Kentucky Gov. Backs Transgender Procedures Linked to Negative Health Outcomes for Children

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has maintained that he doesn’t support sex change surgeries on minors, but that he does support access to other so-called “gender-affirming” treatments, procedures that have been linked to negative health outcomes for children.

The issue has come to the forefront of the Kentucky gubernatorial race with Beshear saying in recent weeks that he doesn’t support transgender surgeries on kids, and that they don’t happen in the commonwealth. He has openly voiced support for non-surgical procedures. In his veto message of a bill banning all transgender procedures, including surgeries, on children, Beshear said that the bill would “cause an increase in suicide among Kentucky’s youth.”

This message is disputed by “detransitioners” and medical associations who say that transgender treatments on minors do not actually help mental health or reduce suicide rates, as well as medical groups that have warned of potential health risks from non-surgical gender procedures.

“There is not a single long term study to demonstrate the safety or efficacy of puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and surgeries for transgender-believing youth. This means that youth transition is experimental, and therefore, parents cannot provide informed consent, nor can minors assent to these interventions. Moreover, the best long-term evidence we have among adults shows that medical intervention fails to reduce suicide,” the American College of Pediatricians says.

The American College of Pediatricians is a medical association group founded in 2002 that is composed of over 600 physicians and other health care workers across the U.S. “who are dedicated to the well-being of children.” (Read more from “Kentucky Gov. American Academy of Pediatrics Announces Review of ‘Gender Affirming Care’

The American Academy Of Pediatrics (AAP) has announced a review of “gender-affirming care” for gender dysphoric children in a win for critics who have long called for such a review.

The country’s leading pediatrician professional association said last week that it will conduct a “systematic review of the evidence” around transgender medical interventions for children.

Such interventions can include puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, double mastectomies to make girls appear more masculine, and sometimes even genital surgeries for older youth.

The AAP authorized the development of an “expanded set of guidance for pediatricians based on a systematic review of the evidence,” the group said in press release on Friday.

However, AAP leadership also reaffirmed their confidence in the current guidelines and said they remain in the best interests of children. (Read more from “American Academy of Pediatrics Announces Review of ‘Gender Affirming Care’” HERE)

Rapper Doubles Down on Trans Comments After Backlash: ‘My Feelings on the Matter Are Mine’

Rapper Ne-Yo doubled down on his comments last week criticizing parents who allow their children to change their genders, saying in a social media post that that is his opinion on the matter and people are free to disagree with him.

“1st and foremost, I CONDEMN NO ONE,” he wrote on Instagram. “Who am I to condemn anybody? Your life, your kids, your choice. I was asked a question and I answered it. My opinion is mine. I’m not asking anybody to agree with me nor am I telling you what you can and cannot do with your children. I stated my opinion on a matter and that’s that.”

“Why should I care if my opinion upsets you when you don’t care if yours upsets anyone? Opinions aren’t special,” he continued. “We all have one. People voice them regularly whether they’re asked or not. I was actually asked mine. Agreeing to disagree is not a declaration of war. Y’all do whatever the hell y’all want to. But my feelings on the matter are mine. Same way yours are yours. Meanwhile, I love everybody. Don’t agree with some of y’all’s ideals … but love you no less.”

The musician made his initial remarks that sparked left-wing outrage during an appearance on VladTV with Gloria Velez when asked about transgenderism.

“Parents have almost forgotten what the role of a parent is,” he said. “It’s like, okay, if your little boy comes to you and says, ‘Daddy, I want to be a girl.’ And you just let him rock with that? You just let — he’s five.” (Read more from “Rapper Doubles Down on Trans Comments After Backlash: ‘My Feelings on the Matter Are Mine’” HERE)

VIDEO: Trans Protester Brings Cycling World Championship Race to a Stop

A transgender protester demonstrating for environmental causes and against the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) decision to exclude men identifying as women from women’s racing brought the men’s road race at the Cycling World Championships to a full stop on Sunday.

