Alfie Evans’ Parents Release Heartbreaking Note to Protesters as They Fight to Bring Their Son Home

Alfie Evans’ parents have issued a heartbreaking note to supporters, asking them to stand down as they negotiate with the hospital to bring their dying child home, after reportedly being told they must make a major change in how they approach Alder Hey Hospital and Alfie’s medical team if they plan on letting their child die in peace in their comforting arms.

According to a shocking passage from the U.K.’s Telegraph, Alfie’s doctors told reporters that Alfie’s parents must make a “sea change” in their attitude toward the medical system holding their son hostage. . .

Alfie’s parents told media Thursday afternoon that they plan to meet with Alfie’s doctors as soon as possible. Alder Hey Hospital withdrew Alfie’s life support on Monday, but the child has survived, breathing on his own with only minimal help since then (although there has reportedly been no improvement in his condition).

In an apparent bid to placate doctors, Alfie’s parents released their note Thursday, through their lawyers, asking protesters to stand down and give both the family and the hospital privacy.

Alfie’s supporters were quick to observe that the note felt forced, as if Alfie’s parents had farmed the statement out to professionals — lawyers and public relations representatives — so that they could have even a small chance at bringing their boy to home for what doctors say will be his last hours. After all, Alfie’s parents are still very young, and not very well off, and they’re now at the mercy of Alder Hey Hospital.

Autism Disorder Increases in U.S. Children

U.S. autism prevalence has grown, according to a federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report, with about 1.7 percent of 8-year-olds affected in 11 states.

The study, based on 2014 research, again identifies New Jersey with the highest incidence. One in 34 children in that state, or 3 percent, fall on what’s called the autism spectrum, which encompasses a range of social, behavioral and learning disorders ranging from the barely noticeable to the profoundly debilitating.

Nationally, the prevalence has increased 150 percent since 2000, according to the study, which called autism “an urgent public-health concern.” . . .

Researchers aren’t sure what causes autism, although they suspect environmental risks or triggers. It has no cure. They caution that more children being diagnosed doesn’t necessarily mean that autism is becoming more common.

New Jersey — a wealthy, educated state with ready access to world-class health care in Philadelphia and New York City — has “better access to higher-quality information that lets us be more complete” in screening, Walter Zahorodny, a New Jersey Medical School professor and director of the New Jersey Autism Study, said in a conference call about the findings. Despicable: All Four Branches’ Military Heads Publicly Contradict Trump on Transgender Troops

Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Dave Goldfein told Congress Tuesday he was not aware of any negative effects from transgender personnel serving, joining all three other service chiefs in a rare public split with President Donald Trump over the issue.

Sen. Kristen Gillibrand, D-N.Y. (whose father is connected with the Nxivm sex cult founder, Keith Raniere), as she had with the top military leaders of the Army, Navy and Marine Corps when they appeared before the Senate Armed Services Committee for their budget hearings, used the opportunity to question Goldfein as to whether he was aware of any “issues of unit cohesion, disciplinary problems or issues of morale resulting from open transgender service.”

“In the last two weeks Gen. [Mark] Milley, Gen. [Robert] Neller, and Adm. [John] Richardson have told me that they have seen zero reports of issues of cohesion, discipline, morale as a result of open transgender service in their respective service branches,” Gillibrand said, referring to the chiefs of staff of the Army, Marine Corps and Navy, respectively.

Goldfein said he was not aware of any issues with transgender service members, but emphasized that each case is unique. Goldfein said among the transgender service members he had talked to, he had found a “commitment to serve by each of them.”

(Editor’s note: Of course, none of these brown-nosing Obama acolytes bothered to share with Congress the OVERWHELMING opposition of our service members to trannies serving with them in foxholes, tanks, subs, ships, barracks, etc.). Professor Gets What She Deserves After Spraying Fake Blood on NRA Lobbyist’s House

By The Daily Caller. A Nebraska professor has been charged with property destruction of an NRA lobbyist’s house, according to a Monday report.

University of Nebraska-Lincoln professor Patricia Wonch Hill received a misdemeanor charge after spraying fake blood on NRA lobbyist Chris Cox’s house in October 2017 and January of 2018, Omaha World-Herald reported.

Hill was not the only academic activist to protest Cox. Her UNL colleague, English professor Amanda Gailey, and former College of William and Mary visiting professor Catherine Koebel co-founded The Great American Gun Melt to lend the gun control movement a more radical element, according to The Washington Post.

Protesters Target NRA Lobbyist’s Home and Wife’s Business

By The Washington Post. National Rifle Association lobbyist Chris Cox says his house was splashed with fake blood — twice.

