3 Pro-Life Advocates Involved in Abortion Clinic Barricade Convicted on Face Act Charges

Three pro-life advocates face more than a decade in prison after a federal jury convicted them on Friday for conspiring to barricade themselves in a Washington, D.C.-based abortion clinic in 2020.

The defendants – Jonathan Darnel, 41, of Arlington, Va.; Jean Marshall, 73, of Kingston, Mass.; and Joan Bell, 74, of Montague, NJ – were each convicted of a felony conspiracy against rights and a Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act offense for “forcefully” entering and “blockading two clinic doors” at the Washington Surgi-Clinic in Washington, D.C. on October 22, 2020, according to a Justice Department news release.

The defendants were part of a group of ten pro-life advocates who were arrested and indicted for allegedly violating the FACE Act, which makes it a federal crime to use force, the threat of force, or physical obstruction to prevent individuals from obtaining or providing an abortion and other reproductive services.

“I am definitely not guilty of the charges leveled against me, which is rather ironic that I should find myself in this position,” Darnel told Fox News Digital in an interview earlier this month. “Nevertheless, if a jury finds me guilty of FACE even erroneously, it would be an honor because the kids are worthy of protection.” (Read more from “3 Pro-Life Advocates Involved in Abortion Clinic Barricade Convicted on Face Act Charges” HERE)

Male Gets Crowned Homecoming Queen, Beating Out Numerous Girls

A Kansas City school is being mocked online for a decision to pick a boy to be homecoming queen. . .

It’s happened at Oak Park High in Kansas City, Missouri.

The students “just got sent a message loud and clear; boys are just better at things than girls are. Even at being a girl,” explained Libs of TikTok.

The report explained, “Tristan Young, a male student who identifies as a female, was crowned the homecoming queen this week. He beat out four lovely female candidates because actually identifying as the gender that you are is like, sooo 2010.” . . .

“We spoke with a parent in the district who asked to remain anonymous and she was disgusted by the district’s actions. She told us, ‘I’m appalled by NKC Schools’ continued support of the LGBT agenda. NKC Schools says they are ‘Champions for All Students’ yet by embracing radical political statements like this they not only indoctrinate children, but they are placing certain student populations over others. Having two homecoming ‘queens’ that are boys is a disgrace to the NKC Schools community. I hope more parents, community members and district employees start speaking out and start protecting children,'” the report explained. Hunter Biden Sues IRS Alleging Agency Whistleblowers Improperly Disclosed Info to Congress

Hunter Biden launched a lawsuit against the IRS on Monday, alleging IRS whistleblowers improperly disclosed information to congressional investigators about the Justice Department’s tax probe into his financial affairs.

Hunter Biden’s lawyers claim when IRS agents informed Congress and news organizations of the Justice Department’s alleged mishandling of its tax probe into the president’s son, the IRS whistleblowers allegedly disclosed the damning allegations improperly.

Among the allegations, the whistleblowers alleged Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf refused to allow investigators to ask about President Joe Biden being “the big guy,” the DOJ twice prevented United States Attorney David Weiss from bringing stronger charges against Hunter Biden, Attorney General Merrick Garland refused to name a special counsel in the tax investigation, and the IRS recommended charges against Hunter Biden that were not approved by Garland.

“This assault on Mr. Biden’s rights involved the public disclosure of his confidential tax information during more than 20 nationally televised and non-congressionally sanctioned interviews and numerous public statements,” the lawsuit alleges against his father’s government. One State Just Did Away With Cash Bail

Illinois became the first state to abolish cash bail as a piece of legislation called the Pre-Trial Fairness Act took effect on Monday.

The Pre-Trial Fairness Act is part of the SAFE-T Act, a broader piece of legislation that “enacts extensive reform impacting many areas of the criminal justice system,” according to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, going forward, people charged with the state’s lowest level offenses will most likely never set foot in a jail cell, including at a police station, after their arrest. These people will likely be released with a citation and a court date without being processed at the police station. Law enforcement will be allowed to take certain individuals into custody if they cannot be properly identified or if they believe the person is a danger to the community. Police will be required to explain why the person was held.

Judges will decide if a defendant poses a public safety threat. If they do not, they will be released without being required to post any money. Those arrested for violent crimes will likely be detained by a judge.

Fox 32 Chicago noted that opponents of the legislation are concerned that it will allow dangerous criminals to “slip through the cracks” and commit crimes. (Read more from “One State Just Did Away With Cash Bail” HERE)

Day Care Where Tot Died of Suspected Od Was ‘Obvious Drug Front’ With Adults Going In and Out — But Just Passed Inspection

It was an open secret that the Bronx day-care center where a tot died from suspected fentanyl exposure was operating as a drug front, a neighbor told The Post on Monday — raising crucial questions about how the site managed to pass a state inspection just days before.

Divino Nino Daycare owner Grei Mendez De Ventura, 36, put a business sign outside the basement space in the Kingsbridge building touting the day-care site more than a year ago — yet there were never any kids going in and out, claimed a woman who lives next door.

“We all said, ‘Drugas.’ How could you not know?” said the longtime resident, 69, who declined to give her name. “It was a day-care for a year with no children. For one year, she had a day-care with no children but people go in. But no babies?

“A day-care with no children and men coming in and out. Yes, we knew something. We knew something, something was not good happening there,” the woman said.

