“Most Transparent Administration Ever” Suffers Curious Epidemic of Disappearing Email Systems, Crashed Hard Drives and Lost Backup Tapes

Remember when Barack Obama promised his would be the “most open and transparent administration ever“?

Hahahahahahahahahahaha. Good times, good times.

• Disappearing email systems:

A week before becoming Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton set up a private e-mail system that gave her a high level of control over communications, including the ability to erase messages completely, according to security experts who have examined Internet records.

• Crashed Hard Drives:

In one of the new[ly recovered] emails, Lerner apparently wrote, “No one will ever believe that both your hard drive and mine crashed within a week of each other.”

• Lost Backup Tapes:

…hundreds of former IRS official Lois Lerner’s previously “lost” backup tapes have been recovered, which could result in the recovery of a new trove of her emails. IRS Deputy Inspector General Timothy P. Camus told Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) on Thursday that it took investigators just two weeks to recover 424 backup tapes that were previously said to be irretrievable.

• And more!

In a Monday ruling, Judge Royce C. Lamberth, senior judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, accused the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of lying to the court and displaying “apathy and carelessness” in carrying out the law… Judge Lamberth described the “absurdity” of the way the EPA handled a Freedom of Information Act request from the Landmark Legal Foundation and then the court case stemming from it — including late last week admitting it lied to the court about how it went about searching for documents.

• Oh, wait–there’s more!:

Freedom of Information Act requests have been routinely ignored-from the very start of Obama’s reign. An Associated Press report found the Obama administration has grown more secretive over time.

• Gee whillikers, I forgot about this one:

The Justice Department’s internal watchdog offered Congress fresh evidence Tuesday that the Obama administration is failing to meet its promises of transparency, accusing department officials of interfering with his independent investigations into employee wrongdoing.

But it’s not a pattern!. Oh, wait. My bad. It is.

Given the number of IG and investigator vacancies, a suspicious person might think that the Obama administration was trying to hide waste and fraud in the various departments.

I could go on, but I think you get the picture.

That is, unless you’re a progressive, in which case, you’ll shriek the words, “But—Bush!” at the top of your lungs while spittle flies out of your mouth.

Zero Cops Killed by Obama’s ‘Bad’ Ammo

The White House claim that the ammunition for the popular AR-15 rifle should be banned as part of a “common sense” effort to protect police officers’ lives is being derided by police officers themselves as a shameful lie.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said this week that the .223-caliber M855 ball should be banned because it can penetrate an officer’s soft armor and can be fired not just from sporting rifles but “easily concealable weapons.”

The term “easily concealable” was used to describe the AR-15 handgun. A bulky 6 pounds and 25 inches long, the semi-automatic version of this weapon, with a magazine, would be difficult to conceal, say firearms experts. And it would likely not be the first choice of any street thug or gang member, as it retails for between $1,000 and $2,000.

In fact, gun-rights advocates and law enforcement agencies contacted by WND say they have been unable to document a single incident in which a police officer has been taken down by a criminal using an AR-15 handgun in the 20 years since this particular round, the M855 ball, has been exempted from the federal ban on armor-piercing bullets. It was exempted based on its use for sporting purposes.

“We have not been able to find a single instance where a police officer has been shot from this type of handgun using a bullet that pierces his soft-body armor, and if the administration had any examples you know they would be pushing it in everybody’s face to further their executive action,” said Alan Gottlieb, executive vice president of the Second Amendment Foundation. “We’ve scoured everywhere, gone into every source possible to try to find an instance of this and have not been able to find one.” (Read more from “Zero Cops Killed by Obama’s ‘Bad’ Ammo” HERE)

Backed by Planned Parenthood and NARAL, Co. Dems Kill Bill Protecting Babies Born Alive After Failed Abortions; W. Va. Goes Opposite Direction

By Steven Ertelt. Democrats on a Colorado state House panel last night defeated a pro-life bill to ensure babies who survive failed abortions receive appropriate medical care and protection.

In a party-line vote of 7-6, members of the Public Health Care and Human Services Committee killed the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, HB 1112.

