ICE Arrests 150 Criminal, Previously Deported Illegals

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency arrested 150 criminal and previously deported illegal aliens across the Los Angeles, California region this week.

ICE officials say about 40 percent of the illegal aliens arrested in the sweep had been previously released by state or local officials in accordance with California’s “sanctuary state” policy, which gives safe haven and shelter to all illegal aliens, including those with criminal convictions. . .

“The state laws preventing ICE from working in the jails is significantly impacting public safety by letting serious repeat offenders back out onto our streets,” ICE official Thomas Giles said in a statement.

“Our presence would be focused in the jails, rather than in the streets, and safer for all involved, if ICE could again coordinate transfers of criminal aliens with local jails,” Giles said.

ICE officials say all illegal aliens who were arrested in the raid who are not being criminally prosecuted will be deported from the U.S. Illegal aliens who were previously deported “are subject to immediate removal from the country,” ICE officials said. Study: Consequences Cut Illegal Immigration

By Free Beacon. Prosecuting illegal immigrants, or banning them from obtaining a visa, substantially reduces their likelihood of attempting to cross the border a second time, a new study concludes.

Although it only discusses a policy rolled out between 2008 and 2012, the study may have major implications for President Donald Trump’s zero tolerance approach to immigration enforcement, which still requires the prosecution of most childless border crossers.

The paper is a collaboration between two university professors and three researchers with the government-funded Institute for Defense Analyses. To conduct their analysis, the authors obtained detailed, person-level data on apprehensions at the southwestern border between fiscal years 2005 and 2012. They used fingerprint data to link repeated apprehensions, building a picture of who crossed the border and at what time.

The researchers were interested in the effect of the U.S. Border Patrol’s Consequence Delivery System program. Rolled out between 2008 and 2012, the CDS set up three different levels of sanctions for the people that USBP apprehends: precluding the detained person from acquiring a visa in the five years following detention, repatriating the person at a location far away from where they entered (to stymie efforts to reconnect with smugglers), and criminal prosecution. 6-Year-Olds Forced to Write Gay ‘Love Letters’ to Teach ‘Accepting Diversity’

By Life Site News. A primary school in England makes children as young as six write “love letters” inserting themselves into a homosexual fairytale, according to a recent video from BBC Radio Manchester.

The Blaze reports that the video profiles a class at Bewsey Lodge Primary School, in which teacher Sarah Hopson has her students place themselves in the role of Prince Henry and write a letter asking male servant Thomas to “marry” him.

“This school teaches children about LGBT relationships from an early age,” text over the video explains. “This class of 6 year olds is learning about gay marriage […] all ages take part in LGBT lessons.”

Children are “going to go out into that world and find this diversity around them, and they’ll find that at a young age as well,” Hopson told the BBC. “And the more they can be accepting at this age, you’re not going to face it further on because the children will be accepting now and will be accepting this diversity around them.”

Bewsey Lodge appears to pride itself for pushing the envelope in promoting homosexuality and gender fluidity to young children. Principal Paddled Elementary School Students so Hard They Bruised, Charges Say

By USA Today. An Oklahoma school principal is facing child abuse charges after he allegedly used a wooden paddle to spank two elementary school students, leaving the boys bruised.

Indianola Public Schools principal Gary Gunckel, 50, was charged Friday with felony child abuse after a disciplinary incident that occurred at school, according to a statement from the school district.

Paddling is legally permitted in Oklahoma schools, and one third of the schools in the state report using corporal punishment, according to a 2016 report published by the U.S. National Library of Medicine.

A concerned parent contacted police after she observed bruising on her son’s buttocks, the McAlester News-Capital reports. The mother had given Gunckel permission to swat her son after the boy was involved in an argument at school, but the mother felt the bruising was excessive, the paper reports.

Navy SEAL Drops Truth Bomb on Kavanaugh Accuser Believers

Robert O’Neill, the famous Navy SEAL who helped kill Osama bin Laden, says the “believe survivors” refrain surrounding Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh’s accuser is never used in conjunction with the 2012 Benghazi terror attack.

