MyPillow’s Lindell Says Sales Remain Strong Amid ‘Cancel Culture’

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell said on Feb. 9 that sales of the company’s signature product remain strong after several retailers recently stopped stocking the pillows.

“We’ve actually increased in sales. We’re actually up in sales. Our shipping’s behind,” he told The Epoch Times.

Wayfair and Bed Bath & Beyond, among other retailers, stopped selling MyPillow last month. The companies faced pressure from activists who dislike Lindell’s involvement in pursuing election fraud claims.

“Those were bots and trolls they were afraid of,” Lindell said, asserting what transpired was an example of so-called cancel culture. . .

“They’re just as bad as the people that are doing it because they did it out of fear. I’ve been with them for years, and they’re the ones that suffer because now those customers are buying directly from Mike Lindell, from MyPillow. So our business is up,” he said. Unity on Civil War: Both Sides See U.S. ‘Headed for Bloodshed’

The country is finally united — but not in the way that President Biden hoped for.

In a new Zogby Poll, both sides agree that the United States is teetering on the brink of civil war.

Pollster Jonathan Zogby of Zogby Analytics said that overall, 46% believe civil war is likely versus 43% who don’t.

“It’s quite astounding that nearly half of voters think we are headed for bloodshed!” he said in the poll analysis.

And while there were differences in how some groups felt about a civil war following the divisive election and the Capitol riot, more Democrats and Republicans than not said war is inevitable. (Read more from “Unity on Civil War: Both Sides See U.S. ‘Headed for Bloodshed’” HERE)

Want to Guess How Close Trump and the GOP Came to Winning…Everything in 2020?

Donald Trump is toxic. The GOP is finished. Joe Biden won; he has a mandate — all of these things are false. Also, it would seem demography is not destiny and higher turnout isn’t an automatic lock for Democrats. We have another autopsy of sorts from The Washington Post on the 2020 election. Want to take a guess how many votes Republicans needed to control everything? One million votes, two million? Nope. It didn’t even break 100,000. It was 90,000 votes. Republicans just needed 90,000 votes to control all of Washington this past election cycle. Literally minor changes in the presidential, House, and Senate races could have led to the GOP coming into 2021 with a unified government. There are many ways to skin the electoral cat as some have said in the past. It’s not all grounded in the popular vote. The Electoral College strategy is different. Are we shocked that Donald Trump had fewer popular votes than Joe Biden? No, we knew this was going to be the case, as the areas that are fastest growing are typically Democratic bastions, which also do next to nothing regarding expanding the Left’s ability to reach 270 any easier. What about Florida? Yeah, the state has become more diverse for sure. It’s also more Republican than it was back in 2000 — go figure. Demography is not destiny and there are a host of issues where civil war can break out among Democrats, especially regarding who is filling the campaign coffers. . .

Anyway, here’s the breakdown of how close the Republican Party came to winning the whole show (via WaPo):

Republicans came, at most, 43,000 votes from winning each of the three levers of power. And that will surely temper any move toward drastic corrective action vis-a-vis former president Donald Trump.

[…]

While Democrat Joe Biden won the popular vote by more than four points and the electoral college 306 to 232, the result was much closer to flipping than that would suggest. Biden won the three decisive states — Arizona, Georgia and Wisconsin — by 0.6 percentage points or less, which was similar to Trump’s 2016 victory. If you flip fewer than 43,000 votes across those three states, the electoral college is tied 269 to 269. In that case, Trump would probably have won, given that the race would be decided by one vote for each House delegation, of which Republicans control more. . .

The number of votes to flip the result was similar in the House. As the Cook Political Report’s David Wasserman noted in light of Tenney’s win, fewer than 32,000 votes could have flipped the five seats that Republicans would have needed to win the House majority — Illinois’s 17th District, Iowa’s 3rd, New Jersey’s 7th, Texas’s 15th and Virginia’s 7th.

Democrats’ Newest Political Crush Is ‘Privileged’ Harvard Grad Who Pointed Gun at Unarmed Black Man

. . .Democrats appear to have already settled on a political crush for the 2022 election cycle: John Fetterman, lieutenant governor of Pennsylvania. He’s a white man, obviously, and he’s running for Senate in the open election to replace Sen. Pat Toomey (R., Pa.), who is retiring at the end of his term. . .