Leading pro-abortion groups NARAL and Planned Parenthood encouraged the Democrats on the panel to reject the bill, which they did on a party line vote with Republicans supporting it, by claiming babies are not born alive after abortions in Colorado. That’s despite the fact that the Centers for Disease Control reports at least 1,200 babies born alive after botched abortions in one year alone.

In 2011, the CDC recorded 1,298 cases of infant death in the U.S. due to “Other perinatal conditions,” which includes ICD-10 category P96.4, death subsequent to a failed “termination of pregnancy.”

“If passed, HB 1112 would have required abortionists to provide medical care for a child born alive during a failed abortion. Currently in Colorado, there are no state requirements instructing an abortionist to provide any type of medical attention to the infant,” says Sarah Zagorski of Colorado Citizens for Life. West Virginia House Overrides Governor Tomblin’s Veto of Ban on Abortions After 20 Weeks

By Steven Ertelt. The West Virginia state House overwhelmingly overrode a veto issued by West Virginia Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin of a bill to ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy on unborn babies who studies show can feel intense pain. Tomblin, who claims to be pro-life, has twice vetoed the pro-life legislation to protect unborn babies.

The House voted 77-16 (7 not voting) to override the veto of HB 2568 and the state Senate is expected to follow suit.

More than 18,000 ‘very late term’ abortions are performed every year on perfectly healthy unborn babies in America, but Tomblin issued a veto of the legislation, claiming it is unconstitutional.

The veto was met with outcries from pro-life groups. (Read more from this story HERE)

Senate Failed to Override Obama’s Veto On Keystone XL Pipeline

By Laura Barron-Lopez. The Senate failed on Wednesday to override President Obama’s veto of legislation approving the Keystone XL oil sands pipeline, falling five votes short of the two-thirds majority needed in a 62-37 vote.

It’s the first time Congress has voted on whether to override a veto from Obama and could be a sign of things to come, with Republicans in charge of the House and Senate.

Eight Democrats voted with Republicans to override Obama: Sens. Joe Manchin (W.Va.), Heidi Heitkamp (N.D.), Mark Warner (Va.), Claire McCaskill (Mo.), Bob Casey Jr. (Pa.), Michael Bennet (Colo.), Tom Carper (Del.) and Jon Tester (Mont.).

Keystone supporters are optimistic that Obama won’t veto a six-year highway bill if it includes Keystone, despite vows by the president to veto any attempt to circumvent the federal review process of the pipeline.

If attaching Keystone to a transpiration bill doesn’t work, supporters say, they will try to link it to a broader energy package. (Read more about the fail to override the veto on the Keystone XL Pipeline HERE)

Keystone veto override fails

By Krishnadev Calamur. The Senate has failed to override President Obama’s veto on a measure to approve the Keystone XL pipeline project.

The final vote was 62-37, short of the two-thirds needed to override the presidential veto. Supporters of the measure had previously said they lacked the votes.

While issuing his veto, Obama had said Congress was attempting to “circumvent longstanding and proven processes for determining whether or not building and operating a cross-border pipeline serves the national interest.” (Read more from this story HERE)

US Ambassador Slashed in South Korea

The U.S. ambassador to South Korea was slashed by a man screaming about Korean unification Thursday morning in Seoul, and his assailant was immediately detained.

Mark W. Lippert was rushed to a nearby hospital with cuts to his face and wrist, the South Korean news agency Yonhap reported, and appeared to be splattered with blood but was on his feet, TV images show. He was on his way to attend a morning lecture in central Seoul when the attack took place shortly before 8 a.m . . .

YTN TV reported that the suspect — identified by police as 55-year-old Kim Ki-jong — screamed during the attack, “South and North Korea should be reunified.”

Yonhap TV showed men in suits and ties piled on top of the attacker, who was dressed in a modern version of the traditional Korean hanbok, and Lippert later being rushed to a police car with a handkerchief pressed to his cheek. The suspect also shouted anti-war slogans after he was detained, police said.

It was not immediately clear what weapon was used in the attack. An earlier report said it was a razor, but a witness told YTN that a knife was used. Yonhap added that it was the first time a U.S. ambassador has been assaulted in South Korea. (Read more from “US Ambassador Slashed in South Korea” HERE)

Iran Foreign Minister: We Believe We Are ‘Very Close’ to Nuke Deal [+video]

Iran has no intention of building a nuclear weapon, and the sooner the world recognizes that, the sooner there will be a deal aimed at curbing its nuclear capabilities in exchange for the lifting of crippling economic sanctions, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told NBC News.

“Iran is not about building nuclear weapons,” Zarif said in an exclusive interview with Ann Curry Wednesday. “We don’t want to build nuclear weapons, we don’t believe nuclear weapons bring security to anybody, certainly not to us.”

Zarif said his country’s nuclear ambitions were solely in the pursuit of “scientific advancement” and boosting national pride. “Once we reach that understanding, once this hysteria is out, once this fear mongering is out, then we can have a deal, and a deal that is not going to hurt anybody,” he said.

He added: “We are prepared to work round the clock in order to reach an agreement. We believe that we are very close, very close and we could be very far.” He said “there are details that need to be worked out.”

“We are very close if the political decision can be made to get to yes, as President Obama said,” he said. (Read more about what the Iran foreign minister said HERE)

Reporters Ask Outspoken Christian MLB Player About Homosexual Teammates, Here’s His Honest Answer

New York Mets infielder Daniel Murphy, an outspoken Christian, was questioned by reporters on the prospect of gay teammates and his team’s decision to welcome Billy Bean, Major League Baseball’s openly gay “ambassador for inclusion,” to spring training.

In his response, Murphy offered what he feels is Christianity’s “actual stance” on homosexuality. He also said he is definitely ready to have a gay teammate.

“Maybe, as a Christian, that we haven’t been as articulate enough in describing what our actual stance is on homosexuality. We love the people. We disagree the lifestyle. That’s the way I would describe it for me,” Murphy told the Star-Ledger.

He continued: “It’s the same way that there are aspects of my life that I’m trying to surrender to Christ in my own life. There’s a great deal of many things, like my pride. I just think that as a believer trying to articulate it in a way that says just because I disagree with the lifestyle doesn’t mean I’m just never going to speak to Billy Bean every time he walks through the door. That’s not love. That’s not love at all.”

When asked about Bean specifically, Murphy said he disagrees with the homosexual “lifestyle,” but that “doesn’t mean I can’t still invest in him and get to know him.” (Read more about the Christian MLB player and his answer HERE)

Amid Clinton Controversies, Democrats Yearn for an Alternative

By John Wagner. Democratic activists in early presidential nominating states say that new controversies swirling around Hillary Rodham Clinton have made them more eager than ever for alternatives in 2016.

The undercurrent of anxiety about Clinton’s vulnerabilities has grown in recent days with potentially damaging news of foreign donations to the Clinton Foundation and the former secretary of state’s use of private email accounts to conduct official business.

But as they survey the landscape, few Democrats see other credible contenders.

“The problem is, there’s nobody out there who’s not Clinton who’s the equivalent of Barack Obama,” said Larry Drake, chairman of the Portsmouth Democrats in New Hampshire. “He was a fresh face … and he gave great speeches and he turned out to be electable.”

The angst among Democrats offers new evidence that opportunities remain for other candidates despite Clinton’s commanding lead in early polls. H. Boyd Brown, a member of the Democratic National Committee from South Carolina who supports former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley, said Clinton will not wear well as Democrats are exposed to a continuing drumbeat of press scrutiny. Judicial Watch Sues for Hillary and Huma’s Egypt Emails

By Judicial Watch Press Room. Judicial Watch announced today that it has filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the State Department seeking any and all communications – including emails – from then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her Chief of Staff Huma Abedin with Nagla Mahmoud, wife of ousted Egyptian president Mohammad Morsi, from January 21, 2009 to January 31, 2013 (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of State (No. 1:15-cv-00321)). This latest lawsuit will require the State Department to answer questions about and conduct thorough searches of Hillary Clinton’s newly discovered hidden email accounts. Judicial Watch also has nearly a dozen other active FOIA lawsuits that may require the State Department to search these email accounts. Huma Abedin is also alleged to have a secret account as well.

Judicial Watch submitted its original FOIA request on August 27, 2014. The State Department was required by law to respond by September 26, 2014 at the latest to Judicial Watch’s request for:

•Any and all records of communication between Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Nagla Mahmoud, wife of ousted Egyptian president Muhammad Morsi, from January 21, 2009 to January 31, 2013; and

•Any and all records of communication between former State Department Deputy Chief of Staff Huma Abedin and Nagla Mahmoud from January 21, 2009 to January 31, 2013.

To date, the State Department has not responded.

Ms. Mahmoud threatened Mrs. Clinton after Morsi was ousted. According to JihadWatch.org:

In the words of El-Mogaz News, Morsi’s wife “is threatening to expose the special relationship between her husband and Hillary Clinton, after the latter attacked the ousted [president], calling him a simpleton who was unfit for the presidency. Sources close to Nagla confirmed that she has threatened to publish the letters exchanged between Morsi and Hillary.”

The report continues by saying that Nagla accuses Hillary of denouncing her former close ally, the Brotherhood’s Morsi, in an effort to foster better relations with his successor, Egypt’s current president, Sisi—even though, as Nagla laments, “he [Morsi] was faithful to the American administration.”

“Now we know why the State Department didn’t want to respond to our specific request for Hillary Clinton’s and Huma Abedin’s communications,” stated Tom Fitton. “The State Department violated FOIA law rather than admit that it couldn’t and wouldn’t search the secret accounts that the agency has known about for years. This lawsuit shows how the latest Obama administration cover-up isn’t just about domestic politics but has significant foreign policy implications.” (Read the original Judicial Watch press release HERE)

Where an Alabama Pastor Was Reportedly Seen Dropping Off His Wife Has Become Very Controversial [+video]

The wife of an Alabama pastor is hitting back at her critics after video emerged purportedly showing her husband dropping her off at a local abortion clinic, where she reportedly works one day per week.

Callie Chatman, wife of Pastor Louis Chatman of New Elam Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, told the Christian Post that she believes everyone is a sinner — and that people should look at their own transgressions before criticizing clinic workers and women who seek abortions.

“I feel that we have all sinned. None of us are perfect. No sin is greater than any sin. I don’t know why, other than that’s the only decision [abortion] that a woman could make,” Callie Chatman told the Christian Post. “That’s her right to make that decision, because that’s her body.”

Chatman, a certified medical technician who is employed by Reproductive Health Services, came under fire after David Day Sr., a Christian missionary, posted a brief video to YouTube that he said shows Pastor Louis Chatman dropping her off at the clinic.

“Sadly, this is a Montgomery pastor dropping off his wife who works at the [abortion clinic] here in Montgomery. We have spoken to her often and the only response we get is that God forgives and we are not to judge,” Day wrote in the clip’s description. “Her husband is the pastor of New Elam Baptist Church. Her son works here as well as the security.”

White House Task Force Wants Obama to Change “Thanksgiving” to “Celebrate Immigrants Day” via Executive Order

Susan Payne, a Maryland political activist who was interviewed on the Mark Levin Show last week, called into The Joe Miller Show yesterday and provided even more details on what a White House task force is planning with respect to illegals in this country.

She explained that not only did members of the task force make it clear that their efforts are designed to provide as much money and benefits to illegals as possible, they were also trying to expand ways to induce illegals to come to the United States. With respect to those who receive executive amnesty, Ms. Payne said the focus was “navigate [the benefits], not assimilate.”

But the most shocking revelation was that members of the task force want to see Thanksgiving be changed by Obama’s executive order to “Celebrate Immigrants Day.” Ms. Payne said she was “stunned” by the “audacity” and “insidious nature” of the Obama’s administration.

Listen to the interview here:

Ms. Payne also noted that the Obama administration is now allowing illegal aliens to claim “refugee status” for their family members who are presently residing in their home countries.

Finally, Ms. Payne stated that a group called the International Network for Public Schools is taking public school funding and creating public schools for immigrant children only. Such schools would likely violate the federal law under Brown vs. Board of Education.