Five people were involved in the protest in which demonstrators glued themselves to the road. In total, it took authorities 50 minutes to remove the activists.

The Telegraph reports that a Scottish climate activist group called This is Rigged took responsibility for the demonstration.

The UCI took a leading role among international sports governing bodies in enacting new restrictions preventing males identifying as females from competing in women’s categories. Soon after UCI made its ruling, World Aquatics, the international swimming governing body, enacted similar restrictions. Taxpayer-Funded LGBTQ Center Teaches Kids as Young as 11 ‘Fundamentals of Drag’

An LBGTQ center in Ohio partially funded by county taxpayers is holding a monthly session teaching children as young as 11 the “fundamentals of drag.”

The Colors+ Youth Center, roughly 15 miles from Cleveland, welcomes kids from ages 4 to 17, and states that it is “run by two licensed professional mental health counselors.”

“In collaboration with Drag Queen Story Hour Cleveland, we offer monthly drag tutorials on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 6-7:30pm led by a local drag performer who teaches the fundamentals of drag (makeup, costume design, and performance),” the Colors+ website proclaims. “Youth are able to creatively express themselves in a safe, affirming, and age appropriate way. Funded by Cuyahoga Arts and Culture.”

The county funding comes from Cuyahoga Arts & Culture, which boasts that it is “one of the largest local public funders for arts and culture in the nation, helping hundreds of organizations in Cuyahoga County connect millions of people to cultural experiences each year,” adding, “Cuyahoga Arts & Culture is a strong steward of the public’s money, investing nearly $12 million annually in organizations that bring arts and culture to life in our communities. Each year we support tens of thousands of arts and culture programs and events that enhance the lives of Cuyahoga County residents.”

In July, the Colors+ Youth Center celebrated the election of one of its board members as President of the Ohio Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (OACES). (Read more from “Taxpayer-Funded LGBTQ Center Teaches Kids as Young as 11 ‘Fundamentals of Drag’” HERE)

Native Man Whose Sex-Change Operation Brought Him Nothing but ‘Discomfort and Pain’ Is Now Battling to Get Euthanized

The Canadian government is more than willing to euthanize the poor and the disabled, but appears reluctant to exterminate someone suffering the consequences of another controversial service it promotes and provides.

Lois Cardinal is a 35-year-old native man who lives on an Indian reserve near St. Paul, Alberta, and describes himself as “post-op transsexual woman of 14 years.”

Since his sex change appears to have brought him nothing but “constant discomfort and pain,” Cardinal attempted to take the Trudeau government up on its promise of euthanasia. However, he recently had his bid rejected — a decision he has since characterized as a “human rights concern.” . . .

Like other victims of sex-change mutilations and/or sterilizing hormone therapies, Cardinal is stricken with remorse.

TheBlaze previously reported that late last year, Cardinal bared his soul online, claiming that the system rushed him into a surgery that he “wasn’t yet ready for. One that resulted in [his] sterilization.” (Read more from “Native Man Whose Sex-Change Operation Brought Him Nothing but ‘Discomfort and Pain’ Is Now Battling to Get Euthanized” HERE)

Arizona Federal Judge Temporarily Rules Males Can Compete in Girls’ Sports

Last week, a federal judge in Tucson, Arizona, ruled in favor of the plaintiffs’ motion for a preliminary injunction blocking a state law that would prevent males from participating in girls’ sports. Arizona’s Save Women’s Sports Act was passed in 2022 and signed into law by then-Gov. Doug Ducey, ensuring that “…athletic teams or sports designated for ‘females,’ ‘women,’ or ‘girls’ may not be open to students of the male sex.”

Prior to the law’s passage in 2022, the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) had a policy allowing males to play on girls’ sports teams if they submitted a request that was approved by a “committee of medical and psychiatric experts, and consistent with AIA health and safety policy and if not motivated by an improper purpose.”

Arizona is not the only state to pass a law protecting girls’ sports. At least 20 other states have passed similar laws, most of which are also facing legal challenges. . .