Then, someone made a fake website for his wife’s interior design business, altering images of artwork to show photos of child gun-violence victims.

Last week, two gun-control activists protested outside Cox’s Alexandria, Va., home and handed out fliers outside his wife’s nearby business.

“Mr. and Mrs. Cox have been targeted over the past few months by repeated acts of criminal and unlawful conduct, including having their home vandalized on two occasions,” Elizabeth Locke, attorney for the Cox family, said in a statement. “These coordinated tactics have crossed the line of civility and human decency.” (Read more from “Protesters Target NRA Lobbyist’s Home and Wife’s Business” HERE)

The Kanye Effect: Chance the Rapper Says ‘Black People Don’t Have to Be Democrats’ and Melts the Internet

The same day Kanye West set the internet on fire by tweeting explicit support for President Donald Trump, Chance the Rapper voiced support for freedom of thought.

“Black people don’t have to be democrats,” he tweeted Wednesday evening.

The Grammy Award-winning musical talent has been open about his support for Democrats like twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. His tweet was certainly not an assertion to Republican ideology, but, more importantly, an expression of support for freedom of thought, seemingly taking a note from Kanye.

Yet, such a tame and accurate statement set the internet on fire. Within just an hour of posting, the tweet received over 100,000 “likes” and more than 37,000 replies. (Read more from “The Kanye Effect: Chance the Rapper Says ‘Black People Don’t Have to Be Democrats’ and Melts the Internet” HERE)

Ex-Secret Service Officer Reveals Barbara Bush’s Astounding Last Request to Him

By Conservative Tribune. . .“As a special agent with the United States Secret Service, I had the opportunity to work on many protective assignments with Mrs. Bush,” Wackrow wrote.

“While I was never permanently assigned to her detail, I am thankful for two specific moments with Mrs. Bush, ones I will cherish as defining experiences in my career and testaments to her legacy, her candor and grace.

“The first occurred when I was a new agent, assigned to work a midnight shift at the Bush family’s summer residence in Kennebunkport, Maine,” he noted. “I was walking in the front yard at daybreak, preparing to end my shift, when Mrs. Bush suddenly appeared.

“In my world, it was better to be unseen, but in this instant, I was in the former first lady’s full view with nowhere to hide. Mrs. Bush gave me the warmest smile and said, ‘Well, it is good morning for me, but it looks like you have been up all night, so I will wish you a good night’s sleep.’ Stunned, I thanked her.” . . .

“After her meeting, as the motorcade started to travel back to New York, Mrs. Bush leaned forward and asked the head of her protective detail if we could stop before getting back into New York City, as she wanted to thank all the police officers who, she said, ‘so warmly welcomed me to New Jersey,’” Wackrow wrote. Ex-Secret Service Agent: Barbara Bush’s Code Name Was Absolutely Perfect

By CNN. . .Many years later, I encountered Mrs. Bush again when she made a visit to the New Jersey area. This time, I was driving her limo from New York City to an appointment in New Jersey. The motorcade was small and unassuming — traits that Mrs. Bush appreciated — consisting of a few Secret Service vehicles and one unmarked New York police vehicle. But upon exiting the Holland Tunnel into New Jersey, we were joined by an assortment of New Jersey State Police vehicles and motorcycles operating with full lights and sirens.

Typically, this was not the way that the former first lady liked to travel, as it drew undue attention. However, in this instance — with her husband’s presidency behind her — she was thrilled. Taking a quick glance in the rear-view mirror, I could see an amazing smile illuminating her face as she turned to her staff in the back seat, exclaiming, “They remember me! We have not had this much excitement since the White House!” . . .

Peering out the limo’s back windshield, I will never forget the image of Mrs. Bush shaking hands with the officers. It was a genuine moment of sincerity and unguarded kindness delivered out of the public eye, which, to me, defined this great woman.
When I was selected to the Presidential Protective Division, I attributed my desire to join the first lady’s detail to those moments with Mrs. Bush. I wanted to protect the institution of the first lady to ensure that an administration’s compassion and conscience would never be jeopardized.

With the utmost seriousness, Secret Service agents assigned to the first lady take the sacred responsibility of protecting a political and cultural icon, knowing full well that any harm that comes to the first lady could impede the President’s ability to govern. Turns out, Influential Progressive Group Has Some Sexual Harassment Skeletons in Its Closet

The Center for American Progress, a progressive think tank, had an internal sexual harassment problem, according to a report by BuzzFeed News Tuesday.

Benton Strong, the former associate director of communications for the “War Room,” is accused of sexual harassment by two previous female CAP employees, BuzzFeed News reported. One employee referred to as Mary described receiving “lewd and inappropriate text messages” from Strong, including wanting to perform oral sex on her. He discussed with male staffers whether or not black or white women are better at blow jobs and praised her body, she claimed.

