, almost all men looking to be moved to women’s prisons. In fact, following the law’s passage, inmates were reportedly given contraceptives such as condoms and Plan B — which wouldn’t make much sense if it were really just a women’s prison — to deal with potential fallout.

Furthermore, studies reveal disproportionately high criminal patterns among male inmates who claim to be women compared to their female counterparts. Data shows that anecdotes of men assaulting women in historically all-female spaces are not one-offs, but rather, a trend. State Pays Nonprofit Encouraging Kids to Identify as ‘Foxgender,’ Teaching Schools to Hide It

The state of California has awarded a nine-year grant to a group that encourages students to identify as a wide variety of bizarre genders, including “foxgender,” and teaches school districts how to hide it from parents.

The California Department of Public Health has awarded a total of $2.3 million to a nonprofit called Gender Spectrum for activities such as developing “concrete strategies for applying the lens of gender diversity to school practices,” according to an investigation from the watchdog group OpenTheBooks.

The grant is intended for Gender Spectrum to conduct a “rigorous evaluation” of whether its own programs work.

Among those programs is the development of a six-page form for students to submit school districts their pronouns and whether school staff needs to hide their use of those pronouns from their parents.

“It’s not always the case that caregivers are supportive of their child’s gender, their gender journey, in that case, if parents are not supportive or if the child is not out, that’s not necessarily someone who will be part of the gender support team,” said Director of Training Carla Pena at the group’s annual Gender Spectrum Family Conference last year. Father Jailed After ‘Misgendering’ Daughter Lands Win in Appeal Court

A Canadian father who was thrown in jail after “misgendering” his gender-confused teenage daughter has scored a legal win in the British Columbia Court of Appeal.

A judgment issued earlier this month said Robert Hoogland did not have to spend any more time behind bars, and the court dropped an order for him to pay a $30,000 fine.

“I expected that I would finish — if not all of that six months, a big chunk of it [in prison],” Hoogland told The Daily Wire in a phone interview. “This is a huge win, because what it does is it was setting a precedent – and what they wanted was a real deterrent for parents, especially when they are standing up against the trans agenda, with what’s being pushed through the schools, by the school counselors and all of these different things.”

Hoogland — who was featured anonymously in the Daily Wire documentary “What is a Woman?” — took legal action after a Canadian children’s hospital in 2018 told him that his daughter, who was then just 13 years old, was going to be injected with testosterone, despite Hoogland refusing to give his consent. In Canada, the Infants Act permits minors to consent to their own trans treatments if doctors think it’s in their best interests; parents’ consent is irrelevant.

Disagreeing with the hospital, Hoogland said his daughter needed time and mental health support, not transgender medical interventions that can be irreversible. Testosterone and other trans interventions have been linked to fertility issues, lower bone density, and a host of other problems. Judge Refuses to Define ‘Woman,’ Dismisses Lawsuit by Sorority Sisters Who Sought to Block Man From Joining

A judge dismissed a lawsuit brought by six University of Wyoming Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority sisters seeking to block a trans-identifying male from joining.

The sorority sisters will now be forced to accommodate Artemis Langford (whose given name is Dallin), a 6’2″, 260-pound man who believes he is a woman. Wyoming U.S. District Court Judge Alan Johnson, after hearing allegations of sexual deviancy on Langford’s part, ultimately dismissed the case on Friday and stated that redefining “woman” to include males was “Kappa Kappa Gamma’s bedrock right as a private, voluntary organization — and one this Court may not invade.” Johnson notably used Langford’s preferred she/her pronouns in his decision and repeatedly referred to Langford as a “transgender woman.”

“The University of Wyoming chapter voted to admit — and, more broadly, a sorority of hundreds of thousands approved — Langford. With its inquiry beginning and ending there, the Court will not define ‘woman’ today,” Johnson wrote.

“The delegate of a private, voluntary organization interpreted ‘woman,’ otherwise undefined in the nonprofit’s bylaws, expansively; this Judge may not invade Kappa Kappa Gamma’s freedom of expressive association and inject the circumscribed definition Plaintiffs urge,” he added. Woke State Wages Legal War Against School District’s Gender Identity Parental Notification Policy

California Attorney General Rob Bonta, a Democrat, has announced a legal challenge against a Chino Valley Unified School District policy that requires schools to notify parents if their child seeks to identify as a member of the opposite sex.

The commonsense policy stipulates that schools must inform parents within three days of learning that a student is seeking to be recognized as a gender that does not match their birth certificate or other official records.

The policy states that the parent must be notified if a student asks “to be identified or treated, as a gender … other than the student’s biological sex or gender listed on the student’s birth certificate or any other official records. This includes any request by the student to use a name that differs from their legal name (other than a commonly recognized diminutive of the child’s legal name) or to use pronouns that do not align with the student’s biological sex or gender listed on the student’s birth certificate or other official records.”

Parental notification is likewise required if the student uses a restroom designated for members of the opposite sex, or participates in athletic activities meant for members of the opposite gender.

Bonta blasted the policy as “destructive,” “discriminatory,” and “dangerous,” and said that the policy “tramples on students’ rights.” He said that the policy “has already harmed and continues to threaten their mental, emotional, and physical well being.” He described it as “a forced-outing policy.” (Read more from “Woke State Wages Legal War Against School District’s Gender Identity Parental Notification Policy” HERE)

Disturbing Study Shows Massive Spike in Teens Getting Sex Change Surgeries

Teens between the ages of 12 and 18 increasingly sought breast and chest sex change surgeries from 2016-2019, according to a study published Wednesday by the JAMA Network, a medical journal.

The study, “National Estimates of Gender-Affirming Surgery in the U.S.,” reviewed data from patients between the ages of 12 and 40 years old and found that from 2016 to 2019 sex change surgeries nearly tripled from 4,552 to 13,011, before declining slightly during the pandemic in 2020. By 2019, the number of weighted breast or chest procedures climbed to 1,000, totaling 3,215 patients over the whole four-year research period in the study.

The overall total of transgender surgeries during the four years, including genital restructuring, facial, breast and chest surgeries, was 48,019, with the largest group being between the ages of 19 and 30 years old at 25,099 patients, according to the data. Teens made up 3,678 of the overall patients with 405 patients undergoing genital surgery.

Breast and chest surgeries were the most popular at 56.6%, with genital reconstruction coming in second at 35.1%, according to the data. Breast reconstruction was the most common specific procedures at 44.2%, while hysterectomies were the most common genital reconstructive procedure at 9.3%. Mom Sues School That Allegedly Hid Her Daughter’s Gender Identity, Led to Her Trafficking and Sexual Abuse

Michele Blair, the mother of a teenage girl who briefly identified as a boy, is suing the school board, school superintendent and multiple school counselors after her daughter’s school concealed the girl’s gender transition from her.

Sage’s story was the impetus for a Virginia bill that would have required schools to notify parents their child socially transitioned to another gender. “Sage’s Law” would also have prohibited teachers from hiding that transition and would have clarified that “misgendering” does not qualify as child abuse. State Democrats defeated the bill in Feb. 2023.

Sage’s parents were accused of “child abuse” due to concerns that they would “misgender” their teenage daughter.

Sage was repeatedly assaulted and raped as she was allowed to use the boy’s bathroom without her parent’s knowledge, Blair said in her testimony supporting the bill. At the time, Sage was identifying as a boy named “Draco.”

“She’d been jacked up against the wall by a group of boys, she was crying, terrified. I said just stay home, we’ll figure it out,” Michele said during a hearing on Sage’s Law in January. “That was my last conversation with Sage for five months. The night she ran, she went with a young friend she met online.