The SEAL Team 6 member who took out the United States’ most wanted terrorist during operation Neptune’s Spear added some military perspective this weekend to the controversy surrounding President Trump’s top pick to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Mr. O’Neill asked his social media followers why sexual misconduct allegations — like those leveled by California college professor Christine Blasey Ford towards Judge Kavanaugh — are supposed to be believed wholesale by the public, while Benghazi terror attack survivors like Kris Paronto are seemingly ignored.

Ms. Blasey Ford claims that Judge Kavanaugh attempted to rape her at an unspecified home during the summer of 1982. Individuals she cited as witnesses have failed to corroborate her claims. . .

Fraud Soars as More Men Sneak Children Into U.S. to Exploit ‘Family Loophole’

By Washington Examiner. Men now make up about 40 percent of illegal immigrant parents trying to sneak children into the U.S., as they leap to take advantage of the “family loophole” that means illegal immigrants who come with children get treated more leniently.

Fraud also has soared, with the Border Patrol identifying 150 cases from May to August of adults, men or women, pretending to be families to take advantage of the loophole.

Those 150 cases work out to an annual rate of 450 a year — or nearly 10 times the 46 cases recorded in all of 2017.

The numbers, which The Washington Times obtained from the Department of Homeland Security, signal the growing shift in immigration patterns as would-be migrants and the smugglers who shepherd them on their journey north exploit the soft underbelly of U.S. policy to gain a foothold here.

Jessica Vaughan, policy studies director at the Center for Immigration Studies, said children have become “pawns and deportation shields,” carried on the dangerous journey north and deployed to try to earn their parents more leniency. Italian Pro-Refugee Mayor Under House Arrest on Illegal Migration Charges

By Reuters. A town mayor in the south of Italy, known for his innovative approach to welcoming asylum seekers, was put under house arrest on Tuesday for allegedly favoring illegal migration, angering supporters but pleasing the anti-immigration interior minister.

Domenico Lucano, 60, mayor of Riace, a hilltop medieval town in Italy’s poor Calabria region, was put under home confinement by the finance police in the early hours, the local prosecutor’s office said.

A statement said Lucano and his partner, Tesfahun Lemlem, had organized arranged marriages with “particular ruthlessness” between local citizens and immigrant women and had set up “simple yet efficient” systems aimed at bypassing rules for migrants to be granted entrance to Italy.

Cory Booker Admits Something Shocking About the Accusations Against Kavanaugh

In a bizarre statement Tuesday, Senator Cory Booker (D-N.J.) appeared to state that it didn’t really matter to Democrats if Brett Kavanaugh were guilty or innocent. . .

Booker said in a statement to the media Tuesday that it didn’t matter whether Kavanaugh was guilty or innocent because he has shown himself to not be worthy of the “sacred institution” of the Supreme Court.

“So my hope that beyond the vicious partisan rancor that is going on,” Booker said, “beyond the accusations, we don’t lose sight of what this moral moment is about in this country and ultimately ask ourselves the question is this the right person to sit on the highest court in the land for a lifetime appointment.”

“When their credibility has been challenged by intimates, people who knew the candidate well as a classmate,” he continued. “When his temperament has been revealed in an emotional moment where he used language that frankly shocked a lot of us.”

Booker referred to the statement Kavanaugh made in defense of his character where he said that the false allegations were revenge for his role in the Ken Starr probe that led to Bill Clinton’s impeachment.

Stunning New Poll Reveals Drastic Turn in Midterm Elections

By The Blaze. Democrats got a gut check with a new poll from Quinnipiac showing that their lead in the generic ballot had been sliced by half for the midterm elections. . .

The Quinnipiac University poll found that Democrats had a generic ballot lead of 7 points, with 49 percent of Americans saying they’d vote for a Democrat while 42 percent said they’d vote for a Republican.

This lead represents half of the advantage the Democrats had in the same poll from September, when 52 percent of Americans said they’d vote for Democrats, while only 38 percent said they supported Republicans.

