Amazon fired back, saying Pocan was suckered in. “You don’t really believe the peeing in bottles thing, do you? If that were true, nobody would work for us. The truth is that we have over a million incredible employees around the world who are proud of what they do, and have great wages and health care from day one,” the mega-corp responded on Twitter.

But on Friday, Amazon did a U-turn — and eventually acknowledged that workers do in fact pee in bottles in order to meet deadlines — if in a roundabout way. . .

First, the tweet was incorrect. It did not contemplate our large driver population and instead wrongly focused only on our fulfillment centers. A typical Amazon fulfillment center has dozens of restrooms, and employees are able to step away from their work station at any time. If any employee in a fulfillment center has a different experience, we encourage them to speak to their manager and we’ll work to fix it. . .

[W]we know that drivers can and do have trouble finding restrooms because of traffic or sometimes rural routes, and this has been especially the case during Covid when many public restrooms have been closed.

Biden Ready to Push Infrastructure Plan Without GOP Support

A top Biden official said Sunday that the president is open to pushing his $2.2 trillion infrastructure plan through Congress without Republican support.

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm suggested that the White House may pursue passing the legislation through the parliamentary procedure known as reconciliation that requires a simple majority in the narrowly divided 50-50 Senate. . .

“As he has said, he was sent to the presidency to do a job for America, and if the vast majority of Americans, Democrats and Republicans, across the country support spending on our country and not allowing us to lose the race globally, then he’s going to do that,” Granholm said of her boss on CNN’s “State of the Union,” although she added that the president would prefer bipartisan support.

“His sincere preference, his open hand, is to Republicans to come to the table and say, ‘if you don’t like this how would you pay for it, if you don’t like this, what would you include,’ so much of this though includes priorities that Republicans have supported,” she said. Muslim comedian and national talk radio host Dean Obeidallah compared former President Donald Trump to terrorist Osama Bin Laden in a bid to pressure the media to stop covering the former president’s statements.

Obeidallah, who is a frequent guest on MSNBC and CNN, said on Easter Sunday that Trump was comparable to Bin Laden in that they both inspired terror attacks on the U.S.

Questions the Media Should Ask President Biden About His Call for Economic Sanctions on Georgia

Given that the United States President has, for the first time in American history, called for an economic boycott and economic sanctions of a member state over dutifully and legally passed legislation, a reader passed along questions he’d like to see the White House press ask of the administration they claim to cover. The questions refer to President Joe Biden’s call for an economic boycott of Georgia over its decision to pass SB202, which will put into place mild election integrity reforms.

Q: Seeing that over the past year, almost 50 percent of small, black-owned business in America have closed for good and seeing how African Americans make up 55 percent of Atlanta, 54 percent of Savannah, and 55 percent of Augusta (where The Masters is played), does President Biden still think calling for an economic boycott and punishment by private companies on all Georgia citizens is a good idea? And will he now call for boycotts of The Masters, the Atlanta Braves, the Atlanta Falcons, and the Atlanta Hawks along with UGA & GA Tech. football? Why or why not?

Q: Does President Biden keep a list of other pieces of state and local legislation of which he does not approve? And over the next few years, if any of that legislation happens to pass and is signed into law, will he always publicly call for an economic boycott/sanctions by private companies so he may punish the local population for what he personally decides are their errors?

Q: Moving forward, should state and local municipalities brief and ask for approval by President Biden on legislation they are considering, so they may avoid the President of the United States actively pressing and pushing for an economic boycott/sanctions from private companies that would hurt the entire local population? Trump Says to Boycott MLB and ‘All of the Woke Companies’ Not Supporting Election Security

Former President Trump released a statement on Friday after news broke that the MLB is moving its All-Star Game out of Atlanta following Governor Brian Kemp’s approval of Georgia’s new election bill. Trump called out the MLB as well as “woke corporations” for “interfering with Free and Fair Elections.”

“Baseball is already losing tremendous numbers of fans, and now they leave Atlanta with their All-Star Game because they are afraid of the Radical Left Democrats who do not want voter I.D., which is desperately needed, to have anything to do with our elections,” Trump said. “Boycott baseball and all of the woke companies that are interfering with Free and Fair Elections. Are you listening Coke, Delta, and all!”

The MLB’s move comes after President Joe Biden told ESPN on Wednesday that he would “strongly support” the baseball league moving its annual game out of Georgia due to objections with the new election security bill. . .