Fetterman, 51, doesn’t look anything like the other white dudes Democrats have fallen for in the past. He’s 6-foot-8, bald, and covered in tattoos. Despite his “privileged” middle-class upbringing and his master’s degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, he looks and dresses like a nightclub bouncer, or the guy a union boss might send around to “solve problems.” That is no doubt part of the appeal.

“Big John Fetterman Can Save the Democratic Party—if the Democrats Let Him,” reads the headline of a Rolling Stone profile published days after the 2020 election. His campaign announcement video was praised for being “packed with Rust Belt grit.” Fetterman is fond of saying he doesn’t “look like a typical politician” or even a “typical person.” . . .

Fetterman’s exalted status among Democrats and journalists, however, could be short-lived. It will certainly be put to the test in light of a problematic New York Times report published Tuesday. The story details a 2013 incident during which then-mayor Fetterman detained an unarmed black man by pointing a shotgun at him:

In 2013, when he was mayor, Mr. Fetterman used his shotgun to stop an unarmed black jogger and detain him, telling the police that he had heard shots fired near his home and spotted the man running, according to the police report. “Fetterman continued to yell and state that he knows this male was shooting,” the police report says.

Laid-Off Keystone Workers Outraged Over Biden’s Executive Order

Laid-off Keystone Pipeline workers say President Joe Biden’s cancellation of the pipeline will negatively impacted their futures, according to multiple outlets.

Labor groups have said that the cancellation eliminated 1,000 union jobs and could erase ten times more construction jobs that the Keystone Pipeline would have offered, according to Fox News. In 2014, the State Department estimated that Keystone would have offered jobs for 10,400 construction workers over several seasons, reported CNBC.

“It’s hard to make plans when you’ve got an administration that’s trying to crush your future,” an unnamed Keystone worker told Fox News. “The best stimulus they could do for this country right now is keep people working.”

Tyler Noel, a Keystone worker in South Dakota, told CNBC that he needs the pipeline job.

“Anything that was coming in the next few months was supposed to be Keystone,” Noel said. “If I hadn’t saved my money through the years I would really be in a bind. But I’d say I’ve got at least three months, then I’m gonna have to do something.”

Time Magazine Gushingly Profiles the Successful ‘Conspiracy’ to Rig the 2020 Election

Corporate media has spent the last year arguing that Donald Trump’s claims about 2020 election integrity amount to “seditious” conspiracy theories. While maintaining that narrative despite the cognitive dissonance, Time magazine’s Feb. 15 cover story pulls back the curtain on a “conspiracy” among a “well-funded cabal of powerful people” in an “an extraordinary shadow effort” that successfully pushed Trump from office.

“In a way, Trump was right,” writes Time national political correspondent Molly Ball. “There was a conspiracy unfolding behind the scenes.” She later describes this “conspiracy” as something that “sounds like a paranoid fever dream — a well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and ideologies, working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information.”

Trump was treated like he had three heads for complaining the election was “rigged.” In the infamous speech he gave as violence broke out in the U.S. Capitol the day Congress certified the Electoral College votes, Trump said, “This year they rigged the election. They rigged it like they’ve never rigged an election before.” The left and some Republicans like Rep. Liz Cheney have insisted Trump’s strong claims like this incited an “insurrection.”

Yet Ball makes exactly these kinds of claims in the Time article, and goes on to substantiate them. It’s really hard to tell if the article is just a gloating bat flip, a horrifying attempt to radicalize more people among Democrats’ political opposition, or evidence the left believes Americans are so deadened under Democrat control they will not react to such public revelations of conspiracies to betray American self-governance.