However, the order, written by Obama-appointed Judge Jennifer Zipps, makes numerous “findings of facts and conclusions of law,” most of which sound like gobbledygook pulled straight from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) website.

According to Judge Zipps, the plaintiffs are likely to succeed on their claims that the Arizona law is unconstitutional because the two transgender plaintiffs, 11 and 15 years old, respectively, have taken medication that prevents them from going through male puberty. Parents’ Efforts to Suppress Transgender School Shooter’s Manifesto Would Be Unprecedented if Granted: Expert

The efforts of parents and Nashville community members to stop the release of Covenant School shooter Audrey Hale’s writings, if successful, would be an unprecedented move that could have bigger implications going forward, an open-government expert told The Post.

Tennessee’s victims’ rights statute does not give individuals a “carte blanche” to veto other laws, such as the one that allows people the right to public records, said Deborah Fisher, executive director of the Tennessee Coalition for Open Government.

“There’s nothing really to indicate that there would be this ability for victims to veto the release of otherwise public records and in, and in this case, crime records,” Fisher said Thursday.

Fisher is not a party in the ongoing litigation over whether Hale’s writings — previously described as a “manifesto” — should be released.

But she was asked by an attorney involved to provide her input on the history of the victims’ rights legislation, she said. (Read more from “Parents’ Efforts to Suppress Transgender School Shooter’s Manifesto Would Be Unprecedented if Granted: Expert” HERE)

‘No One Has a Right to Sterilize a Child’: Two Detransitioners Sue Doctors Over Medical Interventions

Prisha Mosley and Soren Aldaco, two young women who were medically transitioned as teenagers and have since detransitioned, are suing their doctors, alleging that the defendants’ medical interventions caused irreversible damage to their bodies.

North Carolina woman Prisha Mosley, who was just 16 years old when she was first put on a path to medically transition to male, says in a lawsuit that healthcare professionals lied to her, both by telling her she could become a boy and “grow a penis,” and by withholding critical information about permanent damage from such treatments.

Mosley, now 25, was given testosterone injections and underwent a double mastectomy as part of her transition when she was a teenager. She now has a deep voice, facial hair, a damaged vagina and chest, and doesn’t know if she’ll ever be able to have children.

Mosley’s doctors “lied to and misled her into these treatments and procedures for the purpose of making money off of her and bolstering their credentials in the emerging field of so-called gender-affirming care,” the lawsuit claims, naming her plastic surgeon Eric Emerson, counselor Brie Klein-Fowler, Shana Gordon, and Dr. Martha Perry as defendants.

“They lied when they told Mosley she was actually a boy; they lied when they told her that injecting testosterone into her body would solve her numerous, profound mental and psychological health problems,” the complaint continues. “They lied by omission, withholding critical information from her about the long-term adverse health consequences and permanent damage these treatments would cause her, and failing to inform her of alternative courses of treatment for her psychological problems.” (Read more from “‘No One Has a Right to Sterilize a Child’: Two Detransitioners Sue Doctors Over Medical Interventions” HERE)

Man Allegedly Shot and Killed His Pregnant ‘Boyfriend’ and Then Himself in Murder-Suicide

The Florida man who allegedly murdered his pregnant [“boyfriend”] and stole the life of the victim’s unborn child has a lengthy history of terrorizing the people in his life, as indicated in court documents.

Riley John Groover, 26, shot and killed himself after carrying out the homicide, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in Florida said.

His mother identified the victim as Camdyn Rider, 21, a transgender man who was eight months pregnant, according to WTSP.

This incident happened in the community of Inwood in the city of Winter Haven, authorities said. Groover shot Rider multiple times, said deputies, who did not name the victim or otherwise release information on him.

First responders and medical staff at the hospital could not save the unborn baby despite all efforts, the sheriff’s office said. (Read more from “Man Allegedly Shot and Killed His Pregnant ‘Boyfriend’ and Then Himself in Murder-Suicide” HERE)