The game was scheduled to be held at Truist Park — home of the Atlanta Braves — on July 13. The city has hosted the All-Star game only twice, in 1972 and 2000, and the event was poised to generate considerable revenue for the state’s economy. The MLB claims it moved the location of the game due to perceived voting “restrictions” contained in SB 202. Big Tech Monitoring Millions of Users Without Consent in New Ad Test

Google has made millions of its users the targets of a test for a new ad program without informing them, warns a privacy activist group.

The Electronic Frontier Foundation said Google’s test trial of its Federated Learning of Cohorts without consent “is a concrete breach of user trust in service of a technology that should not exist.”

Under the program, Google Chrome browsers “will begin sorting their users into groups based on behavior, then sharing group labels with third-party trackers and advertisers around the web.”

“Although Google announced this was coming, the company has been sparse with details about the trial until now,” EFF said. “We’ve pored over blog posts, mailing lists, draft web standards, and Chromium’s source code to figure out exactly what’s going on.”

Islamist Follower of Louis Farrakhan “the Messiah” Attacks Capitol Police Officers, Kills One; Facebook Immediately REMOVES Alleged Attacker’s Account

By WND. The suspect who allegedly rammed a barrier at the U.S. Capitol on Friday and killed a police officer identified himself on his Facebook page as a “Follower of Farrakhan,” the leader of the Nation of Islam.

Andy Ngô, known for his exposure of Antifa and other extremist movements, posted on Twitter the Facebook pages belonging to Noah Green before they were removed.

The New York Post reported Green, who was shot dead by police at the Capitol, is “a Nation of Islam devotee.”

The 25-year-old wrote on Facebook two weeks ago: “I was on the right track and everything I had planned was coming into existence. It required long hours, lots of studying, and exercise to keep me balanced while experiencing an array of concerning symptoms along the path (I believe to be side effects of drugs I was intaking unknowingly).”

Facebook Removes Account of Capitol Attack Suspect and Self-Described ‘Follower of Farrakhan’

By Washington Examiner. Facebook removed the account of the person identified as the deceased suspect in Friday’s attack outside the U.S. Capitol, which killed one U.S. Capitol Police officer and injured at least one more.

Noah Green, said to be a 25-year-old from Indiana, described himself as a “Follower of Farrakhan” and vocal member of the Nation of Islam. Authorities are investigating the attack and have not yet announced a motive.

Green was identified by numerous news outlets as the man who law enforcement officials say rammed his car into at least two members of the Capitol Police, smashed the vehicle into a barricade on Constitution Avenue, jumped out wielding a knife, and was shot and killed by police. All three were taken to a hospital. . .

Green’s posts on Facebook, which were quickly removed by the social media company, made it clear he was going through personal struggles, indulged in conspiratorial thinking, was a follower of the Nation of Islam, a breakaway religion from Sunni Islam based in part in the belief of black superiority over white people, and was a fan of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who is well known for racist and anti-Semitic views.

“After this horrific event, our thoughts are with the Capitol Police and their loved ones,” Facebook told the Washington Examiner on Friday. “We have designated the incident under our Dangerous Individuals and Organizations policy, which means we have removed the suspect’s accounts from Facebook and Instagram, and are removing any content that praises, supports, or represents the attack or the suspect. Florida Governor Signs Executive Order Banning ‘Vaccine Passports’

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed an executive order Friday that banned the businesses and the state government from requiring people in the state to use vaccine credentials to go about their business.

DeSantis declared on Friday that the Sunshine State would not allow any sort of “vaccine passport” to be used by the state government or businesses in their operations.

Specifically, businesses are not allowed to require customers or patrons to produce “documentation certifying COVID-19 vaccination or post-transmission recovery to gain access to, entry upon, or service from the business.”

Arkansas State Senate Passes Bill Banning Enforcement of Federal Gun Control Laws

The Arkansas state Senate voted this week to block federal law enforcement officials enforcing certain gun laws and regulations, sending a bill to the state House in the midst of congressional gun-control proposals.

The Senate voted 28-7 to approve the measure, which will then be sent to the House. Arkansas’ Legislature is overwhelmingly Republican.

“All acts, law, orders, rules, and regulations of the United States Government, whether past, present, or future, that infringe on the people’s right to keep and bear arms as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution and Arkansas Constitution, Article 2, [Section] 5, are invalid in this state, shall not be recognized by this state, are specifically rejected by this state, and shall be considered null and void and of no effect in this state,” according to the text of the bill.

The measure will prohibit any law enforcement agencies in Arkansas from cooperating with federal officials to enforce federal gun laws that go in conflict with the rights provided in the Arkansas Constitution, according to Arkansas Online. Some state lawmakers expressed a worry that President Joe Biden would ramp up gun-control measures.