The article is above all a striking work of doublespeak. It intones the “Trump is crazy” mantra at Trump’s charges of election-rigging while telling how powerful people conspired to rig the 2020 election. Ball documents a massive election-manipulation “conspiracy” among the nation’s rich and powerful. She shows an amazing level of contempt combined with ignorance about how someone who believes in self-government, as opposed to rule by oligarchs, might take this information. Leftists Aren’t Trying to Hide the Insane Policies Biden ‘Must Pass in His First 100 Days’

The Philadelphia Inquirer published an op-ed titled “10 policies Biden must pass in his first 100 days, as drawn by Philly artists,” on Jan. 24. . .

The 10 posters, as depicted in the Inquirer piece, call for reforms and more discussions pertaining to climate change, housing, the economy, student debt, health care, affirmative action-based lending, welfare, and quicker COVID-19 vaccine distribution. Each portrait is accompanied by a short description, essentially explaining the relevance of the position.

The article, while intended for Pennsylvania audiences, is valuable in understanding the radicalized policy preferences of Democrats across the country. Just last week, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., called for a $50,000 student debt forgiveness plan. As prefaced by the 2020 Democratic primary debates, nearly all candidates supported some form of universal health care. Even now-Vice President Kamala Harris put forth a Marxist-inspired “equity” video on Twitter before being elected, essentially saying to hell with American meritocracy.

. . .The description of González’s poster reads, “Everyone deserves safe, accessible, and affordable housing. … As one of the wealthiest countries in the world, the U.S. has the resources to ensure that everyone has access to safe housing.”

. . .As economists throughout the country have said repeatedly, a $15 minimum wage would be impractical and imprudent and would inflate our economy. A top-down approach such as this would send the message that each state in the union is somehow parallel in economic and social norms, whereas our differences actually make the United States such an awesome place to live. NIH Refuses to Say ‘Women,’ Refers to Them as ‘Pregnant and Lactating People’

Some may remember the good old days when political correctness and woke ideology hadn’t infected America’s scientific institutions. Well, those days are long gone.

For proof, one need look no further than to a recent news release from the National Institutes of Health in which the organization repeatedly opted not to utter the word “women,” instead choosing to describe them as “pregnant and lactating people.”

In the news release, scientists lamented the fact that thus far pregnant women have not been included in coronavirus vaccine trials and that due to their exclusion, many pregnant women now face the difficult decision of whether or not to receive the vaccine without the benefit of scientific evidence regarding its safety.

In response, the institute is calling for greater inclusion for pregnant women in vaccine research. The topic is an important one and worthy of discussion, but sadly it will undoubtedly be overshadowed by the institute’s woke choice to refer to such individuals as “pregnant and lactating people.”

After the NIH tweeted the release using the same phrasing, conservative commentator Ben Shapiro jumped in to clarify, writing, “You mean ‘women.'”

CDC Pushing Double Masks

Double masking can significantly improve protection, new data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows.

Researchers found that layering a cloth mask over a medical procedural mask, such as a disposable blue surgical mask, can block 92.5% of potentially infectious particles from escaping by creating a tighter fit and eliminating leakage.

“These experimental data reinforce CDC’s prior guidance that everyone 2 years of age or older should wear a mask when in public and around others in the home not living with you,” CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky, told a White House briefing.

“We continue to recommend that masks should have two or more layers, completely cover your nose and mouth, and fit snugly against your nose and the sides of your face,” said Walensky. (Read more from “CDC Pushing Double Masks” HERE)

Hillary Clinton: If GOP Senators Don’t Convict, It Proves That the Jury ‘Includes His Co-Conspirators’

Twice failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton sent a warning to Republican senators ahead of the first day of arguments in the Senate impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump concluding that they — the jurors — will prove that they are “his co-conspirators” if they do not ultimately side with Democrats and convict him.

“If Senate Republicans fail to convict Donald Trump, it won’t be because the facts were with him or his lawyers mounted a competent defense,” Clinton said on Wednesday. “It will be because the jury includes his co-conspirators”:

Clinton also retweeted a video of the deceptively edited video presented by lead House impeachment manager Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), who promised to impeach Trump before the former president formally took office and, notably, objected to the certification of the 2016 election results in 2017.

“As Rep. Jamie Raskin said of Donald Trump inciting an insurrection as president: ‘If that’s not an impeachable offense, there is no such thing,’” Clinton said:
