GOP Congressman Dies Due to COVID-19 Complications

Republican Texas Rep. Ron Wright died Sunday at the age of 67. He had been in the hospital for several weeks after testing positive for COVID-19.

Wright had previously battled lung cancer in the fall of 2020. He tested positive for COVID-19 in late January and was hospitalized. Wright’s office released a statement Monday saying he died peacefully with his wife “by his side.”

“Congressman Ron Wright passed away peacefully at the age of 67 on Feb. 7, 2021. His wife Susan was by his side and he is now in the presence of their Lord and Savior. Over the past few years, Congressman Wright had kept a rigorous work schedule on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives and at home in Texas’ Congressional District 6 while being treated for cancer. For the previous two weeks, Ron and Susan had been admitted to Baylor Hospital in Dallas after contracting COVID-19,” a statement from Wright’s office read. Authorities Investigating Mysterious Monolith That Randomly Appeared in Turkey (VIDEO)

A mysterious monolith has reportedly surfaced in Turkey, prompting authorities to launch an investigation into the object.

The roughly 10-foot tall metal monolith was found Friday in Sanliurfa province inscribed with the message “look at the sky, see the moon,” in old Trukish script, according to the Associated Press (AP).

The monolith was found near Gobekli Tepe, a UNESCO World Heritage site which is home to megalithic structures that date back to the 10th millennium B.C., according to the report.

Armed officers have scanned through CCTV footage to investigate any vehicles that may have dropped the object off, Turkish media reported Sunday, according to the AP.

New York State Employees Required to Have ‘Gender Identity Toolkit’ Training

All New York State employees are required to have training in the state’s new “Gender Identity Toolkit,” a resource to ensure the special rights of transgender and other individuals who are not comfortable with their biological sex are acknowledged and put into practice.

According to the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations website, the Gender Identity Toolkit will introduce state employees to “key terms, language, concepts, and laws related to fostering a respectful workplace and appropriate customer service to individuals who are transgender or gender non-conforming (TGNC).

Topics of the training will include a “language primer” of terms used by those engaged in gender ideology, use of preferred pronouns, how to “be an ally” to gender dysphoric individuals in the workplace, and gender transition planning “resources” for TGNC individuals.

If a President is convicted in an Impeachment, he is removed from office and can’t run for re-election—-President Trump can’t be removed from office, since he is no longer in office!

WATCH: Black Lives Matter, Antifa March Through DC, Chant ‘Burn It Down’

Black Lives Matter protesters and Antifa agitators marched through Washington on Feb. 6 and threatened people as they ate dinner, according to video footage and reports.

“Burn it down,” the demonstrators chanted.

“We are here tonight because black lives matter,” members of the far-left group also said. “Despite black lives mattering, black people are still dying at the hands of the police paid for by our tax dollars.”

Other video footage uploaded by independent journalists on the scene showed Antifa types fighting with police officers, who were trying to keep them away from restaurants. Some, clad in all black, could be seen holding the red-and-black Antifa flag.

Report: Parler Offered Trump Organization a 40% Ownership Stake for Exclusive Postings

Parler offered the Trump Organization a 40% ownership stake in the company if then-President Donald Trump posted comments exclusively to the conservative social network, Buzzfeed News reported Friday. Negotiations started last summer and were revived in November after Trump lost the presidential election.

In June 2020, members of Trump’s campaign met with senior management of Parler, Buzzfeed reported, but the White House legal counsel stopped the talks. When talks resumed, Parler proposed that Trump post to Parler four hours before posting to other social networks. Trump wasn’t part of the negotiations, Buzzfeed reported, and no deal was struck.

Parler has been effectively shut down since January, when Apple and Google banished the app because of its content moderation. It was later taken offline when Amazon stopped hosting the service. BIG BROTHER: Sen. Cornyn and Dems Want to Force Social Media Platforms to Submit Suspicious Activity Reports to the Feds

Another challenge to Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which protects tech platforms from being liable for various forms of content posted on them, has re-emerged, with bipartisan support. It takes a page from the Banking Secrecy Act (BSA) but, rather than filing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), the bill would force tech companies to file “Suspicious Transmission Activity Reports” (STARs) for “illegal activity” on their platforms.

This week, senators Joe Manchin of West Virginia and John Cornyn of Texas reintroduced their “See Something Say Something Online” act, which would force tech companies “to report suspicious activity to law enforcement, similar to the way that banks are required to report suspicious transactions over $10,000 or others that might signal criminal activity.”

According to a summary document from Manchin’s office, companies are “largely shielded from liability for the actions taken by individuals on their platforms, lacking incentives to clean up illicit activity. Even when they do take action, they often just delete the data rather than turning it over to the appropriate authorities, making it more difficult for law enforcement to go after bad actors online. Ex-White House Interpreter: ‘Canceled and Humiliated’ for Supporting Trump

The White House sign-language interpreter who was outed as a supporter of former President Donald Trump said Sunday that she hasn’t been offered a return engagement since — and blasted critics who attacked her credibility and professionalism.

Heather Mewshaw, who began working as an independent contractor for the White House last year, said she hasn’t been contacted by the Biden administration in the wake of a Time magazine report that revealed she translated speeches for conservative social media groups.

“The goal of my activity — at the White House or with Hands of Liberty — is that it’s all about access,” Mewshaw told The Post.

“The thing is, I was canceled and humiliated publicly and it was unjust and unfair.”

Mewshaw, a 41-year-old married mother of four from Glen Burnie, Md., also said she’s been “harassed” and “intimidated” online for providing American Sign Language translation for the Hands of Liberty Facebook group and its defunct predecessor, Right Side ASL. Andrew, who was forced into early retirement from royal duties over his connection to Epstein, has only seen his troubles worsen over the past year. He faces questions over his connections to Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite and alleged former madam to the House of Epstein Horrors awaiting a sex trafficking trial in the United States. What’s more, his pal Jean-Luc Brunel, the French fashion agent, was also recently arrested for sex trafficking. U.S. federal agents have long sought to interview Andrew about his ties to these alleged ne’er do wells, but he has endlessly dragged his feet. Despite Trump Declassifying Russia Memos, Most Aren’t Released

More than two weeks after Donald Trump officially declassified the evidence, the vast majority of documents detailing FBI and Justice Department failures in the now-discredited Russia collusion investigation remain out of public view in a delay that has thwarted the former president’s goal of sweeping transparency. . .

Just the News was able to obtain about 15% of the thousands of pages of declassified documents, from a hodgepodge network of White House officials who worked on the declassification, law enforcement and intelligence officials who got their own versions of the declassified documents, and members of Congress who were given copies of some memos in the final days of the Trump presidency. . .

The remaining documents, according to sources who have seen them, provide more details showing just how far the FBI went to deceive the FISA judges in an effort to keep surveilling Page and that the FBI’s true target for surveillance was the larger Trump campaign.

For instance, an August 2016 tasking document for Halper, one of the informants, made clear the FBI’s real focus of the investigation was to determine whether “anyone in the Trump campaign is in a position to have received information either directly or indirectly from the Russian Federation regarding the anonymous release of information during the campaign that would be damaging to Hillary Clinton,” according to a source who took verbatim notes from one of the documents.