Another woman claimed she reported to human resources that Strong asked women if a man had ever flashed them or masturbated in front of them. He allegedly made fun of a woman who claimed that it happened to her.

“It was like incessant. … It was like strings and strings of texts and her just being like ‘no no no,’” said Mary’s friend, another former staffer at the organization. Mary reported the instances to human resources and Strong was told not to come back to work. He was already leaving in three weeks to work for former Seattle Mayor Ed Murray who resigned in 2017 after five allegations of child sex abuse against him, according to The Washington Post.

However, Mary alleged that CAP’s management seemed frustrated that she spoke out against Strong in her exit memo. The former staffer claimed that management asked if she was “worth spending time or money on.” “All of this to say, I surely expected better out of an organization that housed a national campaign on sexual assault,” Mary wrote. Fresno State Announces Fate of Professor Who Celebrated Barbara Bush’s Death

On Tuesday, Fresno State University announced that the professor who celebrated the death of Barbara Bush and who promoted acts of domestic terrorism will face no disciplinary actions from the university.

Fresno State President Joseph Castro said that after reviewing the “facts” that the university will take no disciplinary action against Jarrar because she did not violate any university policies and she was acting in a “private capacity.”

Castro failed to address multiple other issues surrounding Jarrar, including her interference with Arizona State’s crisis hotline, her comments celebrating plane hijackers, and her calls for violence against specific people.

Jarrar sparked controversy last week when she tweeted: “Barbara Bush was a generous and smart and amazing racist who, along with her husband, raised a war criminal. F**k outta here with your nice words.”

Jarrar, who later bragged that she couldn’t be fired because of tenure, also tweeted: “PSA: either you are against these pieces of s**t and their genocidal ways or you’re part of the problem. that’s actually how simple this is. I’m happy the witch is dead. can’t wait for the rest of her family to fall to their demise the way 1.5 million iraqis have. byyyeeeeeeee.” (Read more from “Fresno State Announces Fate of Professor Who Celebrated Barbara Bush’s Death” HERE)

Melania Meticulously Plans First State Dinner

Details of President Donald Trump’s first State Dinner were revealed Monday, as the president and first lady host French President Emmanuel Macron and wife Brigitte Trogneux this week.

The dinner was meticulously planned by Melania Trump and the first lady’s office released a well produced video featuring her involvement, which included the caption: “After months of preparations, @POTUS and I are looking forward to hosting our first State Dinner with France! Thank you to everyone who has worked so hard to make this visit a success.”

In a departure from past State Dinners, the president is not inviting any Democrat lawmakers or members of the press to the shindig that will celebrate the historical ties between the two countries and mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I . . .

The French president and his wife arrive in Washington Monday evening and will join the first couple on a trip to George Washington’s home at Mount Vernon, where they’ll have dinner, CNN reported.

“Upon the arrival, the two couples will plant a tree, a gift from the President and Mrs. Macron, together on the South Lawn of the White House. The sapling is a European Sessile Oak that measures approximately 4.5 feet tall with an estimated age between 5-10 years old,” a release from the first lady’s office said. “The tree comes from Belleau Woods, and is a historic landmark of the United States engagement in the First World War. Over 9,000 American marines died in the Belleau Wood battle in June 1918 and the forest is a memorial site and important symbol of the sacrifice the United States made to ensure peace and stability in Europe.” (Read more from “Melania Meticulously Plans First State Dinner” HERE)

Planned Parenthood Sues State Because They Don’t Want to Be Inspected

On March 25, Indiana Republican Gov. Eric Holcomb signed Senate Enrolled Act No. 340, which amended a previous law that stated, “The state department may inspect an abortion clinic at least one (1) time per calendar year” and replaced the word “may” with the word “shall.”

In addition, the law requires medical providers who treat women for complications arising from abortions to report detailed patient information to the state.

Less than a month later, Planned Parenthood and the ACLU have filed suit against the state, claiming the law “imposes unique and burdensome obligations” that are unconstitutional. The plaintiffs argue that the law is unconstitutional because it targets abortions and abortion providers and not other procedures or clinics.

Jane Henegar, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Indiana, snapped, “Once again Indiana politicians are barging into the exam room with irrational demands and intrusive requirements.” The lawsuit claims many of the abortion complications listed by the law “are both extremely rare for abortions and are more likely to occur after other medical procedures.” . . .

Christie Gillespie, president and CEO of Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky, echoed that the new law “is not about patient safety” while asserting abortion care “is already incredibly safe.” (Read more from “Planned Parenthood Sues State Because They Don’t Want to Be Inspected” HERE)