The neighbor claimed Ventura wouldn’t even allow her own child to go into the tiny facility, which became licensed to legally operate as a day-care in May — four months before a 1-year-old boy died and at least three other children were sickened there Friday. Chinese Military Conducts Massive Dispatch of Jets Near Taiwan

China’s military stepped up its provocative military operations around Taiwan over the weekend, flying over 100 military aircraft near the island democracy it has vowed one day to take over.

A total of 103 jets were detected on Sunday and 40 of the planes crossed the median line down the middle of the 100-mile-wide Taiwan Strait, the Taiwan Defense Ministry disclosed in a post on X, the site formerly known as Twitter. Nine PLA navy vessels also were spotted, the ministry said.

The Chinese warplanes included 10 Su-30s, 12 J-10s, four J-11s, 10 J-16s, two Y-20 refueling tankers and two KJ-500 warning and control jets.

The latest demonstration followed major PLA war games around Taiwan from Sept. 11-15 that included 20 warships, among them the aircraft carrier Shandong and two other action groups of destroyers and frigates. Taipei said that in response Taiwanese jets were scrambled, naval vessels deployed, and land-based missile systems activated.

The observance of the unofficial maritime dividing line between Taiwan and the Chinese mainland had until recently been a key tool in maintaining a fragile status quo. Analysts say the median-line crossings are the latest indication China is challenging the status quo despite repeated U.S. and Taiwanese complaints. West Must Prepare for a ‘Long War in Ukraine’ Says NATO Chief

NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg warned Sunday that the West must make preparations for a “long war in Ukraine,” and declaring that there is “no doubt” Ukraine will eventually join the American-led military alliance.

In an interview with the German Funke media group, the Norwegian politician threw cold water on the notion of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine coming to an end any time soon.

“Most wars last longer than expected when they first begin,” Stoltenberg said per France24. “Therefore we must prepare ourselves for a long war in Ukraine.”

“We are all wishing for a quick peace,” the NATO Secretary General continued. “But at the same time, we must recognise: if President Zelensky and the Ukrainians stop fighting, their country will no longer exist. If President Putin and Russia lay down their weapons, we will have peace.” . . .

On top of predicting a long conflict, Secretary General Stoltenberg, whose term in the NATO top role was artificially extended earlier this year due to the war in Eastern Europe, went on to proclaim that “there is no doubt that Ukraine will eventually be in NATO.” (Read more from “West Must Prepare for a ‘Long War in Ukraine’ Says NATO Chief” HERE)

Hunter Biden Doesn’t Want to Show Up in Person for Felony Gun Arraignment

President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden doesn’t want to head back home to Delaware for a hearing over his felony gun charges, according to a judge slated to preside over his arraignment.

“Defendant seeks to have the initial appearance on the Indictment in this matter held via video conference,” U.S. District Judge Christopher Burke wrote in a docket entry Monday, noting the “Government opposes that request.”

As a result of the disagreement, Burke issued an oral order Monday directing the younger Biden’s attorneys to deliver a response by Tuesday as to why he should be allowed to appear virtually for his arraignment for three felony gun charges.

Prosecutors were ordered to file their response no later than Wednesday, indicating Burke’s decision over the matter could come as soon as this week.

Although Burke is presiding over the arraignment, the case is being handled by U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika, the same judge who blew up the proposed plea agreement between the first son and U.S. Attorney David Weiss in late July after the parties were not aligned on the terms of the deal. Police: Homeowner Shoots Intruder, and He Responds, ‘You’re Gonna Have to Kill Me.’ So Homeowner Shoots Him Again

A homeowner shot a home intruder a second time after the intruder appeared to taunt the owner over the first gunshot wound he sustained, Georgia police said.

Fayette County Sheriff Barry Babb told WAGA-TV that the incident unfolded at a residence on Thursday when the homeowner called police about an intruder. At the same time, the home’s alarm company was alerting the police about an intruder.

Babb says that the homeowner confronted the intruder in the basement and gave him a warning. After that, he fired one gunshot and struck the intruder. . .

Babb said that the suspect started going up the stairs and said to the homeowner, “You’re gonna have to kill me.”

So the homeowner reportedly shot him a second time. (Read more from “Police: Homeowner Shoots Intruder, and He Responds, ‘You’re Gonna Have to Kill Me.’ So Homeowner Shoots Him Again” HERE)

Ancient Treasure Discovered Beneath Pagan Temple

Archaeologists discovered a rare treasure in an ancient Pagan temple outside of Lillehammer, Norway.

A team of archaeologists uncovered at least 35 gold pieces dated back to around 550 A.D. (roughly 1,500 years ago) hidden beneath a Pagan house of worship outside the town of Lillehammer, according to local news outlet Dagsavisen. The small pieces are as thin as aluminum foil and adorned with engravings of men and women wearing fancy outfits.

The pieces are as small as a fingernail and so detailed, it’s hard to imagine how our ancestors managed to make them so tiny. Some of the pieces show couples facing each other, whereas others depict them in some type of embrace, as seen in images shared on Facebook. . .

“Despite the fact that the gold nuggets are so small, the motifs have a striking richness of detail,” University of Oslo archaeologist Nicolai Eckhoff, who was involved in the discovery, wrote on Facebook. (Read more from “Ancient Treasure Discovered Beneath Pagan Temple” HERE)