Levin Does Not Hold Back on ‘Liar’ and ‘Narcissist’ Jeff Flake

LevinTV host Mark Levin began his Monday evening radio show by looking at whether the claims against Judge Brett Kavanaugh are credible.

He offered praise to Rachel Mitchell, the Arizona prosecutor who was hired by Republicans to interview Christine Blasey Ford and Kavanaugh.

“Dr. Ford is not credible in the least when it comes to Brett Kavanaugh. Zero! Zero! Zero!” Levin continued. “Brett Kavanaugh … by every standard he’s an innocent man. And the disgusting media never disappoints. One slob after another.”

He tore into outgoing Sen. Jeff Flake for his constant capitulation.

“And this guy, Flake. See how he’s being celebrated now by the libs?” Levin asked. “This guy is a liar, he’s a narcissist, and I’m going to prove it to you later in the program. Stick with me.”

Watch: Ocasio-Cortez Proves She Has No Idea What Congress Does

Democratic socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez showed her extreme lack of knowledge about the basic roles of the three branches of the federal government during a speech on Monday, suggesting that after she is “inaugurated” into office that she will begin signing bills into law.

“After being spurned over, and over, and over again, short-changed on healthcare, short-changed on criminal justice, short-changed on education, there’s a lot of folks who don’t want to believe anymore,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “And that’s why what we have accomplished is such an immense responsibility. It is a responsibility.”

“It doesn’t mean you get everything tomorrow,” Ocasio-Cortez rambled. “As much as I would love that. I would love to get inaugurated January 3rd [and on] January 4th we’re signing healthcare, we’re signing this…”

Suspected Ricin Sent to Pentagon, Suspicious Letters to Trump, Ted Cruz Office

By NBC News. A flurry of suspicious envelopes targeting high-profile figures — including President Trump, Secretary of Defense James Mattis and Sen. Ted Cruz — were received in the past two days.

The Secret Service said in a Tuesday evening statement that it intercepted a “suspicious envelope” addressed to the president.

The mail was intercepted at a location outside of the White House. The Secret Service provided no other details about the envelope.

“We can confirm that we are working jointly with our law enforcement partners to fully investigate this matter,” it said in a statement. “Further, all threats directed towards the President, or any Secret Service protectee, are treated seriously and fully investigated.”

Earlier Tuesday, two people were hospitalized in Houston after a “white powdery substance” was found in a letter addressed to the campaign headquarters of Texas Sen. McConnell Triples Down: We’re Voting This Week on Judge Kavanaugh

By Townhall. Speaking during a press conference Tuesday afternoon on Capitol Hill, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell tripled down on his promise to hold a vote on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh this week.

“We’ll get an FBI report soon. It will be made available to each Senator. All the Senators will be able to look at it,” McConnell said. “We’ll be voting this week.”

During a speech on the Senate floor Tuesday, McConnell berated Democrats for continued their deployment of delay tactics against Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination.

“It started with straightforward political maneuvering. None of it worked, of course. But — whatever excuses they could find to delay, delay, delay. First, back in June, Democrats tried to argue the Senate shouldn’t confirm a Supreme Court justice in any even-numbered year. Then they were reminded that Justices Kagan, Breyer, and Souter were all confirmed during midterm election years. And that argument evaporated,” McConnell said. Mitch McConnell Says FBI’s Kavanaugh Report Won’t Be Made Public

By Huffington Post. The report from the FBI’s background investigation into the sexual assault allegations leveled against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh will be shown only to members of the Senate, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) announced Tuesday.

“We will get an FBI report soon. It will be made available to each senator and only senators will be allowed to look at it. That’s the way these reports are always handled,” McConnell told reporters on Capitol Hill, noting that background investigations are typically added to a nominee’s file for senators to access. . .

“There’s a growing consensus in the Senate that when the FBI’s investigation is complete, the finding should be released publicly with any personal information redacted,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said.
